Our last day in the area before we head home tomorrow. A beautiful day to find some more caches here. Found with Earthlight and Shandyk, and signed the log EGS. TFTC.
Taking a few days off work so I can get away to Mildura for a long weekend. My first time in Mildura so lots of geocaches to tackle to keep me entertained. Perfect conditions to be outside and geocaching. A quick find here. Thank you Dmerry, for placing Up up and away for the geocaching community.# # #15814 # #
Caching in Mildura for the week with Bogonghazy, sorceysal and Geo dog. Nice quick find. Thanks for placing the geocache
A week of caching and golf with bogonghazy and Littleboss 2 in and around Mildura and of course any smileys we can pick up on the way.A busy airport today with lots of planes. TFTC
Our first full day in Mildura and after a quite cool night some beautiful Autumn weather has been really turned on. Blue skies and warm sunshine. We are staying a bit out of town but with quite a number of well-favourited caches nearby in the bushland and a variety of types we thought we would head out amongst them and try our luck. They were located along a range of bush tracks amongst the scrub so while dusty, fun to drive. Sadly no emus of kangaroos were spotted today to add to the fun.It truly was a great day caching with a fun range of gadget caches added into the mix. We awarded quite a few favourites to celebrate them, especially as we managed to solve them all.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Dmerry.**SKI Pair****
We found your cache today 11 May 2024 12:54pm , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC Dmerry
Found while having a look around the area today, staying in Mildura for the week. A quick find on the way in, cache in decent condition for its age. Cheers.Find #6972 on 18 Apr 2024.TFTC Dmerry!
After attending an early event at 6:30, we headed to Mildura to start our trip to SA.We picked up two caches along the way. Arrived at the motel, and met up with the other teams that we did the first part of the bike series back in April 2021.After dinner we headed out with 2 other teams and cached around the area.We did 2 trads, 2 virtual's and 5 multi's.We stamped the log as The Drovers or 'The Mob' to save space and time.'The Mob' this time included:- FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, and ourselves.Signed and replaced as found. Many thanks for placing this cache, Dmerry, for us and others to find.
Plans have been in place for a little while now about a convoy from the Canberra Mega to head over to SA and finish off what currently stands of the On Your Bike series. Today being day 1 of the trip away, todays convoy consisted of GoodLook, TheDame, feathertop, LB, FurfacesLL and myself. After a long drive, we finally arrived into Mildura and all the teams met up at our arranged accommodation. After some dinner, a couple of the teams went back out to enjoy a little more caching. Following the GPS to the next unfound cache and it led us to this one. A nice simple find here. Log was either stamped with our FFLL&RWLD stamp or The Mob stamp. Tonights teams involved The Drovers, FurfacesLL and myself. Thanks for the cache placement and maintenance Dmerry and thanks FurfacesLL for another fun trip away
I wont be up and away for a few days yet as I am in Mildura after attending the Leap Year Mega in Adelaide. The cache was a quick find but the log books appeared to be full but I managed to find a space for my name,
This was probably an appropriate last cache for my visit to Mildura given it's name. (I actually came this way to find a different cache nearby.)Thanks for the cache Dmerry.
Find#5913Nice hiding place What a epic road trip through Victoria and NSW on our way to Whyalla South Australia Thanks for the cache
I had grand plans for today but the forecast of 44C is probably going to change that. Let's see what I can get done before I bake. I set off just before dawn to find as many as I could. I found a total of 10 caches, with 6 different types in that lot, and completed 3 ALs all on the bike covering 60km for the morning. This was on my way out to a letterbox cache. Might as well stop for a look.
After a big day completing Turtle series yesterday, having a cruisy day sightseeing and picking up the odd cache here and there. Thanks for your cache DmerryRegards kbucky
On our return trip to Adelaide after staying with family at Snake Valley. Staying at nearby cp. Made a quick find. Tftc
Well my trip up to QOGM started a couple of weeks ago and I took the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. So after a couple big days out to Stonehenge, Isisford and Ilfracombe, The Tritonz and Roaming Howie finally joined me and we did the puzzle trail. Then a fun first muster day to Muttaburra and back then a great tea event and a few more caches.A trip to Stonehenge and back again for them. The second muster day and boy what a busy day as there was a lot going on in the car with everything we had to do.Collect trads, look at photos, find some forks and then some property numbers as well. The Mexicans as we were called teamed up with a couple of other cars The Morris and Pool Pool to have a lot of fun over the radio.Well all the caches have been found and after another great dinner event QOGM has officially finished. This was my first QOGM and I had a great time, but all good things must come to end and today I must start heading towards home but Im also taking the very long way around back to Victoria. So this was state # 4 for me on this trip.Roaming Howie is joined me on part of the Strzelecki track and left me at Camerons Corner.I continued on down the track and and eventually reached the black stuff again and stayed at Copley then Wentworth. The question for the day is will I reach Melbourne or make my holiday last one more night. So after finding a few more of the great gadget series and others around the back blocks the decision was made that I wont be home tonight. After circling around the airstrip I have now found the airport.A nice bit of bush opposite the main entrance. Thanks Dmerry TFTC.
Full old log placed in a ziplock bag and a new all weather log placed in cache. Thanks Dmerry for this cache
Probably time for a new container, but great that it has been here for over 10 years

Found while on a fabulous weekend away to Mildura to complete the Paddlesteamer & Turtle geoarts, and various trads, multis + gadget caches. The Canberra crew included Nibletricecakes, joolay, kittykatch, youban, dty73, tankengine, barb2e, Klsarc & albida33. We signed as Mildura May Adventures 23 (MMA23). Unless otherwise mentioned, all caches were quickly found. TFTC.
Today was our second day adventuring together in the district. Out to tackle the Paddlesteamer and as many other amazing caches as we can with a lovely bunch of Canberra friends! Always fantastic to be able to get away for a long weekend of caching together. Loved the red dust and the crazy caching trails. Thanks for all the hard work from COs make and maintain these caches. Called our trip the Mildura May Adventure so signed as MMA or MMA23 today. Great to be caching with you KLSARC, GLISS! Albida33, Kittykatch, Barb2e, Joolay, Tankengine, DTY73 and youban. Thanks for a great weekend everyone. Thanks for the cache.
Tankengine, Youban and I came to Mildura for the weekend for a bit of caching with a bunch of other Canberrans (signed caches we did together as - MMA. Which I think stood for Mildura May Adventurers. It’s so hard coming up with group names).
We had an awesome time and ate at some really nice places, met a whole bunch of lovely people and found some great caches. Thanks to all the COs for their placements and my caching friends for their help and great company.
This cache: A nice one to find here. Have done a few similar now, but it is always fun to find. Tftc!!!

After walking around Lake Hawthorn, before it got too hot, we then decided to collect a few hides which would not require too much effort in the incredible heat.
A quick find here.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border. Never mind, it is a wonderful day and we have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
fity_1965 and I decided to head away for an extra long weekend so that we could attend the Tri-State Community Celebration Events along with the other events that have popped up.
A fantastic time was had and a nice number of caches found. Thanks to all the CO's for holding the events and/or placing the caches.
It was past midnight when we decided to head to bed following the last of the CCE’s for the weekend. We were up surprisingly early and hit the road to grab some more of the Turtle series before heading for home. We picked up this one on the way passed.
It was wonderful to see cachers we hadn't seen for a while and to meet several new ones. There ended up being cachers from SA, Vic, NSW, Tas & QLD! Amazing!

28,522. Found with minniek while visiting the region for the Tri-State Community Events/International Geocaching Day weekend.
When minniek and I heard about the huge 8 event weekend (4 Community Celebration Events, 3 'normal' events and 1 CITO) to be held in Berri/Wentworth/Mildura/Euston celebrating International Geocaching Day, we knew that we wanted to be there. After three very busy days and 8 events, we were starting to get a bit weary, but still wanted to find some caches before starting the long haul home. We missed this one yesterday, so came back today. Quick find at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next one.
Thanks Dmerry !!

Wandered off with Purrfect Di [:X] , and met up with the Froghoppin duo [^] [^] and a whole bunch of other crazy cachers around the place too. Saw some sights, cached three states, and ate a whole lot of pub and cafe meals! Found far fewer mint tins than usual - gold star to Vic and NSW for that one!!!
Happy Geocaching Day weekend!
Lift off! I remember landing near here for some patients when working with the RFDS a few years
Much thanks to Dmerry for locating and maintaining this cache on our Vic geo-map

Wandering the countryside - searching, spotting strange items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck
Heaps of that luck stuff actually !!!
*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*
---
Caution! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for germs and bugs !!! . [xx(]
Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Truly fantastic of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!
