Visited this area with goingplaces2 to gather some more caches to add to the tally. Good views from here. TFTC.
Today the outing with ilook4geo was focused on particular cache owners rather than the caches themselves. So we selected a couple of owners and added some of their caches to the list for the day. Thanks go to The Booos for this cache placement.
On our way back home to the coast with my son so we decided to stop for this cache and the view..
Thanks for the cache Boos as well as giving us a reason to stop and enjoy the scenery

Coordinates spot on after walking through some sinking grass levels . Indeed a great view from here . The people living across the road must enjoy it . Now I found #2 but yet to locate # 1 . TFTC Booos and bringing me here .
Fitzy_1965 & I headed to the Picton region today with a bunch of friends from Canberra for our Canberra Day long weekend invasion (the joys of living in NSW but working in ACT for me). All caches were signed as CDI23.
We had a fun day finding, trads, puzzles & multis and a few AL's for good measure. We ended up at dinner at a great Thai restaurant after the event in Picton itself.

With a long weekend in Canberra who can resist getting away! Joined a great bunch on friends to tackle a bit of the Picton area. The day included a big investment of time in an oldie (lots of fun) and then lots of caching in the region. A really delightful day trip with barb2e, Kittykatch, isopeda, albida33, fitzy_1965, Minniek, joolay, Smittengranny, contesta, EverestHigh and GLISS! Signed most of the caches as CDI - for Canberra Day Invasion. Thanks to all the cache owners for the fun!
Found on a trip to Picton and Penrith with a group of Canberra cachers. Signed as CDI23 (Canberra Day Invasion). Thanks for the hide The Booos

Quick find, but hairy approach.

On this Canberra Day holiday weekend a group of geofriends travelled north from Canberra and surrounds to grab as many caches as we could. This was one of them. Thanks to all COs for adding to our adventures. Log was signed as CDI23 - Canberra Day Invasion 23.
Beautiful views yes but not a fun place to search. Was meant to be the last of the day too. Oh well.
Back to The Dilly with frazeydaze to hunt down some of the COs mystery, multis and trads and to also try out the new TOTT.
While I marvelled at the view and listened to the bellbirds frazeydaze got down and dirty.
Thanks for placing this cache here Booos.

Drove by and had to do a U-turn to find a safe park.
Oldmorty and I then crossed the road and made our way to GZ.
The grass was so long we couldn’t see where we were stepping.
There were quite a few drops which made us feel uneasy. I was also hoping there weren’t any snakes around.
Cache found. Log signed. Photo taken.
Thanks to The Booos for the cache.

Today was the day for a bit of a “local” hide adventure, seeing as we had the opportunity with the impromptu public holiday, but making sure that the required protocols were carried out.
Been enjoying traveling around this area that I’ve not been in. I’m just a little disappointed that the weather was so awful, as I’m sure that the views from out here would be quite something! As some of the previous comments, access to the GZ does require a little care, and the very long grass made the search somewhat tricky and a bit wet. But persistence paid off and eventually discovered the hide. Struggled big time to try to open!
Great spot here, and I’ll have to return to take in the view when the weather is better!

Well concealed with top views. The grass is very, very long here and there is a little drop to the fence. Watch your step. Glad it wasn't snake season. TFTC
A quick find on a pleasant day's caching with Brewmaker. Definitely a nice view from this one

Perhaps the worst one to be looking for as it starts pouring down pretty view though!
Hard to park near. Quick to spot however nearly left sooner as it started raining down on us. Walking back to the car It caught the corner of my eye.
I found this one on an adventure with MizCupcake on the 27/6/2020. We initialed MC and ASR as I didn't have an account but now updating. This one is a little dangerous as the land is starting to slip and very long grass. I wouldn't bring kids on this find. TFTC!
Found with ASR, she made the find this time. It was a bit treacherous since we didn't have appropriate footwear thanks for bringing us to this fabulous view! Initialled MC and ASR. Tftc!
I needed to get out of the house last week so I wouldn't go nuts and needed some peace and quiet... Out to the west!
Beautiful views again.
Beautiful views again.
Wonderful view, bellbirds belling...and a cache to bring me here, it doesn't get much better. TFTC
Yep awesome view, soundtrack too (bellbirds). Bit scary with the traffic flying past at 100km/h - someone decided to overtake in the section we were parked in. Lucky there was a lovely view to calm us down.
Found with nissan 65 on a day trip caching. Beautiful day off work. Thankyou for the cache
Out with the crew after an event in Picton... even though it was hot we couldn't resist a few caches while in the area. TFTC

Out and about with Happy Uke again today trying to grab some nogood caches hiding in and around Picton. And we were not disapointed!
Thanks

Since the wind had finally died down and the glorious sun was shining, a caching raid of The Oaks area was organised. Great caches and fantastic company. Finalf29 and I ended up finding twenty in the afternoon.
This was our third for the arvo. Great view. That is an interesting dam must have been a quarry once. Found again with the lovely sound of more bellbirds. Thanks

Follow the geo-trail. The grass is deep now. Imagine it in summer! Quick find. TFTC The Booos.
#4192 (7 of 8 today)
My caching these last few days really hasn't been a lot of fun. My DNFs have outnumbered my finds, I've sliced myself on broken glass... Not fun.
So decided to head south today where hopefully I can make a few finds without too much angst. Left a lot later than I wanted - fun with Geokid #2 came first. So decided on a loop around Oakdale and The Oaks.
In the end I had eight finds in as many attempts, including two previous DNFs. All quick finds - much better day!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
What a great spot. Parked over the road (wonder what the residents think) and made my way through thick grass to GZ. Checked the wrong spot first but quickly spotted the container. Completed signing duties and replaced.
Finally had to tear myself away for one last find...

Quick park and grab. Perfect time on this beautiful winter day! The only muggles around were the cows. TFTC
Gotcha ! On my caching expedition this month I added this one to my list of finds. TFTH. Catching up on my logs for the month. Supa dupa quick find.
Fourth visit to this one and it has two of my biggest fears...long grass and neighbours. The obvious geotrail was being guarded by nettles today, but I managed to avoid them. TFTC.
Thank you for the cache. Log signed and cache replaced. *OCW Throsbyonchurch*.
Found it . -- 1:20 PM -- SL TNLN TFTH. Thanks for bringing us here.
Cache in good condition. Not having cached much recently I decided to make a day of this gorgeous warm weather and head out caching. Found easily enough.

Found with Lucky/Little Cricket, Little Cricket found this one while I found Black Berry scratches. TFTC
I don't know how we missed this one on the map previously, I overlooked it, so we set out to find it while out caching today, little cricket made the find. TFTC
Out with WW today. Pulled up across the road and wandered over. A bit nervous about the long grass and the possibility of slitheries. Walked a bit closer and retrieved and signed log with the help of WW. Beautiful view - took the time to take a photo then headed on. TFTC
My first find for 2016!
An easy find without too many cars going past while I was there.

So, deceptive grass nearby was to be the achilles to StumbleTrip's ankle today. Not a pleasant feeling and so very unwilling to take off shoe to assess damage. Who would have thought grass to be so treacherous? Oh wait, I'm StumbleTrip... TFTC. Awesome dam nearby.
Depth to solid ground misleading in the long grass with StumbleTrip living up to her name and twisting her ankle, which left me to complete find and logging duties. I also painfully “found” the holes as well as thistles to suffer for this cache which meant we weren’t as impressed with the location or view as we could have been.
Gorgeous view on a stunning spring evening, both the scenic vista & the view we had of geodads plumbers crack as he retrieved the cache, lol. tftc The Booos xo

Found this with joshwa27 and was fairly straight forward. Really nice area and hide. Thanks 4 the bringing us here. Tftc .
At the moment I'm on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. Most of the first two years I'll spend in Australia and I'm trying to solve my 365 days of caching challenge during this trip. The chance of having a moving home zone should be taken, as it will make the challenge so much easier.
This one was a quick and easy find. The view is really amazing!

What a spectacular view. Would love to see it at sunrise. We were very envious of the house across the road. What an amazing place to live. Quick find - cache in great condition with a nice new log. Great spot for a cache.. shame about the dead wombat at the side of the road

Left Canberra at 0630 and at -5 Degrees ! Drove to Colo Vale where we started our caching. Parked nearby and SDL/ZZ7 soon had this one in hand. Signed, returned, and we were off to the next one.
Thanks The Booos !!

Fantastic view, I love these ones that give an excuse to stop where you normally can't. Just a pity the tube was missing.
Hi Did this Cache today New run of barbed wire on fence found clip for Bison tube only. TFTC
Couldnt see anything here today. Great view but a busy road and a while lot of nothing on this visit will return!!
I saw nothing but a beautiful view. Oh well, I have to come back this way sometime for the other DNF's. Might as well have a decent amount. The road home...Oh, that's a Pat Metheny song.
Visiting a nearby resident, and was slightly early, just enough time to find a cache - this one was easily spotted from the urban assault vehicle, once I stopped admiring the view. I had to perform a U-turn to park, then struggle to find a spot on the log - I signed along an edge where the ink had run and faded. thanks Booo'sDad for the cache.
