It was karma I feel that this cache popped up on my radar after completing my mission relating to this CO's lost geocoin. But after a serious amount of 'tasting', and not a lot of 'feeding' - I needed some 'resting'. I wanted a little walk to stretch the legs before driving anywhere, and here was perfect. Finding the cache no issues at all on a quiet whatever day of the week this is (holiday-mode ... I have little idea). Cache in perfect condition (wow - what a magnet), signed and returned as found.
Thanks mvyrmnd for entertaining me at this location.

Took us a little while...I was off smelling the roses.
Just realised this cache is archived...but we found it easily enough, it's there and I saw Mr Coffee's sig on the log sheet...just think 3rd rail high and bushy

In the area doing lots of the Gourmet series. This one perplexed us, because the gps wanted us to go onto the property. We felt a bit exposed so we declared a dnf. Thanks.
Lovely building and gardens. The cache was a quick find. Found with Indianagleeson and shellumbus. Tftc.
Nice spot for a little rest!!
Lazy day so thought we would spend it with the geomates! Tftc with indianagleeson red leader & fox 2

There were people all over the place today, cars everywhere and people walking up and down the road. You could here music just south of GZ so something was on for Easter. Found and logged and all in good condition ... TFTC
I had decided to spend a few nights in Tumbarumba with some friends. The plan was to do some day rides around the area. We had a wonderful time, and picked up some caches during our travels. This was one of them. tftc.
Whilst geoson and I were just down the road at Brown Brothers, mum and geodaughter discovered this one. Good teamwork. TFTC.
This find makes the trifecta for the day and all within walking distance of where we are staying. Well hidden, TFTC
On our way home again, Triciac2 and I, from the Melbourne Mega.
We want to pick up a few more caches, but they need to be reasonable easy ones along the road side as we've had quite a work-out the past few days.
Our second day with Muggle Friend who wants to come along to search for caches. She's hooked!
The three of us had a thorough look, but couldn't find this cache. Even the description, other logs and pictures couldn't help us with this one. Must have been very good camo....

Finally catching up on some logging.. On a Melbourne cup weekend camping trip to Bright, we popped out to see the iconic Browns Brothers winery :)
This was a quick find today as we were passing

Pulled up and thought we'd try for it again. Finally got the log signed and on our way. TFTC
Previous logs alluded to a tricky find, probably because the coords were slightly off. Just need to get in the zone.
We were happy to have a cache so close to our luxury escape accommodation so have added a picture from the balcony which also looks to the boundary where GZ is.

TFTC. Finally found it. A frosty Saturday morning saw me up early. A quick walk up the road and a search before SWMBO wakes up.
I had searched here a few times and this was becoming a nemesis. Finally got this monkey off my back.

Up visiting Milawa for a couple of days to tour amongst the great wineries, food and other sights with muggle wife, so only had a few spare minutes to look for some caches. This one was hidden right where we were staying so was the first one to look for and I even managed to convince my wife to help me. After a bit of poking around we finally spotted it. Thanks for the cache mvyrmnd.
This one caused a bit of consternation, although I wasn't really looking all that well, I was trying to decide what kind of style they were going for with their accommodation. The Moose found the cache. Thanks for the hide.
Found after my smart phone settled. Was an easy find.

Somewhat tricky as GPS kept changing its mind but cheeky hide. Contactpete was eager to find after our trip to Brown Brothers (not his thing - asked after I'd been wine tasting lol).
Can see our target just down the road as we were walking towards the winery for coffee would you believe.
Any I found this but I think it's a bit of private property that maybe should not have a cache.

Staying in Wangaratta for a few days, to cache around the area and do some sightseeing.
Had to abandon the search due to muggle activity, but found it quickly after they left.
Many thanks for placing this cache, mvyrmnd, for us and others to find.

The GPS was taking me to the fence line of private land, I was staying off the garden but peering in to see if I was in the right spot when a gardener came around the corner and busted me. Needless to say I ran off and couldn't go back with the gardener nearby and peering at me dubiously :/ once back in the car i could see the gardener talking to another gardener and both of them looking my way OOPS. upon reading a previous log I'm wondering if my GPS was leading me astray all part of geocaching thanks anyway
Found it! Milawa is a favourite stop on the way home from the High Country. This was a quick find after visiting the Cheese Factory and the Mustard shop. TFTC SL
Out & about hunting caches in the area & we figured we'd grab this one too, why not, it's Sunday morning hopefully not too many people around... Ahhh famous last words. I had a close encounter with a scratchy tree while grabbing this cache & keeping my eyes on the person walking around the area.
Cache in hand log book signed back into that darn scratchy tree again!
Thanks for this cache.

Relatively easy cache to find for an afternoon. Introduced a new geocacher to the adventure after a few of his own failed attempts.
It wasn't much rest hunting for this one. My GPS had me looking extensively in an area close by - and it wasn't there. I widened the search a fraction and was relieved to locate it. TFTC
Third time lucky for this visitor, I noticed that the Photinia hedge has been pruned substantially and the area looks much neater, without the blossom on the hedge there was no problem with bees in the vicinity either.
I am glad to finally remove this one from my Watch List as I was getting mixed messages - finds interspersed with DNF's
Finally I can say thanks for placing this cache here

Found on the way home. I had previously looked for this one with a local cacher to no avail but today it was not such a hard find!
No, too good for me today. Some people say easy, some say hard...guess I have to go with the later on this atempt. Will be back in area one day I'm sure, so will try again.
Thanks anyways....

Find #4104
After spending the weekend on and around Mount Bogong, it was time to head home. But, not before a stop in at Milawa for a coffee and a cache. I had attempted this one before with no luck, but after trying a few spots this time, cache was quickly found.
Cache is in perfect condition with fairly new log book.
I think the Maintenance flag can be removed from this cache.
Thanks to mvyrmnd for placing this cache. TNLN

After a tasting and something to eat at Brown Brothers, three of our party sat and waited for the rest to finish. My newly geo-baptised friends asked if there was a cache nearby and I said that there was one only 170 metres away...so off we went. Strangely enough, we almost booked to stay here last night! Looked at some photos and knew where it must be, but it took us a while. Happily, an excited friend made her first find and she handed the cache to me for signing. Thanks for this one, mvyrmd.
Had a good look around and even extended the search but with people sitting nearby thought it was time to move on. Be back another tie.
At last after 3 goes at this one! Helped by a major spoiler photo from an earlier finder - CO may consider asking for its removal (though it is a D1.5 I guess.) TFTC
Wow, big deal! The log is wet, it is gross! So what do you do about it? Right complain to CO and do nothing else. Nobody carrying a tea towel to dry the container and a new logsheet? Of course not! When do people realise this game is for everybody and there is no punishment on some maintenance to keep the game alive.
We we made the effort, dried the container, new logbook and even a zip-lock bag. Costs probably 30 cts, time 2 minutes. What a big deal he? Oh yeah, we found the cache this time without any problems, a couple of months ago we had a DNF. Thanks CO for the cache and the beautiful location.

As today was our last day in Wangaratta for a while we had to brave the weather whatever it had to offer. At first we even had difficulty identifying the location of the roses! The GPS'r wanted us to look in some very unlikely places, so we widened the search, only to encounter a kind local asking was everything OK? Rather than attract any more attention we opted for the PAF lifeline - to find of course we had been SO close! This little guy was clinging on very firmly around 9m north of where the satellites put our GZ today.
NOTE TO CO: The log is saturated and almost impossible to write on.
TNLN .. . . . SL . . Thanks to mvyrmnd for the hunt.

This cache appears to be in need of owner attention. It needs to be temporarily disabled by the owner until they have an opportunity to check on the cache and take whatever action is necessary.

Suscoe's 17th find of 42 caches for today on a terrific day out and about in the Wangaratta area.
After a few days of wet weather, today was pretty dry and quite pleasant even though it was cold.
We saw a broad range of caches and enjoyed the trip through the countryside and the towns.
Thanks to mvyrmnd for placing this cache here, it kept us going for a while but eventually the little blighter was spotted.
The log is very wet.

One of the hardest finds for the day. Log book is wet. Definitely north of GZ.

I joined in for a trip down South to find some caches in the area with J+J.au and Wilbert67. We had a lot of fun sightseeing, bike riding and most thankful for the quality of the caches in the area. Some showed us interesting historic locations while others presented us with a tricky hide all adding to the adventure we all enjoyed. A trip to remember with the trails most recommended. SL..TFTC
our party of 3 were all over this and soon found what we came for. easy once you find it. TFTC
I was driving through towne again today, thanks to not reading the map properly
From Myrtleford I was supposed to be headed for Lake Buffalo, ah well, I got to try and find the 3 Milawa caches that I scored DNF's on, a few days ago.
I parked the geomobile nearby, and wandered over to smell the roses again
There was a five minute wait before the search could begin, thanks to the tour bus loading passengers in the carpark.
Once it had left, I wandered into GZ again.
I had read previous logs and had a good idea of what and where I should be looking.
It still took a few minutes to finally spy the little blighter !!
How did I miss that last visit ?
I eventually managed to loosen the caches grip and had no trouble signing the logbook and rehiding the cache

I don't know what you have done with this one mvyrmnd,
But in half an hour of poking around I never saw a damn trace of a cache

I'm in Milawa today for a friends wedding. It just so happens we parked our car right next to this cache. I had a quick peek before the ceremony but couldn't spot anything. While waiting around for the reception I decided to go have a better look. This time I found it hidden away nicely. All in good condition

Spent quite a while trying to find this one. Gz was in the middle of a driveway and the obvious spots seemed to be sealed shut. We spent most of our time looking above head height, could this be why we didn't find it?
Pretty sure we know where it is but impossible to get it retrieved from the hiding place as "the door" to it seems to be jammed.
1/02/2014 14:29 Find #550
20th of 23 found today with Sappy13 and Smart Sassy Siren.
We are having our second honeymoon to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, though really it is our 3rd honeymoon because we had one that involved a lot of flying visits to Brisbane, Healsville and Warnambool after we got married this time last year ( sort of a practice honeymoon) and then we went on the real honeymoon last November (2013) - cruising on the Danube River and of course caching.
For our 1st Anniversary we decided a visit to Pinnacle Valley Resort would serve as a suitable base location for some local caching, particularly today back up to Brown Brothers at Milawa and to visit Glenrowan for some Ned Kelly historic locations.
When we started caching this morning it was 32C, and by the time we were done it had topped 43C.
After a lunch break at Brown Brothers Winery, we approached the GZ, after reading previous logs, realised we might have been about a metre out, so extended the search slightly and so had the cache in hand TFTC SL

Found by Facitman and Mrs Facit with Rhinogeo at 11:35
Our third cache of the day and while Mrs Facit and RhinoMother enjoyed the air conditioning in the car Rhinogeo and I attempted the cache. We worked our way along from our measured GZ until I spotted the cache and after some muscle I had it in hand.
Rhinogeo completed the logging before we replaced it and continued our travels.
Thanks mvyrmnd

Found at 5:51 PM GAFF4 in the company of maccamob & Team Crackers. Co-ords could be a bit out and the cache appears to be on private property which made it tricky for maccamob to return the cache unnoticed. There was a massive "clunking" sound when he did which raised the alarm from a nearby muggle [:o)]
Thanks mvyrmnd.
Thanks mvyrmnd.
Found by Mary & David at 1800. As the "Heroes or Villains" gang were camped nearby, we couldn't resist the opportunity to drive here again and hopefully redress our previous DNF. This time we had a hintette to call on, but it still took a few minutes to spot the well hidden cache a few metres north from where we had searched last time. This appears to be a fairly expensive resort, judging by the makes and models of expensive cars that arrived occasionally. Replacing the cache brought its own minor problem, as it proved impossible to do so quietly. Even so, the locals were merely puzzled by the source of the noise, and quickly returned to their resting positions. Our thanks to mvyrmnd.

We were heading to camp at the Oxley reserve when we spotted Highrod coming the other way, a quick chat and we were soon off in their car to grab a few local caches. We have been to this one twice on previous visits but were not able to search properly because of muggles. Today was different and after a few minutes Highrod called got it and we added our names to the log.
We can now see why we missed it on our previous quick looks.
Our thanks to mvyrmnd for the cache.

This cache took a while to track down. A combination of an excellent hide and the cache being about 7m from where our GPS thought GZ should be located resulted in a 10 minute search. Luckily muggles were few in number today. We found it hard to extract the container from it's hide - very strong fingers were needed. The cache and it's contents were in good condition. TFTC mvyrmnd.
Another year, another amazing Jazz Festival, another shopping-day at the nearby produce suppliers, another attempt at finding this one and yet another failure. We'll be back again next year (armed perhaps, with a clue).
After a sensational steak sandwich at the Milawa Cheese Factory, we got on the bike to ride it off!! Along the 27km trek to Wangaratta we collected 20 caches.
This was #6 for the day, took a bit of effort this one, but finally made the find by widening the search of gz. A wedding was being set up at the motel grounds so had to use a bit of stealth.
