My second visit here bringing 1Putz to this oldest in Missouri. Site is quite different than when I was here three years ago. Could certainly hold a CITO event and be busy for awhile. Maybe that would encourage the “inhabitants” to move on and preserve this site for another twenty years.
Found with y2kcompliant while heading home to MI from CA. It was on the way...sort of - only a few hundred miles out of the way. But if it's an old cache is it really out of the way? Thanks for keeping this oldie alive. The cache may be unremarkable but the geological features here are amazing!
Had to stop for this one on my way west since it's so old! Was able to park pretty close and then just walked down the trail to GZ, which was covered in snow. Thankfully I found it without too much trouble. Thanks for keeping this one active!

My daughter got a job in Denver so we had an unexpected cross-country trip, in winter, to get her moved and settled in. Since we had to travel I, of course, had to plan in some caching on the route. Given the time constraints, and the fact that I love them, most of the ones planned for the outbound leg were old virtuals although I did take advantage of any opportunity I had.
This makes the 2nd "oldest in state" of this trip and the 18th overall that I've found. Sorry to say that the cache itself was underwhelming except for its age. Thanks for keeping this oldie alive.
