I went back to this cache to check if it was still here. A friend had three attempts which resulted in DNF so unless it has been moved further away from where I have found it previously and the hint, it is definately MIA.Notice it has also been changed from a traditional, which is dissapointing.
Getting Dark and there are muggles near so I will come back another day to find it ?
I was Glads I took a walk down here, and found a cache. Cheers LTook Friday off for travel as Im heading up into Taranaki for a couple of days out New Plymouth way. The last few times Ive visited Ive been time poor and have done Bulls- NP-Bulls in an extended driving day and been dead beat when I got back. This time I gave somewhere to stay so can enjoy my journey there, my time there, and the trip back. Also less pressure when searching and the Autumn weather is being kind too. Redeemed a couple of DNFs created a few more and had a nice time. Good to complete some Ad Lab series too and the Taranaki region COs are thanked for their hides and maintenance.
Thank you - discovered a lovely walkway - and on the way back realised what the hint meant lovely!
My first Geocache today, my first Geocache in Hawera. A couple more days staying nearby will make a dent in the population of Geocache and turn the town into happy faces.
New Plymouth to Whanganui today and grabbed a few caches on the way. We decided to take a break from driving and had lunch here in HaweraParked nearby and took a short stroll to GZ. GPSr quite jumpy here and several places were searched. Two in particular that fitted the hint and nothing found, though one had a cache like plastic container sitting there - it did make us wonder if the last three finders found that and thought it was the cache so logged finds - might be worth the CO checking But a DNF from us Tim and Viv - ddm
Think we found the hiding spot but just found rubbish a shame on a pretty walkway. Happy new year!
Eventually found it after a bit of going round in circles finding a place that fit the clue. Would never have known about this walkway if not for this cache. Thanks for placing
It was hard to find so we gave up. But then later was walkkng past ans found it by accident
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)…
Auckland Anniversary: We needed fair weather to smash out our big caching plans. We were hopeful that Taranaki would turn on some sunshine today and it did. In spite of one heavy downpour in the afternoon and the threat of thunder, we managed to stay dry and in the game.
Hawera: We hesitated to begin with, but realised that the public walkway skirted around the private property. This was a bit tricky to find outright, so we relied on the hint. A quick find after that. Thanks 2 Bulbars. TFTC.

20 January 2023 16:47 TFTC 2 Bulbars for placing this cache, number 12259 for me.
The hint made sense when I got to GZ. Found while on a walk while the EV recharged.

Infoferret gladly discovered the right hiding spot for this one. Thanks 2 Bulbars!
Looked for this cache after completing a couple of nearby Ad Labs. Climbed up into the garden which I wasn’t particularly comfortable about doing, but couldn’t find anything. Back on the pathway I spotted an empty Sistema container in the open and nearby plastic bag, but with no logsheet. Took a photo and put them back behind a tree. Unfortunately I didn’t have any paper on me to act as an interim logsheet. Checked with the C.O. who confirmed it would be okay to log this as a find. #5772. TFTC.
Great creative geocache discovers so many different things in this area and had a great time
After eating lunch in a near by park I walked to this cache where GZ ticked down very quick and then I made the find in the third place I looked.
T F T C 2 Bulbars.
I was in no great rush on today's journey so looked for a few caches I could do along the way. I settled on the Inglewood Adventure Lab Cache and the caches it passed and then a couple of caches in Hawera as a lunch stop. In the end I got seven Adventure Lab Cache stages and five physical caches with another DNF'ed.

Not exactly asper hint but near enough. Just ambling around picking up caches. Nice to be dry after some wild days.
TeamBOP are together again for the long weekend. Philip.Perry, McJandals,NZFlossy and myself are heading to New Plymouth and surrounding areas caching.
Team BOP is back on the road this time heading to Taranaki with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else in between
Our current incarnation includes Davidson Clan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed the cache logs as ‘Team BOP’ to save time and log space. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey as most caches have been found quickly & without fuss thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placements.
I appreciate there’s a stigma attached to cut’n’paste logs like these so I’ll try to provide cache specific notes retrospectively when I get home. We do genuinely respect the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles, but with a numbers mission like this - the hides start to blur together unfortunately. So Cheers COs, TFTC and most importantly - thanks for bringing us here

On a weekend trip to Taranaki with some of Team BOP. Always lots of fun on these trips targeting cache trails, solved puzzles and high favourites. Thanks to all the cache owners TFTC
A plan was hatched recently to hit the Naki area this long weekend. Nice to get away and grab a lot of our solved puzzles and ALs plus others along the way. Signed logs Team BoP to save room on log sheets.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

What a mission to get the cache! Had fallen beyond arms length and nasty barb wire fence cutting our arms. But a bit of clambering I got it! Woot. Tftc
Out at Hawera to drop off a hedgehog that I looked after at my house in New Plymouth. Decided to find some caches while I’m out here. Very good clue. #209. TFTC
#12,034. A pleasant short walk in from Gladstone Street in Hawera. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Found! This one was way harder than expected. Not quite where I thought it would be.
nice little stroll down the path with demonqueen and the grandkids for this one,hot day
Visiting Hawera for the weekend. Out for an early morning walk and enjoying the wonderful parks. Great hint item. Favourite from us.
This entrance was unusual looking like a private driveway. This one remained elusive at GZ. With good hints to locate its hidey hole we arranged a replacement here. Cheers. lovely bit of bush to walk through.
Day 4- Tuesday 17 December. Hawera district today.
Running around the Hawera district today in Toby, while Zara rests up. Checked Manawapou viaduct and Nowells Lakes.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Alas the cache was missing. But thanks to an excellent hint we knew exactly where it should be, so put in a replacment. Also discovered that the reserve had not been named on the maps, fixed that too. Wonderful bush here.
Day four of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is Hawera - it's going to be a slow trip!!
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!
***[======== NZ Mega 2020 ========](http://nzmega.com)***
Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

Spent a bit of time wandering trying to find this one and eventually asked one of the property owners who was doing some gardening if he could help. Once he showed us it all made sense, very clever! TFTC
We parked up at 10ish and went for an evening stroll. A bit of time was spent spotting a large weta in the torch light before the cache was signed. Cool punga fence, don't get many of those in Canterbury!
Up here for an awesome weekend jaunt with Team Gators, TheWanglers and Karma Reprint to do a loop of the mountain in 48 hours grabbing as many caches as we could while having a good laugh. Logs signed as some derivative of (KT)^2
Cheers 2 Bulbars for the cache

A plan was hatched for a few of us to head to America for a Mad Mission. With life getting a bit crazy a downsized trip was organised as I had sorted childcare for the cachelets. The big America trip is now set for next year. We asked a member of our crew if we could go to Nelson, Dunedin, Auckland, Wellington, Hastings the answer all came back "I don't have many to find there". We left it to that member to suggest an area. He came up with New Plymouth and a loop around the mountain. That's a go from the rest of us. We sorted puzzles, gpxs, motels and a car and hit the ground running. The forecast was doom, gloom, rain, hail and lightning. Oh well, sounds exciting. We had very little of any of the weather that affected our caching and found we had all overpacked (thank God!).
Day 1: We grabbed the car and started caching at 2pm and made it to Hawera after 8pm settled into our accommodation and had a bit to eat and hit the town before calling it quits for the day.
It did look like a driveway. Would be great to visit in the day.
Thanks for the cache 2 Bulbars.

Find 76 of 80 for today.
Find 76 of 224 for the trip.

A quick and easy find, might come back in the daytime, one day,to see what we missed. Cheers
Day one, New Plymouth airport to Hawera.
A long weekend cache raid to Taranaki. The weather didn't stop us doing anything, and we had fun times. Logs were signed with a combination of KT and 2 depending one which of did the signing. Thanks Kiwi Moose, Team Gaters and TheWanglers for a choice time.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

A planned geocaching trip to the USA was shelved (but is all go for this time next year!) so we came up with a weekends Plan B. Taranaki with TheWanglers, KarmaReprint and KiwiMoose - logs signed (TK)^2 or a variation of. A really fun trip with the forecast rain and thunder seemingly always in the distance but never hindering us. A really fun weekend.
Arrived in New Plymouth; grabbed the rental and hit the road running - aiming for Hawera....
Hawera finally arrived at...accommodation checked into & tea finally eaten. A bit of light drizzle - but keen bean us figure there is still a bit of time for a few more find and signs.
What a way cool spot - definitely a bit weird as you head up the drive (more so at night, with torches, and several blokes!) but the sign on the fence gave us confidence. Managed to make the find and sign. Coolness.

A nice little cache walk in a corner of Hawera that I would never otherwise visit. A pretty easy find after checking the hint. The log is damp bit still writeable. Thanks.

Nice walk along the path through the paddocks to get to this one. GPS was a bit bouncy under the tree cover but the hint was helpful to allow us to find the cache pretty quickly.
Nice hide. In good condition. Exchanged an item and returned to hiding place. Clever clues.
Up for the Mega for the week, headed up the coast for a couple of days on family stuff, but did get few caches in for the day. many thanks to the cache placer's - Bitsprayer
I have set myself a goal to get the requirements for the mystery cache The well-rounded cacher challenge (Manawatu) This requires me to get 25 badges 5 of which need to be gemstone badges. So each time I go out caching weather it is by myself or with fellow cacher I will try to get a least one cache that will get me closer to my goal
Back again in the Hawera are collecting caches between the rain and trying to stay dry, luckily each time that I was out of the car looking for a cache there was shelter nearby or if I was driving to the next cache and it started to rain I would move on to the next cache hoping by the time I got there it had stopped raining with the plan to come back a bit later.
This cache took way longer to find than it should have for some it was putting the cache about ten meters away from its location it could have been due tree cover and heavy rain cloud. After ignoring my GPS and expanding my search I spotted what the hint had described and soon had the caches in hand after signing the log I continued along the rest of the walkway head toward the cache at the other end a great little walkway but very muddy in places today.
Thanks for the cache

This took a few moments longer than it should have, if I had used my eyes properly! Nice hide. TFTC
