Logs
Tree appears to have recently shifted, and was on cache. Logs are all waterlogged, Messaged CO
No find for us today, had a good look but the area is overrun by blackberries, making it tricky to move around. Nevertheless, thank you for the outing!
We were doing the ad-lab through this park but several caches bobbed up along the way, this being the first.
Thanks Sol de lune

A trip to ACT with Chewinprickles - Day three with Captain Tomato.
We started by finishing up a few we had skipped yesterday then went over to Coombs and Mt Stromlo.
A lovely day for caching.
It really didn't look like A Partridge in a Pear Tree, but then the tree is fairly burnt.
Thanks, Robmc.

Out and about on a Sunday arvo with Baristayan, who brought me here after scoping it out herself the day before. The plan was to try and clean out all the NRL teams, and anything else we could find along the way.
It all started so well until a massive dump of rain settled in and washed us off the hill. We shall be back tho, sensational views up here and all caches were in terrific order.
This was first cab off the rank and was located soon enough once plotting a little path off track. Some seriously meaty ants nearby at ground zero! And a bunch of huge wattles too.
Thanks for the cache!

Done with a group of cachers.
But i was the only one that didn’t had this!
As we walked pass it, I was warned I could backtrack and get it
So I walked to it by myself. I took the hard way as I went across bush about 70metres rather than go back on the same track and in bush 20mts.
Anyway this was hectic!
As hoy can see on the picture, my heart worked really hard for it!
But I’m glad I got it, and defeated the fear of going into the bush alone

Ants weren't happy, plus encircled by sharp blackberry thorns for good measure, but found without too much looking - TFTC
Made it through the blackberry maze finding the old pear tree has split the scene. This is one of our usual Geodog adventure locations so thanks for the diversion and cache Sol de Lune!
#3721 An early morning stroll along the trail had me fairly close, then it was off into the long wet grass for the final approach. Then came the blackberries and eventually the thorns. At least once close the hiding spot became more obvious and the cache was soon in hand. Found it out in the open so replaced it as per CO maintenance log of October 2021. Should be more secure there. Thanks for getting me out Sol de lune!
Thanks for the find! Lots of blackberries on the way to this one. Contents of cache are a bit on the soggy side … needs maintenance.
My first Geo find, super wet and long grass unfortunately everything is wet inside I'll seal it up but might make it worst. Matt
TFTC. The biggest cache we've seen in a while. The new notebook is starting to go mouldy too.
TFTC - my first find
Who remembers the feeling of finding their first cache…
Bag is split and things inside are getting mouldy and damp.

A fast find while exploring around the area. There are some odd earthworks going on at the GZ. TFTH
This one resides next to a bike track which explains why I found it in the open 20metres away. Returned but would suggest a relocation as the box bandits can see it every time they go past. Tftc
I was there yesterday and all was good. In the fork of the tree. Will wait to see more logs before heading out again....
Cache and log have been replaced, some time ago by the look of it, so it's all good.

Easy find. We figure this is a low risk local activity with kids during lockdown. Thanks for saving or sanity.
Found in extremely poor condition. (We did read comments before starting out) We replaced container, cleaned all bits and pieces inside, bagged old moldy book, and supplied new book and pencil. All fresh and New for many more years of enjoyment.
I love the look of the tree nearby, all the sap dripping off it makes it look like a honey tree.
As previously stated by others the cache needs maintenance. Very quick find once there. Tftc

Out for some caches today and decided to hit this section of Canberra, full circuit was 7Km with easy walking. I wasn't able to sign as the plastic zipper broke off, I would have broken bag if I would have tried, suggest changing container ... TFTC
Spotted it after battling our way through thorns and the tall grass. Log signed and we were on our way again. Tftc
Out for an evening walk with G and La_Shee. This was quickly spotted by G. It's nice to add another smiley to this area - not many left for me to find her. Damp log, so I found a spot where the log book opened. TFTC SDL.
Found today on a beaut autumn walk around Narrabundah Hill with Joolay and barb2e.
Condition Report:. Broken lid.
Log Book: everything wet. Log book soaked
I had a spare mint tin so put inside broken container then put the lot in a baggy. Hope this was ok
Thanks for hiding this cache Sol de lune

This was a dnf a few years ago. Happy to now have a smiley! Tftc
Systems container is broken and log is wet. It needs some tlc.

Found it, thanks. Container was opened and left on the ground. Put it back in the tree. No pen.
Unfortunately the lid is indeed broken but I didn’t have a replacement with me. Thanks for the cache.
Found it, but container lid was broken and the cache invaded by ants so didn't log.
Tonight was the last night of the Mystery at the Museum event. I still needed 11 more caches to finish it. After detouring to find an FTF on the way over, I now had an hour left to find 10 caches. I had considered doing part of a powertrail but I preferred the option of going for a bit of a run around here instead. I was just hoping for no DNFs. This was my first cache and I completely missed it initially, losing a bit of valuable time. It was number 26/35 for the event. It was also nice to find another one out of this series of christmas caches. TFTC
Found on Saturday afternoon.
This cache is in terrible condition, box broken and logbook soaked. Needs maintenance.
I was originally planning to go caching along the Murrumbidgee today, it my GPS wasn't, so I had to come up with a new walk somewhere in phone coverage area. Never wandered on this hill, so it was an excellent opportunity.

On the pushy to clean up the caches in the area. TFTC! (Container is pretty trashed & log is damp)
A quick walk from the main road finds me this cache. The container is broken unfortunately. Still some pages left in log book but not many. Might be a good idea to swap it out. Tftc
