We planned a trip over to Pirongia today and decided to walk up this forestry road to claim the three caches here. It was a bit chilly at the start, but gradually warmed up into a beautiful day. I'm rather surprised that this cache is only usually found 2-3 times per year! Nice quick find here, TFTC 
Found ! Yusss. Celebrating a special day out in the rain geocaching. Beautiful place to walk and bike. Will continue the rest of the tracks. Thanks for bringing us to this awesome spot

Great hint. Easy enough to find but it was hidden well. Log book was quite wet and has fallen apart. TFTC
I needed to head here to pick up a TB that a friend of mine sent over from the states, made it here within a few months.
I needed to read the hint a bit more clearly but because it was raining i didn't want to keep my phone out to get wet. I wouldn't have come to hunt for it if it wasn't for the TB. I got soaked through looking for this and it ended up not being that bad. Log book was a tad damp (not as damp as me).

Easy Find well most of them a bit of back tracking, unfortunately
the logs were very wet but were able to be signed.
The track was surprising dry for the time of year
Tramped this track years ago don't think it had MTB tracks then.

Came down to do a recce for a tramping club trip next month so grabbed caches along the way. Short walk from the road end had the cache in hand. TFTC
A late morning start to get some fitness work in. Lovely and sunny and had the bush to myself and the birds tftc..
We decided to come out this way to test out our new mountain bikes and see how fit we are.... Turns out, not very. Found this one on the way down
Quick cache after lunching at the Persimmon Tree Cafe. Caught a fern thief in the act, shame on them. Had to take the long way home as the bridge to town was shut for some 150th year of Waipa celebration.
Beautiful Sunday today in Pirongia but surprised we only saw 1 biker, 1 walker and 1 pig hunter on the whole walk, next time will bring the bikes.

Had to find the cache fast and replace before the cyclists we met in the carpark came past. Never knew this existed so thanks for bringing us here!

Struggled to find a car park as there were a few people and horses about all getting ready for a ride. Started the walk while they were still getting ready so had to be extra careful when looking for the caches on this track.
Quick find here, now onto the next before the riders catch up.

Was sitting at home early Sunday evening, felt like popping out for a cache. Enjoyed the walk to this one - the sense of peace was wonderful, I really felt at one with nature. Unexpected feelings like this make caching so worthwhile

Excellent cache hide too. TFTC!This one has been on my Pirongia list for a while and today was the day to pick up this trio of caches. I decided to travel light and ran from cache to cache on this leg of the trip. I'll bring the MTB next time. All is good at GZ. Cheers for the cache.
Another easy find! I managed to get out of here just in time and back to the car with the man and his kids not 1 minute behind! Thanks for bringing me up there, cashkids!
Took the geo-dog for a bit of exercise up here then found the cache on the way down.

Nice drive up to the cache, always an area we have enjoyed coming to. Weather has held out remarkably well so far this trip. Scanned the Munzee whilst in the area - well it would've been rude not to! TFTC

Have had these ones on my list for a while now and finally thought it was time to collect all 3 up in the area. Headed out with a newbie and biked up the mountain. Cache was a quick find and in good condition. TFTC
Thought I'd bring pound hound for a walk before a late start at work today. Wasn't sure if this was dog-friendly, but figured there wouldn't be too many bikes around early Monday am. Cache all good, TFTC
After my big walk yesterday up on the Kaimais to Miss Unmissable and others I was looking for something a little less intense . So Mt biking AND caching what more could a girl want ? Oh yeah coffee after

Today was the day to knock off a few small tracks in the area that I hadn't yet got too, last of the tracks that I had planned to do today so thought that I should start at the far end and work my way down. Very pleasent walk in that made a change after the "Pirongia Triangle", easy find once at the GZ TFTC
Wow what a way to celebrate the 1st day of my holidays. Had a sleep this am after doing a double shift last night.
Ride the spyder to tge gate & found this cache then carried on up to do the 2. Mtb further up. I thought of using my electric mtb but thought that be cheeting. Ftf around 1245 today
