Time for another before retracing the steps back to the car and heading back for some more work catch-ups. All good here, smaller than I expected.Coming to the end of my time here in Adelaide and SA and the thought that I'd be here until Monday is now likely a Thursday departure. A few things going on for work today so not too much time for distractions, got a few when I could, and when it was appropriate that I was in the area anyway. Thanks to all COs for their hides and ongoing maintenance.
I was nearby to this cache whilst targeting another geocache. Following that visit, I wandered past this location, and made the quick cache find. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook was full and in need of replacement. Thanks smersh for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------A trip visiting Adelaide from Brisbane for the [The Great Leap Forward](http://coord.info/GCA1DNA) Mega event!I arrived Wednesday 28/02/2024 evening ready for Leap Day on Thursday, and stayed with family across the weekend, before returning on Monday 4/03/2024 morning. Previous Adelaide trips are spent with family and friends, but targeted geocaching was this trip's objective, and I attempted to target unique cache types (virtuals, EarthCaches, Wherigos and letterbox hybrids), attractive D-T combinations, high Favourite Point caches, and the occasional pre-2003 oldie, acknowledging that I had found many cherished oldies whilst residing in Adelaide. In addition to Mega central in Beverley/Hindmarsh, my trip included visits as north as Clare, to Aldinga and Sellicks Beach to the south, and the Adelaide Hills (Hahndorf, Uraidla) to the west. In true South Australian style, I ticked off the three closest wine areas to Adelaide (Barossa, Clare Valley, and McLaren Vale). Additional highlights included Barossa vineyard meanderings, boating to Adventure Island in Outer Harbor, drain exploration via [The Shadowlands](https://coord.info/GC18AZY), beach walks of Port Willunga and Sellicks Beach, enjoying a beer at Willunga, and experiencing the Fringe Festival in Adelaide's east end.Today, the day commenced with Largs Bay parkrun, which was an enjoyable coastal jog along the esplanade/foreshore. With thanks to [weredunn4](https://coord.info/PRC5T5A), I then enjoyed a boat adventure to fittingly named Adventure Island; it was my third visit to the island, and I had new additions [Adventure Island Lab](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/1d247191-ffc2-4a14-ba9d-cf02ea3d7980) and two puzzle caches to find. Following a couple of targeted geocaches on the peninsula, I then joined the St Clair [The only cure for litter is YOU!](https://coord.info/GCAHQH3) CITO event and continued to catch up with familiar friends at the subsequent [Welcome to St Clair](https://coord.info/GCAHQH7) event. From mid-afternoon, I picked up my muggle father, convincing him that I had a couple of fun adventures in store. We walked around Adelaide's parklands, visiting Victoria Park's southern area where their wetlands were a new feature (following my Adelaide residence in 2021). After my scouting expedition on Thursday, I returned to [The Shadowlands](https://coord.info/GC18AZY) drain with the required TOTT, and my dad enjoyed the tasteful graffiti and unique experience. The afternoon's remainder was spent driving around Adelaide's gorgeous eastern suburbs stopping at targeted geocaches, which included Norwood, Kensington, Hazelwood Park, Magill and letterbox hybrid geocaches towards Waterfall Gully. We joined the Mega attendees one last time at the [Light's Vision](https://coord.info/GCAH0YJ) closing event, enjoying one of Adelaide's picturesque views from Montefiore Hill.

Found on todays leap day Mega event caching day! A very busy section of road at this time of day, quick find thankfully and all good here, cheers.Find #6660 on 29 Feb 2024.TFTC smersh!
6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.Today, it's a great day, the day of Mega.We passes a fun day, a lot of meet and some caches Easy. GoodThanks for this cache
Caching from WA west coast to SA for the leap year mega. TFTC. Was in the first place I looked but I had to look twice.
I had to go to Bunnings for a sink issue at home, afterwards I swung by here to get a cache to keep the streak going.
A quick find here. CIGO.
Thanks smersh for this cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3180 on the 8th of June 2023.
CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it!
Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!
**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!**

I was wandering around the area completing the Adventure Labs and getting the steps up to my daily goal. I made the detour off towards this one to have a look. Once I worked out where I needed to look(!) it was a straightforward find. TFTC smersh
We were looking around for a while and had just decided to give up when we saw the cache.

On my way with fellow Geo Buddy Peas&CarrotsForever to do some shopping, and stopped to find this hide!
Don't go by the navigation or coordinates, as you'll be led astray. Use and follow your Geo senses instead....

Headed out this morning to collect a few caches in the western suburbs, came past this cache today and looked in the obvious place although the hint is wrong as it is not magnetic. Cache and contents are all good
