We have been informed that the cache has been damaged by a lawn mower. Disabling the cache until we can get there to survey the situation, and decide the fate of the hide.
Yay for a cemetery cache!!!! Mrs Lost Wanderers favourite type ever. Found by Master I after we attended the event celebrating the Hoop Star series. Thanks for the hide.
I was in the area after the basket ball series but as this was so close and I like visiting old cemeteries it was obvious to me that I should make the search. Thank you for placing the cache that brought me here.
Out today to finally finish off this series before it gets archived. 8 left to go, with a couple of them being DNFs from previous trips. Happy to say it's all done and dusted, big thankyou to JA for the series and all the maintenance over the last 10 years! Unfortunately I'm unable to make it to the event due to work but hope it's a great day. Thanks again! Grabbed this one while in the area, I've attempted before but the grounds keeper was right near GZ. TFTC!
Woah driven past multiple times but never knew this cemetery was here. Thank you for bringing us to such a peaceful area!
Find number 12662 at 12:39:14pm on Tuesday the 7 November 2023I was up at Goughs Bay for the weekend and one of my tasks for the following few days were to finish off the basketball series, with only 10 to do it shouldn't take too long, I just need to pull the finger out and get up to Everton. The plan for today is to finish off the series and grab a few more targeted caches around the area.Quick find, now off to Wangaratta.**Thanks for placing this cache Harrowang**---If you are looking for some new caches to find, explore the nominees for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. The Nominations Geocaching List is available [here](https://coord.info/BMC8QYR)!Voting is now closed for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards and the awards event will be posted soon
Out with Geodog exploring the local area, what fantastic history lies beneath. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Staying an extra night at our shack in Punkah with middle child and Roxy dog whilst hubby and the two other kids went home today. We decided to tackle some HSS series and caches in Wang. The weather was sensational today with sun shining down.
We walked respectfully through the cemetery reading the headstones. Sad to find so many people who died young.
The cache was found easily enough in good condition. Roxy had a sit and ponder of the green pastures beyond.
Thank you for the cache here Harrowang

Driving home from Myrtleford to Shepparton today and trying to put smiley faces where I don't already have them between Myrtleford and Everton. I love cemetery caches. Nice hide TFTC

I never knew this little cemetery existed so here is another time caching has brought me to a new spot. TFTC Harrowang
I took the TB to move to a new home, possibly Tassie if my travel plans come to fruition

A new container in camo colours, log book and slightly different hiding place. All good to go again. Left an Air Force Tag TB for the next visitor.
Taking this one offline until we can replace it in its correct hiding place. Fortunately not destroyed by the caretaker mowing the grass! The container has been returned to us for safekeeping until we can visit the site.
Took the long way to this one, but got there in the end.
With the Mega festivities over it was time to head out of Wangaratta for a second day and hit the trails. With no others about we were on our own today although we did bump into others on our travels.
It was not so hot today and quite overcast. Ideal for caching. We drove to many, but also walked sections of the trails. We will return and ride much more when the weather is cooler.
By far the majority of caches were in good condition with most coordinates good although a few had us searching widely. We think some of our coords on caches without checkers however are incorrect. Back to the drawing board with those!
Our sincere thanks to the local cachers who have put in mammoth efforts in developing the copious number of caches in the area and maintaining them so effectively. Your efforts are appreciated.

Found with suss vulture during the aftermath of the amazing Wangaratta mega. Called in here whilst doing the Basketball and was not disappointed. This place has amazing views of all the mountains surrounding Everton. Quick find at GZ. TFTC Harrowang!
The visit to this cemetery has been a highlight of the day. The serene setting provides wonderful views for every single resting place, all of them facing East. We had a chat with the caretaker and secretary of 30 years who was able and willing to interrupt his mowing duty to tell us about the local dynasties buried here.
A truly beautiful place!

A short stop here today cache was easily found and is all good
After heading to tassie for almost 3 weeks, we detoured to Wangaratta for the Victorian Mega to catch up with some friends that we hadn’t seen for months if not years. We caught up with Freddo and e.gregory1 for the duration of the weekend, travelling around the local areas finding many of the caches that were on offer. To save room in the log books we signed as FEG or FEGC.
A wonderful area and nice to have a look around in somewhere I had only visited for 20mins before.
Thanks for the cache

Found on mega weekend. One of a bunch of caches found and logged. Cows were friendly.
e.Gregory1 and Freddo decided to travel to Wangaratta for Geocaching Victoria’s first 2022 Mega event. The attraction of GeoMaze icon was just too tempting. We packed the Land Cruiser for a bubble environment. There would be some public exposure but we would be keeping it minimal. Fortunately we did not bother with any warm clothes. Fortunately we packed some Bushmans with +20% DEET. There were caches to find and we found caches. We saw a lot of interesting places and met the occasional geocacher or two in the field.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

We are in Wangaratta this weekend for the Mega and decided today to do a few of the HSS caches. This was slight detour and a quick find in a quiet spot. Thanks to Harrowang for the cache.
Found while attending the 2022 Mega event at Wangaratta.
I drove across from Adelaide with Freddo. We took a week to get there and back as we meandered our way around northern Victoria, camping mostly along the river and generally avoiding contact with other people as far as possible to minimise covid risks.
While at the Mega we teamed up with gridge98 & Co. Most logs were signed FEGC (ie Freddo, e.gregory1 and gridge98 & Co).
We targeted some specific caches of interest, but also took the opportunity to find other random caches opportunistically as we were passing. Most of the puzzle caches were solved prior to leaving Adelaide in preparation for the trip.
Although we managed to find a lot of caches over the weekend, we really only barely scratched the surface, leaving plenty of excuses to return to the area another time. I'm sure I'll be back.
Thanks Harrowang for the cache.

Day 6 of my road trip and Day 2 of my Wangaratta MEGA event. Today I teamed up with Domsky and we spent the day trekking around the countryside. We spent a lot of time playing basketball and then headed up to Beechworth for a break and some lunch. Then it was back to the basketball and a few others as we passed by. What a great series of caches and some absolutely stunning countryside. Thank you so much for placing these here I have really enjoyed another day in this area.
It was a fun day and many laughs, it was also nice to have the variety in the caches. I am so overwhelmed by the views and the countryside feel around this area.
We signed all logs as domsky and chamad and replaced caches as we found them. There was a nice variety in the caches we found today, which just added to the fun of the day, thanks.

We did enjoy our detour along some of the quieter roads out of the Wangaratta area.
We often find trips to the cemetery quite interesting with various bits of history to explore.
We found ourselves amongst a variety of graves, both new and old.
Thanks Harrowang. We have had our name to the log here.

After travelling down from Canberra, FurfacesLL ladies and myself did our check in duties and then decided to head down to this smallish rail trail with the bikes to try get some finds up our sleeves. Grabbed a couple roadside ones along the way and then made our way to the most furtherest one to begin the ride. Was an enjoyable ride with some lovely scenic views along the way.
Gotta love an old cemetary at night time
Thanks for placing and mainaining this cache for us all to enjoy Harrowang

After leaving home a little later than we had planned, we finally arrived in Wangaratta and checked into our accommodation with Rapidlywild. Nice cabin that was a little toasty but we soon cooled that down with the air-conditioner while we unloaded the cars.
We then set off to do one of the trails that we had planned to attack also collecting others along our journey.
After loading the bikes back onto the car/ground support we headed to a few more before heading into town.
Thanks for hiding and maintaining Harrowang

Another day having a 'Ball' in this area today with RoddyC, hatsofff & grannysmith1947 (signing as Team 44 QLD) to continue on with the HSS series as well as picking up a few solved puzzles, multis, letterboxes & trads along the way.
Most caches were found in great condition and were easily enough to spot, we also appreciate all the time and effort that has gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our benefit, thank you to all the CO's.

Cemeteries are a favourite for Mrs Varmint so, in beautiful sunshine, we wandered around perusing the headstones, and locating the cache.
Thanks Harrowang.
Thanks Harrowang.
Out riding today with Hexograb, another day's bike riding for me as the holidays are nearing to the end. Beautiful sunny day too and great to be out getting fresh air riding. Found and signed, TFTC
Out today to finally make a start on the basketball GeoArt in the Beechworth area. The aim is to get as far as I can during the day.
An eerie place to visit at night. Fortunately a relatively quick find.
Thanks Harrowang for the cache.

A very cute little cemetery and a not so cute long drop experience here...
We made the very long drive last night to head up to crash with Gemma & co for a couple of nights. Today we (Team Clarmensma) headed out to complete the Basketball series and anything else we passed along the way. We headed to Myrtleford to break for lunch, complete some labs and thoroughly enjoyed spotting the mosaics all over town. A great day all round with lots of cache variety. TFTC

Nice to stretch the legs here. In Wangaratta for a few days of exploring with the kids. Becca85 and her kids came for a couple of days to reignite TeamClarmensma (GemmaSistema, Becca85, AdamSistema, LukeSistema, neisha07 and boo09). Today we hit up the basketball series and other random caches along the way. After solving most of these caches years ago it was nice to pick up just a few! We also headed to Myrtleford and I was blown away by the mosaics. So very magical. Thanks for the cache and the excuse to get out and explore.
I love a cemetery cache. Especially looking at the names that were popular in days gone by. Like Ethel and Maude. One chap here has 4 beers on his grave, Someone loves him a lot.
A long-overdue weekend camping trip with Jentrek1, focussing on the basketball art.
Day two. Riding the trails.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, Harrowang

What a well kept cemetery. I was out logging some more Jamin Appleford Basketball series caches when I needed to stop somewhere for lunch. Saw the sign, noticed a trad there, bingo! The only thing missing was my partner. Will attend as TeamOZCAT in the near future. Cache found in good condition
Not near graves, had family in the graveyard was nice to visit and find a cache. Please be respectful. 10/10
After being chased by plovers across the cemetery cache was soon in hand. Found with Jackez74 TFTC
A day of maintenance in the last of the autumn rain! It was interesting finding the bits and pieces that remained of the cache placement. Provided a new container, log book, pencil and appropriate swap. All good again and ready to be found and signed.
Found what is left of the cache. The owner may need to have a check and replace the container etc. Very interesting place, so much history.
We were at home working on solving the HSS series and we noticed this one. 'I thought we found this?' Mr ILookedThere said, 'Yeah we did' was Mrs ILT reply..
So, sorry for the belated log Harrowang, by about 4 months.
Nice little historic location. Geo Kid had a good laugh at the No Archers pun.

This afternoon I was doing what I'd originally planned to do yesterday afternoon. A mixture of cycling and drive-bys along the Great Alpine Road made for an enjoyable few hours caching. Cheers and TFTC
Called in to check this one this morning. Still a few pages left in the log book, so new visitors are welcome. We haven’t been up here for a while and noticed that a significant amount of pruning has happened near GZ. The cache was exposed, but luckily still in place. We found some natural items to help it blend in more. All good now.

Day 3
I’ve spend a couple of days in the Beechworth area. The surrounding nature was beautiful, plenty of hills and many animals.
I’ve solved many puzzles prior to my trip to Australia. This interesting geoart about the basketball was lots of fun to solve.
I’ve done a bike tour today along the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail and Great Alpine Road.
I was there on my way and looked for lots of caches.
Thank you for the nice series

With only a few weeks left of our 12 months in the Ovens Valley, we decided yet again to try to put that basket ball back in shape, locate a few more puzzles belonging to BettyBoo and chase a FTF and a few others by Harrowang.
We had wondered why on the other side of the road is Cemetary Lane, and yet the cemetary is on this side of the road. A bit confusing, but never the less, we headed up the un-named lane, parked and found the cache right on target. Thanks Harrowang.

First day of my leave and after doing family things in the morning (and braving the last of the Christmas shopping) I had an afternoon to do some caching (and listen to a few a CDs without complaints from the back). I am hoping to crack 1000 for the year (suspect I will just be short) and so thought I would try a few more of the HSS series and then get a few more down in that part of the world. Left the geohound at home as it would be mainly a park and grab day - and some of the roads I planned were likely busy.
The damage from the recent storms in the Everton/Tarwingee area was quite surprising - there were a lot of fences missing (but hopefully in s few weeks it will have greened up, and lots of full dams). In the end it was a Jamin Appleford, BettyBoo3747 and Harrowang day with a couple of others thrown. Ended up with 25 for the day (including 13 from 13 from the free throw line which must be up there with the best days in this series - starting to really take shape now) and 3DNFs - I suspect 2 are missing, the other might have needed a harder look.
Thanks to all the COs - all were in good working order unless specified. Off to Orange for Christmas - might get a few more but might need to see if I can sneak back this way on the 31st to achieve the target.
I left the court briefly as I love a cemetery cache. There are some impressive monuments here and nice to see it is still in use (being added to is probably not really appropriate!). Wandered to GZ and looked at a few spots before finding the hide - came is a bit out of place, but not certain how long ago the works were done that would have made it a better hide. Log signed and on my way.

Out for a day's caching with Rex [:X] and dalerious and all up 50 caches were found and there was 2 DNFs
We started the day with a FTF on a cache at Wangaratta at 11:45am and ended the day at a cache on the Old Hume Highway at 00:07 [|)]
The main targets for the day were the HSS series [^] as I'd started them a few years ago on a pushbike ride along the nearby rail trail while on a weekend trip to Vic with the geo'rents and geobro [^] and along the way, we were mindblown by the water damage from the flooding over the last couple of days
It was amazing to see how high and how wide the water had spread!
Amazingly too, the CO of the HSS series had already been out and done some replacement maintenance on some of the caches that had been swept away! [^][^]
We found several other geocaches [^] and enjoyed some great views , some good caches and a fantastic day out [^]
As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

Keen to enjoy a bit of sunshine after the "big wet", locus cache and I decided on a road trip to find out what of the HSSeries had survived the recent flooding.
Of coarse we couldn't just sail past a neat little Harrowang cache though could we.
It was great to see a cache with nearly as much history attached to it as its surrounding location. [^]
Cache and contents found in good dry condition. [8)]

it was nice to attempt a cache where Purpledreamer was the FTF. The place was deserted and with no archers to be seen, we had a quick, easy find.
Recently we have been camping in an area where there is no phone reception, so today is catch up on logging day. Each cache we have found over the last few days had our name noted on the log and each was replaced as it had been found. Our apologies for the mostly generic log, but sometimes specific comments have been added.
Thank you to Harrowang for placing this cache, which was easily and quickly found.

Quick park n grab. #21 of our Sunday arvo planetary pursuit mission. We've given it a solid crack & think we've fallen short...just. Enjoyed the challenge. The boys grabbed this one while the girls picked up a nearby puzzle. Tftc
Very peaceful here..
On our way home. Loving these caches taking us places you would think were there.

Everton Day 3
After spending the majority of the day in Wangaratta, we returned to the caravan only to find it so hot. We decide the airconditioning in the car was so much better so we took a return trip to Beechworth to finish of the day. Tomorrow we leave this picturesque town behind.
What a small cemetry, looking at some of the graves you can tell there is many loved people buried here.
Thanks for placing this cache Harrowang

sushilord and Doctor Owl were on a mission to find caches in deepest darkest Victoria with the main aim of visiting challenge caches and working on requirements for a number of challenge caches in South Australia and Victoria. During the trip there were laughs, tears, fractious frustrations and new equipment tested with some technology failures. Many miles were covered and boxes opened along the way.
I was a bit slow here and Dr Owl had to explain the cache name to me. (I blame the slowness on the long day and too many caches.)
Thanks for the cache Harrowang.

Day 3 of Owl and Sushilord's tri-state epic adventure and today's target was more altitude and mysteries, both to achieve old and new challenges. Of course, there needed to be some relief from this and it was nice to detour to an interesting cemetery where they played 'which tree?' Must come back and do the whole trail one day.
Day 1 of 3 in the Beechworth area with Trailstevo tackling the HSS series and other in the area. Had a tough start with a few dnfs straight of the bat but we got going eventually. We were on bikes an the trail not as flat as we would have liked. Some excellent hides along the trails and country roads a great variety, never quite sure what we are to look for next.such a huge effort creating the Geoart, the puzzles and ongoing maintenance. Thanks to all the CO’s and special thanks to Jamin. TFTC
Catching up on some late logs while in the area grabbing a few caches for a joint birthday caching weekend with Happy Feet and omegaman1971 and this was one we found in our travels. As we were passing the area while grabbing a few caches of the HSS series and also along the rail trail we passed this cache and l noticed l hadn't logged it from our last visit. After a quick detour and check of the logbook to confirm my last visit we continued back on our way with plenty of laughter and banter...mostly directed at me! Thanks Harrowang for the hide.
Again, another interesting spot we would have never stopped at if not for caching. TFTC

Today I headed out on a road trip, up to the Mount Buffalo area and the HVPT, this one was along the way.
This was a short detour off the main road, as I was parking, the local came driving down the drive way to check the letter box and went back up to the house again, I went for a stroll to GZ, once there I was able to make a quick find.
**Thanks to Harrowang for placing this cache.**

We saw a huge Hare running through the grass on our way in here.
A pleasant detour on our way home, saw us in this special place looking for a cache, which was soon located.
Thanks Harrowang for bringing us here and this placement.

A quick and easy find as we cache our way through the area today with mcsee&petal. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Very cool cemetery! We've been doing the HSS caches and all the local road names can be seen reflected in here.
