Been wondering how many a solo cacher could reasonably find in daylight hours. Made an attempt today to celebrate a major life milestone. Started near the South end of the Old Windsor Road 'power trial' and cycle-cached my way North. The initial target was to make 40 but managed to complete that before noon. So continued on to Windsor. 50 finds came up just before Windsor with still a few hours left before needing to get back to the Eastern Suburbs for an engagement. So picked off a few more caches on either side on the ride back to the car. Tally for the day (in 7 hours 45 minutes): 63 finds and 7 DNFs. A big thank you to Morley196 for making this outing possible.

Second DNF ... joining the long list of DNFers already in recent logs.

Had a quick look as a favour to a friend. Turned up nothing but didn't waste too much time as I'm doing the Windsor Rd power tail and this ain't part of it!
Such a good day until this one .... a decent look around and no luck. Oh well. Maybe the ants ate it...?
On a walk from Windsor to Rouse Hill today, grabbing caches on the powertrail.
I join the queue with my DNF. After a 10 minute search, going through whatever was available at the GZ, looked like this one might have be lost at the GZ.

Our one DNF on an otherwise very successful day. Searched both on the way out and back with no success.
Our only **DNF** while attempting the nearby power trail with delloro. We managed to grab 70 from 71 today!
We looked for awhile in many places on our way out and way in with no success. I guess we were cache blind today as others before us seemed to have no trouble locating it. Thought I saw evidence of a wire about "chest high" on a tree but nothing on the ground nearby. Oh well! I'll just have to come back one day.

Have been wanting to tackle this L-O-N-G row of caches for quite some time, and finally got an opportunity to find a few today. Coordinates 'spot on' and the hint, likewise. Had a few creatures watching us - but not the kind who would wonder what we were doing! SL; TFTC
GeoDirk is skiing with the scouts. HanorahTLG has a Harry Potter weekend with her aunt. Happy father's day everybody! Out caching with Ziggyau
This was number 12 of the 63 we would find today. I don't recall much about this one, so let me just TFTC you: TFTC!

First big caching day of spring and what better way to enjoy the weather than with an epic bike cache trail. Team MavEtJu and I signed the logs as E+E for ease...
(12 of 62 today) Another quick find on the trail today. Thanks Matthew 7:8.

#388 Twenty fourth of thirty five finds on an afternoon's caching around Riverstone and Rouse Hill. Nice quick and easy find. TFTC
Well this is the day. I have been planned for a few weeks. I have borrowed a bike, helmet and puncher kit. But there is nothing I can do with my 52 year old leg that have not been on a bike for years. I have about 60 on the list for today a ride of about 28 km from Windsor to Rouse Hill and back. Thanks for going to the trouble of placing all the cache with on the local history. Well done.
From all the caches I found I only found one clue for the mystery the was for the letter 5. I will need help to complete the mystery. TFTC.

Out and about in the area today finding caches.
After finding the nearby challenge cache and few trads on the way I am ready to tackle a section on the power trail.
All caches were quick finds, co-ords awesome and so could keep the heart rate up walking the line. [^]
I managed about 37 of them in total. Walking nearly 15km in the process (out and back to the car)
Thanks for the cache.

#2798 (48 of 50 today - am I mad?) (Streak day 287)
So, how to celebrate Leap Day? How do I mark this once in every 4 year opportunity - my first as I started caching in 2013?
I'd considered a few possibilities and decided I'd go for my most ever finds in a day. 50 looks like a nice round number.
I'd not tackled **Morley196's** Windsor Road previously - save for two caches grabbed when I was mining the Rouse Hill Regional Park. In fact I'd left it for such an attempt as this.
Even better, there was an event at both ends of the trail - one in the morning and one at night. Perfect!
So I started out by placing two caches of my own, one of which I submitted for publication (and was published later in the day), and one for which I still need to finalise the listing. Then I headed Windsor way to start my walking marathon - no bike for me!
At the end of the day I had my 50 caches - 48 traditionals and two events - and my fitness tracker assured me I'd walked 32,000 steps.
My only problem was getting back to the car. I ended up almost 8km from *The Hademobile*, and with no sign of buses or taxis, I simply walked back - grabbing a heap of munzees on the way back.
And was right on time for the evening's event. Cache #2800 - not a coincidence!
Apologies in advance for totally cut and paste logs but anything else and I'll go mad! Any specific cache comments will be found under under the C&P heading.
Many thanks to **Morley196** for the trail. Incredible effort. Will add a smattering of faves as thanks.
And thanks also to the organisers and attendees at the events. Nice to meet you all again / for the first time* (delete whichever is not applicable).
So, the result of today was I have my final *Found Date*, my final *Hidden Date* and even finds on my own caches for 29 Feb. HUZZAH!
Please excuse me if I don't do something like this again in 4 years time.

Final cache on Windsor road - and a different type of hide to the power trail.
There was a truck stopped right near GZ, but a quick find and careful positioning enabled both the grab and replace
Now for the 8km walk back to the car!

#561 - Garmin eTrex 30
This was the only find for today. I have been keen to find this cache as it fills in a missing date on my dates hidden calendar. I was putting this cache off due to the difficulty but today Geomum was available to help me out. We pulled into the bay and parked as close as we could. I walked ahead and the Garmin lead me straight to GZ. As I looked around, Geomum was close but then I spotted the cache. This was easier than I thought. 'Found It!' I call out just as Geomum was yelping - she had stood in an ants' nest. As I spent the time signing the log, she was busy going back to the car whilst trying to get rid of the ants. I noticed where all of the ants were hurrying about so I detoured around that spot to return to the car. TFTC.

Easy parking out of sight of muggles.
Caching eyes working well early this morning as I spotted it immediately I approached the fence. Only the sheep were watching, actually seemed quite interested in me.

Parked in the bay, walked back for one, then forward for this. Shows how long its been here... the tree is consuming the wire.
Found it, watch out for the ants

Pulled up in the parking bay and ducked across for this one. The log was pulp and unreadable, and the CO hasn't been around for over a year. I've replaced the log with a sheet of notepaper which should hopefully suffice. The container does seem to have an issue sealing properly, which may be allowing moisture in. Hopefully the new log will be good for a little while at least.

Another perfect spring day for a bike ride along the Windsor trail.
Apologies for the standard log, which does not detract from the good hides.
A great trail and I will have to return to do the ones I didn't make it to today.

Nice quick find. Thanks. Needs a new log. Found it all squished in and not closing properly.
Not to be confused with the Windsor Series,
This one was still great - mix up of hides/containers.
Had a good chat with the RTA for this one, as they were parked in the shoulder.

With my 30th birthday approaching in less than two weeks and having just passed 800 finds the competitive side of my brain decided it would be a great challenge to attempt to get to 1000 finds on my birthday. This would also mean that I would attain 1000 finds in 19 months of geocaching. I sat on the idea for a couple of days, I wasn't sure whether it was achievable and whether or not I would have the time to travel to areas which had decent trails. Last night my competitive side got the better of me and I decided that the challenge was on!!
I'd been eyeing off the Windsor to Rouse Hill Power Trail since I first started caching but had never made the time to travel down from the Central Coast to attempt it. I went under the house to find the ancient Malvern Star bike my old man used to have when he was at uni roughly 40 years ago. I did some work cleaning it up in the dark and cold of night and greased the chain so it would be ready for the trip.
I left the Coast at 7:30am this morning and started driving down to Windsor. I grabbed a few caches along the way including one close to home I hadn't found yet and others around Dural. I pulled up at Windsor and was soon on my way.
I was unable to attempt the first cache at the time as there was a function on and tradies working right next to the cache! This would turn into a theme for the day as apparently it was the day council had decided to mow all the nature strips! Thankfully I was able to make most finds with good timing and only had to come back afterwards for a couple. It definitely was a different experience caching in such an open area with soo many muggles about. I found a cache 15m away from a Muslim man who was praying in the direction of Mecca and the cache itself!! I had truck drivers giving me weird looks because I was stopping at electrical poles and other bike riders wondering why I kept on stopping. I also had about 4 people beep me when I was searching, I'm guessing they were geocachers and knew exactly what I was up to!
I managed to go from start to finish of the power trail in 3 hours and 45 minutes with 2 DNF's (one which hasn't been found for a long time and another which I'm sure is gone due to the recent lawn mowing). I had one more DNF which I couldn't search for properly as there were people right on GZ both times I went past.
I managed to sign most logs using WTF instead of my whole name. Some logs weren't signed because they were wet and about 4 others because they were covered in ants! Thanks to everybody who has helped maintain all the caches I've found today!!
TFTC Cheers

19/4/15. 9:27 AM. Cache #2439. Streak day #301. 15th of 19 caches today. I was grabbing a few more caches on the Windsor Road power trail today, by bike. This was an extra cache, not from that series, that was worth detouring to (found it in between "At the Governors Pleasure" (WRPT-49) and "The Original Turnpike Rd" (WRPT-50)).
I tried looking in a few spots along the fenceline, then turned around and found it. Coords are good. TFTC } : )

This little fella had been a nemesis cache from way back in late 2013 when we did the WRPT. Our eyes on both earlier visits were very firmly looking the wrong way. Today, we just pretty much walked right to it. Having said that, it's still hard to spot even if it is right in your face. Anyway it's now happily off the list. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Parked just round the corner & got the bike out to do a few. Could have done this as a quick grab from the car - but exercise is good......... TFTC

Plans were made with the geobro, goldfinger777, to attack the Windsor to Rouse Hill power trail and to collect a few randoms after. So at stupid o'clock we were up to make the trek to Rouse Hill to get started at around 8am after dropping one of the cars off at the end. The overcast weather was perfect for our ride-nice and cool and no blazing sun [^]
Swung by this one along the way-it would be rude if we didn't!
Nice easy find of the well camo'd container
Thanks for the hide, Matthew 7:8

On the 26th of October, Patches108, 88jaz88 and I made the commute to Sydney's north-west to complete the imfamous powertrail. We arose at 5am and ventured forth on the train, arriving in Schofields. Armed with a scooter, skateboard and ripstik, we struggled our way through the series, collecting 68 caches for the day. We had a stack each and a really hot chilli pie in the middle of our 20km day, grabbing a total of 68 caches! Thanks for the range of caches, adventure and cool spots. We may have signed as "CC" or "CCC" during our day. Our route can be viewed here: http://www.strava.com/activities/200466265

88jaz88, Cccritter and I set of at 5-30 on a massive trip into Western Sydney, planning to grab a large amount of caches. Onto the train at 5-43, off a train, on another, then off again. After 3 and a half chorus of travel, we jumped off at Schofields Station to grab the first cache. We then made our way through Schofields to Windsor Road, grabbing a few caches, then started the massive power trail. Apart a few crashes on our scooter/skateboard/RipStik, we made it through to Windsor after a couple of rests and food breaks. We then grabbed some caches through Windsor before getting to the train station, where we did it all over again, getting back home 4 hours later, tired, exhausted, but elated after a fun day filled with a lot of awesome caches.

I set off this morning to bike my way along the Windsor to Rouse Hill Power trail (in reverse), picking up a few stray caches along the way.
I was a little nervous looking for this one. A graffitied van was sitting right next to GZ. It seemed abandoned, but not quite sure.
