Out caching with ADI when she spots this one and says we need to check it out. An interesting bit if history and construction tucked away. We completed the signing duties and re hid. Without geocaching we might have never known it was here. TFTC
My buddies: b@wSeeing the number of s, I was really interested in finding this cacheWe went down from the side where there was dry concrete, giving us the grip to come down... This little tunnel & bridge was awesome!! Hidden heritage FP for bringing us to this cool locationCache is good logbook is Thank you vicfire, for creating, placing and maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.Follow my story on Instagram @AlphaDeltaIndigo
Wow. Such an interesting spot for a cache (and a bridge for that matter). Thanks for bringing me to this spot (although it was a challenge to get to) and for the history of the bridge. A pretty easy find once I was at GZ
Didnt even know the bridge was there, super cool spot, getting the cache was tricky as it had rained a lot this morning, but the cache was a very decent weight
We negotiated the traffic and found a way there...after hiding trusty treadles. Today marks a great escape - from or to reality! Either way time to recalibrate and get back to caching. So planned a multi mission to Geelong with kbucky and Weirdobiker targeting this series yet to be collected after solving a long long time ago. Caches found relatively easily with no dramas. Thanks for your caches, the challenges and the FUN
This is a really nice old bridge, but a bit of a dodgy spot to get to, particularly with the push bikes
After slowly easing my way down, got this cache signed and another one off the list.Lid was on very tightPika 18/1/24
This little bridge is fantastic. I love these pieces of forgotten history. Good parking nearby on the way inbound side. I AM GURTHE SKITZ CACHER
I can understand why this is such a popular cache! It's in a beautiful historic site that is out of the way of casual muggle traffic, yet it's right there in the middle of modern road infrastructure. It's deceptively challenging to find your way there, and its hide location keeps you guessing for a bit, yet it's not too hard to uncover once you are looking in the right spot.Well done, Vicfire, and thanks for keeping this one around for us.
Suggested this one to [@RikkiJayMudd](http://coord.info/PR1JBBM6) as today's quick caching adventure. Once we managed to find our way into the GZ, it was amazing how isolated we felt despite the traffic all around us. The cache was quickly found, but I was glad to have RikkiJayMudd with me to prise open the container. Everything was in good condition inside. Thanks for making us stop and explore a spot that we've driven past so many times!
This was such a great location. Thanks for bringing us here. I have no idea how many times I have driven past this without ever knowing it was there. TFTC

One of us was already aware of this historical bridge ... so it was a very cool discovery for the other!
The most difficult part was getting the lid off! TFTC

This one made us look like we had lost something! Up down across, down around back up and back down! Great historical bridge, and finally made the find 30 minutes later! Thanks for the hint!
I grew up in this town and never even knew this bridge existed. It's absolutely beautiful and is definitely worthy of a cache to alert people to it's presence. One way to ensure it is not forgotten about.
Thanks for placing this cache and bringing me here vicfire

Well that was different! A very interesting spot with a bit of Rock solid history, strangely secluded in the middle of chaos! Well done. A favourite from me! Celebrated by dropping off a trackable
This is an amazing historical Bridge well worth the visit and the crossing of the major Highway thank you so much for the placement at this beautiful place favourite Point given bringing me here
Out here with KDosVerH123 scouting hiding places, had to grab this one while nearby.
Nice little area near GZ, certainly an interesting spot for a cache. Made the quick find, got log signed and replaced as found.
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the logbook nice and dry.

there's the little old bridge
made of bluestone and mortar
living in the midst of all these flashy new bridges of metal and concrete
this little bridge seems a bit of a shy one
the traffic zooming past
it's taken to hiding away amid the lilies and the vines
the nervous child hiding under a tablecloth at a noisy party
we came
to see the vines curl around the old bridge
to see the sunlight on the bluestones
the metal monsters raced on by
this little bridge hunkered down
we basked in its quiet charm
great little spot
thanks for the treasure

Brought me to a place I had never been before.
After 5 mins of searching gz, I assumed i had no luck. While reading logs to make sure it still existed, I turned my head to find it in a fairly obvious spot. This is a really nice cache in a beautiful area. Log and pen are a little water damaged, but otherwise all good. TFTC

After a frustrating day of too many DNFs, it was nice to find this cache without too much searching. Such a nice little bridge hidden away from the world. TFTC
Caching started for me in Torquay in 2016, and we’re back again for the week. This cache is obviously not Torquay - 7 years has cleared out the close ones - but it is the most favourited near here. I can see why - a little piece of engineering history preserved. Thanks vicfire for pointing it out. The log was damp but writeable.
Nice quick find for us today!

Due to local flooding in the Geelong area this cache will be disable for some weeks.
Once the creek has dropped the cache may have gone.
Will check when safe to do so.

I was aware of this being here but even after living in Geelong for about 30 years, I had never bothered to stop and have a look. It is with the placing of this cache that I have slowed down and had a good look. It is a lovely bridge that is obviously well constructed as it appears to be unharmed by all that is going on around it. Thank you for placing this cache. A favourite for us.
Wow. You have to love caching when it points out forgotten sites like this. It is a beautiful structure and thanks has to go to the CO for showing it to us. A favourite for me.
We were traveling past and made a quick stop where we could.
This is indeed an historic bridge! We would never have known about this if it wasn’t for geocaching!

The outer container was still here but the internal container is definitely missing.

Travelled down to Geelong today to attend Bushfires event at Barwon Valley Park and grab a few others in the surrounding area as well.
I found the outer container and made my mark on that but the internal container (as seen in photos) is definitely missing.

Well we have come back to sign the log after finding it a few weeks ago but were unable to sign the log as it was in need of maintenance so now it is up and going again it was time to get back and sign off on it

When I got the email notification to say the cache was back in action, I wanted to come back as soon as I could. This time it was my turn to grab the cache and I wondered if my arm was going to be long enough! Luckily it was. With a much easier setup the log was easily retrieved and quickly signed. We even had time to explore down here, well I did, while RowdyTrain4472 wondered what on earth I was doing! TFTC
Had a lot of fun getting to this little cache but the log has been pushed in so far that we couldn’t get out!
Looks like this one needs looking at due to log pushed to far in.
Picked it up this morning needs some work at home back soon.
Thanks all,
Vicfire

That was freaky I was scared stiff 90% of the time going for it. Tricky one terrain wise glad I was rocking boots and trekking poles!!! SLTNLN TFTC... Favourite from me...
We had driven past before realising this had so many favourite points, this morning, after the CITO. Since we needed that type of cache for this month’s Peak challenge, Kernalcache did a U Turn for us.
A very busy spot as far as vehicles were concerned but we managed to cross the road. locus cache, the intrepid warrior, battled the terrain and shrubbery with Rex, the Geodog, with kernalcache and I giving encouragement. She managed to find the cache but it took both of them to extract the log.
Thanks for placing it here to show us the original little lost bridge.

buhfuhguh and SteMicMitSar very kindly offered to take me around Geelong today with a Community Celebration Event in Ceres being the outing's main attraction.
Despite the event starting at 6pm, I had to wake up at 6am in order for us to fit in all of the adventures that this region had to provide!
An excellent time was had at each and every stop, and meeting other cachers throughout the day as people slowly trickled into the area was a really fun experience too.
Actually accessing gz posed its own challenges, but a quick scurry across the road brought us where we needed to be, hopefully without too many motorists wondering what we were up to!
Immediately we noticed the table over the creek which we found to be rather bemusing.
Quite a number of spots were checked before buhfuhguh and SteMicMitSar went down a bit further and found the hide.
Figuring out how to access the log was an extra little step to overcome but they had it open in no time!
However, none of this answers why there's a table over the creek...
I suppose some questions are best left unanswered.

Out and about in Geelong today collecting some caches before the celebration event being held later tonight. With Stemicmitsar and Brainiac03 we powered through collecting solved puzzles and other caches of interest through the day. Had another great day out chipping away at the Geelong area and can't wait to be brought back down this way shortly. Thanks for the cache and the great day out.

*Cache find # 12104.*
Today I headed out and around to the Geelong region once again with Brainiac03 and buhfuhguh to spend the day in search of caches before heading to Mr. Sim’s 50th birthday celebration event.
I have noticed this old bridge many times but never stopped to look for the cache so today after the last find we headed to this one on foot, we arrived near the GZ area and eventually made it to where the cache is, it's certainly an interesting cache and it wasn't long before the log was signed.

Did not expect to find that In there. Cool storage unit, think I may have shocked a person or two coming out! Thanks for the fun!
Thanks for the cache. Log seemed to have gone missing. Didn't even know this bridge existed.

Sometimes you don't realise what gems you are driving past until a Geocache takes you there. This is one such gem. Under a tangle of new concrete bridge and road spaghetti surrounding it, is a beautiful old bridge. It is a shame that this bridge is pretty much hidden from public view and that you must cross some pretty busy roadway to get to it. Once you arrive at the cache, and it was a pretty quick spot, you have to nut out how to get to the log. Once you get your mind going in the right direction obtaining the log is simple. The cache is in excellent condition, and looks like it belongs where it is. Thank you for this cache vicfire. We can understand why this cache has so many FPs and we are adding one to the pile.
Catching a few caches while visiting my daughter, traveling down from NSW. This cache caught my eye and my interest after reading about it. Not sure of which way to approach the GZ. But by all accounts and as per previous comments, choose your footwear wisely. Picked the wrong side of the creek, and accessing the site from the point I choose was a little dicey. Came down and located the quite impressive hide. Thanks so much for bringing me here! FP for both the construction and the information!
Spentba spare hour caching around Waurnponds this afternoon and was very happy I came across this cache. This was a fun cache and I love the thought and creativity in the build.
Thanks for getting me out and about.
Thanks for getting me out and about.
Cracking hide. I think I went the long way around to get to it but certainly worth the chase. Thanks for going to the effort to put this one together.
Checked this one out today all good. some clean up has started bye the group who looks after this area.
Thanks

Awesome cache! Area is super overgrown which made getting to the cache hard. But managed to find it after some searching around
We were out an about on the bikes with RedGeoDevil and saw this one was on our way back. Took us a while trying to locate GZ but eventually found a clever little hide in an awesome undiscovered beauty. TFTC
Been out to check up on this one.

After spending the day down Geelong way finding a few caches and the book series as well it was time to start heading back home but not before finding a few caches along the way back.
Now where to park Oh there Now how to get there Oh that way.
Finally made my way down and the GPS was bouncing around so I looked in a few spots.and I soon spotted something.
Could that be it yes it was a very tricky cache soon had my name added to the log.
A fav goes out to you for this one.
Thanks vicfire TFTC.

Having just been to the nearby cinema, we thought it would be ultra efficient to grab a cache just after midnight to keep the streak going. Making our way down there were a few stumbles, but soon enough the cache was in hand. Great cache, I can see why so many FPs have gone towards it! TFTC
