Out riding my bike around Hamilton, and picking up some caches along the way. Parked the bike up close, nice hide, cheers
Out and about in the Waikato with a few friends (Team SEAC) on a caching raid. After finishing "The eyes have it" series (the purpose for crossing the border! ), we decided to find a few other Waikato hides. This was one of them.
Being in such a busy spot, we had to pull up a bit further along and wander back to this one! Log signed as "SEAC 11" to save space (as there were 11 of us present today!)
TFTC, and sorry for the delay in logging!

TFTC, and sorry for the delay in logging!
A group consisting of LiverKiwi, Dragon Griffin, NZTravellers, HeMaLuDy, Purply, Darthcacher1, EIR-0T, Keylev, and NewlynFam headed down this way to collect as many of the Eyes have it series as possible after having a solving session at the end of last year....
We had managed to locate the Eyes have it series so continued on with local caches which took us to this cache
We signed in as 'SEAC 11' or 'SEAC 18' depending on whom signed the log, to save logbook space.
Cache was in good condition.
TFTC.

After completing the eyes have it series we stopped for lunch and then decided to find some other caches in the wider area.
Not much parking in this area so as we drove past I hopped out. Whilst the others found parking further afield I made my way to scout the area. Soon found where we needed to be and cache found.
Signed as Seac 11 to save time and space. Thanks for the cache.

Having just completed 'The Eyes Have It' series with Team SEAC we decided to carry on and pick up some more caches around Hamilton. All logs were signed as SEAC11 to save space Very busy area for parking so we had to park further a field but cache was quickly located at GZ, TFTC!
A group of Team SEAC cachers were in the area collecting the Eyes Have It series and decided to head to Hamilton to continue our caching expedition after lunch. We were thinking about where to park, so Keylev jumped out at the lights to begin the search while the rest of us parked nearby. Happy to have a find here. Signed as SEAC 11 to save space in the log.
Mr. Kiwi had just been out with some of the members of Team SEAC completing The Eyes Have It series in the Waikato. Since it was a beautiful day and still plenty of day left, it was decided to head on into Hamilton and plunder some of the caches there. There was an ongoing debate as to how many we should do, 125 or 150. We decided just to get as many as possible.
While we were all trying to find somewhere to park, keylev jumped out and started looking for the cache. By the time we got there, it was found. Log signed as SEAC 11 to save space.

I made the grab in a break in the traffic, then signed it away from prying eyes. TFTC.
Good test of stealth skills here as traffic on Wairere drive very busy at time of my visit as well as the odd pedestrian on the paths.
Great hide - many thanks

A gorgeous friend helped locate this wee sucker after me looking for soooooo long ....a young pair of eyes did the trick....thanks emms.....
We set out to do the Quick Brown Fox multi this afternoon and picked up a few nearby caches along the way. This was our first stop. Walked to GZ and quickly realised what the obvious spot would be. A bit of careful timing and the cache was retrieved while no cars were stationary nearby. Signed the log, then repeat the previous step. Thanks.
I a nice geo trail led me straight to this one. Easy to do at night & crouching down. Cache found in good condition. SL. TFTC!
Cycled up as close as possible - 7am on a sunday morning... Seems to be a good time, as not many cars were driving by. Had to have a think about how to get to where the CO had hidden other caches of this series... Due to the lack of cars I took the longer route. Found the cache, but when I went to extract it, I found I couldn't! luckily the lid easily opened as was able to pull out the log to sign it, and put it all away. Quickly ran back to my bike to get out of there.
#11186. While walking to the cache we witnessed a bizarre (domestic?) interaction, involving an angry young woman who seemed to be moving out of a flat, running up to a young guy (an ex?) and shaking him, some other guy stopping his car and getting involved (also yelling at the young guy) and a (long suffering?) mother (?) of the young woman watching from an upstairs balcony. All very odd, and who knows what was actually going on. Happily everything broke up without violence breaking out. Also happily, we walked to this cache and found it. TFTC.
This evening we had to go out to get some groceries and took the opportunity to find some caches in the (relative) coolness of this time of day. It was good to get some drive bys after our big effort this morning when we walked around Lake Rotoroa.
Some of the roads around here are so new that our maps don't know about them. This is one busy road, but luckily it wasn't too bad after 7pm when we visited. Still felt a bit vulnerable walking the last 20 or so metres to GZ. Luckily the cache didn't take long to find. Now better go and pay a visit to the supermarket. TFTC.

In the area working on some machinery issues. Had resolved 2 out of 3 issues and had popped out to do some caches... OPPS Did I say that I MEANT to say popped out to grab some lunch!!
Parked close to GZ and the road was streaming with cars. The road was deserted when I went to place the cache back. I couldn't believe it!

Searched for this last year no luck, this time light rain and timing traffic flow yeilded necessary result.

Such a busy road but sitting down grabbed and logged with All about that cache. Last one of an epic day out.
Found on a very pleasant evening walk after eating a little too much dinner with the family. Was a little unsure of the right approach to GZ, but once there, spotted the cache straight away. TFTC.
Out and about with the Rose Family - sent my pregnant daughter to fetch it lol! Lots of traffic even when it was nearly dark. Great place to hide it.
No Gap today (Auckland)... How will we manage? I have my nephews (10 and 6) along for company. It's going to be a 'stay close to the car' day, especially with the weather being so changeable...
The last of this series done and dusted... Unless there is more progress to come. Sent the boys up for this. I hoped they'd be less noticeable than myself. TFTC.

Due to exposure, did this cache real early Sun morn. Camoed in well with surroundings.
454 Yah success. Have visited a few times but traffic meant quick searches. Tonight very little traffic so time to do the find. Nice to tick it off
Managed to find my way to this one OK, might need to update my maps with all the progress happening in the Waikato of late.

well I have to give Cats&Dragons credit here, found on my third attempt. I knew what to look for and where but each time I never would have any luck. obviously the last finders put it in a better spot. TFTC and the nice little challenge
I can confirm that the cache is in great order and ready for the next cacher
Happy hunting

Parked in a nearby side road and quickly spotted it. Took a while to retrieve with all the traffic. TFTC
Got it this time. Just a few metres further than last search. Spotted by one my staff....still thinking of the explanation.....
had a brief look before being rained off. wasn't where I first looked though.
will be back with an open mind!

Lucky all muggles were concentrating on the road but sill uses a lot of stealth and speed to get this one

Third time lucky! Unfortunately we are out without our cache bag and the log book is full. Just managed to squeeze in. No sign of willbuild being here.
While in Hamilton for the hot air balloons, we found a shop with some containers with cache potential, explaining to the guy at the counter what geocaching was and that there were probably some caches placed nearby. We then called in to see a family member at their workplace just up the road, afterwards checking the Garmin for the nearest cache before heading to the Base. After locating the best parking spot to access this one we realised we were back where we started, a couple of minutes walk from that shop!
A quick find once we located GZ. Lots of cars going by, but we tried to time our actions when the lights were green and hoped the drivers were concentrating on where they were going. TFTC!

All the passing muggles were focused on the road, so the cache could be retrieved, with the help of Jambocachers toolkit. Thanks
Up to Hamilton to find 24 caches as a personal challenge. Like your history and starting to get your MO.
Nice tidy cache and the end one for the day. TFTC

Why oh why did I choose to do this on a Saturday afternoon. Made it sooo hard for myself. Eventually retrieved the cache and eventually replaced. Thanks very much Cats&Dragons
After about five dnf's in the area we finally managed to find one. Thank goodness for daylight saving. Our cache for the day to keep the streak going. Enjoying this series.

2.40pm. Didn't have any details with me but had seen the placement on the caching site so thought I would have a look seeing I was close. Got it at the second place I tried. Thought it may be similar to others in the progress series and that helped.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
11155... Quick find after grabbing a late lunch... or was it an early dinner? TFTC.
Another good place to visit to see parts of the huge developement in the area. Good easy cache find. SL TFTC
Found the nearest place we could, to park, & walked to GZ.
Very hard to be discreet in such an area, but did the best we could. TFTC

Sussed out where it was going to be as I approached - so it was a quick in and out - sign the log and then return it - quickly done in between cars TFTC
Nice easy find, even a few stares from passing motorists to add to the excitement
I have no idea how many of these we have found or how many more we have to go but there is plenty of progress going on around here. TFTC
Another progress one ticked off. Looking forward to walking along the new road tomorrow.
Quick find between passing muggles, progressing well as another off the list TFTC.

Parked around the corner and walked back to it. Quick find and after dark a lot easier to do. TFTC
I totally missed this hiding spot on first investigation, my wife on the other hand just walked up and grabbed it without even searching. [^]
Found it on my cycle to work in the dark. Was a good find in between passing muggles cars.
Nice hide. Think it had been put back slightly away from the marker -have put it back in the right place.
had left this one a few times as was busy but gave up and found this one tftc
Finally got around to doing this cache. Seems this area is busy regardless of the time.
Always feel so conspicuous for this type of cache but decided it was time to seize the day on this one: just walk up confidently, grab, sign & walk away. No-one hooted ... does that mean I passed?? TFTC
Was driving right by so had to finally stop and pick this one up. Plenty of muggles driving by but I just ignored them all like an ostrich would
MAny thanks

Well decided as it was now nice and late at night that instead of going straight to our sleeping spot for the night we would grab this cache as there would be less passing muggles. Tried the obvious spot before widening the search and find the cache a little distance from where the GPS had been pointing us. TFTC

On a weekend caching trip with SethRaven. No better way to spend a belated significant birthday. A chance to try our hand at a bit of night caching.
