Frankly, I was looking for something a bit bigger that fit the hint. I found a path that led far up the hill and parallel to the trail, but nothing. Then I found another path that was closer to the trail. This is when I spotted the small and almost-rotted-away that fit the hint perfectly. I realized that the cx was reachable from the trail after all. TFTC.
A quick find here. Could actually retrieve from the main track, but I had parked the steed and gone for a walk. TFTC B&W.
RG1972 was at work today, but I am in the region for a couple of days longer so I decided to devote the whole day to geocaching adventures.
I had my bike in the ute, so settled on taking a few rides around Rough Island, Rabbit Island and Mapua as well as a few short walks in between. Some park and grabs near the heavy traffic as well. Finally ended up close to Tasman township before calling it a day. 24 finds for the day, it was good fun. Thanks all.

Returned here last Friday quickly, after work as I needed the number for that day. I saw the previous night there was another nearby, so was handy to get my calendar day. Nice walk. Will be back to get more as I need them. TFTC
Today was my last cyclocaching day in Mapua so after riding down the hill from town it was time to ride up the Dominion Flats/Seaton Valley/Chaytor Track seeking as many of the caches there as I could.
Good coords for this one - just reached over from the track for a quick find. TFTC b&w.

Didn't meant to log a DNF here, it was the other one I couldn't find.
This one was straight forward, does the walkway continue up here?
So happy you brought me here, will definitely come back soon and explore a bit more this area.
Nice for walk and also for a run, nobody around today

Whislt in the area I pushed on to make a start on these walkway caches, one at this end, and 2 from the top end. No worries here though I chose to take the tiny overgrown sidetrack to make the find (not necessary really!) Replaced as found, T F T C b&w
I've had a busy couple of weeks at work and was originally supposed to be working today, but with a couple of other things looming on the horizon I asked if I could have the day off before starting back on night shift tomorrow night, and yes was the answer. So, with mrs capperz supposedly at work this morning on the early shift I also got up and underway and was on the road from home at around 0615, with a full days caching ahead, culminating with the event near Mapua at (I thought 1500, it was actually 1400 - oops, made it in time though).
With thick fog all the way through from Wairau river bridge to the Whangamoa saddle it was steady driving to get me into Nelson just after 8, and a full day saw me back at home for 1845 after a catch up at The power of 3 cache with Ricardinho, the Seagnoid, TB Dragon and Jojo. A successful day was had with some park n grabs out Central Road way, a couple of previous DNFs conversted to smilies (and a couple of new DNFs to add to the list!) and a few points towards the latest souvenir scramble. Thanks to all COs for their hides, specific stories where I remember.

Having attended the CITO yesterday, I had to head away to do some chores and finish an assignment. This afternoon with homework done I thought I'd go back and tackle the ones I left. A lovely walkway and nice to see how toil from yesterday being enjoyed by a number of wanderers. Cache was a quick find and all in good order. TFTC
Looked in wrong spot initially as was using phone gps. The logs all said was easy so tried again and Garmin GPS was pretty close when settled. TFTC
A new place to give the dog a walk. Did a bit of circling around but got there in the end. Thanks for the cache. And 823m towards the DGSc distance challenge.
A quick find after having been in Harakeke on business.
All in good order. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache B&W.

The Seagnoid, Toby, Zara and I are exploring the Tasman region again. We were here for the GIFF evening at Mapua on Saturday. Today its Mapua to Motueka in Toby so lets GO!!
After bagging the multi, we walked straight past our bikes and walked along here. Snagged and tagged along our way. Cheers

Taybee dragon and I attended the 2016/2017 GIFF in Mapua last night, and are now winding our way to Motueka. Saw this cycleway had had to walk it. Which is silly, actually, as we had our bicycles with us! Nice easy find here.
I also plotted the track and have since added the rest of it to the map.

It was such a glorious day I wanted to go for a wee wander in between appointments. With a dnf nearby I decided to try to find this one. The cache was out in the open - possibly it had been covered from above - but it was totally exposed from the bottom path - so I just moved the camo a wee bit to leave it covered up. Thanks bumandworker
After cycling the south island for 2 months we are spending the last 2 weeks of our holiday in the Nelson area - and naturally we need to log some caches . Tftc!
Finally, the day has come and I have arrived to New Zealand. This three week long trip has been planned for more than 6 months. First of all, I was going to visit my daughter and her boyfriend, who has been on the islands for almost one year, next was to see as much as possible of both North and South islands. My daughter had done a day to day planning on where to go and what to see. This trip was not planned as a Geocaching trip, but we should definitely search for some caches all over the islands.
Day 9. Motueka
In the afternoon, we took a short walk around I the neighborhood to look for some hidden boxes. This one was easy to find. Logged together with Klövsson and Familjenloov. Tftc

We have been meaning to head down this track for a while so we waited until it was 27 degrees and headed down. This one was more difficult as we discovered two tracks and wasn't sure which one to follow. We could reach better from the new track in the end but it was a close thing. Thanks for the cache.
A final find for the evening as the sun started to set behind the hills before heading back to the track head and heading for home.

End of our walk down now back again. It kept us walking up and down on an uneventful track but it was good to collect all three caches. Thanks for placing them there.
Thank you for this wonderful cache. It was a beautiful place in an incredible country.
Early morning walk with Mum. Parked on Dawsons Rd and did the loop. Lovely walkway that is now well maintained but with no signage off the ajoining roads. Cache well hidden and took a good hunt to find it . TFTC
We decided to get out and about to brush the cobwebs off and grab a few outstanding caches along the way. This was the second of half a dozen we found and completed some unfinished business, we didn't have time to cover the extra distance to this one when we did the other two. Thank you bumandworker.
I can't even remember why #3 wasn't done when we did #1 and #2. It got rectified today with an alternative approach. The plantings are impressive and will make the area much more attractive than the swamp it used to be. No TB here. Thank you Bumandworker for placing this cache.
#7652. I got into position to spot this one and told Troodles where to reach for it. We carried on a little further to see where it went. Thanks for this series.
Logbook was saturated, so removed it from the plastic bag and added a strip of paper as a temporary logbook.
We didn't read the cache description so the pathway was left in the pursuit, then realised we could reach it from the path way.
Then we carried on a little to see where the path ended, then the uphill walk back to the car. Luckily it just the last bit that was steep. Thanks for showing us this walkway.

Quick find at night cache in hand at 8:23.Log was very wet added my own paper it will need replacing.TFTC
Streaking today for a different goal and that is to achieve 30 in a day for my MGSc qualification. Mrs M in a weak moment agreed to navigate me around a pre-planned route and I would have to say without her assistance I would probably still be out there. Left home at 12:30 pm and back again at 5:00 pm with 29 under the belt and with #30 planned to be a night time FDF of The Streak #3 which is just 100m from home. Fingers crossed that doesn’t go belly up. Find #22. Loved the walk and good having Mrs M waiting at the end to pick me up ... whew. TFTC
Beautifull cache row, a pretty nice walk for this sunny day. thanks for the cache and also for the juicy apple we got down there ) (the logbook is a bit wet, still possible to write in but maybe in need of a new one)
Today I Went for the 100 caches in 1 day. With a very early morning and just breaking even at lunch time with 50, it looked like it was going to be 12am to 12pm. But after a move out of the city they started to speed up, and i managed to grab the last at 20:30 with 106!! Thanks everyone for the caches that they have placed, from the ones that have been planed for months to the park and grabs
Decided to start from the furtherest cache and work backwards - this one was an easy find and Mrs B had it in hand within seconds! A lovely walk on a beautiful Nelson day! TFTC Also cache no 3 in Mrs B's FFS (Free From Study) run
Last one on the walk now to run back to the car. Was a really good chance to get a fresh bit of air and run on a new track. Thanks heaps for the caches =)
Quick find thanks.
Visiting from Auckland and staying friends near Mapua who came caching with me on a glorious Nelson day. As we approached the cache from below my friends phoned more friends who lived in the mud house just over the fence from the cache. Stopped for morning tea.
Seems this cache is actually on their property, but no problem, they are cycle way advocates and granted use of the land for the cycle way. There is some leveling of the path planned for here that might destroy the cache's location.

Number 3 knocked over. Now what? Back the way I came? Boring! Into the culvert, up the rocks. Up the bank where others have been before me. Over the fence onto a rather nice (private ) drive. The local ankle biting mutt now alerted chased me up the drive to the road back to the parking spot. Two houses for sale! Spec built?

Another quick find while taking an enjoyable stroll along the walkway in the gathering dusk. TFTC
A nice ride down the hill to nowhere!! Certainly a finish in a strange place for now. Hopefully completed in the near future. SL TFTC
Oops, no need to go fast, the track ends here!
A quick sign of the log and it's off back up the hill!

Easy find as part of walkway series. Nice! No sign of TB in cache tho. TFTC Whakatu3. + dog
Just replaced the cache when who should come bounding down the track ... but Bitsprayer!!!! Lots of talking on the way back - UP THE HILL!!!! and we were at the top before we knew it. TFTC series.
No TBs in cache. Last visitor must have taken the one that Magpiy dropped off. TFTC.
Rotten luck, no TB in this cache. I wanted to take at least one TB back to Oz. SL TFTC
Continued mopeding along the track to no.3... around the corner 50m to go and who should i bump into but a council truck coming towards me. Well I said there were no signs... They said i was naughty but only the 2nd person they had ever seen using the track and explained how disappointed they were at having to maintain a track no-one ever used. They even allowed me to find this cache before heading back out the way i came with a message to geocachers that this is a walking track only! And i thought it was to become part of the great NZ cycle/walking track!?! And anyway how come these caches were allowed to be placed as a series on a track? I have never been allowed to do that. Cheers.
Last of the three, a nice wee walk down and back. Now off to Mapua for coffee! Cheers Gav [10283]
Good find this evening, interesting area on a start to a New Year.
Hopefully it will not take too long for the walkway to be connected as it was enjoyable to run and walk along it.Was enjoyable to finish here and walk down to meet Samy! Snr who parked further down the road. The traffic was very quiet, also there was no TB in the cache

Have enjoyed our stroll around the area, always nice to stretch the legs and collect a cache or three in the process. TFTC

Like most others, we did the 1 2 3 as well. Then had to turn back as the threatening showers became real. Of course, it cleared just as we got back to the car. Enjoyed the gentle stroll after a previous scramble. Thanks.
Nice One!!!!!!!!!Played by the 1 - 2 - 3 rules, so this cache was third in line. Windy and cool getting out of the car and windy and cool getting back in the car and very hot in between. Unique walking companion! A local pig followed me for about 200-300 metres and then decided he/she had had enough and took off. Much fun! Thanks

Came to nearly the end of the track in it's current state and close to the motorway, it will be interesting to follow more of this pathway in the future TFTC
Also followed the suggested 1-2-3 and were rewarded with a nice stroll and 3 smileys to boot thanks for bringing us down this track that we had seen from the road but not ventured on !!! thanks for the cache
Nice to see more sections of this walkway slowly opening up. Funny how a 'new' walkway can have some sections that are almost overgrown. It gave an interesting perspective on some of the nearby properties too. TFTC, Biggles (apologies for the cut and paste log on these 3 caches)
FTF. Last one on our walk. Dropped in a tb but wrote down wrong code, hopefully whoever picks it up can fix it. TFTC
I'm looking forward to the remainder of the series when the walkway continues. TFTC #2780
