I had a DNF then a Found log in my drafts and now I see this has been archived, so I’m not 100% sure about this log as it was 4 months ago now - but I do recall searching high and low and I’m pretty confident that I did find a container at GZ after some time. TFTC and the sneaky WP too.
I spent quite a bit of time scratching around what I believed to be GZ but no luck for me today. I really did enjoy the walk out here though!
Thanks Poiter.h & Jimmymaff & maintained by greynomands for being part of our geocaching fun.

D walked and walked, and did 9,000 steps, while M sat in the GeoPrado with the engine running to keep warm, read the Sunday paper and start the big crossword. At GZ, D searched and searched, consulted the hint, searched some more, and even phoned the CO to confirm the approach. A long walk on a cold morning for a DNF. [xx(]
Our thanks anyway to Poiter.h.

In Lakes Entrance for a few days. It was on our way into town this morning that we took a drive and decicded to take a look for this. After cleaning up a few of the nearby finds along the way, we then proceeded to do this interesting little multi enjoy the area. It had me scratching my head for a bit but eventually made the find, a little confused from last log, as I didn't need long arms to make the find.
Thanks Poiter.h for placing the cache for us to find and some more interesting history from around the area.

We figured this one out the other day and decided to get while look at others in the area of the GZ.
After a long paddle from Barrier Landing including getting surrounded by very inquisitive dolphins half way across the entrance (mixed feelings of scared and absolutely amazed) I found my way to GZ, cache found. Great old girl with a ton (Ha Ha) of history.

The investigation continued this morning
The Chiko Rolls were not helping (belch)
I thought me detective work last night,
while eating pizza,
might have paid off !!
Nup !!
Another dead end !!
So back at the scene of the cache hiding crime this morning,
I had a few more ideas to investigate
(belch)
If them rocks know where the cache is,
they ain't talking
Bugger !!

The intelligence found at the first waypoint was thin on the ground
If only I had looked at the clues closer
If only I had brought doughnuts
(fart)
I had the right idea here,
just the wrong distance
I'll be back after a Chiko Roll or three for breakfast tomorrow
(burp)

Cache site was good
History lesson was good

For me it was rather a mystery than a multicache with a clear description what to find at waypoint 1.
What is the actual idea of this? I don't know. Maybe something is missing?
But after reading the previous logs and looking at the uploaded pictures, I got an idea what to do now. A little bit internet research and a visit at ---beep--- helped me to find the right way.
I realized that I was already close yesterday evening.
Finally I could find the cache and log it.
If the Waypoint 1 would be at ---beep--- it would give a chance to find it whithout reading other logs. The potential to leave a fp here would them be higher!
Thanks for hiding...

Visited here sometime ago and had the answers, while Team Crackers and team were setting up for the New Years fireworks show, I headed off to grab a few caches. Arriving at GZ final, the cache was soon located and retrieved using an arm extension device. Thanks Poiter.h, jimmymaff and the greynomads for placing and maintaining this cache.
It was a quick afternoon trip down to Lakes but had an enjoyable walk to grab this cache and another in the vicinity. After a bit of a search (GPS had me initially looking in the wrong direction) and a confirming text from a geo-friend of what we were looking for we spotted the cache. It still took looking around to find an appropriate tool to get my hand on the cache before I was able to retrieve and sign the log.
Thanks Poiter.h a great hide and we were also rewarded with sightings of both dolphins and some seals.

Out with my Geo Sis on a sunday arvo. I've always know this was there, but I have never seen it.. TFTC
We wondered why there was no caches from the footbridge out to the Entrance, so after getting the coordinates from a couple of multi's and doing the Lakes Entrance Suduku's, we found out there was plenty! This was one we had been meaning to do for some time and finally got the chance on an extra long "long weekend". TNLN TFTC
After a morning at Bairnsadle Market and a little bit of caching there, we came home for lunch then set off to find this cache. We were very appreciative of Vorbis2's note below so we were prepared.
We walked along the beach and eventually around to GZ after seeing some Dolphins? and Seals in the Entrance which was very cool!!
At GZ it took a bit of searching, even with the clue and we had to use the implement left by the previous finder.
TFTC poiter.h, jimmymaff & greynomads, we had never been this far along before! We continued the loop and enjoyed looking at the historical cottages as well - GJMMelb

Lovely day for a walk
We found a long stick to help with this one
Cache in good condition.

We got to WP1 and there was a pair of fisherpeople. They looked at us, we looked at them. If you stand around long enough its amazing how people begin to ignore you. There must be a study on something like that. I had a look for the coords first, and found nothing. Confused, the Moose decided to have a look, and saw what I had clearly missed the first time. After a fantastic walk in the sun, we got to GZ and then were stumped. Looked up and down, and thought we made sense of the hint, but no luck. Eventually after reading some old logs the Moose came up with the hide. What a great piece of history. Thanks for bringing us here and all your caches, we have had a great exploration of LE.
Anyone looking to do multiple finds around lakes entrance would benefit from looking at this one, the Anzacs and sudokus before attempting to find GZs. It's a long difficult walk to do multiple times with small children
Today we had the time to make the long walk and found the cache.
We still don't understand the indication found at listed multi-cache-coordinates and also don't understand the first half of the hint. Internet was our help.

On the multi-cache-position we found no clear indication were to go. Only via internet we found out were the target has to be found. But we had not enough time to make the long walk to the cache.

Our second hike to the area. But it was a piece of history we missed the first time. Thanks for bringing us back TFTC.
Yesterday we walked from the nearest caravan park to the jetty and picked up another cache on the way. On the return we found some necessary info to complete the task. Walking shoes on again today and off we went to GZ. What a surprise (at 1255 hrs) as I remember the old hulk rotting away near the sandblasting jetty for what seemed like an eternity. This cache put all of the snippets I had about the barge together to make the full story. We loved this cache, its story and the extra history on the way. Fantastic - what we love about geocaching. T: nothing L: ladybug Thanks team for a wonderful cache - a favourite.
Our last adventure for the day. Funny as we were here yesterday with the Remember ANZAC cache which was near by. Thanks for the history lesson. TNLN
Picked up the information at WP1 this morning after originally trying to come at it from a foolhardy direction, and then proceeded off to GZ after lunch.
Enjoyed the walk to date and will continue on.
Thanks for the cache and the history.
A lovely day for it.

# 5526 Found on a great long leisurely walk along the track.
Nice and quiet and only spotted 1 muggle couple all the way.
I arrived at the coords and had lots of places to search.
After a short search I managed to locate it safely tucked away in its hiding spot.
TN LN SL Thanks for the cache and the great series Poiter.h,

Did the first part of this on Thursday. Took about 10 minutes to locate and we were pleased to be able to read pastogs. A great cache. TFTC
Great walk today with geodogs. Thanks to this multi we got to see two great spots. lots of interesting history. TFTC
On day thirteen of our excursion out of Tasmania touring from Melbourne to Canberra and return via Gippsland we toured around Lakes Entrance, staying in the seaside town for two nights. We attempted many of the caches we previously had to leave as we travelled north to Canberra. After a wild night of wind and rain, it was a pleasant day – fine and cool. We spent the morning walking between caches and then used our car for the afternoon cache hunts.
We had completed the first stage of this multi as we travelled north but, given the location of GZ, we had to defer looking for the cache until our return trip. Today we headed across the Lakes Entrance Footbridge to look for a number of caches, including this one. When we got to GZ we found a magnificent old ship which had seen much better days. But even in it's deteriorating state, it was a very striking remnant of local maritime history. It took about five minutes to locate the cache and then either very long arms or a tool to retrieve - the latter in this instance. Thanks for an interesting multi Poiter.h and for the cache.

7th find of the day, and 3317th total find at 13:30
The dificulty seemed to be more than three stars today. After completing a comprehensive search we resorted to phoning a friend.
The cahe was eventually located, but it was waaaaay out of arms reach, and we had to resort to using a long stick as a retrieval tool.
It is nice to see a cache big enough to drop off one of our signature screwdrivers.
Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Thanks Poiter.h for the cache

YEAH - Finally found it at 4.06pm on January 8th, 2012 while out walking with a couple of Geobuddies.
Thanks Poiter.h and Jimmymaff for the efforts that have gone into this multi-cache. Through solving the cache puzzles, I've had the chance to see several lovely places around Lakes. The walk to GZ was alot of fun with great scenery along the way. My fingers are crossed that the Barge, with its history, is not forgotten.
Thanks again for this cache. Took: nothing Left: nothing

Lovely day for a walk, sun shining and prolific birdlife. A phonecall to Poiter.h to ensure we were on the right track, and quite a detailed search to find the cache. We also watched the SEAMEC boat practising something, not quite sure what, at the nearby jetty. Thanks for the TB, will launch it soon.
