Sorry for logging so late, but I need to tell you my story *g*

My friend blackdeath was in my car with Basti on the back seat as you can see, my other friend UTF was on front seat, and holds the GPSr.
(Basti and UTF are my team members, so there are no logs from them).
Waiting at station 1, there was dl4dbx which should be met at 20:30, and so i drove faster and faster ... i was already 4 minutes too late and about 7 km left. And suddenly there was a red flash (here). Thank you police !
PS: Photo-Time is 20:34, 4 minutes too late
I was 14 km/h too fast, that means 25 €uro, and 0,55 €uro for the stamp. But now I have a nice picture, and a funny story more.

On the way home from a day of geocaching and visiting with friends, Special K got a speeding ticket. A sad ending to an otherwise fun day! The cache we found before the speeding ticket was "Splitting Hairs" - GCQKXR.
Bevor die Caches geschlossen werden noch ein letztes mal Geocachen.

On way to Oklahoma City for a day of caching. Trying to get to the first one at daybreak. I had my cruise control set at 78 and I was passing when I spotted highway patrol car. As I passed, he pulled into traffic but didn't have his overheads on or trying to catch up to me. As I got ready to pass a vehicle, he turned his overheads on. When I commented that I didn't understand why he was after me I was only doing 78, Jerry had been watching the GPS and stated that the GPS showed I was doing 82.
The officer had me sit in the front seat of his car while he got my info and ran it. I told him that I had the cruise set at 78 and he stated that was too high because the speed limit was 75. He asked if I was going to the game as he was writing out the ticket. I said no, we are going geocaching. He handed me the ticket and then told me that it was just a warning and to keep my speed down. I was so relieved and did watch my speed to OKC. Comparing with the GPS my speedometer runs lower, the higher the speed the bigger the difference.
The first cache we were going after was Nature's Sink at 35 40.172 097 30.132. Yes we found it and had a great day of caching knowing I didn't have to spend $80 for a ticket.
Note: this is the second ticket I have gotten in two years during caching trips, fortunately both turned out to be warnings. Jerry got one in Illinois and had to pay.

found out about this reverse not too long ago, but had trouble finding my warning for speeding. but today I found it!

It was late October when we was happily going down a nice straight county road doing about 40 mph on the way to GCJF0D and the nearby trig point before continuing onward to visit relative (and as normal was in a rush). Half way down the road was a lay-by with a white van parked in it, as we passed it I noticed it was a dreaded mobile speed van (may his wheels fall off and his paint work go rusty)!! but no problems I wasn’t speeding. Or so I thought until a few days later when a letter arrived informing me that I had been doing 38 mph in a 30 zone. They made a few quid that day as there were another 3 cars doing approximately the same speed as me at that time. To add insult to injury we only had time to visit the trig point and therefore failed to log the cache.
I was on a marathon day of fire truck hunting, I snapped a shot of a truck a few minutes earlier, and found this present waiting for me when I walked back to my parking spot. thanks for the fun cache!
On Wendsday the 16th of November, I was on the the way to Cache GCH4EN. It was 5:24 PM and suddenly a flashlight wakes me up in my car. 66 Km/h in town an I get a bill obout 35,-- Euro. Shit happens.

Geocache found on Saturday, the 12th of February 2005, logged on Thursday, the 29th of December 2005. I was trapped driving at 160 Km/h (40 Km/h over the limit) while geocaching several locationless caches, such as "Historic Synagogues of the World". Best Regards / Juande.

I was on the way to GCJ8RQ TUD Lichtwiese on Saturday, July 03, 2004, when I got trapped. The cache was woth the money.
Not what I was rushing for, but I found it anyway. Had just failed to find Hoecroft Hunt (GCQA1W), after having been to Bishop's Stortford for work. Almost got back work at Watford by lunchtime and apparently I passed a van parked by the side of the road. NIP dropped through my letterbox a couple of weeks later.
On my way to do maintenance on my "What Broughton Your Interest in Geocaching?" cache. 12/25/05 Merry X-mas
12/04/05. Nutz got this speeding ticket the morning we left for a day of caching. Ironically, the first cache we found was named Fast Lane.
Ticket written 12/27/05 on the way to do Butterflies are Free before going in to work. This big, blonde, female cop wrote this ticket and smiled the whole time! Fine way to start the day.
On our way back from a caching run down south, a DPS officer pulled me over for speeding on westbound Interstate 10, just 2 miles from my exit! The last find before our little 'incident' was Forgotten Corral (GCM7FP) and this was the end of an otherwise good day of caching. Most I've paid for a 'smiley' yet! TFTC!

Pulled by the local Police who asked if I knew why the had stopped me..... Was it my excess speed??? Was it the obscured rear number plate? was it the guy I cut up at the roundabout? or was it using my mobile phone? It was the phone..... Let off with a caution after the third degree.... The cache I had just done was Westwood Ho GCRKQN and I was in a rush to get to work on time. Cheers MaxKim.

on this day she was 22 km/h to fast, must pay 65 Euro and got 1 point in Flensburg.
So this was an expensive Cache.
Ahhh. It was June 2nd this year and I'd just done BletchWin Trail by mafiu http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=a698c379-fdde-42e9-a39b-3606d327432a when an evil speed-camera holding goon picked me off on Midsommer Boulevard in Milton Keynes. The court case is pending but I wanted to log this before the end of the year... Even if I DON'T get a speeding conviction (and a big dumb fine, and points...) I did get a ticket. Thanks for setting this cache as a small bonus.

After visiting GCB0A7, Where Joseph Died cache, 11-11-05 17:20hrs I got stopped in the little town of Colchester, IL for speed. Was travelling 48mph in a 35mph. I was slowing down as I was entered the town, but was a little too fast at the point the officer measured my speed. If I come this way again, I'll be sure to slow down. Peoria Bill :>)
The Wolf did not stike again, but was hit from behind!
On my way to Wayoint (GCKWKN) I made the normal detour between the A50 and the A1 (E30). However the way to the A1 was blocked due to maintenance. Therefore I was looking for another way to the highway and was not focused on speed traps.
And yes, now two months later, the speeding ticket arrives .
I wonder if policemen are active in GeoCaching and have logged this cache also!
Anyway, thanks for putting this cache up on the net so I can at least have some fun with the ticket.
Speed trapped on 12 Oktober at 1:40pm.

Actually got this one on 10/4/05 on my way to do Lathrop Levitation, GCQTWE, in Berkey, Ohio, USA. Got FTF but it sure was expensive. It cost me $110.00. OUCH!
We were stopped on Rt.112 in the town of Buckland,MA at the above coords
We did nine caches that day (9/5/05) the first a FTF "Northfield Mtn Reservoir Cache" (GCQE3K) in Northfield,MA

After 632 finds, I finally got a speeding ticket while geocaching! (Isn't it appropriate that Mr. Speedy has a Speeding ticket?)
We got this one in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We were just coming back from the "Monthly GCE Meeting - December Edition" (CGR999) and had just found "It's a Timbit of a Cache" (GCRFP1) on our way back home. This was not a Photo-laser, but a cop in a cruiser.
This cache made me forget the sad part of getting a speeding ticket! As soon as the cop went back to his car with my driver's license, I said to my wife: "Hey, I can log this as a find!". She tought it was funny that I was taking it this way!
$110 for going 17 Km/h (10 mph) over limit? That is nuts! Oh well, what can I say? Thanks for letting me log this unfortunate event as a find!

When I first saw this cache last year I laughed and thought how horrible it would be to log it. Well, here I am today. Heading back to work after finding GCREWQ - REACH OUT AND TOUCH SOMEONE! while running an errand for work. I had two DNFs and was making up too much time when the sneaky sheriff got me while he hid behind an overpass bridge. 15 mph over = $189.00 US! 7 over is my limit for awhile! TFTC
I was hoping this was one cache I would never get. I was attempting an FTF on Welcome 2 Alvin (GCRDV2) cache in Alvin, TX (~15 miles from my house in Houston). I needed an FTF for the Coin Quest game. Instead, I get a speeding ticket for 60 in a 45. This was the day before Thanksgiving and I had to get some caching in before heading to the airport. Unfortunately, someone beat me to it but at least I get to log this cache! I also succeeded in the Coin Quest game w/ no other violations. Good thing I don't go to Alvin very often.

We went to take a shot at one of Prague webcam caches - GCN44W - Feed Your Pet and Cache. It was quite late, the dark was about to come and we were afraid that there would be nothing to see at the pics from the camera, so I was driving a bit faster... The cops were hidden typically at Cernokostelecka street approximately at the above coords. I agreed to give them some money in cash and pretended a "nice guy".. So this time it was pretty cheap - 500,- CZK, which is about 20 USD...
I was not angry - it was really cheap and I have another cache!! Thank you for this idea!

Ok, so this isn't one that I was eager to get logged. Thankfully, it's just a Parking Ticket and not a speeding ticket. [^]
I was up in Sacramento looking at a project and thought I’d find a few Benchmarks.
This one wasn't hidden but was a huge water tank. I pulled to the side of the road, walked up to the tank to take the coordinates, read the sign, and turned to find the officer already writing me up.
I ran back to the vehicle and plead with him but to no avail. [:(!]
The kicker is he took more time writing me a ticket than I was parked there in the first place. [:(!]

We were out caching in College Station, TX back on 8/1/05 and we got a parking ticket on Texas A&M University campus becuase we parked in a parking lot that you were supposed to have a parking permit for. We thought that we would be ok parking there considering it was the summer and it was 8:00 at night, but apparently that doesn't matter. We were looking for the geocache Avenger which I am glad to say that we found because this was like our third time to go looking for this cache.
After walking the caches northeast of the Mall in Washington, DC, we returned to the car to find an expired parking meter and an accompanying parking ticket. An extra 50¢ in the meter would have saved us $25. After reading the ticket and realizing we weren't due to be towed, we dropped another handful of change into the meter and headed off to complete the Neighbors cache. Hey, parking spaces are hard to find in this city!
During lunch, on my way to "What A View" (GCK26W), got stopped by the Addison police for doing 48 mph in a 35 mph zone. See the pics for details.

I am so embarrased to say that yes I did get a speeding ticket while geocaching in the Northwest Territories this past June... I specifically went to the NWTs to geocache - we hid a cache just up the road from where I received this ticket - UGH!!! Never thought it would benefit me! HAHA! Thanks for the great LC.

August 5, 2005 - Trying to sneak a cache in (GCKHC1) before attending a business meeting. Got pulled over in Caledon, doing 77 km in a 50 km zone! Ruined my day (first speeding ticket ever). Went on to the business meeting and returned a week later (much more slowly) to do the cache.
This was our first cache for the day - one we hadn't planned on doing either! We found about 10 others, but the next find was Red Devil.

I was caught on 11th June 2005 doing 69 kph in a 60 kph zone while on my way back from Williamstown doing 'The Timeball Tower' and the first two waypoints of 'To Climb a Tree'. To allow for any misreadings, they subtract 3 kph from the detected speed to give an alleged speed here of 66 kph. For my extra 10% in speed I was fined $128.00 Australian.
After spending a beautiful day in the Whitsundays and checking up on two caches (Stranded! and Nara View) which hadn't been visited for some time, I was 100m from the boat ramp when the nasties appeared from nowhere.
Apparantely i was speeding in my boat doing in excess of 6 knots when i was 100 metres from the boat ramp on one of the busiest days for a while (probably 3-400 boats launched that day and 20 boats waiting to be recovered). Work that out

Like many others, this is one cache that I did not want to log. However, it is some consolation to get a geocaching credit for it. [^]
I had visited "Wet Landings" (GCG78P) on the previous night, and unsuccessfully searched for an hour with a torch. I wasn't convinced that I had been looking in the right area, so I was keen to have another look in daylight on 26 June 2004. Too keen, as it turned out! My hire car was photographed doing 90kmh in a 70kmh zone on Kenwick Link, near Horley Rd, Beckenham, Western Australia, on the way to the cache. $150 fine: ouch! [B)] I found out three weeks later, when the WA Police sent me the notification. To add insult to injury, Hertz also charged me a $33 administration fee for processing the infringement notice. [8] (By the way, I did find "Wet Landings" on my second visit. )
One I didn't want to find! Caught on the way up to a new cache GCJRWG Venezuela about 20km from home a couple of weeks back - 26 June. Received a ticket in the mail so not exactly sure of the precise location - the ticket gives a street and suburb. They are even hiding cameras in garbage bins here nowadays. Cost = A$149. Cross Road, Myrtle Bank in Adelaide, South Australia.
Damm it! I had this cache on my watchlist for a long time but now my mom told that I was "geblitzt" - that's German.
It was 17.4.2004 and I did two caches at that day: LIMES 6 GCHRBX and LIMES 4 GCHJ02 but they were worth it - I was 3 km/h too fast so I only have to pay 15 EUR.
The speed trap is located at N48° 51.84' E10° 6.38'
Bad luck

On the way to get Sand Sand Sand [GCF348] I got done by a speed camera. $100 and one demerit point. Doh!
Why I was speeding: Know how you get to a set of traffic lights and they turn amber, and you're right on that balance of 'keep going' or 'stop quickly'? I decided to keep going, so I accelerated. Just beyond these lights the speed limit goes from 80 to 100. They had the camera just before this. Oh well. The most expensive Cache I've done to date...

Merry Christmas from the Victoria Police, Australia.
I was out looking for 'One for your closet' (Waypoint: GC8DD4). Got photographed doing 64 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. Oh well, do the crime, pay the fine. $125 and one demerit point.
