Apologies for the late log, we have just come back from a 10 day holiday in SA and Western Vic and spent as much time with family as possible so no time for logging lolWe are on holidays in SA and have spent the past 4 days catching up with JMelbs family in Adelaide (and only found 2 caches during those 4 days!! Thats despite hunting for a few more lol) Today (30/9) we checked out of our accommodation with the intention of finding some local caches then some of the Wandering Heroes caches on the way to Karoondah, our destination for the night. We had lunch at the Train Park at Tailem Bend and and then set off to do the Wandering Hero Caches now! This was next. I would like to go to Tumby Bay/Port Lincoln area and do the caches there on one of our SA trips but we just need to convince GMelb! lol TFTC FLIPPER&CO - GJMMelb
Found it! After a morning walk in Monarto and intending to spend the day in that area, a FTF hunt led me further east past Tailem Bend. After successfully grabbing the FTFs, I continued on to the endless Wandering Heroes series. Quick find here. TFTC!
Out doing some Wandering Heroes and we came across this one for Wheres Wolly, a legend on the Eyre Peninsula. He is now going from strength to strength with Sharon on the team . Cheers mate
Out and about caching today. Great day out in the countryside and thanks to CO for the placement of the cache. Cache found and log signed. TFTC
Spending several days in Tailem Bend to collect the 'Straya' Challenges, Ice Cream geoart, some of the Wandering heroes and quite a few interesting caches. Thanks to the many CO's who placed and maintain these caches - it is appreciated.
Find # 14155I'm in the Adelaide area for the Great Leap Forward event. Not just for the days event, but making it a week long trip of caching n catching up with mates.Flying solo......Day 8. Homeward-bound.Day started off with a tree climb and a big stretch off the ground. Then a bit of a look around Mt Barker. Then it was the trails. It's been a while since I've hit a long trail and being alone it was just me and the caches to fill the rest of the day in. Some power trails are tougher than others, ie parking locations and barriers can be annoying and chew up time. But happily I managed all hurdles. Even the odd orb spider that made some tracks mazes. Happily that what I'd pland out fell into place with only a couple of DNFs.End of day was a surprise with my biggest solo grab of over 300 in a day. But I have plenty more trails in SA to utilise if I want to better that score TFTC FLIPPER&CO
Nice size. Im making my very slow journey back to Melbourne from Adelaide after the mega yesterday. This was one of the finds I collected today. Thank you FLIPPER&CO for placing and maintaining Wandering Heroes - Where's Wolly for us to find today.
Wow what a beautiful sized box, obviously this CO is worthy of it.Nice hide, easy to access, good to locateTFTC
Another bite out of the Wandering Heroes juggernaut yielding about 15 finds today. The enormity of the task is sinking in now; Ive still barely scratched the surface, still well under half complete. No DNFs today, and all caches were in pretty good shape considering their age and the conditions out here. Thanks to all the respective COs, and also to all who have assisted to keep this trail intact thus keeping all the history documented here alive. What would caching on the Eyre Peninsula be like without wheres_wolly_sharon? Heroes!
TFTC. Log signed As yet we've not had the chance to visit the west coast or find a Wolly cache but it's on the to do list
Quick find with Beary Organised very easy to locate & all good here. TFTC TNLNSL
Day 5 of tackling this series. Based on Murray Bridge. What a great section of this series. Enjoyed the day. Thank you to all the cachers who put these out for us to locate. Found 64 and 2 dnf today.

TFTC FLIPPER&CO for your cache Wandering Heroes - Where's Wolly that we found today.
WE are camped at the Football Oval for a few days exploring and caching around the area. Today the plan was to head along the Kulda Road finding Wandering Hero caches. We got to Martin Road and then detoured as the traffic along the road was getting a bit much for us. All caches found in good nick and pretty accurate co-ordinates.
Find count : 15765

Caching with the JAMS crew finding Wandering Heroes caches. We ended up finding over 300 and hiding 2 more. We replaced a lot of containers that were broken. We had a few showers of rain early which were getting us wet but they didn't last too long and it ended up being a nice day. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the caches.
Out with the JAMS crew JJ52, Mogni, Allister W and sir_spectre, plus TallBikeStan and BratKat on this run. The logs where stamped as Mystery Randoms. The target's today where the Wander Heros trail ( as far as we could get ) plus any other caches in the towns or close to the road and the nearby Lab cache in Karoonda. We got slowed down by the rain till almost lunch. No wildlife sighted, not even a kanagroo. We found over 300 + caches, some of us had found some of them before but we are aligning all of our maps to the same finds. We replaced over 40 wandering heroes caches we found broken, most logbooks where dry and put in the new cache. Any logsbooks found close to full had a scroll added to the cache and all broken caches we removed and put in the bin. By the end of the day we had over a garage bag full of broken caches.
After watching Giselle play netball up here, we thought let’s go geocaching. Found with superman_22 Giselle_12
Had to come out to Tailem Bend today, finished doing what I had to do early so thought I would do some geoing while I'm here TYFTC
Found this and several of the WH series/PT as with most Pt trails the caches were all easy to find with a few short searches thrown. Had pleastand day out in the country before it started to warm up and I started getting hungry. TFTC & the series I still have a lot more wandering heros to find.
Day 174 (Thursday 20th) of our trip. Caching along the way. Left Millicent today. A total of 19 for the day and 3058 for the trip. TFTC
Found with Lonely Ra thanks for cache have to go do will complete next time we are in SA
Thanks Flipper and Co for this cache, and your contribution to the whole WH series. I was on a mission today to grab as many of these as I could. Logging most from home after returning, satisfied and exhausted.
A nice easy one to spot here. And far enough away from the roadworks that it isn’t going to be disturbed.
Could use a new log book though. Had to hunt for a spot where I could add my stamp.
Thanks for the cache FLIPPER&CO.

Tonight was a long drive from Adelaide to Mount Gambier for a weekend of cave diving, and hoping to catch a few of the Millicent mega committee's events scattered around the southeast. There were a few target/required stops on the way: I needed to make a stop at Tailem Bend's Wandering Heroes series to place a cache and find my hero cache that Michells&hound had put out, and there were a few tree/ladder climbing caches placed between Kingston and Millicent that were yet to have a FTF.
It didn't take long to find this one, although the logbook was full and needs replacing. Thanks FLIPPER&CO.

We had two hours of the afternoon left before sunset, and so we decided to search for a chunk of these Wandering Heroes caches before heading off to our campsite for the night. We enjoyed reading about the various geocachers, some of whose names we recognise as owners of caches we have found on our travels around Australia, and some whose names we recognise having seen them in log books around the country. Many thanks to the COs for having laid the trail and we hope we might be able to complete it on a future visit to Australia - maybe we might even get to meet some of the COs and the geocachers mentioned at the Clearwaters and St Arnaud 2019 Mega Events that we will be attending. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
We were heading out of Palmer today and just picked out a couple of caches on our way to our next destination with ilook4geo.
Then we started on a trail of caches placed in honour of Wandering Heroes of the geocaching game. Although some of the cache containers and logs were on good condition, there were also quite a few where the containers were badly damaged and no longer are weather or vermin proof. Some logs also need to be replaced as they are either full, wet or mouldy.
However, each found log had two more names added and all was put back as it had been found. Thanks go to the CO for their part in this trail of caches.

Moving on today and still caching with goingplaces2. Found quite a lot for the day and signed each log. The Wandering Heroes caches were sometimes a bit challenging to find and some needed a lot of maintenance. All was put back into place before we moved on. TFTC.
On a spur of the moment trip to Tailem Bend to have a bit of caching fun.
Spent the day picking up caches in the area and surrounds and starting this great series which I will return one day to finish.
A great variety of cache containers were found in all sorts of ways.
Thanks FLIPPER&CO TFTC.

I had planned a big few days of caching in SA so I left work on a Tuesday evening and hit the road from Melbourne. This was my third full day of caching and the Wandering Heroes caches (and assorted others nearby) were on my target list. It was a blisteringly hot day (felt hotter than the 39C recorded on my car!) and the dry and dusty conditions made it hard going at times. My first task having left where I was staying overnight in Murray Bridge was to head to the Geopets series. Once I was done there I headed on to the Wandering Heroes and others along that route. Many took me longer than expected with different containers, hide styles and some further off the road. In the end I had to adjust my expectation of finds for the day before I headed north to where I was staying overnight. Thanks to FLIPPER&CO for this cache and to all COs for placing and maintaining this remarkable series. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Having started the oz mega signal yester, I headed back down south with the intention of finishing it and making a start on the wandering heroes’ caches. It was perfect weather for a long day of caching, after a few caches the mojo was back and good progress was made. Stopping in Wellington for lunch (and more caches) it was off to Tailem Bend and a steady slog was made into the wandering heroes. Eventually, as the sun was setting it was time to call it a day and head home after an enjoyable day.

Stay at Murray Bridge for few days before heading to Adelaide from Melbourne to see my family and also a week break from work. Came here to do the Wandering Heroes caches for the day. Nice and found. TFTC!!
With the magical creatures souvenirs coming to an end soon, I decided I needed to grab a few more caches this weekend to knock most of them out. With a couple of events on not too far from some mostly untouched power trails, I made my way down to Murray Bridge, then spent the afternoon evening attacking the start of Wandering Heroes, as well as the start of the Popes series, along with a few others in between.
This was find number 18 of 72 for the day for me. TFTC FLIPPER&CO!

Yesterday I was making my way from Mansfield to Adelaide. I was racing over there and on my way back I dropped in to tailem bend set up my tent on the footy field and woke up at 2 to some sprinkles and thought crap better pack up my tent as it almost got soaked! After an interesting experience at the tailed bend football oval I was awake and thought I’d do some quick caching before I made my way home. Easy find TFTC
I was on my way to Barmera, with a bit of time on my hands as planned lol, so I was going to find some interesting caches along the way and a few of the power trail caches. The rain stopped, which was a bonus. At some point I decided to stop only for the large ones, otherwise I would never make it to my destination for the night! TFTC!!
Lovely day mission to do the Trail on MrPancakes birthday. Thank you for the cache
Found on a one month road trip around Australia. Sorry for the generic log. TNLNSL TFTC

We decided to tackle some of this series while staying in Murray Bridge. Most of the ones we attempted were quick finds and we were able to SL without any issues. Thanks for this series.
A quick and easy drive by as we cache our way through this series. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Needed the cache for the day and was heading to Tailem Bend for work. Having cleared out most of the town this trail was next on the list. After finishing work and on the way home made the detour along the road to commence making the finds. And as always you just can't stop at one.
Made a quick find , signed log and replaced. Great to read the history of names you come to know so well.

Ismartis and I decided on a day caching some of the Wandering Heroes and a few extras in her quest to reach 3000 finds and to put down a new cache for another Wandering Hero. [^]
We started off from Tailem Bend and headed to Karoonda and beyond and had a great day managing 77 finds for me and 4 DNF's.
Some of the caches were badly in need of repair and some were very well put together but all in all it was a fun day with most of the caches easy to find.
Thanks for the cache FLIPPER&CO.

Came out to this cache dense neck of the woods with JJ52 today to get a few numbers to get me closer to my 3000th cache and place a new Wandering Heroes cache as well .
The weather was great for caching, cool with no rain, and we had a really good run on the Wandering Heroes with me getting 75 finds for the day & 4 DNF's and JJ52 picking up a couple of extras .
Then once darkness hit we headed in and enjoyed a really good meal at the Tailem Bend Riverside Hotel . What a nice way to finish off a great day and refresh ourselves for the trip home.

Oh wow, what a trail ! The WEEO and I flew down from Canberra to cache this trail and around MB and my wonderful Auntie put us up (future cacher there too ). We made it all the way to Loxton in 2 days but were shagged by the end. The caches were mostly fab and gave us a laugh along the way.
Thanks to all you cachers in the MB area for the great work in putting this together, you guys rock!

What a great trail, the weather is fine, the birds are singing and we are "in the groove". Thanks to all the cachers who put this trail together, we are having a ball and have not missed a beat, so far. 3-Kings and I have come all the way from NSW to experience this trail and it was well worth it. Tftc! On the road today trying to get as many as I can on this trail and catches in the area of tailem bend. Weather is perfect today. Merry Xmas.
On a quick two to three day get away by myself. Heading over to Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge to pick up a few smiley face along the way collecting mostly Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids, Wherigos and 'Finds by hidden month' I need to fill - Plus any others that are nearby any of the rarer types I'm after in boosting my numbers a little.
Day 1:After leaving on Home on Sunday I was fortunate to have excellent weather on my side and a great run also traffic wise, which was great as it enabled me to get quite a lot of KM's done and caches done too while on my way to Tailem Bend for the night and get an early start on the trail in Murray Bridge.
Day 2: After spending the night in Tailem Bend I made an early start at first light to cram as many caches in today as I can. After completing the Geopets series in Tailem Bend I headed over to Murray Bridge to grab a coffee and then do and complete the OZmega series and a few in between before returning back to Tailem Bend for the night.
Was an epic day with 218 caches found and logged!
Day 3: Made this my last day in SA before calling it "time-out" and head back across the border to VIC.
Did a few more this morning including making a start on the Wandering Heroes series before 10:30 before calling it quits.
Thanks FLIPPER&CO for the cache.

We had arrived in Tailem Bend last night, met up with Geodad as he has been working in Adelaide for almost 3 weeks. We surely do miss him. Our Geoboys had no football this w/end, we had nothing planned so this treck was in mind not being sure what the weather was going to be like we thought we would give it a start anyway. We had just had breakfast, a few cachers around Tailem Bend. Filled the car with fuel, said our goodbyes to Geodad & away we went on this incredible experience. Starting at approx 11am. Had a quick glance of the Honour Roll to see who & how many of these awesome geocachers we knew or had met on our travels during our Geocaching Experience. We haven't had the pleasure to meet Where's Wolly as of yet. Quick & easy find. Our 10th find of the series so far. TFTS
