It is with sadness that we are archiving this cache. It was a really fun one but, after nearly 8 years, it has gone missing and it's too hard to remake. So goodbye Freshwater Beach Cache. At least 286 people were able to find you!
OCW morty8888 who suggested I do this one, which he had previously found, because it was a very clever cache with lots of fps. No luck and we think it's been muggled. Oh well I did see a photo though.
We came to spend the arvo at the Aquarium, only to arrive and find that it closed 18mths ago.... so what else should we do?? Go for a meander along the esplanade and find a cache. Interesting history. The homeless man was in residence but didn’t offer up any assistance. TFTC xo
Will Sydney's summer never end this year? Here we are late in May and there is no sign of it.
Another lovely warm sunny day just perfect for caching, so Ms Atalanta and I took the ferry to Manly and headed north, picking up caches on the way.
This was our fifth of six.

Very exciting. Introduced my friends to geocaching. Love the effort put into it, looks like it actually belongs and camouflaged in sight (kind of).
Don't look on the cliff, it's deffs in a easy to reach and near the sandstone benches.

Cool hide thanks
Lucky to have seen that style before
On scooter today and no pen.
Have provided pic without giving too much away.

My son used to live at Freshwater, and so, when I began geocaching, naturally I went in search of this hide! Without success. On my second attempt, I got lost in the circular and/or one way streets and ended up somehow at Manly.
That was all a couple of years ago, and I think I've grown a bit in geo-wisdom and geo-experience in that time. Also, I've chased a number of amazingly creative Zarfinders' hides and so had some idea of at least what NOT to look for. And I can now read a map.
Anyway, today I decided that this sad face on my virtual geo-map needed to be smilified. I came, I saw, I conquered ! All in about two minutes!!
Another awesome hide, Zargfinders!! And a great excuse to take in some sea air. Thank you.

With hatzofff for a few days caching around Sydney. We stopped by to collect your cache.
Now that just does not look quite right, does it? No, it does not indeed!

TFTF. This one has taken a few attempts due muggle presence and being a clever hide. Eventually got this one after a family sunset walk as dusk was drawing in. Kicking ourselves that we should have got this one sooner
It took us some time until we found something unusual but we were able to find it. Tftc, it is a beautiful spot!
Thanks for another cunning Zargfinders cache! We searched a few obvious spots, then expanded the search a little and saw something that didn't look quite right. Aha! The views from here are really awesome too! Favourite awarded. TFTC!
Another zargfinders' awesome camoed cache. We searched the obvious places first, came back empty. Extended our search a bit, what's that doing here? Ah, there it is. Thanks for the cache!
What a beautiful start to Boxing Day, coming down here and having some sun, sand and surf. It was pretty crowded at Freshwater but we got lucky at the carpark near the cache. Some surreptitious searching whilst taking some photos and something was spotted that seemed out of place. A great cache, a fav from us.
Fantastic cache, took a fair bit of rummaging around but kept my feet out of the bushes and no bashing here. Thanks for the cache

Found pretty easily with Nikis09601. Had no pen but took photo for evidence of find for both of us. Great camo. Now time for a swim.
Our first cache together! Thanks for bringing us to this spot, we met a lovely French man who does yoga there regularly and pointed us in the right direction. TFTC!
Loved it. Took a few minutes to find and then a lot more to figure out where the log was watched a dramatic surf rescue with a helicopter and jet ski just before finding.
I THINK I’ve spotted the cache but regrowth of the bushes mentioned in the hint means I actually would have to rummage. Too many muggles so will try another day.
There were some muggles at GZ taking selfies, but as we spotted quite a few discarded glass bottles over the wall, we started grabbing them and that was the perfect "cover" to disguise what we were really doing.
Didn't take long before we spotted something unusual, had a little feel and... bingo! Absolutely brilliant camo, loved it!
Plenty of other bottles left in the bush for the next finders to hide what they're doing, if needed...

Finally! This is the closest cache to our house and we have tried it four or five times and have even unknowingly found it before but today we figured out the camo. We’re getting more experienced in the tricky Zargfinders ways. Thanks Guys!
Really nice spot! Was sitting with caching assistant on the rocks below as the tide came in and started breaking just below our feet. Spent a while looking in all the cachey places but couldn't find anything. I Notice the last find is over 6 months ago - I had a day of DNF on every cache in the vicinity so not finding it today means nothing.
This was my favourite beach as a teen growing up on the area, nice to bring my kids back today as we live 4 hours north.
A beautiful spot for the cache, and an ingenious Camo, so fp from us. TFTC

Decided to go for a gaggle of caches today after a few days of only one find. But where to go? Only one viable area close to home (ie within a 30 minute drive), but I'm saving that for later this month... Decided on Queenscliff and surrounds. Went for six and found all of them. HUZZAH!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Finished the afternoon here. And there is a muggle on the phone right near GZ.
Waited him out and started the search. A few likely spots were espied, fingers quested where eys could not go, but nothing. Hmmm. Checked the hint. OK, that helps.
Then I spotted it. Obvious when you know. One of the best of its type I've seen.
Made the grab and completed signing duties. Then replaced off back to *The Hademobile*.

Found it ages ago (last year sometime) but for some reason wasn't marked as found. A genius hiding spot!
This is a good one! We discovered it last Monday, but it took us a few days to be sure that it was indeed the cache. Tonight, we took along a tool to open it and - voila - the smallest lookbook in our history.
What a beautiful cache. Congratulations to zargfinder for making it!

Here with coffeegirl29 but to dark and couldn't find ... back in the daylight for another go
I was going to give up, because of so many muggles in here, but after some time I decided to pretend to be a nature fascinatist While talking dozen of pictures of everything nearby, I finally saw something odd TFTC
Fav point for this cache, cause it brought me to this beautiful beach!

Went to see The Duke since we are frim Hawaii. I climb up the rock nectbti his statue.
Super cool camo. We really enjoyed this cache. Dismissed the hiding place initially, but went back for a second look and there it was!
Found something we think was the cache but no logbook found within. Maybe we just couldn't open it. Had fun in the rain anyway
Given the recent DNF, decided to check on this cache during my morning walk. Cache was indeed there - though hadn't been replaced correctly, so repositioned it.
Cache is ready and waiting to be found.

When we saw it was by the Zargfinders we thought it would be good and we weren't disappointed, it was great . TFTC fav point
I'd been going to attempt this one quite some time back, but there were a couple of muggles right on top of GZ so I walked further down the path and waited for them to move off. They did, but before I could get back, a busload of seniors pulled up and they all set up camp there. I did take a quick look as I went past, though, and thought I saw what the cache's camo was.
With today's heat, I decided the harbour might be a good place to be, and when the southerly arrived around lunch time I wandered from the Manly ferry wharf up to the cache. It must have been too windy for muggles, for I had the place pretty much to myself. My previous guess for the camo turned out to be right, but the ends of the bushes where they've been trimmed back are razor sharp and I gave myself quite a gash on the arm when retrieving it.
Of course, nothing ever quite goes to plan. After extracting the logbook, I went to sign it, only to find there was no pen in my backpack, so I put it all back and wandered off in search of a pen shop, eventually finding a supermarket way down in Albert Street. Pen bought, I returned, the only muggle being a woman sunbathing face-down on the far seat so I was able to very carefully extract the cache again and sign the log. Yay! At least I got plenty of exercise today.
Many thanks for the hide, glad to have been able to finally tick this one off.

Wonderful camo - seems we are slowly improving in our geo-sensing as it didn't take too long Tftc
Next to find be aware the cache log is full, you may squeeze your signing in somewhere. I have contacted owner to replace.

WOW!!! After trying to use stealth with searching the area and coming up empty handed in a few hiding places I saw something a little odd but not totally out of place.
Absolutely awesome cache, two thumbs up one of my favourites.

We think we found the spot but no special tool to extract. Or maybe we were in the wrong spot!
Just as we were walking away ready to log a dnf I just tried one more unlikely spot, and bingo! Well done on the hide, TFTC.
TFTC.

Awesome cache. Was not expecting the find. We spent a while looking, thinking that it was somewhere else. TFTC

I got confused by the other logs. Something distracted me. It's hard to get the clue as a foreigner. But after I found it, the clue made sense. Wonderful!
TFTC great concept, stealth required as had to wait for breaks between groups of whale watchers.
Got distracted by something I thought was the cache. Got there in the end. Tftc
Checked on the cache today and it wasn't too bad. Cache was easy to open but added a bit of lubrication anyway since we were there. The cache note is quite soiled and the log sheet is a bit dirty, but it's still easy to write on, so we left them as is.
Took me 1.5 hrs to fjnd it and was about to give up but then wooohaaa!! Found it. Very well camouflaged! I have to say this is the best cache I have ever discovered. TFTC!
We found it FINALLY!! Saw this last time here & didn't think to move it. I dismissed once as I couldn't budge it. Very hard to open. Lucky geo husband persevered. Needs cleaning & a bit of lubrication.
Previously logged under team account BoogieRogue. Re-logging with my individual account. Came back after some time for a quick easy find. TFTC.
On a company event at the beach and introduced a colleague to geocaching with this cache. Didn't bring a pen but took a photo. TFTC!
