Logs
Sorry for the very late lost ltg. In Yarra Glen staying with family, took the opportunity to grab a few caches while heading home. Thanks for the quick find dcr.
One or more of the following has occurred:
No response from the cache owner.
No cache to find or log to sign.
It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.
As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to also prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the next 28 days, just contact a reviewer (by email), and assuming it still meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.
Should you wish to replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Did not find for second time. Found an empty zip lock bag in an alcove they may have been a good hiding spot so wondering if it has been muggled.
Lots of natural camo at GZ may have deceived us, we searched and searched but could not find the cache. But Miss 9 "caught" a damsel fly on a stick so she was happy at least! We'll be back to try again another day.
Thanks for a nice little cache. The geodog found this one as she jumped on the camo revelling the cache location. Thanks PIPPAESP. Dropped of TB
Great work scouts a lovely location, I had to keep an eye out for muggles on such a nice day!
Out for a drive this morning before the rain set in. A nice walk along the park which was quite busy this morning. Cheers for the hide.
Nice walk, think we came in the ong way, but as we're heading further north for 'just one more' it worked out ok in the end
Thanks dcr, loved all those post and rail remnants, wouldn't they make good fire wood!

A nice quick find once we waited for the muggle and his dog to pass. Thanks for the cache in what looks like a great little park.
A nice easy walk and a quick find this afternoon. Besides a four legged muggle and its owner we had this lovely little park to ourselves. TFTC.
Swapped pirate gold for a giant marble. First trip out to Hurtsbridge and an interesting wetland to visit.
Finally can tick off all hurstbridge caches. This was our third time looking for this one and it really wasn't that hard. Well done cubs!
Playing tennis nearby walked over between sets. And repeated when team mate wanted to try geocaching.
Bringing a Scout friend along was a great way to test his geosenses. When I made a small mark in the ground to indicate GZ and said "it's within 5 metres", he promptly moved some 14 metres away to check out a nearby suspect. I acted on a hunch as my own geosenses were particularly keen today, and found it about three metres away from my mark (which, by the way, is now safely covered up). A quick shout of "Oi! I said FIVE metres!" later, and we were both checking out the cache. Took nothing, but left a few little trinkets. TFTC!
When we arrived in the car park we got out of the car there was a family nearby having a barbie and it smelled delicious, we felt like joining them as it was getting near dinner time but we went on to search for this cache, which was quickly found with good co-ords. TNLNSL.

Simple find close to the carpark. Nice location to take the family for a picnic or walk. TFTC.

I just checked the map for caches close to home and this one sparked the memory: I remember finding it on a very sunny day but I can't recall the date. So the 17/2/2013 is more of an approximate.
I drove up to the cache from the other side - parked the car and had a nice stroll. There weren't barely any muggles so I could sign the log without any problems
[green]Dankeschön & Cheers

Ahh..at last.
This was the type of cache I'd been looking for all day. Easy to find, nice place to visit and worth the effort.
Cache is in excellent condition. TNLNSL. Thank you to the Mowgli Cubs for a wonderful (and newbie friendly) cache.
Good job and well done [:8]

Out and about today exploring Eltham and beyond. Stopped for a picnic in the park. Fairly quiet except for a few dog walkers. Waited for a break in the canine traffic then went for the cache. Swapped a Salvation Army key ring for a wooden rattle. TFTC DDR.
With 38C forecast, any caching needed to be done early today. As noted in earlier logs, GZ comes up in open territory so you need to look around for this one. I found it without too much trouble mainly because it was covered very well. Signed the log, returned the cache and gave it a bit more cover.
On reflection, that may not have been such a good idea because it is going to make it a whole lot harder for anyone else to find ... . I have to go back to Hurstbridge this afternoon so I grab some updated coordinates then.
*****
Now several hours later and very hot but I have been back and the coordinates above should put you closer to the cache .

Staying in Diamond Creek for a week I headed for this cache as it was one of the closest to where I was staying I knew the area as I used to go to Hurstbridge High School back in the day and we used to do various sports around here
We took a bit of a walk around the park before finding the cache, which took some time to find I should have read the logs before heading out, although it was obvious that the co-ords were a bit iffy as they had me in the cleared area I checked everywhere in a 15m radius before looking in the last possible spot. Turns out it was housing the prize
A great spot for a cache dcr, thanks Cache is in good condition and well stocked.

Found with nirgalagrin... now I have my own account.

A pair of ducks chose the moment we passed to saunter across from the pond across our path.
Reading the logs as we walked down from the carpark, I made the appropriate adjustment to my bearing for an easy discovery. The cache, with a good selection of swaps inside, was in view when we arrived, less so when we left.

On another epic cache run today with caching buddy ahomburg. We had run this route before which is Yarra Glen then west towards South Morang and everywhere else in between. A good numbers today with 30 found in total and a few DNFs. An awesome day with a cool start and the forecast rain didn't eventuate so it was a rather nice sunny day at times.[^]
The previous logs where quite helpful in narrowing the grid search for this one. Can confirm that the distance of 10m is correct. A nice size cache which is still in good condition. Left blue gem stone. TFTC dcr

Find # 2106
On our normal weekend caching run, SedgwickDave and I were first heading towards Yarra Glen, then doing a bit of a loop via Christmas Hills, Kangaroo Ground, Hurstbridge, Yan Yean, Mernda, Plenty and South Morang. It was a cool morning, but most of the afternoon was beautiful and sunny.
We walked in from the main road and over the bridge towards GZ. There was nobody about today, so lots of opportunity to search. Eventually found it, although was about 10 metres from where our GPSr was telling us.
Thanks to dcr for the cache. Nice container, TNLN.

Co-ords were about 10 metres out and would not have found it without other loggers extra co-ords /info
So thanks to the helpful loggers.
So thanks to the helpful loggers.
We spent a lot more time searching for this than seemed reasonable. We should have taken much more notice of previous logs which said the co-ordinates were out by about ten metres. TFTC
In Hurstbridge to set a cache, so of course I had to collect this one. I went the long way round to get to GZ, but once I got there, I found the cache quite easily. Thanks cubs!!! (From a Girl Guide leader!!)
Got a bit sidetracked and ended up in Hurstbridge so thought we may as well grab a quick cache while we were here. The ground was a bit soggy after all the rain and the GPS was jumping around but we soon had the cache in hand. Cache in good condition and nicely hidden.
#1143 Heading north to Echuca for the 100 year Reunion of the High School and picking up a few caches along the way. No luck at posted co-ords but geowife, who generally doesn't the GPS and starts some metres away, eventually found the prize 10m away. Thanks dcr.
Wa s sifting through a whole lot of bark before realising I was barking up the wrong tree! Found in the company of my two dogs colin and fonzie. Tnln tftc!
There were a few people using the park as we walked in, and someone reading a book on the grass in sight of GZ, but some stealth covered that. I guess thats the norm on a warm saturday afternoon. First we tried the published co-ords but it seemed unlikely. Then we tried the go-ords written in another log and the cache was quickly located. So, for all future cahers, try the other location and bob's your uncle (is he?) TFTC
I made a bit of a deviation to the day's caching to get this one. The trees were playing with the GPS a little but the hide soon became obvious. To a cacher that is. Thanks dcr for putting a cache here.
My gps was a bit out, but a quick search of the wider area turned up a cache. Thanks.
Found @14:17 on a caching drive between Kinglake & Hurstbridge. Quick, easy find in a nice park - took nothing, left behind a knitting nancy.

Some 5m offset in the coordinates, I reckon. Otherwise all ok on this warm day. First to find this box for this new year. Cheers!
Things were quiet so a good opportunity to find a few caches. This was notionally closest so we drove as close as possible that gave us a short walk in the heat. The iPhone was a bit cranky and wouldn't put us closer than 8 m but we didn't like the water so this was the logical spot where we found the cache at 3:15. Dropped in a few Xmas trinkets. Thanks cubs
Easy find.
Just passing through, thought we would drop in.
As per previous finder : Co-ordinates are a bit off by 10m but logic prevailed and the cache was soon in hand.
We re-hid it a bit better than we found it.

Took me a little while to switch from GPS to instinct - the coordinates for me seemed several metres off - but the soon made the find in a spot the was calling out to me to investigate. TFTC
This was my last find on the way home from today's bushwalk. As I was approaching GZ, there seemed to be a familiar looking group heading in the opposite direction. I asked them if they'd found the cache and sure enough it was 80degrees . We had a good laugh and I accompanied them for a bit of an (unsuccessful) frog hunt.
After a bit more of a chat, they gave me landau351's revised coordinates (S 37° 38.130 E 145° 11.629), which proved to be a lot more accurate, and I soon had the stash in hand at 19:00 about 9 metres away from where the coordinates on the cache listing were showing.
TNLNSL, although our 'pleased to meet you' TB had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks dcr.
PS: I didn't actually notice the Mischief's Energy Geocoin in the cache.

Found at 6.30pm Headed this way tonight as this was one of the closest yet to find. Parked close by and walked to GZ - took a few minutes to spot the possible GZ -but agree that Landau351 's co-ords are more accurate. Headed back towards the car when who should we run into but EuDes. He came for a walk to see if we could spot a wayward frog but no joy - then after a short conversation he headed of towards the cache and we headed homeward. TFTC - another must cache day filled in.
Found at 1735. On the way down to Diamond Creek to pick up dinner! Called ahead to order then took a little detour to pick this one up!! Great hide - quick find!!

9/11/2011 00:01 {*FTF*} This breaks the drought of no ftf's for quite awhile. When this came up I told EagleEye it was available and he quickly got ready. We left in the car as he set up the car GPS. AT the closest car park we set off for a very easy walk through a park area. At GZ we searched about for a bit until Michael found the cache about 10-11m from GZ. A nice large cache awaited us. Great first effort guys. I hope this cache is safe during floods as it looks like it might be a flood plain here. TFTC dcr SL
