Should be archived because of just DNFs for more than halv a year. It seems as if the owner doesn't care or has finished with geocaching. This place with the nice view is worth a geocache that can be found!
On our walk through the botanical gardens with StefTheVet we were sure to have found the right place according to the coords and the listing but couldn't find the cache. But the view was very nice though it was raining
After ReCached and I made our way to the park to log the final of an earlier multi-cache, we were surprised to find out, that the garden was a drive-through. So this was our first stop, but unfortunately, we didn't find a magnetic cache anywhere. Afterwards we read the logs of the other traditional caches in the park and we decided no to look for them because of their DNF's.

I looked for this cache together with my partner, Pityulino, during our holiday in New Zealand. Unfortunately, we did not find anything like other cachers before us already reported. The cache is obviously gone. As all the caches placed in the botanical garden went missing, I suggest to check with the management of the botanical garden. May be they don't allow caches to be placed here and collect what they find.
Disappointed that we had a DNF on all three caches we tried here today, but we obviously haven't been the only ones recently to DNF. Farntasic views from here today though.
Three of us Had a really good look using old logs as clues
Couldn't find it anywhere
Couldn't find it anywhere
Based on past logs, we expanded our search to the surrounding trees but no luck for us today!
2956 Down for the "Have a go day" tomorrow where you can pay $10 and have 3 laps of the short race track as a swinger on a swinger on a racing sidecar. Decided to come a day early so I could collect some caches.
Parked the motorhome at the camp ground and jumped on my bike. Arrived at GZ and searched the obvious with no success. Thought I might check the other obvious across the road. No success there either. Sat and enjoyed the sunset and read the last few logs. Went back to the first place and checked the nearest tree and there it was lodged in the branches. The magnetism has gone from the container. May need some attention to be able to be returned to it's correct position.

Thank you - foggy but still a lovely view. Look in a crook - but is it left or right?
Not found. Was with a previous finder and it was missing from where it used to be . We didn't search wider than the table so if its been shifted elsewhere as suggested by recent logs then looks like we overlooked it. CO needs to either reinstate to original hiding spot or change the hint.
Nice place and view. Logbook seems to be gone, used a little peace of paper. TFTC, NMDA
Found d close by as magnet has gone. Put small water proof log in but needs maintenance. Thanks for bringing us here
Finally found...a little distance from co ords...the magnetic bit has gone...signed log and replaced as found...may need CO to give some tlc thanks for the great cache
Thank you again. This was the first geocache I ever found. And now back with 4 year old grand daughter
Something I've just remembered (as it was a couple of days since I logged it) - the method of affixing has come unstuck from the container so that may need a bit of glue or something to keep it all together.
A second find in the gardens. I only came past this one as I had taken a wrong turn from the car park and ended up driving the loop. My wife found a black cat painted rock which reminded us of our own cat who sadly passed away a couple of weeks ago. TFTC
XC out caching on mtb while car getting repaired... Up here for first time... This is a nice spot.
Found ok... Log damp and mouldy..

Driving down to Taupo today and after grabbing a few on the way we decided to walk the town and geocache as we went. Our first port of call was the Botanical Gardens a relatively short walk from our motel. Our second in the gardens and after seeing it once and ignoring it we found it on our second look. A great view from this cache which we had to sit and admire for a few minutes before moving to our next. TFTC
Wow Very Smart! I'll Take A Picture Somewhere else, I was pretty smart were you hid it! (Adding a gift)
Well that worked out well. Here to pick up some information for a Wellington based multi and I pulled over because there was such a great view. Surely there will be a cache here? Yup 18m away lol. TFTC
Nice quick find here as we are on holiday in taupo for a couple of days and we have targeted this area and man what an area this is huge the views and the gardens . thanks for the placement and the smiley here.tftc
Found it with three kids just right before gate shut! Only took us a couple mins! TFTC
Awesome, Indy found it! We've walked by this spot so many times but didn't know it was here!
Our 2nd ever Geocache find! Found it with Boyd&Jinx with use of your helpful hints. Very nice location to visit.
Today our trip goes on by rental cache car. We drove from Wellington to Lake Taupo to meet our friends from Auckland. In the afternoon the boys went to fly fishing and I took the car to search GCs. First I stopped at Botanic garden for a walk. This was my second find here.

As we were driving back to our hotel, we noticed that there was a very high police presence, so we decided to go for a drive and get this cache!
Glad we did, as it was a great view now that the rain has passed (a bit)
Thanks for the cache

In Taupo for a few days so had to grab a few caches while wandering around. Did not know these gardens existed until geocaching bought us here today. Having found one of the caches this morning it was a walk through the gardens to GZ where this cache was quickly in hand. Signed log and sat a bit while my accomplice took photos. Great views and stands of native trees here as will as the rhodos and azaleas. Thanks for the placement and bringing us to these great botanical gardens, a hidden gem TGC4.
I went all botanical this morning and took a stroll around the Waipahihi Gardens this morning,
in pursuit of a foursome of caches hidden among the plantlife
The gardens are beautiful and a good mix of natural landscape,
and showcase a large variety of decorative and interesting trees from around the world
Here by the tank,
I found a comfy seat with a view
A sunny view this morning [^]
Yep !! I could see snow from here
A search of GZ revealed a neatly hidden cache

A nice quick find here, Lovely views of the lake and beyond - we could just see the mountain today. TFTC!
Had a great time at the Turangi Mega caching with Rosmar, Renelm and Indiana Jill aka INTGEO.
Indiana Jill and I stayed on for an extra day to continue the hunt. Also, to avoid the long weekend traffic.
Beautiful time of year to visit.

2nd for the day. Great view, always enjoy coming here, very pretty with all the blossom out. TFTC
The first for a days caching. Able to get a good view of the countryside near GZ. No difficulty with the find. Tftc.
What a lovely view, had a nice rest here.
Here for the nzmega. Beautiful day for a spot of geocaching, perfect weekend really.

On the way down to the Mega, Philip.Perry and I left early morning and cached our way down to Turangi.
We had plenty of time to get there, so while in Taupo we decided that we should turn our map of Taupo into as many smiley faces as we could.
I never knew Taupo had a Botanical Gardens and it was a beautiful area.
We pulled in behind some tourists who looked like they were going to be there for a while, but we found the cache easily without them worrying us, (or us worrying them!).
I love finding new places. Thanks for bringing me here.

This was one of over 60 stops 'Team B.O.P.' would make on the way down to the 2016 NZ MEGA in Turangi. TNXPro and myself have teamed up again with plans to meet Davidsonclan later on. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords, a good hint and a straight forward hide. A nice little walk/drive around the gardens, cheers TGC4 - TFTC

I was still looking at the view when "G" asked me is this what you are looking for. Another lovely spot in this reserve.
