MIA again... Area is not like it was when I placed the original, time to say good bye.
10/5/16. 8:50 AM.
1 DNF & 5 finds - Warwick Farm, Liverpool, Moorebank & Chipping Norton.
This one's a combined DNF / NA log. I returned to the site of my past failures, hoping to make amends. I was buoyed by the fact that the CO had put in a replacement just a couple of weeks ago and it had been found a week ago. As I walked up to the familiar GZ, I was glad to see that it was once again muggle-free.
I found a large upturned can that I could stand on to get up high. I tried where the CO had last told me it was. Not there. Called the CO & found that the new version had been hidden in a slightly different spot. Not there either. I don't think it's worth keeping this one going; it's not the nicest of places. I headed off to "Exercise Hoop" next.

1 DNF/NM among 5 finds this morning - Chipping Norton, Warwick Farm & Moorebank - trying to find the rest of the non-Splash 'n' Caches in this area.
After finding "Sail Away", I thought i'd have another crack at redeeming this past DNF, so I drove around to the Cabra Leagues club and parked under cover (it's getting to be quite hot today). As I walked, I thought I'd see if the CO could elaborate the hint a little further for me so that I would have every chance of not having a 2nd DNF here. The CO was generous with information and I knew where it should have been - not somewhere that I had checked all that thoroughly last time.
But how to get there? I found a way to get a clear view of the described area, and it was indeed cache-free. I have let the CO know; the next version might need a means of being secured. I decided I wanted a fifth find, so I returned to the car before making my way towards "ernie smith reserve". I'll be back some day.

There are 5 GC caches in Warwick Farm including a pair of the Splash n Cache series (the rest of that series are in neighbouring Chipping Norton). I wanted to find the three land-based caches and only ended up finding "King of the Castle". I came here after that, parking at the Cabramatta Rugby Club and walking along the track, over the creek & back into WF.
The area was deserted, although the abandoned homeless possessions nearby were a little disconcerting. I tried a couple of common types of hide, but these didn't budge. I then found a means to give myself more height, and used my camera phone to search some other areas, still no luck.
After giving up here, I looked at "3 Bridges So Far". From what little I had read, it seemed that today's rain would make that cache one to leave for a better day. So, what with the rain, my lack of finds today, the woeful amount of traffic about, I couldn't have been in a fouler mood, so headed home.

Great find and nice quiet stroll! Muggles biking and walking their dogs, though quiet and empty for the most part. Cheers!
#3088 - 13:35; I was on a caching run to Sydney with Sol de lune to pick up a few GCA trigs. We took the chance to grab some nearby GC traditionals along the way including this one. We took a detour to grab this one and did a search for the GCA moveable which was also supposed to share the location. Sdl made a quick find of theis one, but we came up empty on the other. TFTC Rainbow Spirit
Parked nearby and walked down the path to start the search. This was actually a day for GCA caches, and we came here for LuckyL10n to try and find the moveable....but alas no sign of that one.
This one was no problem though and the log was soon being signed.
Thanks for showing us the area Rainbow Spirit......

Looking up in the places where i thought but to no avail and something white on the ground caught my eye. Found the snail eaten log and half of the cache container. Searched for the other half but it was for naught. This will need a replacement RS. TFTC!! See photo
Out with jomingara this was the first "caching hot spot" as rated by jomingara. A cache worthy location for sure. Luckily a quick find was made so we could be on our way!
I agree, this was an interesting look at the old and the new. A good cache to start the day after we made the trek out to get lunch at Cabramatta. TFTC!
Having the offer of a lift south meant I was able to get a few caches I normally wouldn't be able to get to. Being of 'a good height' made it easy to see and retrieve the container
All good with the cache.

Having spent so long on the river trying to find a cache I left going for this one until day light.
There is the occasional muggle going by, but once the cache is found it should be retrievable fairly quickly (especially if of the taller kind). TNLN
Just bringing through: B 2 B Travel ingot (that loves bridges) and the trackable shirts.

Mum, sister and me look for second caches for today. I found so quick, easy it is tricky hide.
Spotted this and waved it away as I first thought it was part of the structure. Once I read a few logs then changed my tactics and looked for something odd. Came back to the obvious- DOH. I don't know why I didn't check this. Thanks RS
we looked and looked but couldn't find it! being new to the world of geocaching, this was our first ever attempt - might have to start with something slightly easier! will definitely come back soon and give it another go
Just like the others, I spotted this one fairly quickly.
I just took a bit longer to actually get my hands on it!

I was last here 11 months ago when construction workers prevented my getting close to GZ. This time as my eyes adjusted from the bright sunlight I could see the cache in plain sight and with an extension to my arm retrieved it. Replacing it was interesting.
I had to come down to Cabramatta this morning for a quick site survey, might as well grab a cache in this neck of the woods before heading back to the office. This was nice and close and had plenty of parking available. A short walk down and the cache was quickly spotted. I am guessing the "new" is for the new freight line, still a bit surprising they haven't bothered to electrify it as a backup to the other lines. Thanks Rainbow Spirit.
Took my besties grace, Vince an teren on their first geocache !!!! And it was a night hunt! The cops rocked up and even signed it to officer Gus and officer law while the other 4 just watched!!! All of this followed us WINNing $1200 guessing the secret sound at start game shows last night at Richards on the park in Canley vale !!!!! WHAT A DAY!!! TFTF!!!!!!
Found myself at Condell Park because of Netball. Thought I would find the caches close by and it turned out to be another by Rainbow Spirit. I haven't done many of them. I looked and had to use a little imagination on the retrieval. TFTC.
Parked at the leagues club and walked here from the north. Had to dodge the muggles a bit but made a fairly quick find - was expecting it to be a lot more trickily camouflaged for some reason. TFTC!
My mate saw it from the car... Bastard !!
I hate him
-.-
I didn't even turn off the engine...

Found with FurFacesLL after playing four games of softball for the day.
A nice quick find and with the use of a tool from a workman muggle the container was in hand.

In Sydney to play in masters softball competition with hccatcher11415.
How convenient this one was right at the entrance to the softball grounds....thank you Rainbow Spirit.
After playing softball all day, we decided to collect on the way out. Found the hide but we didn't have all the right equipment to retrieve the container. As there was work being done close by we engaged the help of the muggle workman who assisted us by giving us the right implement to enable us to extract.

Night cache. 8pm. Thought this cache was done for upon arriving at GZ, given my satellite map clearly showed it within the construction area. Hunted around & all good! I think one passer by saw me jumping madly. Hah. Cheers!
As it turned out Sunday was a good day to attempt this one as I get the impression that durring the week the area would be a hive of activity with the construction work going on. Took us a while but eventually spotted. SL..TFTC

After my success with High or Low, I thought I'd try Old or New. I previously came past and kept driving as I couldn't work out a way in. Tonight I parked and walked up to GZ. I was actually looking for something completely different at GZ, before I realised what the name meant.
I did a little search here and there, had a muggle scared me as he walked past metres away, and then read some previous logs. This then gave me an idea and as I checked one place, I spied something very much like an RS hide and cache. I made a grab with caching tool #16 and had CIH soon after. Clever one! I SL and replaced in the same spot. Well done RS, another top cache.
Oh, and the construction going on nearby doesn't effect GZ or the cache, so Cache On! TFTC.

There is currently earthworks taking place with stopgo men and a builders fence around the GZ. In a week or two RS should check the site.
Canary insisted that he wanted me to try to one. Mmmm, another RS cache. I'd just done one that had me hanging like a Monkey. How bad could it be?
I got to GZ and realised where the cache must be, but I knew I needed a strategy to retrieve it, since Canary was offering no help. I found something nearby and soon the cache was in hand. Thanks for another one, RS.

Found with myfaceisburning at 2am in the morning in the pouring rain and mud. Was a very enjoyable find though!
Found it after a few searches. Completely overlooked it every time until we got desperate and paid close attention. Thanks RS!
Did not find it we literally have been back twice yesterday and today and it doesn't seem to be there. Doesn't help that this is our first time but we know the two structures very well. Needs updating/maintanence? Or is it still there and we just are not very good at this?
Did a quick lunchtime GC hunt with Lincolnrose - 1st stop was of course the nearby Maccas at Lansvale. The old vs new is very interesting indeed - great example of how construction methods have changed over the years. TFTC
Daylight got the better of me on this. In saying that i had been there for 20minutes It was very tempting to sneak around the fence to take a look from the top but i didnt. I looked everywhere i could think of from the ground. DNF for me, but i'll keep watch
FTF After finding 2 other FTF’s this morning on the way to work, I didn’t expect this one to still be unfound, so at lunch time heading towards the Shire I made a detour and sure enough upon reaching GZ I knew want the hint meant. So armed with my caching tool #4 I closely examined the possibilities until I found the cache. Now to retrieve – Sorry no help you will have to figure that out for yourself. There is no need to go past the fence as that is illegal and extremely dangerous. Thanks RS for showing an excellent example of old and new construction. The older style still has more character. There is also parking available near GZ! .

10pm. Driving past saw this on the iPad and thought well I got a FTF a few days ago and won at trivia tonight - so felt lucky even though it was a 3 star and a RS Cache.
Alas no - very interesting place to get to by torchlight. Searched high and high but where I wanted to go was fenced in and not sure if it was safe.
Will watch and return in daylight.
Thanks for the hunt
