Unfortunately it was still to windy and dangerous to attempt Mt Cameron so I had to admit defeat (really wanted the cache up there for my Tassie DT rating) so decided to head up the coast to Petal Point and Cape Portland for a few caches before attempting to move on from Gladstone (so many road closures up here ). Still strong buffeting winds today but no rain.We did this one second and luckily found and replaced the cache and got back along the beach before a rain shower arrived just as we headed back up the steps, epic timing . Well we've made it this far from D'port this morning after an early and very frosty start. Coffees in Georgetown, and lunch not far from this cache, which I walked to with cupof tea in hand. Didn't spill a drop and found cache with very accurate co-ords. All in good nick here, but it always amazes me how difficult people seem to find it putting a log back in a bag and sealing it properly. Rant over ! Thankyou for these caches in a far flung part of the state Tassie Trekkers.. We're not going to get them all this time, 'cos its winter and we're running out of daylight, and a way to go to get to camp at St. Helens.
This coastline changes from one little bay to the next. The soft, white sands, the ragged, rocky points, low growing shrubs to a forest of ghostly looking trees. I absolutely love this wild coastline and to find some caches hidden along it is a bonus.TFTC Tassie TrekkersKeep smiling
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Stopped off here and met a bird field researcher, who was checking the effects of the wind turbines on sea eagles and other birds. She was very interested in what we were also doing. Made our way to GZ and made an easy enough find. Thanks Tassie Trekkers for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Just a short walk from the parking area after returning from the cache Muscle Down.Accurate coords and hint enabled a quick find with the cache in exc condition. Many tftc Tassie Trekkers....a lovely area thoroughly enjoyed...cheers ST.
A small little walk from the nicest beach area! Havent been here before and took advantage of today partner wanting to fish myself happy to go for a walk and find a cache! Tftc such a nice place.
A day caching around the north east coast. Finding and hiding caches! Some beautiful places today including some places I hadnt been before that didnt have caches!!!Thats to all the cache hiders. Robtas, cached and Tassie trekkers in particular Wow. What a place. Thank you for bringing me here
Hi Tassie Trekkers, this was a beauty too. Amazed at the size of the wind turbines as we wandered along the road. Heading to GZ we were surprised at the number of blue bottles washed up on the sand. Lovely little wander to GZ where we found a nice dry cache and hide intact. We decided as a group not to go to Muscle Down as time was against us, I mean we had to make it to Pub in The Paddock for tea, priorities!
wow what a stunning little beach. unfortunately we chose not to enjoy the water here today after spotting a few blue bottles washing in cache was an easy find and everything in excellent dry condition.
Could not find without putting myself in danger. Will look again when there are better conditions.
It was the start of my last week of my Tassie road trip, so it was time to head South to explore some more of this beautiful place.
After an early breakfast I came up here for the 2 caches and a morning swim. I love the clear blue water down here and the quiet beaches!
Thanks for the cache.

What a special little hidden beach! We were lucky to have this beach all to ourselves & even though we arrived late in the day there was only one set of footprints in the sand.
We enjoyed the leisurely stroll along the beach & loved the rock hopping. This is Mrs Coders return to caching after fracturing vertebrae almost 6 months ago, so while the access was quite easy it was still an accomplishment.
This cache was easily found & in good condition. Thank you for bringing us here. It’s so lovely we have decided to stop the night & enjoy a bit of bird watching.

After getting back from Muscle Down we got back in the car, check out next cache and realized we need to get out again, bead back down the stairs and go off in the other direction -oops
We covered the beach distance quickly then along the rocks and up the bank to GZ. The cache was very well hidden and it took a minute or two to find it. SSR came up with it!
Thanks Tassie Trekkers

At GZ it took us a while but we got there in the end, thanks for the cache.
This weekend was meant to be a quick trip to the big island but with Gladys ruining that chance for everyone we came up with another plan and after a quick chat that Goose had never been to Musselroe Bay and i was more than happy to try and clean up the Northeast corner that is more than a days drive from home
Thanks for the cache.

I used to come here for 2 weeks every summer and stay at our shack around the corner from this cache, I have walked along these rocks many times but I was not caching then, today we made the nice walk to GZ and soon found the cache nicely tucked away.
Today JLrockstar needed to clock up some hours for his L2s before going into lockdown, what better way than to go along and get a few caches. Overall 7 hours driving completed and 7 finds for the day.

The location kept changing as we were looking, and we had no service for clues
Found at 11.30am. A day trip from Bridport to see this part of NE Tasmania. What a gorgeous beach and walk. Enjoyed this one, was windy - not really a surprise

A lovely walk along the smashing beach to GZ, fortunately it was the very first place I looked. All good with the cache. TFTC Tassie Trekkers
Staying in Bridport for a few days so that we can explore this part of Tassie, which we haven’t been to before. We won’t be over to get all the caches we want to this time due to time and tide!!! But we are discovering some really interesting places!! We were debating whether Muscle Down was doable due to the tide still quite high and 2 DNF’s on it so we decided to get this one first! This one took us awhile to find but got there in the end. It was where we first searched, think we concentrated on under large rocks than where we found it!! A big relief when we found it. We were a bit confused with the names in the log book! TheGrouchOscar isn’t in the log book but S_38 is??!!! Bit different to what is online. Having taken so long on this one we decided, reluctantly not to go for Muscle Down! Good excuse to come back.

Found the spot and what the clue described but no cache anywhere to be seen. May need to check up on this one.
Quick easy find with VanCatMeow. Lovely beaches along here. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t ideal today to really take full advantage. Thanks for bringing us here Tassie Trekkers
Wow, Wow, Wow I cannot remember ever being and Mrs G has not. Apart from a family of 4 on the beach on the other side of the walkway fishing we were hear all alone. The whole area was magnificent, it makes you want to celebrate being a Tasmanian with locations like the North East. Thanks Tassie Trekkers, without your cache we would never have come to this part of the state. We give this a fav point for the following reasons. Beautiful location, thoughtful and hint inspired hide. What could be better.
Another great Tassie spot.
Lovely day here today with no wind.

And a big thanks for the new steps down to the beach.

Even though we had a good look around the area and a bit further, we didn't find it. However we are going to go back some other time and try again when the weather is a bit better.
Found this morning after a drive from petal point. Finally my legs are up to rock hopping. Thanks tassie treckers.
Would rate this beach as one of the best in Australia, Tassies own little secret bit of paradise tucked away in the northeast corner. Little bit windy today, but still very beautiful. Cache was an easy find whilst admiring the views.

Travelling around Australia, from our home in WA.
Another lovely day with sunshine! Tasmania is certainly throwing out the welcome sunshine this week.
Today we headed out towards the coast. Beautiful day.
Mr Felix made the walk to Muscle Down, whilst Mrs Felix walked to this cache. Such a beautiful coastline.
Thanks so much for placing this Geocache.

Raging north westerly today. Good to get some shelter on the beach. A quick find by my trainee cacher mate. TFTC
I was going to do this cache last night but as it was getting close to 10pm, i decided to come back during daylight.
A few photos were taken and a quick walk down the beach. Had the cache in hand fairly quickly and logged.
Thanks for the awesome view and the cache!

Rather disappointed that we ran out of time and unable to do the others in the area. Oh well, any excuse for another trip back up here. A nice hide in a great place. TFTC.
Located this cache on our way back from finding Muscle Down. Found with Pax, Ashton and Karina.
This was our last cache for the day. Although we were sad not to have time to complete its downtown partner, we are pleased to have a reason to return to a lovely area. Enjoyed the stroll along the beach, and then heded back west to find accommodation for the night, as we didnt have a house on ourmbacks. Tnlnsl TFTC
Went for a drive from Ansons Bay to check out the new wind farm with the geokids. Called into this lovely beach for a fish. No fish but found the cache. Beautiful spot. TFTC
#151 - 15:25; Fifth of 12 on the far north east run. Had to drive down the road to get signal to down load data and return to log the last of the caches at Little Musselroe Bay. TFTC
After parking in the car park, we enjoyed a short, pleasant walk along the white sand and then did a little rock hopping to get to GZ. Once there a quick find was made and, like the previous caches in the area, the log book was empty. So, our third FTF for the day at 10:15am. TFTC Tassie Trekkers
