Travelling into Toodyay for IGD 24. Stopping to collect smileys on the way. Enjoy wandering around these places... it's that unhealthy? No problem with this cache. TFTC
Took us a little bit to get the hang of it being our first LKA find but loved it!
Great fun hide! Out with the whole family @bushcooks @piknik15 @littlemisschatterbox @hopeyloulou
A nice straightforward find here today. After the day out, a few local caches on the way out of town. Thanks for the cache.
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT then over the top of WA and down to Perth.Interesting detours to Thursday Island, Mabuiag Island, Mornington Island, Doomadgee, Hells Gate, Nhulunbuy, Wadeye, Litchfield National Park, Wyndham, the Gibb River Road, Monkey Mia, Meekatharra, Wiluna, Laverton, Warburton, Kargoorlie, Westonia & Goomalling.TFTC. Nice multi with a close by GZ.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 69 - Swan Valley Perth to Goomalling via Toodjay and Calingiri. After a great time being stationary around Perth it was time to move on. I fund plenty of caches along the way and did a couple of nice Labs in Toodjay before lining up for a very nice morning tea in the bakery. I retired to the Goomalling pub for the afternoon and was joined by Sacada and Aquillus for dinner. we made plans for a day of series caching for the next day before a very cold night. After arriving and setting up at the Goomalling caravan park, I headed out for a visit to the four caches just outside of town. After being greeted by a small dog who was being walked, I wandered around visiting the sites required to gather the multitude of numbers. With this in hand and some maths I was off to GZ and soon saw the cache and signed the log. Time to finish caching for the day. Thanks for the cache WanderingAus48244.15 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2019 March ROT Advanced Cipher Key A#394**Albida**

Heading up to Koorda for the GIFF event and happy to grab a smiley here . Some logs signed as N2OThis is my 11915find.Thankyou WanderingAus for placing and maintaining this cache
Caching with Team Barritts on the Koorda GIFF weekend getaway. Thanks to all the CO's for placing & maintaining their hides and bringing us to some fantastic new spots!
Heading out to the Koorda GIFF event with BJA3 for the weekend. Cache found in good condition with no issues. Thanks for placing this hide for us and others to enjoy finding!
Slowly getting back to finding some more caches since our move to Dowerin. Been here several times to do a spot of birdwatching, thought it was about time to find and log this one. TFTCH
Finding a number of multi’s on the way home today. We always seem to be coming through too late to take the time to find them. Today we are on the opposite heading home, and coming through these towns early in the day. Gathered the required information, and made a nice find for the final. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Found on a trip to the west from South Australia., visiting friends and relatives, checking out the sites and finding caches of interest along the way.
The weather has been really good since I headed north of Perth. There has been no rain and the winds haven’t been too bad. Makes a welcome change from the previous 3 weeks when I was constantly beating my way into strong winds and it rained almost every night! I hope it holds out for the next couple of weeks as I head south end east on my way home.
The required information was gathered at the waypoints and final coordinates determined. The cache was found a short distance away at good coordinates and is in good condition.
Thanks WanderingAus for the cache.

Haven’t found yet going home to review what notes I took and going to try again on another day
What. A 6km walk to the final. Better check those figures. That's much better. Thanks for making the effort. A great way to fill in part of the morning
Found a few weeks ago on my way home from Mukinbudin just getting around to logging now. Thanks
Found it. TFTC WanderingAus. Quick find here today after getting the figures. Another LKA completed. Replaced as found.
Out in the Wheatbelt again for the second consecutive weekend. This weekend the plan was to attack a number of towns in the North Eastern Wheatbelt and attend the FOTT event in Minnivale. It was a terrific weekend. Thank you to all the COs involved in providing entertainment this weekend.
Another pit stop on the way into Goomalling. Had to wait out some time at the final cache for someone that pulled up right where the final was. Eventually they left and I moved in. Cheers WanderingAus!

I feel like a broken record saying how much I enjoy LKAs this is my 3rd in a week. Thanks WanAus208 for putting this together. Cache was found in good condition, signed and replaced. Thanks for adding a smiley to my day
Hi WanderingAus, found “WanAus 208 - LKA Goomaling” today on the way out to get some wheatbelt LGA caches. Three little lizards living on the cache container!! TFTC from Probsty
Probsty and I hatched a plan to knock off the northern wheat belt LGA’s after signing the Regional Cacher Challenge in Kulin.
A cool end of wintery day. Last time I was here a service was on, so I respectfully come back another day.

WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, replaced the water damaged Finders Cards, and replaced the missing pen and pencils.
My gpsr was showing a distance error of about 15 metres, so I took a new Waypoint. When I went to update the coords I found my new coords were the same as the existing coords - weird.

The area kept the muggle partner interested while I solved the multi... nice cool day for a drive in the country.
Solved this multi before we arrived so just a case of driving in and hoping our GZ calculations were correct. A couple of people wandering around the cemetery at the time so Mr adinache tried to act inconspicuous while he searched GZ area. Soon had the cache signed before heading off to continue our trip. Thank heavens we found this today ..though a large deviation.Lpvelt cemetery too. Does the heart of a old genie glad.
After doing the maths twice, a likely spot was decided on and a quick find made.

This weekend has been some time in the planning and we were heading up this way to drive the Wheatbelt Way Trail and collect geocaches along the route. We also had GCA caches, Waymarks and Sighters on the radar which should break up the trip nicely. We had no set plans for accommodation and we decided that we would see where we ended up each day to set up camp. This cache was one that we targeted on our mini adventure. Cheers and TFTC.
G’day there WanderingAus, I was in this area today and found your cache WanAus 208 - LKA Goomaling GC37CGY. I added my name to the log book at 8:08 am on 28 September 2019. A huge thanks to you for placing this cache here for us (and others) to find!
This cache find brings our total find count to 10957. Woohoo!!

We headed out into the country to get away from the weather and collect a few smilies, an 800km return trip which took us to some beautiful and amazing places, we worked out our GZ here and are happy to say we came up trumps here and drove away with a smilie TFTC
Thank you! Being a public holiday, I took the opportunity to take a road trip to Dalwallinu for caches, LGAs and clues.
I spent way to much time on this one. But I got there in the end. Just as I arrived an older gentleman did too. Probably wondering why I was wandering around. We had a bit of a chat about the cold and rainy day, and he told me about which areas had started cropping and which would be starting soon.
Eventually I had all the clues, but I hadn't written them in the right order. Then I couldn't see to get the right numbers - at one point I had a GZ 15 km away. I eventually got it sorted but then suffered from cache blindness for longer than was appropriate. Log is a little wet, but everything else is fine.

Thanks for taking me here. Looking up at the stars I feel they are brighter and more vast than at home.
Took a while to negotiate sites as my phone screen was hard to read with my transitions and the wind was blowing a gale but got all info and headed back to car to work out coords. Glad there was only a short walk to cache. Log waterlogged but able to sign. Tftc another LKA crossed off.
Tyfc. Maintenance required. Cache was found waterlogged. NB monster mosquitoes lurking in this area.
Thanks for bringing us here we always enjoy a walk up and down an interesting Cemetery.tftc
Day 73 of our 366 day straight challenge. Homeward bound from a weekend at Wyalkatchem so breaking up the drive with some caches. As you do
Stopped in Goomalling to do this LKA and have some lunch. After getting the required information we set off to find the cache. Mr 14 found this one lying out in the open so we have replaced where we are pretty sure it should have been. Log book was pretty wet, we got our name on there but it should be dried out. Clue noted and cache replaced as found. TFTC. Lest we forget.

Out for a couple of days caching, with the Geoson in the northern wheatbelt. Hopefully knocking off a few more lga's off the list.
Despite the weather, some fantastic finds and a few dnf's were had.
A big thanks to all the co's for placing and maintaining these hide. Great work showing off some real gems of the wheatbelt.

Got all the information back in September but was foiled at that time. Nobody around today to stop me find and sign the new logbook. Parked right next to it, as it happens, and didn't even need the GPS. Thank you WanderingAus; your cache is still in mint condition.
WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, and replaced the container in a nearby spot with a drab camo'd 500 Ml round screw-top container, with log book, finders cards, two pencils, a pencil sharpener, and a few swaps.
Day 16 of our Adventure to the northern Goldfields and now in the Wheatbelt. Today we said goodbye to our neigh-bours on the farm at Wyalkatchem and heading West.
Stopped here to add another LKA to the found list. Quick find by megawat60 once I did the maths. Thanks for this LKA WanAus.

Nice joint effort and find.
Thanks for the smiley WanderingAus

Completed the data gathering and maths with little trouble (council workers left just after I arrived.) Was about to give up on the cache and blame it on cache-fatigue, but then I found it! Yay!
Decided to clear up the three current Goomalling town caches on my way through from Dowerin. Hmm, a very peaceful place with the breeze rustling the leaves in the trees. While I was wandering around collecting the numbers I spotted a freshly-dug grave with chairs arranged beside it. Ah, looks like there's going to be a funeral this afternoon, so curiosity got the better of me and I went over to have a look into the grave. Waah! There's a coffin in it! The funeral must have only just taken place and the grave's not yet been filled-in.
Anyway, I visited all the waypoints and was sitting down on a bench working out the final coordinates when I heard a machine approaching. It was a JCB coming to fill-in the grave and as soon as the driver spotted me he stopped and cut the engine. I realised I was dressed in black so he must have thought I was there in mourning rather than on the hunt for a small plastic container. So there we were, me, the JCB driver and a body in a box. I had worked out the coordinates but there was no chance I'd not be observed if I tried to find it so I decided to leave it for another day. I'll be back.
So, good people of Goomalling, in the meantime get lots of exercise, eat lots of greens, cut down on the doughnuts, take extra care when handling sharp objects and hopefully there won't be a burial taking place the next time I'm here.

Well talk about a delay in logging! Time has just flown by since I undertook this awesome LGA weekend with PommieParkin. Due to the delay, you will have to excuse the generic log.
PP2 enquired as to whether I would like to go on an adventure to get some more LGA's under our belts, to which I said of course! Set out on the Saturday to head up into the Wheatbelt for the weekend. We first stopped at Northam to do one or two of the Bristag caches I had heard so much good things about. Unfortunately we only managed one, but it did not disappoint!
From there we headed east through Meckering, Cunderdin and Tammin (knocking off a couple of LGA's). From there, we headed north to Wyalkatchem, stopping at a couple of interesting places for caches. I particularly enjoyed the stop at Yorkrakine Rock, it was such a beautiful spot.
We finally reached Wylie, where we were staying the night. Before the day was over we completed the wonderful series by WebblyWA, which gave us a great tour of the town. Once the caching was over, we met up with WebblyWA at night and had the pleasure to experience a drive-in cinema in Koorda, which was conveniently another LGA
On the Sunday, we finished off the caches we had on our list in Wylie and headed west towards Dowerin, where WebblyWA had another series. It was another great series and the final ended up being my 1000th cache found!
From there, we kept heading west to Goomalling for another LGA. This was where our LGA hunt was meant to stop. But, it was here that the LGA bug got to me and it became a case of "well if we just travel half an hour this way, we can get another LGA". So after little time spent convincing PP2, we headed north to Wongan Hills, stopping in Konnongorring for some great views at Gabby Quoi Quoi. Unfortunately, Wongan Hills cemetery was where we had our first DNF of the weekend, meaning our hopes of another LGA were riding on the one other cache in town. Luckily it was an easy enough find.
We then headed west towards Calingiri for one last LGA, stopping to admire Lake Ninan on the way (can't believe there isn't a cache there!). The cache in Calingiri was found, putting my total of LGA's found on the weekend to 8.
I had such an awesome weekend exploring this part of our great state. Many thanks go to the various CO's of the caches. But, I would particularly like to thank PP2 for suggesting the weekend, WebblyWA for some great series and Kyzabra for coming up with the LGA challenge, without which I probably wouldn't have explored this great area.

Phew that was a marathon & such a relief to find the cache & know that we had not made any mistakes with our coords. TFTC
Mentioned to muggle the other day that I needed three more LGAs to reach 90 to complete a challenge so he devised a route for us to go so I could get a few more. I added to the route so after 1350km in total and 36hrs return trip back home to Bunbury I got 16 LGAs all up which I'm happy with and 35 cache finds
Yesterdays travel was Bunbury to Pingelly, Quairading, Bruce Rock, Narembeen, Merredin, Carrabin, Moorine Rock and back to Merredin to recouperate
After getting back into town after caching last night at 9.50pm and a not so comfy sleep in one of the local motels it was up and earlyish start for the morning as today is Nungarin, Kununoppin, Mukinbudin, Welbungin, Bencubbin, Koorda, Trayning (an extra I added at the last moment), Wyalkatchem, Dowerin, Goomalling, Northam, Greenmount and back to Bunbury
Can't wait to travel todays towns again but next time spend some time looking around the towns and going to the museums
I have never been to any of these todays wheatbelt towns (those listed prior to Goomalling) before so thoroughly enjoyed our 'for now' quick visit
Another town and a few more caches to find. Like Wylie we aren't planning to find all here, just after a few for now and we will be back another time to find the rest.
And also like the Welcome to Wylie cache I had forgot to download that one, these few here and the Goomalling caches to my gps so lucky I have my typed sheet to grab co-ords off for a waypoint to hopefully head me in the right direction.
Well this wasn't as easy as thought it would be. Firstly gps wouldn't settle and led me in the wrong direction then when it did 'Look at that there are a few rocks.' So after my injury we went off in search and it was muggle that came up trumps, mostly cause I was still in pain and a nice bruise forming so I left it up to him
SL and had a short rest. This was meant to be our last cache but since it is still day light time to head into Northam for some free wifi and research a cache in the Mundaring LGA area to claim that smiley too
TFTC
Not sure if I have any family members here. With my Great Great Great Great Grandparents arriving in WA in 1829 there are a lot of us descendants spread across this beautiful state of ours

Headed back up to Geraldton for another caching run (third time this year). We started off by picking up as many caches as we could in the wheatbelt on the first day before arriving in Geraldton. The next day we headed up to port Gregory and Kalbarri and the highlight of the day would have to be be the pink lakes in port Gregory. Day 3 saw us caching in Geraldton picking up some we missed last time and clearing up a few of our DNFS here before adding some more DNFS to the list. Day 4 we headed off to mount magnet picking up some caches along the way till we arrived there. I must say the caches in mount magnet were quite tricky to find and it was also a stinking hot day so we didn't get to find all the caches we were hoping to find there. The last day we cached along the coast on the way home. Once again it was stinking hot and we missed doing a lot of the caches we hoped to find plus the flies were driving us crazy but we still got to visit some great places. Most of the caches we looked for we did find and we came across some very sneaky well made cache containers along the way. Thanks to all the CO,s for placing there caches for us and all the other geocachers to find.
Looking about the map to claim the latest souvenir this was the closest Multicache to me, so heading off on this beautiful sunny day I arrived half hour later,
Wandering about I soon had most of the co-ordinates, however waypoint two doesn't seem to have a the number on the head stone as indicated.
Wondering if it would matter I started to workout the final and realised I had two missing numbers, one was easy to guess the other was not but had to be on a line of 12m or so.
Arriving at roughly GZ I walked from 0.000-0,009 (missing number) and found i had a few spots to look however it wasn't long before I had found the cache in a logical spot
Thanks WanderingAus its a beautiful cemetery and it was an enjoyable experience.
Dropped a TB an a tradeable

Having a planned wknd away with kyzabra and krabiboy we left perth bright and early at 4.30 this was to be a big first day of finds and klms. With a few earmarked at goomaling this multi proved a tad more difficult to find than anticipated. Good find though and we were soon back on our way. Tftc
Today was a huge day. 14 hours, 625km, and 27 finds.
This trip out had been a long time in the planning.
Krabiboy and I had hatched a plan and probably changed it about 10 times. dallyho joined us, final plans were set, and off we went
I do enjoy the LKAs and this was another one
WanderingAus - Kyzabra found your cache WanAus 208 - LKA Goomaling . The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Kyzabra and I have had our eyes on this part of the Wheatbelt for a few months. We were joined by Dallyho and today was the day to head out and make a weekend of it.
We left at 4.30am on Friday and headed off to the northern wheatbelt.
We covered over 600km today, clocking up 29 finds, including 5 archived caches.
Took a while to come up with the cache after collecting the coordinates neabry.

WanderingAus, I found your cache WanAus 208 - LKA Goomaling on 5/08/2016.

On our way out the wheatbelt for the long weekend. Stopped here for a coffee break and used our time to wander the cemetery. Didn't realise how much work a 6 year old can be when walking through the headstones. Who was this?, When did they die?, Why did they die? Why are there no flowers?, should we go get some flowers?, on and on she went. We gathered the clues and found the final. I love cemetery caches as for a short space of time the people are acknowledged once again and remembered.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Enjoyed my stop off here, so peaceful, was sad walking past the triplets, while collecting the co ords from the way points. TFTC these places are so tranquil.
TFTC! Found on a day out caching with Cravo10 heading up to Dalwallinu and surrounds. Great day out covering nearly 1000km and picking up a bunch of archived caches that are still in place. Thanks
Big Road trip with B12 today covering just short of 1000Km left home at 5am and got back home at 7pm.
was a great day out maybe next time i will be the passenger so that i can have a power nap or two or three in between caches and on the long haul home. Found a great bunch of caches and arrived ones too. THTF TFTC

Out for a drive through the wheatbelt with my little offsider, we stopped to find this cache on our homeward journey We easily gathered the clues, whilst also stopping to read some of the history here... As always it is sad to see some some graves of lives taken so early, but also a reminder of how lucky we are today.
TFTC WanderingAus [^] Co-ords were easily calculated & the GPSr guided us straight to a quick find... Cache was in good condition & the logbook is nearly 2/3 full, so all should be good for some time to come.

After the success we had with some other revisits lately, we thought it is time to try our home LKA again. I also wanted to give my new phone another test. It didn't get us closer than the sat pic did before, but we ended up on the right side this time and Kevin found it pretty quick. It must also have to do with the experience and developing a "cache eye" - we should have found that last time. TFTC WanderingAus
I like cemeteries so while passing through the area on a work trip I stopped here to look for this cache. I enjoyed wandering around from waypoint to waypoint. Made a quick find at the final GZ. Thanks for the cache WanderingAus.
Lots of numbers but it worked out well.
Very quiet today it must be of season. ..

Second day of my loop through the wheatbelt. Found this one at 14:45 today. Pretty simple one for a multi. TNL, especially from WanAus. Great camo and clever hide. TNLNSL TFTC
Around 36 deg when we got here but quickly did the rounds collecting the required numbers using a gold umbrella for shade. No issue finding the cache. Thanks WanAus
Found all the waypoints yesterday but in the 37 degree heat decided to come back today , much cooler. A quick find. Walked around bit waving the log in the as it was damp. nice and dry now and safely back in position.

Had planned a trip out into the SW but unfortunately it couldn't happen as planned so decided to take a drive out this way instead.
Was a quick find here after finding the various waypoints and working out GZ.
Thanks WanderingAus for the cache.

Found this one after a couple of minutes searching while my wife continued looking around the cemetery. Nice to add another multi to my finds.

stopped in on our way home from Dowerin popped it in the GPS before we left but hadn't read the description, didn't enjoy the heat or the flies but with the help of the hint found the cache ....
In Goomalling for no particular reason that to get out of town and thought I would try put the GC app on my iPhone. It works!

Our very first multi-cache find! Great fun and an enjoyable way to spend time while camped at the Goomalling Caravan Park. TFTC.
Had a lovely walk finding this cache, thankfully the rain held off long enough whilst we were there TFTC
Went to Goomalling to visit so had to get this cache in the process. Have had fun with this series and this was as good as others we have found. TFTC
On a weekend Camping trip, heading East to the Goldfields with the Felix duo, hoping to fill in some gaps on the "The Well-Travelled and Aged Cacher Challenge". (GC3TR3M).
Ended up traveling over 1500Km over three days, so a fantastic road trip.
Took a stab as to where the cache would be hidden as we drove up to the Cemetery,
but still went round all the WP's and collected the info to work out the coords.
Had to double check as we didn't uncover the cache on our first hunt, but all was good in the end.

Still bimbling around out in the Wheatbelt with The Machman although now we are definitely heading towards home.
Hmmm we were obviously getting tired by the time we got here. Collected all the info but werent sure our co-ords were right when they placed us between 2 spots. We gave it a search but didn't trust ourselves so headed back to verify all the co-ords.
Yep they were all correct and a more thorough search turned up the cache which had been screaming at us - Hey Im over here [B)]
Looking forward to meeting some other cachers at the July Event - WA goes BIG in 2013 - GC45X55

This multi took us a bit longer as all coordinates were a bit off for us (could be the clouds today?) but we managed. Cache was nicely hidden. Noticed TB but left it as we had nothing swappable to fit in.
Found all the required info, put it together then went for a short walk for an easy find. Managed to fit a TB. TFTC.
We really like these LKA caches they are so interesting. Found with no trouble! Thanks WanderingAus!!
