Up this way with ABCDF4 for a few daysSo to the CO for making our time away enjoyable
Big changes here with the new road being built and the camp ground gone... decided to come down to this old haunt just for a few geos. Thank you for placing them.
After visiting dear friends up the hill we couldn't leave the area without grabbing this quick find. Thanks CO for placing it
A quick find in the obvious place (and partly because it was sticking out).
Had to wait for some workman to move on at the parking area. They left after a few minutes so packed in bus stop and headed to GZ. Quick find. Cache could do with a good tidy. Log paper all in a big jumble

Despite our soggy and muddy feet we decided to walk a little bit extra and come and see if we could find this cache. Spent a little time searching, let a few muggles pass and made the find.
Never been down here before. Start of our adventure today. Really like the peacefulness of the place. Nice easy find. Tftc.
A quick easy find. The logbook has come apart and is in pieces in the bag. Signed on the first available spot. Came out today to get a couple of caches down this way for the last couple of days of 2022. TFTC.
A nice quick find, walked here from the campground parking. The log is dry but oh so mixed up!. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are in Auckland Auckland for a break and we are exploring the region while we are based here. Today was damp in the morning and the rain got heavier the later in the day it got. We had a great time despite the weather.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Headed up this way again as we spotted a trail of challenge caches we had qualified for, so thought to make a day of it...Joined by team HeMaLuDy, well actually HeMa only .....
Parked up and headed along the trail to this cache ....
Luckily the weather was on point for the walk, but still managed to get soaking socks as the grass was saturated from the days before rain and a heavy due this morning...
The cache was found in good condition ....

The Stik-A-Crane's planned to do this costal walk and a nearby series on a road. Mr and Mrs HeMaLuDy decided to join them for the adventures. Beautiful weather allowed us to really enjoy this very pleasant coast line. Followed the hint for a nice quick find in the obvious place. TFTC
No luck searched for ages didn't really get the clue either unfortunately then it got dark and I can't see anything now.
#10,645. I have flown up for the mega event this weekend. Came early to get some caching done around Auckland. Another very hot summers day in Auckland as well. I was planning on doing the challenge caches in this area but East Coast Bays road was closed due to road works and so had to abandon that plan and instead do other caches in the area. Took a big detour past Dairy Flat airport to get here! I had noticed this cache name earlier today when planning the trip in this area. I have done a 10-10-10 cache and 12-12-12 cache. Even a 17-17-17 cache at a remarkable road sign where every town is exactly 17 km away from that road junction. So had to do this one. Parked close nearby in a spot that was not ideal. Wandered to GZ and found the cache in the place you would expect it to be hidden. Not sure how the two recent visitors missed it. It is not sitting on the ground. Signed the logsheet and returned the cache where found. Thanks rosmar for hiding it here.
Miss 7 and I gave up but fortunately Mr Sanderson Hunter decided to have a look where we were before leaving and located the geocache. Thanks!
So exciting! 2 million ants and their eggs! On it, over it, and all around the outer bag! None inside the actual container TFTC.
After we got to camp we relaxed for a while and then a bit of a walk to get some tea and we'll grabbed this one on the way past now we wate on the tide tomorrow and hit the estuary crossing at low tide so now back to get a good night sleep

Find number 6595. Decided to do a couple of days caching in the area. With an emphasis to try to clear the Dalmatians. After parking up in Riverhead and riding the bicycle from there. I only got a few done before the batteries on my GPS went flat and when I lost phone coverage I had to change plans. In the end I ended up with 29 caches today and spent the night at Murawai.
Day 2 was. Murawai, Dalmations and then onto Orewa for the night. Another 50 caches done.
Day 3 was Shakespear and Stillwater. 29 More caches before heading home to Hamilton.
Parked up at the end of the road to do a little bike ride along the path but before starting I came along to get this one. Once I looked in the right place I soon found it. It is the 11th Today

Furbies and I were in the area with my parentals checking out my step sister's new neighbourhood and thought we would find some new smileys to mark the day.
From memory (yes I'm guilty of being slightly behind in my cache logging sorry!) this guy was full of ants when we found it, but we managed to give it a bit of clean out, sign the log and came out (relatively) unscathed.
Thanks for the hide, and hope you're both well

Out and about for a spot of cache detection today. Nice to be out and about on this cool but otherwise fine day. I drove past a few times until I found a suitable parking spot. After that I made the short walk to GZ where I found this one in the second spot I checked. Nice to execute a super quick find. I found the sister cache (one one, one, one one) back in 2013, some five years ago. I guess I have finally, so to speak, completed the set. Cheers for the cache placement!
What a beautiful day to go for a walk and hunt. I only had to look around a little bit before finding this cache. No muggles in sight! TFTF
Up this direction picking up kiwiscots friend for a play date. Why not just combine the cache too! Last time we were in this area we were utilising our kayaks. Today no water playing but a pleasant stroll to GZ. Lovely spot , especially when the tide is high. Cache quickly found. Ants have taken up residence in the camo much to kiwiscots disgust. TFTC
Had been up here for a walk with some friends, so after dropping them at their car I had time to pick up one or two more caches before heading back to Hamilton
Was heading out to do part of the Okura Bush walk with Jag50 and Merlot58. We were passing by this spot, so had to stop and find this cache. Parked just past GZ and walked back to this one. Found it in the only spot it could be,
We were heading out to walk the Okura Bush walk with Aiden29 and Merlot58. This was on our way so we made a quick stop here to find the cache. The cache is in good condition.
Took the high road, so had to back track just a little
Followed the GPS to GZ, and soon had the cache. Loved the baggy, and the contents where lovely and dry. Lovely spot, thanks for the hide. Off to walk along the Okura walkway.

I didn't have to look in eleven places before I found this cache. Left: Rose Pasty TB. TFTC.
After yesterdays glut of rosmar caches, including 3 accidentally double-logged (by the computer not me, and now deleted) it was to be a more sedate caching day with a bit of walking in the sunshine. Grabbed this first once after the dalmation/piggy trail and all good at GZ.
After nearly meeting Tufty yesterday where I found signs of his caravan but not him, I later encountered him at the Okura walkway and he filled me in the Piggy in the middle story, ahh that makes sense now.
Another weekend day in Auckland and still have the car my friend lent me to get round and see the sights (Geocaching). Todays plan was a many splendored thing; start off with a Wherigo and an Earthcache, clear the new caches off the 101 Dalmation road(s), do few at each end of the Stillwater/Millwater walkway at Okura Bush, dinner with my Aunt in Kumeu before returning car to Greenhithe around 7pm. A few targets and a wonderful days weather for my efforts too, nice one Auckland cachers! Managed to grab quality caches for the most part and a nice round number of 33 for the day was just the ticket.

Started looking in the wrong place initially, but eventually found the caches hiding spot. Love the area. TFTC
Pleasant little park with view to the campsite. It was easiest to park at the entrance to get the car off the road.
Lovely spot.

First visit to the pretty little place that's Stillwater. Paper was a bit damp and my pen was trying not to play, but got there eventually.
Thanks!
Thanks!
This was a quick park and grab as it was quickly found in the only place it could be
Hideeho Thanks for the cache Here on our third day in Auckland we came out here to do some caching and hiking. Found this cache without too much trouble, left a traveler that I brought over from USA.
Last one for today after a fun afternoon picking up caches along the northern end of the trail
382 Showing Aussie friend what geocaching is. He is coming to check round his home area now.
Can't believe it, we found our first cache in New Zealand!!!!! So excited, went with Tri-hards.nz.style and together located it. Can't wait to find more while we are here. TFTC

First cache of the the series along the Okura track. Want to set a record of 15 caches today and reach 200 found caches. TFHC
Quick find, lovely spot for it too, cache dry too. Never been in this area before, here to finish off Glyn's powertrail from this end.
We had hoped to do a lot more today. We came exploring the northern side of the Oakura walk to see if we could cycle it. Never mind.
Grabbed a consolation cache on the way out of Stillwater.
Find #457. Thanks for the cache. 31/05/2014 15:10

Found it AND hooked a fish! Will release it soon when we find another cache near the water. 8D
Last one for today. beautiful spot, even with the tide out. Dropped off fishing T.B.
I don't usually like cut / paste / template logs but will make the occasional exception for 'power' trails. And this trail was indeed 'exceptional'. Started off at the Okura end just before 8am and was back in the car by about 1.45pm having made it all the way to Stillwater and back. I loved the variety in the terrain, although some of the up and down was quite hard work and I loved the variety in the caches too. Not strictly part of the G-2 trail but this was as far as I was coming in this direction on foot today. No trouble with the find. Then it was time to gather what strength I had left for the walk back to Okura, where I'd left the car with all my water in it [xx(] TFTC, Biggles.
