Had seen the needs maintenance on this one. All good here, coordinates are spot on, red spanner can be removed
Not sure how far away from original stay, but checked quite a few and also a couple of tree bases. oh well it's been a nice walk. TY
I headed down the trail and got this one. It turned out to be really well hidden, probably to make sure it doesn't decide to roll down the hill again. TFTC.
Cache recovered from over the fence and placed somewhere it might ‘stay’ a little better.
Found the cache - behind the fence. (see image) We were not keen to jump the fence as it is a barbed wire and it started raining.
However, this was the start of a brief walk before heading to Mapua for lunch.
Thank for showing us this walk

Quick find here. Replaced the container, which was damaged. All good. TFTC B&W.
RG1972 was at work today, but I am in the region for a couple of days longer so I decided to devote the whole day to geocaching adventures.
I had my bike in the ute, so settled on taking a few rides around Rough Island, Rabbit Island and Mapua as well as a few short walks in between. Some park and grabs near the heavy traffic as well. Finally ended up close to Tasman township before calling it a day. 24 finds for the day, it was good fun. Thanks all.

I think I have been here before but couldn't find it. This morning I saw the container from one side and then for it from the other side by just reaching over.
Today was my last cyclocaching day in Mapua so after riding down the hill from town it was time to ride up the Dominion Flats/Seaton Valley/Chaytor Track seeking as many of the caches there as I could.
Powered up on my ebike to visit this cache. Quick find. TFTC b&w.

Time to attack this walkway from the opposite end. Parked near the track entrance and made my way down here. Soon had the cache in hand thanks to marker stones. T F T C b&w
I've had a busy couple of weeks at work and was originally supposed to be working today, but with a couple of other things looming on the horizon I asked if I could have the day off before starting back on night shift tomorrow night, and yes was the answer. So, with mrs capperz supposedly at work this morning on the early shift I also got up and underway and was on the road from home at around 0615, with a full days caching ahead, culminating with the event near Mapua at (I thought 1500, it was actually 1400 - oops, made it in time though).
With thick fog all the way through from Wairau river bridge to the Whangamoa saddle it was steady driving to get me into Nelson just after 8, and a full day saw me back at home for 1845 after a catch up at The power of 3 cache with Ricardinho, the Seagnoid, TB Dragon and Jojo. A successful day was had with some park n grabs out Central Road way, a couple of previous DNFs conversted to smilies (and a couple of new DNFs to add to the list!) and a few points towards the latest souvenir scramble. Thanks to all COs for their hides, specific stories where I remember.

I had just picked up two of our grandsons who were coming to stay, so I thought we would go for a wee wander to find this cache. I was not sure where the track began and I initially went the wrong way. With the 8 year old grandson navigating he soon informed me that I needed to turn around.
Quick u turn and we were soon at the correct entrance to the walkway.
The two of them ran down the hill and I followed along calling out how many meters I was from GZ. So as you can imaging by the time I got there the kids had the cache in hand and were waiting for me to sign the paper for us all.
If only all caches were so easy to find.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smilie.
I will have to come back one day soon as we have just one more to find along the walkway.

Great views of the valley from the undulating trail and this one a quick find, a brisk walk back to the car for some extra exercise. TFTC all in good order.
Found while out with No 13 for a walk on a great sunny day. eluded me to start with but then easy find. TFTC
A quick find after having been in Harakeke on business.
All in good order. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache B&W.

The Seagnoid, Toby, Zara and I are exploring the Tasman region again. We were here for the GIFF evening at Mapua on Saturday. Today its Mapua to Motueka in Toby so lets GO!!
After bagging the multi, we walked straight past our bikes and walked along here.
This one was missing so we arranged a replacement to hide back in its home. Cheers

On the way to Motueka the slow way - geocaching. The slowest route between any two points. Heck, at this point Taybeedragon and I are walking!
The cache was missing here, so we replaced it. An earlier cache today was a DNF, which we did not replace, not knowing exactly where it should be, but this one is obvious. Alas I did not have this log written in time to save the CO frfom having to do a maintenance visist. Sorry about that.

Lovely walk from the road never been here before thank you for showing us easy find
Nice start to my walk on this well built track. Hardly notice the drizzle.

We have been meaning to head down this track for a while so we waited until it was 27 degrees and headed down. Thanks for bringing us here and for the cache. Nice easy find.
It's not easy to tell how long the home-made looking 'Chaytor Track' sign had been there, but like others before, without that and the WP coordinates, it would not be easy to see the track was there.
A quick Google suggests that this track was one of the inland route options for the Great Taste Trail, but local land-owners and the TDC could not reach an agreement on access rights (http://www.stuff.co.nz/nelson-mail/news/8632871/Access-problems-see-cycle-trail-rerouted).
Oh well, it gives the residents a nice access route to the rear of their properties as well as us GC'ers a pleasant geotrail for an evening stroll.
A quick find for me, but not sure how long until its next visitor...

You have to wonder at the planning logic. A very expensive but underused (if at all) project
If it was not for BnW , probably never used

Just got the first one as the rain was getting heavy, will be back for the others. TFTC.
Thank you for this wonderful cache. It was a beautiful place in an incredible country.
#7650. It is surprising that this substantial track is a dead end. The first one of the series was a quick find. TFTC.
I'd be surprised if anyone other than geocachers use this substantial path as the temporary looking sign is extremely hard to spot. Appreciated the parking co-ords else we may have missed the start.
We wondered if it will at some stage link up with the boardwalk highlighted in the Boardwalk to nowhere...for now cache which we found later during the morning. TFTC.

With a bit of a break between shifts for Hazedarus we had time for a short walk, only time for two of these caches unfortunately but we will return for the other. I wonder if any of the locals will make use of the gates provided. TFTC.
With some time to kill we thought it a nice idea to investigate the track that goes nowhere. Just 2 out of 3 so we'll be back. TFTC
Quick find with Sir Belac, will return another day for the other 2 on the walkway. He's got his mind set on an icecream at Mapua TFTC

This very hidden walking track is cool. Loved our walk here with my kids and my nieces who live just up the road. Kids decided we should venture on and do the second cache further on. Not sure why others aren't visiting these caches more. Thanks for bringing us here. We will return next school holidays and complete the walk and caches.
Another one for August streak at night.Cache was in hand at 8:03pm and the rain had stopped when we left home but there was a bit fog in some places on the way.We did not go on further will saves these for another night maybe.Dropped in TB.TFTC
Streaking today for a different goal and that is to achieve 30 in a day for my MGSc qualification. Mrs M in a weak moment agreed to navigate me around a pre-planned route and I would have to say without her assistance I would probably still be out there. Left home at 12:30 pm and back again at 5:00 pm with 29 under the belt and with #30 planned to be a night time FDF of The Streak #3 which is just 100m from home. Fingers crossed that doesn’t go belly up. Find #20. Great walkway. TFTC
Beautifull cache row, a pretty nice walk for this sunny day. thanka for the cache
TFTC. This was a driveby when there was just no time left to look further down the track. Planes just don't wait, even for cachers!!
Thanks bumandworker. You really have placed caches far and wide for many to benefit from.

Today I Went for the 100 caches in 1 day. With a very early morning and just breaking even at lunch time with 50, it looked like it was going to be 12am to 12pm. But after a move out of the city they started to speed up, and i managed to grab the last at 20:30 with 106!! Thanks everyone for the caches that they have placed, from the ones that have been planed for months to the park and grabs
Last find of the walkway and another easy find, although Mrs B took a piece of flora home in her finger courtesy of this cache Nice little series of caches - thanks!
Found this early afternoon. Completing my 10 days in a row for my masters challange. Wow what a great track. Very cool walk on a dry day =)
Retraced our route down to the car in Dominion Rd and relocated to tackle this cache from above. Nelson is blessed to have this cycle way.
I sent Ms M off to chase after a little white ball and then headed out for a few hours caching on a superb winters day. This, set of three, caught my eye first so off for a wee walk to check out this rather quiet walkway.
A quick find. Just the sheep to be muggled by.

The hardest part of this was finding the walkway! Our map showed chaytor rd on the wrong side of the bypass! TFTC
Good to be lead down this pathway. We should have done it before the sun rose - not on the hottest day of the week!!!TFTC.
I did not read the instructions and took my 50cc moped down the path... didnt meet anyone here. Cheers
Out for a bit of caching with Sidewaze. Decided to do this walk and cache along the way. It would have been an easier exercise if I had remembered to change my shoes before leaving home. Not much fun strolling in scuffs. TFTC
Had never ventured down this road, so had no idea there was a walking track here. It is indeed a little strange but I guess one day all the sections will be linked. Thanks for bringing us here.
First of the three cache I did on the walkway before lunch. Easy find - but there was a wasp, and a few ants hanging about nearby. Cheers Gav [10281]

We enjoyed our out and back stroll along the pathway to nowhere, will be great when it is linked up. Thanks for the chance to stretch our legs and gain a smilie. TFTC

Parked as advised and spotted the walkway - which we might have thought was a driveway without the cache being so close. Another of the many - now we didn't know this existed - that caching has introduced us to. A 1.5km return walk was just right for us today as well. Took a coin. Thanks.
Nice One!!!!!!!!Great afternoon walk with an unexpected pig as a companion. Played by the rules and did the 1-2-3 bit and back. Will be interesting to see where this flash track eventually ends up. Some local batches weren't to bad either. Much fun! Thanks
Saw these come up when we were in Blenheim - mutter mutter mutter oh well we can still do them with in 7 days for our Dgsc - so off we went tonight for an evening stroll after tea - it was lovely to right up until we got home and Stretch0's alarm for new caches was going off - mutter mutter mutter the cache owner has dropped in a string of new ones in Blenheim !!!!!! lol never mind enjoyed the walk and the cache thanks
Well spent the week end mopping up a few of the outstanding caches in Marlborough to see a string of close to home so ... tonight after work we headed off for an after dinner stroll to grab them. Great walk admiring all the batches and home for coffee TFTC
Half way through coffee a pile of Marlborough caches published!!! Always in the wrong place lol now will have to wait to grab those on my next trip over

Nice to see more sections of this walkway slowly opening up. Funny how a 'new' walkway can have some sections that are almost overgrown. It gave an interesting perspective on some of the nearby properties too. TFTC, Biggles (apologies for the cut and paste log on these 3 caches)
Sitting in the driveway about to head to Mot for a couple of caches when we saw these new ones. Checked out the track with kids and dog, nice walk. Thanks.
I was very surprised to only see one other name in the logbook. Swapped TBs TFTC #2778
