Interesting, I do do this round the buoy thing, especially with dessert! Cache all good, thanks.
Yay .I finally managed to find another Jack Speak for the day. These caches were solved last year but the opportunity to grab them always gets sidestepped.
The rain had started but it was hardly heavy. Having said that I had packed the raincoats for the week of holiday because rain wasn’t going to stop us from caching.
I almost felt embarrassed putting it on but I hadn’t put it in the suitcase just in case. The last thing I wanted was for security at the airport asking my if I had worn it. tftc

Had most of these solved for a while, and the remaining few solved in the car this morning. A quick find today. Hoping to finish picking up the rest of the series.
Holidaying in Victoria had a look at caches that are near our accommodation and came across this series. Given my love of pirates I had to give it a go. Early morning start with the kids while everyone else slept in.
My daughter was all worried as we approached GZ that we were going to have to bush bash, she was releaved when it didn't take us long to find.

We were heading over to Phillip Island to ensure we were there for the start of the Great Victoria Cache Crawl. We caught the ferry from Queenscliff and had laid ourselves a cache trail to follow around to Phillip Island.
The weather was great for caching as the sun was out and the wind was merely a gentle breeze.
We have had the Jack Speak series solved for quite some time and today we had the time to find quite a few of them. We suspect they were designed to be found heading in the Southward direction, but we were able to find a safe park for all of them as we headed roughly Northward.
We found the cache safe and sound, Thank you -Lisette- for this cache and to pimpmyballoons for adopting and maintaining this series.

Hi there pimpmyballoons,
This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.
You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so I am having to take the next step and temporarily disable the cache - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache to check, repair, replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log:-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another Geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
Thanks for your cooperation,

No success here for me today... is this going to be a problem for finding the final? Only time will tell... because I won't!
We solved these puzzles some time ago and finally managed to find time to come down to this area to find the caches. Apologies for some generic logs. Most of these caches were found reasonably quickly. However after searching for some time we decided to move on. Thanks to -Lisette-/pimpmyballoons for the cache.
Finally out of lockdown and busting for some caching, oshfam and I teamed up to collect this series. We had solved the puzzles a while back but not had the opportunity to get out to get them. Nice sunny day, still a bite of cold in the air we set off on our adventure. After a search deep in the bushes this one was finally located, signed and returned. Thanks for the cache.
After Lockdown 5.0, much needed caching was needed and what better way to do it by going out with my caching buddy Jetsons23. We had solved the Jack Speak series a year ago and it has taken us this long to finally find the time to go out and collect them. With the kids at school, we set off for our adventure. The sun even came out for us.
This one was a bugger to find. We almost gave up but after circling the GZ many times, Jetsons23 finally gets her hand on it, much to my delight. The hint can be interpreted in more than one way here.
The cache and log was in good condition.
Thank you for the cache and series Lisette and pimpmyballoons for adopting it to keep it going

Jack Speak - Round the Buoy was transferred from -Lisette- to user pimpmyballoons
After visiting a friend nearby I decided to grab some caches including the jack speak trail which I had solved long ago.
After 2 DNFs this was a quick find although the cache host is down to a very short length.
Thanks -Lisette- for the cache.

Why am I surprised? Accurate co-ords help! Not sure all this naval lingo will help me in the mountains, but this series was a confidence booster to puzzle solving capacity which is close to very average. Really enjoyed the research and the big ticks. Nice day out before the BIG winter LOW looms in on us. TFTC
Another Mornington Peninsula caching run today to pick up the first half of the Jack Speak series and then a few other odd caches here and there towards the end.
I'd solved the puzzles about a month ago, finally taking a closer look and realising they weren't as scary as they seemed, progressing through the series in spare time over about two days - nice and relaxing puzzles to solve that I enjoyed sitting and working out.
Overcast weather today with the occasional drizzle and lots of adventuring resulted in me becoming rather damp, streaked with mud and bitten by mozzies by our return home!
Thanks to -Lisette- for placing this series and maintaining it through the years.
This cache posed an interesting challenge in the form of many fallen horizontal branches in the vicinity of gz.
We checked them all thoroughly but couldn't seem to see any cache amongst them.
Reading a previous log helped narrow down where the cache could be, and, rather ironically, after looking down at the ground from reading that log, I saw the cache right in front of my foot, about a metre from the big branch pile next to a few other sticks and whatnot (and replaced it as such).
Thanks for placing this cache - I feel lucky to have spotted this one!

The hint didnt help here. I read previous logs but still unable to spot the little bugger.
Out with my geo son today doing our first geo trail together. We had finished interesting puzzles learning about all the navel terms a while ago and was just waiting for a full day to pick them up. Great day starting with the sun just rising and finishing off as it was setting, Discovering this area was an added bonus. Picked up this along the way. Thanks for the series Lisette we really enjoyed our bison day.
Out Caching with XAMBO4U for a Mother Son adventure day. Time to knock out this series!
#15960. Heading to Portsea for a few days but detouring down the left side of the Peninsula so I can gather up the Jack Speak Series that I have wanted to do for so long. Also picked up a couple of "Welcome To" caches along the way. Two DNFs and a lot of caches without clues did not help me to get the final - which will have to wait for another visit, maybe!
This one took us ages as there was such a pile of fallen horizontal branches at GZ. I finally widened the search and at 7 metres from GZ I spied the bright golden bison attached to a small piece of branch on the ground. I have now moved it back to the pile of horizontal branches at GZ.
Thanks -Lisette-

Our sole DNF for the day. Whether cache blindness set in here, or otherwise, I guess we'll see.
I had solved the series some time ago and had always intended to try and combine it with a couple of the shorter series' put out by other cachers to achieve a tally of 50 for the day. I thought some company might be in order both to add to the fun as well as provide a separate set of eyes. Nirgalagrin answered the call and a good thing too! He dialled in a little earlier than I and a number of those bisons might have taken a lot longer without him!
We did end up hitting 50 for the day and amongst those found the only 5/1 trad in the whole of Victoria by happenstance!
Thanks to all the COs who placed these caches for everyone to enjoy and indeed in the case of the Jack Speak series have maintained them for all these years.

I was staying in Balnarring this time last year and discovered this series. Here again this year and am on a mission to try and finish it. This one took me ages to find, got there in the end. Tftc
Just passing through the area and had time to pick up a cache .. I have a few more of the series to collect and this looked like a safe place to park as there was no traffic .. after reading the hint I ventured in .. I was just about to give up my search when something caught my eye Thanks Lisette for creating and maintaining the series. I am looking forward to collecting the remaining caches some time soon
Crustyvarmint and I decided to attempt this series after completing the puzzles but after doing about 10 of them we thought it might be advisable to go back to the ones we had already completed to check for clues. Oh well a newbie mistake I know but I was having a bad day.
Saying that most of these caches were reasonably easy to find (some more difficult) but well set up puzzles, a joy to complete and informative. Great series. TFTC.

I went out today with Bunadoorian. We had each solved the puzzles to locate GZ, then shared the hunt. It was an enjoyable trip and we gathered the information for the final, but somehow it didn't work. More time required to complete the task. Thanks very much for the series Lisette. Please accept the generic response for our finds today.
After the hectic festive season, I needed a day to escape from my busy life and do this series with beckNmonts. I really enjoyed exploring this area. -Lisette- Thanks you so much for the fun series.
Pwala and I decided it was about time we found these caches. We had solved the puzzles about a month ago, but today was the day we were both finally free. I was skipper for the day and Pwala the main finder. We managed to only have one DNF for the series, and had a great afternoon! Thanks so much for placing this series -Lisette-
Getting late in the day.
We spent too much time here, do moved on.
Will return though.

Staying in Cape Schank for a couple of days with sassieold55, and hoping we can put some smileys on this series again today TFTC
Last one for this session of caching, unfortunately its time to head home for the school run. Will return to finish the series off soon. This one took us quite some time and the cords were about 5 - 10m off.
Fantastic day for caching in the middle of winter and finding some mythical creatures. Out with Cheeky Wink for a great day of fun and this series certainly delivered. All puzzles solved earlier apart from the last one. Thanks Lisette for the effort put into this series. We enjoyed the route, the scenery and the hunting.

Found on a short caching run with gnome5580 on a nice sunny day, not as easy as some but got there in the end! TFTC!
Out for an early.morning cache hunt. Who knows where I will go or end. Tftc... 5. I must have been colour blind this morning how could you.miss that one on the first scan
I noticed a stray waypoint on my c:geo map as I turned the corner. "Oh, Jack Speak... I never quite completed those, did I?" The location looked familiar though. I suspect I neglected to add to the string of DNFs back when it was missing. It was quickly found today. Not least because of accurate coordinates. Thanks once more -Lisette-!
We had to go further into the scrub to find this one. It was definitely a case of teamwork where one person found the cache from afar and the other was guided to it. .
Headed out this morning with MazzyMay to find a few in the area. Took quite a while to locate this one with the GPS sending us all over the place. Eventually it turned up though. TFTC
After spending yesterday doing domestic chores around home, we sat and worked together to solve this series after dinner.
With +Wife doing the first part and me finishing each one off, it only took until 2am!
This afternoon we drove down here with our GeoMutts, EveTheStaffy and MaxTheCollie.
We picked up two letterboxes and a total of twenty in this series.
We also found a great fish and chip shop.
Thanks for the series -Lisette-
We will return to complete the course.

It was a lovely afternoon for a drive. The Geomutts are always impressed when their day includes sitting in the back seat, watching the world whiz by. Barking at other mutts and checking out the sights, sounds and smells in new areas.
Today had all of that, and more. Fish and chips in the park. Many finds and not a single dnf for us.
We started at "Letters to Dad", continued on through this series and finished our day at "Letters to Mum".
I drove all day and n0w0rries did most of the walking.
Thank you for placing this cache for us and others to solve and find -Lisette-

Another Jack Speak cache that I can turn from a Blue Sad Face to a nice big Yellow Smiley face since this one has been replaced.
Cache was quickly found after determining which item the hint was referring too.
Thanks for another interesting puzzle and cache Lisette

Find #3471
An early morning caching trip down the peninsula and it was a chilly start that warmed up as the sun came up. This was my fifth find of six and the final one of the Jack Speak series. It's been a while in the making as I had solved and found most of these a couple of years ago. I found the final earlier this year but this one eluded me . Having seen that it had been replaced I headed here to tie up a few loose ends in the area. This time I was pleased to make a pretty quick find in a likely spot. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Lisette. It was great to finally close out the whole Jack Speak series.

GPS was taking us to a spot and this came up negative. Geowife widen the search and discover to cache. Log signed and all back safe again.

After a bit of nagging on my behalf I finally got the CO of this series to do a bit of a maintenance run on some of their caches in the area that I have been trying to finish for a while. This morning was the selected day to get this done and double checking whether or not there are caches actually still here or whether or not they needed replacing, and in most cases they needed replacing. Eitherway had a great morning meeting another local cacher and keeping the game pieces playable. Thanks for the cache and the fun little trip.

It was pitch black in this area as the full moon went behind the clouds and the fog took over.
Was unable to find this one with the torches all on full power.
Perhaps another time.
Thanks anyway -Lisette-

No luck for me at this one either. Had a good look around but couldn't make the find. My only DNF in the series (though I now realise my poor record keeping has left me short of info required for the final and I may need to revisit a few earlier finds - D'oh!).
Searched high and low but this one alluded us. Will have to try again some other time.
Jack has spoken. I have had these on the Astro radar for a while. Great to explore and also catch with AstroThomas who is working in the waters near by. met some interesting people and tasted some good local food and sipped some local beers as I explored over a few days here.
Thanks to -Lisette- and *clear skies* from TeamAstro. Cache the planet!

The long-planned birthday cache run finally arrived! Having discovered that Omegaman1971 and I were born only two days apart, we agreed to go caching to celebrate our almost-joint birthday. Omegaman invited a few geocaching friends along, and we soon had a couple of cars full. After birthday cake and presents in Hastings, we piled into cars and started out on the Jack Speak series. We had planned this trip months earlier, and had long since solved the puzzles. We picked up a few other caches along the way to add to our collection of smiley birthday faces In the end, I did find my 1000th cache; it was nice to do it with such a great group of geocaching friends!
Thank you to everyone who placed and maintains caches in the region. I look forward to completing more of them when I move down to the Peninsula next year...

Okay...we have finally got to the Jack Speak series with 6 cache teams. We all worked on the series prior to arrival and moved though them progressively, making quick finds in most cases, although there were a couple of tricky ones. Also learn a lot about naval expressions. In most cases, this will be a generic post. Thanks -Lisette-. Great work. Which one to chose
Out with the Birthday Team (Morcs4, QueenK8, Promontory, Omegaman1971 and Happypants) to celebrate two birthdays. Thanks for the cache.
Found with omegaman, Promontory, Morcs4, (_o), QueenK8 this afternoon after a birthday bash in Hastings and we planned to tackle this series to celebrate the day, so far, so good with locating the caches. Another one down, thanks -Lisette- for the cache.
Found along side happy pants omegaman (._o) queen k8 signed under the birthday team.
Great day so far not as cold as I thought it would be. Thanks

Today gwd.aussie and I targeted this series of caches and enjoyed exploring the area. It was well into the afternoon when we started but in most cases we had the cache quickly to hand. This one we took the title a little too literally and circled the gz a few times before the cache was spotted.
Thanks Lisette for setting up this enjoyable series.

12:16 PM #1940 Out on a rainy day mission picking up a solved puzzle series with OzHockeyChick and MarkandKelly : fairly good hunt for this one... Took a bit longer than others tftc
Find number 7 for the series which Kelly and OHC sat up all night (well 2am) to solve. Had a few coordinate issues in finding this but got it done in the end. See our log on GZ29P5 for the full adventure...TFTC...
One of your trickier ones by far. GPS bouncing around again but somehow found it in fading light. Replaced cache & log. TFTC
Suscoe had a delightful day out on the Peninsular today.
It was mostly sunny with a cool breeze and some rain came in late in the day
How lucky were we.
Saw some beautiful countryside and enjoyed a fantastic range of caches.
Thanks to -Lisette- for this puzzle and cache.
All good today.

After picking up our new beast in Melbourne (Landcruiser) we headed over to Hastings in the company of DAB to conquer the "Jack Speak" series on this lovely sunny day. With perfect conditions for caching we started up one end and worked our way down to the last puzzle, collecting the clues as we went, enjoying the views from some of the vantage points. With the detailed hints making for quick finds most of the time. The new 4x4 didn't miss a beat , coping with the stop starting as we worked our way through the series making for a fun day. We unfortunately did not get all the clues for the final, but there will be another trip on another day where we can finalise this Naval slang series giving us an excuse to come back to this lovely area.
**Thanks -Lisette- for the fun puzzles and an awesome series.**

Another combined effort for a caching trip, today it was The_Tritonz and myself. Our plan was to grab the " Jack Speak " series of caches. It was very interesting learning all of these Jack Speak terms. Thankfully the puzzles weren't too hard either, they were all a pleasure to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, collecting the caches. There were plenty of laughs, mainly at Chris's expense. We were spoilt with the scenery and the gorgeous weather. Unfortunately we didn't find all of the clues and we missed out on the final. We will return for the missing clues and claim the final !! Thanks for filling in our day. TFTC -Lisette-
Today we targetted this series of caches and enjoyed exploring the area, accurate co-ords led to quick finds.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Down from Canberra for a MEGA geo-getaway geomission
Today's mission was to head down the Peninsula to target the Jack Speak series and to make a start on the caches along the sparkling coastline!
I solved the easy puzzles prior to the trip and I had a great day collecting the caches. All were easily found except for a couple that required a little bit more time to find
Thanks for setting up this enjoyable series, -Lisette-

Well, our plan when left camp this morning was to follow this road and pick up all the Jack speak caches, which i had solved at home the week before. Things started going fairly well with only one DNF in the section we managed to do. All of the caches we found in the series today were in good order and found with little fuss.
Things went pair shaped though somewhere along the way when i noticed i had made a slight error on one of the caches so pulled over to redo my maths. While sitting there we suddenly heard a big bang and looked up to see the back window on the new ute missing, smashed by a rock from a passing car. So that was the end of our day. Hopefully we can return and do the rest before heading home to Albury next week.

One of over 100 caches found on a big day's caching on the Mornington Peninsula with some great friends.
There were many styles of hides and some of the containers were very cool indeed.
Thanks to all the CO's or placing them for others to find.
The caches found with Jabs and Budgietas were signed as JCB.
