I'd go with the second explanation for the name! Cute additions to the town. Thanks for the hide and highlighting it for us.
OzHockeyChick and I had an epic weekend with some other cachers at GlennMaggie in kayaks and on way home we decided to grab a couple of caches and this one was 2nd for the day : Ran into another cacher at this one and had a chat while i operated on the cow and probably not it the greatest way

On way home from a weekend at Heyfield, 88andy88 and I stopped by to find this well-hidden cache. Cheers!

I liked this very much even though it did not do my mugglephobia any favours. But if anything would help this one would. Tyftc.
Quick easy find, the town has certainly done themselves proud with all the decorated cows! Fav point given, TFTC
Wished I had one of those elbow length rubber gloves to retrieve this one. This won't hurt a bit little missy.. thanks..!!
Second try here last time it was missing. glad to cross this one off tftc
We were guessing where this might be as we approached and not only were we spot on, but lucky we had the skinny wristed geokid to help! Good cache - thanks
Found it but the cache has slipped inside. But GeoDad came to the rescue. Thanks. Silkyie

Was commenting how cool the local cattle was on the way into town before stopping at the cache. The town itself is small but cute looking. The cache was a quick park and grab on the way back to melbourne without using the main highway. Found with Ryanofoz TFTC!
On our way to Traralgon B/dale Bandits and I decided to get some smilies but, it wasn't to be with this one. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were not able to retrieve the container therefore couldn't sign the log. As we know where and how to look it will be in the bag next trip through Cowwarr. Thanks for being polite during our conversation, Peter.
Haha, found this cache with Fluffy_b, and what a great cache! Almost felt a little inappropriate...or maybe just like a vet TFTC!
Found while heading home from Glenmaggie, be gentle feeling around for this one as it comes off easy. TFTC.
Easy find. Great opportunity to visit the cows after 50km bike ride from Licola
Had located this one previously when a member of the family celebrated a birthday at the pub, but did not have a pen at the time. Driving through today we stopped and signed log. TFTC Poiter.h
Hehehe! Liked the placement of this one, especially watching kyabbott retrieve it! TFTC
Oh, excellent hide! TFTC Poiter.h, I did the honours and thankfully my fingers came out clean. Love it.
Great chance to have a closer look at one of the many cows surrounding the town. First time I have done this without have to wash afterwards!TFTC
On the way to wonangatta for a 4wd weekend with my girls this is the first cache for the weekend. Add a photo of my daughter Gemma with Bessy the cow. Didn't realize i need a vets degree to log this cache. Giving this a fav point. Thanks Poiter.h for the cache.

An interesting number of these cows in and around town. Investigated the one at GZ and was a little hesitant putting my hand up a certain anatomical part, but that's where the cache was so it had to be done!.
So many cows around town.
It was trying to rain when we found it.

September Stroll was born earlier in the week with an idea hatched to head in a loop towards Sale starting from Moe. Heading north up to Heyfield, across to Stratford then down to Sale before arriving home late, it was a magnificent spring day to enjoy East Gippsland.
Katy was quick out of the GeoRanger adamant to find this cache first and that she did!!! Trent also wondered if she needed a AI glove to assist her in the process!!!
Thanks for the cache S N A F U!!!

Heading to the High Country for the long weekend. I had Friday off, so I took off nice and early. The rain had just eased and it was light enough to grab a few caches. Looked here last time, but didnt find? but this time there it was. Thanks.
5th find for the day with Chaplain Mike. Logical hiding spot, didn't need the hint but very satisfying to put it back after Mike told me what the hint was! Ahhhh rivalry!!! LOL Loving the Art Deco buildings too. SL TNLN TFTC!

Thanks for the cache. Quick find on our way for a camping weekend. Have taken geocoin for a trip.
I found this one while riding through the area on my way to Cooma. Due to the bushfire activity, I didn't expect to be able to get to this, but all was clear. tftc.

Woo hoo! Been past here a zillion times; now we know what's here! Go Brighton Rabbits!
This was our second attempt, and today it was a simple straightforward find. The cache was definitely not in the same place last time as we had looked, felt and explored several times exactly where we found it today. Caching gremlins perhaps.

[red]I was heading home from being in the valley after working there for a couple of days, I decide to call in and take a photo of the cache and upload it. When I arrived Lan3y was there. So I quickly checked that the cache was there, and I said "Go for it"
Lan3y located the cache but had trouble retriving it.
So now I wont have to upload a photo of the cache.[/red]

[red] Had to go to the Valley for work today.
On my there, I called in to Cowwarr to check on the Cache.

mmmmmnnnn, checked rectum quite extensively with our cache torch, couldnt see anything in there, then with tentative fingers had a feel around, couldn't feel anything up there either, decided to expand the search but not to much else around to search so back to the moo'er, I think the moo'er digested the cache or it's camo'ed with an invisibility cloak, some locals sat on their veranda and watched us the whole time, I wonder what they thought of my extensive anal examination and fascination with a cow's butt, legs, horns, petrol cap etc... will keep an eye on this one ... thanks for the hunt anyway...
funny haven't had a DNF for ages and have had two today, DOH !

? Muggled. We looked in all the obvious places, revisited the clue and looked again, but no evidence of a cache could be found. Mr SKI even put the AI glove on! Either we have been conned by a clever hide, or this one has disappeared.
