Down for maintenance. I should have chosen a day when it wasnt 40 degrees in the shade.
The premise of this series was that it'd be a really cool little ride and a quick string of caches, today ,for me it was an annoying series plagued, literally by mosquitos and Muggled(?) caches. I don't often complain but have to this time, owner maintenance is required due to several missing caches as already logged by others. And top of my so and so day, the battery went flat real quick and my backups hadn't been charged [:(!]

Found with Wishy1 while doing the powertrail. Thanks to google for help solving the hint.
Well we'd never heard of the hint but we looked anyway. Nothing, absolutely nothing, so we googled. Now we were looking with knowledge. How did we miss that! TFTC danwashere.
Headed to Newcastle to do the Wallsend to Glendale Power Trail.
Enjoyed the walk on such a beautiful. This one was a nice little extra one to find, worth a favourite point.

We were able to meet up with friends DiMorgan and got together to do some caching around the Newcastle area. It was a fun day out and this was one of the caches we were able to find.
Thanks to danwashere.
Thanks to danwashere.
Was walking along here to find the power trail so picked this one up as well. Great little hide which was found straight away.

Great hiding spot, very accurate hint and even gained a bit of knowledge of riprap.
Found today while completing the powertrail from wallsend to glendale. Loved the hide, took a little while before I figured it out. TFTC
Power trail was being undertaken and so why not throw another one in on the trail

We have been before, this time we made our friends find it - they were quicker than we were!!
Great hide!!
Great hide!!
Found whilst completing the power trail. I vote this cache stays. It's got good camo, and in a power trail, it's the more caches the merrier. This cache took a while to find but I did eventually find the cache. Nice one. Great area. TFTC
Great hide. Always nice to find a new and different way of hiding something that i can remember to look for in the future. Found it on the return trip from doing the Wallsend to Glendale trail. TFTC.
Found this while doing the power trail walk with friends and their 4 daughters. They are going to start Geocaching now have them hooked by this walk. I think this one should be left here.
This was a bit of a reaction rollercoaster. Arrived, looked around for a while, decided to read the description. Assumed that the hint might be a photo. Curse cache owners that don't think how 'can only be found with a photo' is so frustrating to paperless visitors. Decided to read the clue. Hah! Congratulate myself on my vocabulary. Still took a while to find it - ageing has probably disguised it a lot. I've made a container just like that myself. Thanks.
Found 12:25, as we walked the Wallsend to Glendale Power Trail.
TNLN, CSI=2, thanks danwashere.

Beauitful day today, go out for a day at Wallsend area, Great easy stroll path to gz, Enjoyed... easy to find as hide very well, thanks
After 12 easy Powertrail caches this was a welcome challenge.
After wandering and searching aimlessly with the IPhone, I resorted to the big guns and soon had a lock on gz. However it still took some time before I spied the excellent camo.
Very well done!! My vote would be to leave it in place!

Given recent placement of other caches nearby to this one Im thinking of archiving the cache. Ill give it a few more weeks. Please let me know if you think its worth retaining. I have another great location planned for it already. Just have to carry it out. Ill let the geocaching world vote whether to keep this one.
If anyone feels energetic they are welcome to carry it out and place it somewhere safe and let me know the coords of its location.

Saw a deserted bike down the trail we'd just come along, but this cache wasn't where the bike was, or maybe the bike has moved.
Took a little searching but when we found it we wondered why it took us so long.
An elderly gentleman asked us if we were having fun and had we lost something. We told him we were looking for something. On our walk back to the car after completing the power trail we passed the same gentleman. He asked if we'd found what we were looking for, we told him we had. He laughed and said that was good. Nice guy.

After watching the tour de france for the past few weeks I thought a ride was in order. Checked in on the cache and everything is in order. Took the pencil home to sharpen as it was blunt. Ill drop it off next time I get the urge to ride up the hill again. Please bring your own pen.
Great spot for a cache. Enjoyed the 1km walk out there. This deserves a favourite point for the effort on the cache.
A lovely walk. Have wanted to recce the track since it opened. Approached from the Wallsend end, so got more of a walk than we would have from the Glendale end. Well disguised resting place.
We weren't sure from which direction to attack this one. Thought the TAFE end may be the way to go but the GPS had a better idea. We ended up parking near a constuction zone in what looks like a retirement village. Never knew it was there till now. GZ was only about 300m away. Coords were spot on and had me almost on top of the cache. Picked it first go as is it similar to one of our own. Grabbed TB. Well done danwashere.

Our first day of GCing. Rule number one... Read the description first. We ended up on a bush walk. Hilarious!
Very nicely hidden! We were trying to find the X for a long time! Finally got it! Dropped off TB "Pictorial Travelogue #2"
Beautiful bush - great walk (didn't have bikes on hand!) - and must say, someone has done a great job preparing the final resting place - good work!
It was nearly dark but the track had been newly tarred so we walked up the hill even with MrsFish ready to stop. The greatest problem were the 3 young yobs on unregistered trail bikes hooning up and down the track, then pelting rocks at the glass power insulators. At GZ the container could not be found at first, but then we tried a few likely options and found it. A lot of work has gone into this cache, loved the idea. Thanks for an excellent cache.
Went today on my day off thinking that the middle of a weekday in such a location would be nice and quiet. Annoyingly not so!!
I took the advice of danwashere and rode my bike from the tafe end, but just as I got to GZ there was a ute parked right near where I wanted to stop!! So I kept pedaling on past GZ and encountered 3 groups of 4 schoolkids walking along the track!!
I pedaled until I found a nice place to stop, and after a few minutes the ute drove past me on the track, so I went back to search.
Using the clue made the search an easy one - I like the hide, a little obvious when combined with the clue - I should not have looked! but Great cache nonetheless!
Thanks for the cache!

As with other cachers, I parked the geo falcon near the tafe and started my trek up the path. Upon reaching GZ a quick find was made. Now for the easy walk back down the hill. Thanks Danwashere
Walked in from the TAFE and on the way saw a guy moving an extension ladder against a tree a long way from anywhere. What is the go there? I will watch to see if a hard cache is published... My only explanation. Thanks for the walk, managed just before the storms set in.
Was with a Noob who didn't believe that there was treasure to be found in the bush! I proved him wrong.
Also got covered in farmers friends while looking for it.

Parked down at tafe to walk into the cache after a nice walk soon found a well made hide signed the log and replace cache then made our way back to car Found with Team unibolt Thanks Danwashere for a good hide
Great hide. Almost missed it! Had to be careful because the was a muggle about! Signed the log without being to suspious! Forgot my pencil, so thanks danwashere for putting one in!
Nice walk into this one today, a decent stroll but the nice flat cycle/pedestrian path makes it easy, once at the GZ it was a quick find in a well done hide. Then the walk back, slight down hill grade this way made for a speedy return trip. TFTC.

Dropped by whilst out for a bike ride and placed a pencil inside. Need to come back and re-glue some of the magnets.
First cache for the year
My new year resolution is to find more caches
My goal is to get to 1000 caches by years end
Parked in ganney st
And walked
...... And walked
.............and walked
And then we walked a little further
My littlest boy stood on the cache and said
"I see something suspicious"
But we only briefly checked where he stood
And missed the cache
Only to come back to same object after
We sought a hint from SMS a friend as the mozzies were starting to eat us alive
And we were losing the light
Then found the cache
Clever hide
But bugger no pen or pencil
So I etched fattyacid best I could with a little piece of coal that I found
Then walked, walked etc etc back
Tftc.
Fattyacid and family
Anyhow

A pleasant walk along the track from the TAFE end.
No muggles around today. I wanted to leave a geocoin, but the magnets wouldn't hold the cache in place with coin enclosed.
Nice cache.

Well what do you do on a day off work and it is raining?
Find the cache that involves the longest walk and go out in the rain.
I parked at Glendale TAFE and took the umbrella and headed off for a walk.
Luckily it wasn't raining as I walked to GZ.
When I got to GZ I walked around in circles looking for the clue.
Rain has a way of blending these marks into their surroundings.
On about the third or fourth time I stood on it I spotted it.
As I was nearly back to the car is started pouring.
Well done Dan

Parked at the TAFE and just i was about to get out of the car, down came the rain. So the question was to go or not to go and go it was. The bonus was that i had the cycle way to myself as i made the walk to GZ. The GPS had me looking on the wrong side at first but then it snapped into gear and had me right at the cache. Luckily the rain stopped just in time to sign the log.
Nice hide and great cycle way.

Reperio at 1630. Arrived back from sunny Adelaide today and decided since this one was still unfound (or unlogged), that I should go for enjoy wander. This is a great cycleway, and was being enjoyed by plenty of people. Arrived at GZ to find plenty of little nooks and crannies, but soon stumbled upon a wonderfully hidden cache. This is one cycleway I wasn't aware of, so now I have a new area to explore.
Gratias danwashere. Nice walk, great hide.

I was heading off to the 11111111 event with enough time to grab a cache on the way and with this cache being not far from home and still unlogged I decided to do the walk. I initially when to the wrong side of the link road only to find the access there fenced off, so had to go to the other side and walk the stlightly extra distance. Being dark the path was empty so it was a quiet, pleasant walk.
Once at GZ I had to look around a bit before the GPS and torch settled on the nice hide which was opened to find an empty log and the *FTF* was mine.
I have walked this path before taking coords for a future cache, it's a great new path.
Thanks.
