Cache gone, access to hide limited, council are making a new public track bypassing this area, and the final would be better there.
ISAG had spent a bit of time checking this area, its very well hidden somewhere.. until next time
Some cabbage tree, some shouting, lots of laughs, a good walk and an interesting place I had never been before, like heaps of places Sunju takes me to.
This one needed finalising but WAY back when we found the others we were so new to caching the thought of puzzle solving was out of the question so the codes were overlooked not collected. Tried hard to avoid going back by asking a few finders since. No such luck. Recently I got my mum into geocaching (CNAH) and she had not found the other four trditionals, so today we trekked back for her to sign them and us both to get the missing codes and replace one for the CO (having got his permission to do so). Quite a hike for mum but she fabulously threw herself into the adventure. Finally having everything needed we ran out of time and went to the GIFF. After an excellent time watching movies we went to the nearby traditional for mum to collect and then headed to the given co-ordinates. The cabbage tree is elusive but it is there! And I know this because I bush bashed and combed the whole area determined as hell to find it despite the recent DNFs. A previous log gave us the courage and enthusiasm to keep looking as they thought it missing and then stumbled on it. Mum stayed in the clearing shouting directions to that elusive cabbage tree that poked it's head through the canopy which was the only clue to it's existence. There was no vegetation in which to hid it at the base or behind the cabbage tree at the co-ordinates so where to from there we wondered? Widened the search and about to give up and then I virtually stood on it. Very wet container - tipped the water out. The log was in a plastic bag and although damp still quite useable. Signed and re hid the container a couple of feet from the spot where found. My phone had this spot approximately 7m away from co-ordinates which for us would have been at a cabbage tree.
#778 After spending a good 2 hours or so on my bicycle completing the whole river walkway and retrieving the codes i was thankful as i had taken a photo for Mangaone 1 as I had to second guess my guess on the code for it. Even then the final i was left with made me dubious. This time I went for a 10 km run from the Esplanade to find this one. Took me a while to find the final, and i was clearly probing in far too deep into the bush - struggling to identify the hint item in the canopy from down below. Almost about to give up when I stumbled across it on my way out. The blackberries took the edge off! TFTC! Felt i deserved this one, and the cache deserves a fav point also.
Spotted this cache back on line last night after the floods. I can see what you mean by the whole area was under flood. I have never noticed this back area before even though we go to the races quite regularly. With Mini Swiss sick & in need of a sleep I decided to put her in the buggy & go for a walk & pick up this cache on the way now that we've finished the series.
Thanks for another interesting series.

Mummy (Dr LMS) and I went to check on this cache after the big flood. (We live close by.) The whole are had been under water, but to our amazement the cache had only moved about 1 m from its original location. Mummy put it back in the right place
There was some water in the container, so would probably be a good idea to dry it out. We can help if you want to, Seagnoid

Cache dried out and logbook+bag replaced.
How did it get so absolutely sodden so quickly?!?

FYI Dr LMS and Godispojken, I transferred your entries into the new logbook
Finally got the coordinates for this last weekend and went out today to get it. A nice easy find although the cache was soaking wet and so we were unable to sign the log. TFTC
We (Mum and I) didn't have to find Mangaone stream 2!!!! We could find this cache anyway. We went to find the cache several times in a row about 4 times before we found the cache. When we were Walking towards the cache we kicked my new rugby ball that we bought today. It was quite fun! I took a plastic elephant and left a shell. Our shoes got quite muddy when we were looking for the cache and our socks. Our shoes were soaking wet.
FINALLY found this cache!!! My son Godispojken and I have been here about 4 times looking for this cache, but it was a bit tricky since we didn't have the coordinate from Mangaone Stream 2. But today we were lucky and found it really quickly! Turns out we have been barking up the wrong tree
The log book was soaking wet, so we couldn't write in it. We left a piece of paper with our names and date on instead. TFTC

Yay!! I have frequented this walkway many times and have now found all the series except for number1 which I see has now been reset, so I will return to it
Didn't read the cache description carefully enough, so didn't realise that the coordinates given are not the correct ones. Will have to do the others in the series and then come back to this one. That should make a very nice bike ride
[green] At long last I got here. Dried out the cache and the trades, installed new log book.
Initially headed the wrong way to get this but managed to get to it. Emerged from the hide location to a car driving past, I wonder what they though I was doing.
Tough find also and the log book is very almost un-useable as it's so wet!
Awesome series!

I had previously found most of the others in this series some time ago, and now finally found this one, an easy find. There was water in the container, and log book saturated, but managed to sign. Thanks for the cache.
Tftc found with MAKESHlFT, cache was full of water, but log book was still reasonably dry, good series to finish, enjoyed it
YAY! realised we didn't need to find 1 to finish the multi so we got on with it... great multi - found with endmosteye44 TFTC Took caveman left egg and elephant
Had to pop back to a nearby roadend to collect the first bit of information as we had forgotten to collect this on the way. Cache was an easy find. Had quite a bit of water inside, although logbook was dry.

Over the last 10 days I've enjoyed caching in and around Palmerston North. Many requiring walks and some bike rides. I couldn't leave without one more walk to find the final of this series. Easily found for my 2700th cache! Took TB. I'll have to return sometime to find #1 which I DNF'd. TFTC.

Needs some TLC. Have removed the cache to clean and restock it. Will be back in place early tomorrow.
Dried out, new log, new trinkets, brand new trackable for the first to log to find. Back in place and ready to go!
Completed the rest of the series a month ago and have been driving around with these co-ordinates in my car. Finally was in the right part of town and gave this a go. After a bit of hesitation I ended up driving through the racecourse following my gps to get to this one and then wondering if I would ever get out of the place again (gates and me getting lost). Parked right up next to this cache. Cache was an easy find once at GZ but it had a lot of water inside it. Curiously the outside was totally dry. Emptied out the water, signed the saturated log book as best I could and replaced cache. This has been an enjoyable series. Thanks Seagnoid.
After completing the other caches in the series during the last 2 weeks, we wandered out this morning for a quick easy find of the final. We had to empty the water out of the container, but surprisingly the log was dry. TFTC
I had enough info at my fingertips despite not obtaining the value of B to work out a likely place to go and search. Found the cache in the first place I looked. Thanks for an enjoyable little series. TNLN SL TFTC
I arrived half a day early for a conference so decided to spend that time walking around Palmerston North collecting caches. It ended up being an eight hour hike in cold, wet conditions! Great exercise! No problem getting 3/4 numbers along the way--but I hadn't found B. So I used a place holder number and found the cache in the first spot I checked. Nice to be able to complete this series in one go. Cheers for the puzzle cache!

Some nice little walks along the stream despite the wind today. Had to guess the value of B as I couldn't find the cache for Mangone Stream 1 but it turned out to be a spot on guess. An enjoyable wee series, many thanks for the placements.
It was good to get the final of the series this morning after collecting the information from the contributing caches yesterday.
We spotted a mini geo-trail, and StreetWalker hit gold (or should I say plastic) with the first prod of his walking pole.
Thanks for the walks around new (to us) areas of PN.

#3699. Good to get this one after grabbing 1 to 3 the day before. Dropped off The Kiwi Spirit Travel bug that I had found at the former hiding place of "Otira Walkway". The tag on the TB said it wanted to stay in Palmerston North, so I left it at the next cache we did (and only would out when we got home that the bug now wants to go to Chch). Enjoyed the sries. TFTC.
Forgot to write down the clue from mangone 3, & lost the clue from mangone 2 (but hoped we were remembering it correctly), so was quite releaved when we went straight to the cache.
Nice quick find with no muggles around.
Left a pet rock - a giraffe. TFTC & the series

Easiest find of the series for me. The pathways are great community assets, shame it doesn't seem to be used much. Maybe I was there at the wrong time.

Nice final for this series. Had a bit of info from Edvern about how to access the area, and then remembered it from another event we had been to. TFTC

Nice little series, took us a little while to work out how to get the final, not being locals, but quick find at GZ. We noted that the owner had visited the cache today, sorry we missed you! TFTC

Another quick find, to end a good little series. Well worth the favourite point. Never knew I could drive through here.
Although unable to find No. 1 in the series it wasn't difficult to figure out where to head. A very enjoyable bike ride from start to finish, thanks Seagnoid.
Was in Palmerston North doing a few caches and decided that it was a great time to get this series done, arriving and managing to do the Mangone Stream 2 and 3 and getting the information at the start of the trail was enough to help me find the final. Did try and do Mangone Stream 1 last time I was here but couldn't find it and then realised that it had being muggled, tried again today but there was a council mower busy going up and down the river bank by this cache, so decided to leave it till another visit as I really didnt want it to go missing again and I did have enough info that I was able to get to the final. After realising where the final was I managed to find a car-park not too far from GZ and it was a quick walk to GZ, not having one of the numbers for the co-ordinates didnt really cause too much issues as it was the one that really didnt make too much difference in the end. Spot a location that looked promising for the final and checked it out and found the cache safe and secure at this location, what a great little series, will be back to get Mangone Stream 1 next time I am in town, thanks for placing a cache here and bringing me to this lovely location at the final GZ. TFTC TNLNSL (3794)
I had quite a bit of trouble finding access to this one, the old Nuvi sending me round in circles. Got there in the end, thanks for a great series of caches Seagnoid
With the final coordinates loaded into our GPS we were off to bag the last cache. Lots of new houses out here on minuscule sections but the cache was quickly found. Took Jeep 4 X 4 TB and left All Black Weet Bix Cards and a pink bug. Thanks for this interesting series Seagnoid which got us out on a fine Saturday morning.

A very quick find with the help of an obvious (but short! Less than a metre) geo-trail. Thanks for the series Seagnoid, it made for a very pleasant bike ride on a windy and sunny Saturday afternoon.
Dropped off 2 TB's a couple of hours after logging as I didn't have them on me.
All came together perfectly. Thanks Seagnoid for an interesting series incorporating more of PN's walkways, and with thoughtful hides that don't leave you too exposed to public view as you search the cache site. Deserves a Favourite. TNLN TFTC
A pretty quick find once I put the right coordinates in the GPS! (My first attempt led nowhere near anything relating to the hint but when I got home I soon spotted the error and returned a few hours later for a quick find).
Thanks for the nice series of caches along this neat walkway

Traveled this series of caches by bike and enjoyed the ride. Working out what A=? had me a little confused but got there in the end. Enjoy finding the big containers so a favourite point from me. Took TB to move on. Left signature trade item. Signed log then replaced. TFTC
Quick find using the hint.
I enjoyed the ride around the Mangaone caches, even though I couldn't find one.

Visited again on my way home from work because I had lost track of the number of the TB that I dropped off. I discovered that I had left my piece of notepaper with the TB number inside the cache.
