Unfortunately after flooding this cache appears to have been washed away. I'm archiving the cache as I haven't received any reply from Mamakuman when I attempted to contact him.
I've made this cache temporarily unavailable. I'll attempt to get over there next weekend and check on it before I hit Christophers Wet Feet for a confirmation it needs archiving.
Spent an hour and a half looking for this cache without finding it. On my return to home and reading the previous three logs, I now suspect that it may have gone missing. Last seen 15 months ago. It would be great if some one that has found the cache before, could re-visit the cache and confirm that it is still there.
The walk is well worth it anyway.
Cheers

Spent ages looking for this cache in all likely spots. GPS had me within 10m so looked under around and through all spots on both sides of the track. No luck. Must be too long since I went caching. Pity the old water wheel isn't still working. Maybe I'll try again another day.
What a amazing area...
The disapointment of not finding the cache was far outweighed by the scenery.
Spent about an hour in the general area and could not find it anywhere.
We came in from the upstream end of the track, the walk was great, the spring one of the nicest areas we have seen in all our travels.
This will always be a wonderful memory, the photos we took will be screensavers for a long time.
Note to the cache owner: We would be really nice if you could mail us with the actual location, We are leaving beautifull NZ and are curious to know just how far out we were.
Thanks for taking us to a location we would never have even thought to visit.

Had a good walk and loved the clear stream but couldn't find the cache. Our third failure in 24 hours starting to get a complex only to find Hunua Falls had been archived. Oh well that was a good walk too!!
Can't understand where it could be....
Can't understand where it could be....
My second attempt at this one, after I failed to find it last December.
This time I had the whole family for company. We started from the up-stream end of the track (follow Leslie Road from the main road for a few kilometres) as that was closer to the cache. And I also hadn't seen that part of the walkway either...
It was a pleasant walk and Sean found the cache almost as soon as we arrived. I must have stomped all around it last time I was there! Sean took the Minnesota pencil and we left a Snoopy toy.
And then the real saga began...
On the spur of the moment, the rest of the family decided to continue downstream and do the full 4.7km walk, so I headed back to the car and drove back down to the main road to meet them at the other end of the track. Shortly after arriving at the other end, a shower of rain arrived so I grabbed a couple of umbrellas and headed up the track to meet them - expecting them to only be a few minutes away by that time. Some time later... I reached the midpoint of the track and still hadn't found my whanau. At that point I met a group who were doing the round trip and were now travelling downstream. We'd spoken to them earlier at the cache when they were still heading upstream. They hadn't seen my family since then either - oops! Was getting into a mild panic at this stage, thinking about abductions, bodies in the river and so on. Headed back to the car again at high speed and finally found the missing three waiting for me there. They had managed (don't ask me how!) to wander off the track, away from the stream, and then go cross country through the diary farms until they finally hit the main road towards Putaruru, which they followed back to the carpark. Obviously I should have let them take the etrex!
Thanks
Clive

First time in this area. Great walk but for the 28 Electric Fences, fences etc to climb over,
River in flood but still very clear,
Had to wait about 10 min for family to move on from the cache site, the boys were fishing with a small net. I Stayed dry. Took about 2 hours return for the walk. Left Robo-rat from Arapuni Power and took the fancy eraser,

I've never seen such a clear stream running through farm land! No wonder they bottle it here (as 'Pump').

Yes its definetly still here, stood on it making it easy to find, I have added some co-ordinates of my own (taking six marks and averaging with good signal strength).
Lovely day for a walk and certainly a lovely spot to walk. Cheers M. Again another good trout stream in the waikato.
Took and left nil.

Was really looking forward to looking for this one after having driven past the area many times previously.
It was a nice hot afternoon and a beatiful walk. The only problem was I couldn't find the cache! Second failure of the day, and both rated just one star for difficulty!
The grass was very long so that didn't help. I did find the old water wheel. How far away was I?! Searched quite a distance either side of that up and down the stream. Didn't go above the path though because I assumed the warning about falling in was a clue that it was near the water. Maybe just a red herring dressed up as a clue!!
Anyway, took a quick dip afterwards just downstream to lower my blood pressure and then headed back to the car, leaving it for another day...

Walked through the cowpies and across the stiles, past several groups of trout fishermen on a blue skyed day. Wonderful fun. Found cache without too much difficulty. Took snickers bar and Tonga $2 and left $1NZ and Minnesota souvenier pencil. Thanks for the nice walk. Yulbehappy, from Minnesota/USA
Beautiful day for a wander beside an amazing river.A good walk and no problem finding the cache, quite a busy place. Left some foreign $ and took the snickers. Hot enough for a dip but after feeling the temperature (11 degree's) decided against it! Brilliant to drink though[^].
This one was a great walk, really enjoyed it. The water was so clear it was really amazing!![^] Paddled our feet on the way back - which was a chilly experience. Found the cache no problems, and replaced two Chupa Chups with a couple of Snicker bars.
Got invited by friends (thank you B.) First one we had visited - good fun Second time we had done this walk but more enjoyable this time without the fields of cows and hubby trying to catch a trout every five minutes! Found the cache but someone (?) decided to splash his face and fell between the rocks and got a bit wet - lucky only his pride got hurt! Took a chuba thingy and left a golf ball.
A pleasant walk through farmland. A nice waterhole close to the carpark. Don't be to worried about falling into the water when locating this cache, it isn't that bad. Took the Mentos Mints and left 3 Chuba Chups.
