We visited this cache during our trip through out New Zealand!
With our rental car, we explored the north island for 12 days.
NZ is a beautiful country and we really enjoyed our time here.
We hope to return one day and explore a little bit more!
Day 5 - Gisborne to Rotorua
The day started in Gisborne, where we explored a little bit of the city and looked for some caches. After that we visited many places along the route to Rotorua, mainly along road trough the Waioeka gorge and in the coast.
This one we didn't find
Thanks for the cache.
Greetings from Portugal.

Not happening today looked long and hard for this one ....not to many places to hide a cache here and for an easy drive by I am suspicious some want it more than we do lol be good to confirm if it's still alive
I don't like dnfs so it's hard to admit defeat on this one. We sure did look but to no avail.
2nd time trying to find this one. Looks like a quick find but we've list our touch with this one. Hopefully next time it will be third time lucky! Good day for a swim tho.
This was another well placed and enjoyable cache - it was in excellent condition - thanks very much for the placement.
THis weekend just back from the OZ Mega 2015 I was once out and about caching with friends. This time it was ROSMAR, 11HPG11, & again Alpenmilch80 who was along for the test driving of her new beastie and trying to get a hang of some back country roads.
Our second stop on the way back from a big day and after refueling this was a quick find while avoiding the eyes of the muggles in the distance.
So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt

Out and about today with 11hpg11, rosmar and Cats&Dragons to find some lonely geochaches (distance & last found) in the area. I was very keen to join when I caught word of the plans to give my new car an off-roading practice run. The end result was a very dirty car and a happy owner. Had an awesome time out with the crew.
Enjoyed the view from GZ. TFTC

Another mission, a new area this time. The plan was to do some off-roading and 4x4 caches, plus a few others in the area. Cats&dragons and I set off on Friday night and had an amazing light show of sheet lightning and heavy rain. Our spirits were not dampened though and we made the long slog to Opotiki. We worked out our plan of attack for the next morning and found a few great looking caches to check out. We were meeting up with Rosmar and Alpenmilch80 in the morning before heading to some wild country.
Cats&dragons made a speedy find here while I was still reading the description. Getting speedy after all those finds!

We are over the ditch for 18 days, with the goal of achieving our 1000 milestone at East Cape, (Less than 20 to go) which will give us our Most Easterly Find as well, 4* east of our current one.
Sorry about the delay in logging, no access to a computer, had to wait until we are home in Qld.

[green] Home for Christmas. Well, sort of. Home is actually Palmerston North, the rest of the family are in Rotorua, and now I am off to Opotiki with mum to catch up with the rest of the family who left for the beach a few days ago, staying at the Tirohanga Campground. I haven't swum in the ocean for years!! Got here yesterday after caching most of the way up from Rotorua, with the exception of Kawerau to Whakatane. The wind slammed the car door shut on mum's hand, and so we had to get it checked out. no bones broken, luckily, but plenty of other crush injuries. Time will fix them easily enough.
It's the day after the day after Christmas. I borrow my sister's car to spend a day on the hikoi o Nga Tapuwae o Toi. That's done, minus a few gaps that will have to wait for a later visit. Then into town for the earth cache, and a few odds and sods. Now, at last, on the road back to the campground.
Re the cache with the munzie (the QR code) I have found rather a lot of caches around here with them. Dropped in a pathtag in exchange for a bracelet for my niece.
Thanks for the cache, and Merry Christmas from the Seagnoid!

Thought I would grab a few caches on my way home from Opotiki after lunch with a friend. quick stop down by the beach nice warm sunny afternoon. Not many muggles about quick find. TFTC
Stopped to drop in a coin and check all ok for a geo friend. Good to go, did a bit of CITO around the area. TFTC
On our way to Gisborne for a weekend convention so naturally we took some extra time to get there and go Geocaching on the way. Decided we would go around the East Cape and clean up what we could on the way.
The plan was to start our caching run at Opotiki, or we would never get there. But the best laid plans etc.
In a previous life Mr S and his family used to camp down here, in the days when camping was allowed just about anywhere. Mrs S was not even aware you could get down there.
Mr S soon had the cache in hand, signed and returned and we carried on along the little track back to the main highway and on to the next one.
Thanks nzkeko, another smilie.

Two of the kids made it into the bop cross country champs which were held at woodlands school Opotiki. So once we had finished there we decided to do a few caches in the way home thus was the second one of the day. this was a quick find there were three people on beach further down surf was very ruff today. Driving around New Zealand with campervan. Today we were driving from Te Araroa to Taupo. Nice beach but too cold to go swimming today. Easy find.

Found with Wenzwill on our trip back to Rotorua after a very wet Easter weekend at Tirohanga. Cache was exactly where the clue said. QR code was nowhere to be seen though (much to the disappointment of my daughter who loves scanning them). TFTC
Found on our trip around the East Coast. Finding geocaches along the way was a bonus.TFTC
On holiday for a few days, camping just down the beach. Gracermr and I thought we would head out early, before it got too hot, but after breakfast (!) to grab a cache. Not quite sure how we managed to navigate past the other cache in the vicinity, which is actually closer to the campground, nevertheless, the cache was quickly in hand and we then raced back (just over 7 minutes - walking and 'running') through the drift wood and other detritus, whilst avoiding the high tide waves.

Most Christmas holidays involve a road trip of some description and this year is no exception. Today we were driving between Whakatane and Gisborne, and grabbing as many caches along the route as we could. Got the wrong level for this one at first, dropped down and made a quick find, TFTC

Day four of the July school holidays, what better way to spend the Winter Holiday then driving to the BOP via the East Coast, looking for interesting caches, climbing hills and walking on beaches.
We had the area to ourselves, but cache didn't take long to locate anyway. TFTC.

Cache replaced as it has been either muggled or may be a very high tide disturbed the GZ.
Had to move it a little bit, so please take note of the new coordinates.
Happy hunting
