I've often come into the city during the day when of course it was too busy to attempt this cache. Thankfully I had hung about after an evening event nearby today. Of course I have visited these beautiful chocolate shops in the past (how could I resist?!) with Haigs being my personal favourite. Thank you for the reminder from this sweet tooth. SL TFTC
In Melbourne for the day on a cruise. Doing a few touristy things then catching up with family friends for lunch. Had time to tackle this multi before heading back to the Port for much needed beverage supplements.Picked up what I needed without being lured into any choc shops. Being so well fed and attempting to reassure myself there are no calories in holiday food (and failing), the last thing a chocoholic needs is this sort of temptation. Feeling choc deprived approached GZ and found the cache but somewhere in my 200,000 steps for the day lost my writing implement. Sent the CO confirmation I had arrived at GZ and logging the find upon my return to Brissy (go the Brissy Lions, 2024 Premiers!!). Thanks CamBendy for the aptly named choc tour of Melbourne.
Chewbacca72 and I are traveling during 4 months through Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. A few caches that are on our way should not be missing. This cache is one of them. Many thanks to CamBendy for hiding.Best regards, searchersab
After a few days of Melbourne sunshine, I found this in the morning rain. Nice idea for a multi. TFTC
Found facing the direction and with the hand described in the hint.Shame the hot chocolate place was closed, I love a chilli hot chocolate.
Figured this one out in my office and saw the cache was close so did a quick lunchtime dash. Wasn't the first place I looked but was in the second. A nice little adventure. TFTC
Took quite a bit of wondering around but we got there eventually:) TFTC found with bttam
Not in the exact location we expected given the hint but we found it eventually. You might try using your right hand facing west, a few metres further than described.
Stopped before even starting. There is no chocolate shop at the posted coord. Just construction. Tried something else but to cigar to find GZ. Multis can be tricky.
Exactly where we initially thought it would be...don't be afraid to get your hands dirty!
16:42Doesn't look like there's anything anymore at Stop 8? And Stop 7 seems to be offering only fancy skincare at the moment.I did, however, have great success at Stop 5 and got some dark choc coated coffee beans, as well as a dark cardamom choc block. Expensive but oh so tasty!Final was a bit more challenging than I expected, not because of muggles but because I zoned into the wrong objects at first. Almost gave up, as I didn't have much time to search but eventually spotted another place worth checking, and there it was, safe and sound.Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, CamBendy!#10769
I worked out the coordinates before coming to Melbourne, and then happened to be staying very close to them, and even had dinner right there. Thanks to the hint, it was a quick find using the torch in my phone , and being nighttime, I was able to be pretty stealthy. Thanks for my first cache in Melbourne qualifying for the Victoria souvenir.
Set aside a lunchtime to go walking amongst the chocolate shops before seeking out the final prize. Quickly worked out what previous comments have mentioned: most of these waypoints have moved on.Nonetheless, fantastic corner of the city to browse. Final cache still in place, well hidden, excellent preservation of logbook history.
Had previously located the likely gz but around lunchtime there were way too many muggles about. In the city to meet a mate for breakfast so popped by and it was much quieter. Hands on it in no time, tftc
Arrived in Melb this morning from Brisbane. Were down to see port Adelaide play at the MCG tomorrow ! Whooohooooo.Round in circles a few times. Hillary led the way. I did the math. Team effort. TFTC, found with Hillary and muggle Matt.
I do like a multi - theyre my favourite cache type. And once I realised there were no numbers to collect and just chocolate to enjoy, I thought I was on a winner!Melbourne is such a dynamic city that obviously things have changed quite a bit since 2011 when this cache was published. Unfortunately 6 out of the 9 waypoints no longer exist in 2024. It would be brilliant if the CO could update the sites, as this is a great idea for a cache and it could be amazing for tourists visiting Melbourne. These were my hits and misses:S1 The Chocolate Box has relocated to Collins PlaceS2 No longer any sign of a chocolate bar here in what is now H&MS3 Melbourne Walk is a construction site - its dark but not because of any chocolate!S4 Success! Plain Dark Hot Chocolate saved my sanity. It was delicious S5 Haighs is still going very strong!S6 No idea - long gone?!S7 DittoS8 DittoS9 Thankfully the cache was just where it should be!

Day 13 of our roadtrip in Australia. Well, no roadtrip today, as we're now in Melbourne. The car will have a day off and we'll be exploring Melbourne walking the streets. The CBD seems quite compact, but we'll probably still walk a lot. As usual, we're combining sightseeing and geocaching. The city seems pretty cool, from what we've seen yesterday upon arrival. Identified the place from other pictures (coords are somewhat 50m away). But nothing come up when using a mirror, and we don't put our hands in such corners without seeing anything. Thanks and kind regards from Switzerland, Hinni&Simo
We kunnen terugkijken naar 2 mooie weken in Australi!NLBokkie and I are going on holiday to Australia for 4 weeks. We will go to Tasmania for the first week and then travel around on the "mainland" for 3 weeks. Along the way I'll meet my niece, I haven't seen her for 50 years. It will be a holiday full of experiences......Our cache goal is to visit different countries. So we fly back to Dubai and forth via HongKong. We would like to score an FTF in Australia. We do that in Tasmania Then the webcam caches in Adelaide and the old caches between Adelaide and Sydney. Then we end up at the Mega in Canberra. A full program which a lot of fun!Unfortunately, after 2 weeks we have to end our trip with an earlier return flight to the Netherlands. My mother passed away and we have to go back. We can look back at 2 beautiful weeks in Australia!

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today was travel day from Sydney to Melbourne.Due to the large number of caches, there is usually only one standard log, for which I would like to apologize to the different owners. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndy

Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

# 21399Whau, I am on a three week trip with Cacher-Reisen and a bunch of fellow geocachers to Australia and New Zealand. It is so odd to imagine that I am going to visit a place that is nearly on the opposite of the globe from my usual hangouts. In Denmark it is late winter/early spring, and I am exchanging the winter-part for late summer in Australia and early autumn in New Zealand. This is so exciting. The itinerary is Frankfurt (Germany), Doha (Qatar), Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns (Australia) and Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin, Cromwell, Queenstown (New Zealand) before flying back to Europe. That will be two new continents and three new countries for me - and as far away from home as I have ever been. It is a lot of places and travelling, but we also have a plan to find lots of geocaches and see the sights and beautiful nature. Next stop on our geocaching trip is Melbourne. We had a two night stay and left very early in the morning of the third night, so we had to make the most of the time. I had looked into the possibility of visiting Tasmania while I was here, because we very recently got a new queen in Denmark, Mary Donaldson from Hobart. However, we didn't have the time, and I enjoyed Melbourne just as well. On arriving it was a hot day, but the next day the temperature dropped 8-10 degrees to a more comfortable level for me.Uhm Chocolate. We tried to follow the steps in this multi, but that was not as easy as expected. In the end we skipped a few steps and tried to solve the task from the last waypoint. Near where we had calculated the cache we found a trio from our travelgroup, and we settled for signing our names to the logbook they had in hand. Hm, no chocolate...Tak for cachen til CamBendy.

After arriving in Melbourne we (Team Downunder24) discovered the city by looking for some caches. "The Chocolate Block" was one of them. We could find the needed informations and at the end the final box too. All was in good condition. Thanks CamBendy
Just arrived in Melbourne we startend with a nice sightseeingtour - the caches guided us . The chocolate theme is hard wehen you are hungry . Not all shops are still existing but nice idea. Thank you very much for the cache!
Nothing in the world beats a great chocolate shop and a tour of them is a great idea. This one was done over a period of time and I will admit to sampling some of the chocolates on offer at a few of them.Summer in Melbourne is great and with some nice weather finally it was an enjoyable walk around town. Finally back in the city and I just picked my time to look for this one as there was a break in the muggle traffic.Found it in the first place I felt so took a seat nearby and added my name to the log.Would love to take some chocolate home but a bit warm to be carrying it around. Thanks CamBendy TFTC.
Today is my last day in Australia for now. It's been a bit of an emotional day because this adventure has been so wonderful and I'm still not ready to farewell the people and places that have made it so special. But two things that help ease that feeling for me are walking and chocolate, and this multi has both, so I picked it as my first cache for today. I enjoyed looking around the different chocolate shops. Some were quite hard to find and some were very opulent and eye-catching. I ended up where I needed to be and found the cache in the first place I felt for it. It's in great condition and I replaced it same after signing.Thank you for the multi - it was (quite literally) sweet as! (#2124)
Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk First To Find: 149Sidetracked Cache Finds: 113In the city for an event at Federation Square today and hopefully, put some smiles on the map. Always great to be out caching but even better when doing it with geo friends. This is one of the caches we successfully found today, Cheers for the cache.
After looking for the Cache and failing the first day, I went back to give it another go. A lot of the shops were closed since the cache was made which made it somewhat difficult to follow the last step. Using some direction from the activity log pointed me in the right direction l and I was able to make the grab. TFTC!
Great multi! Enjoyed exploring the area. Do I get credit for a D5/T5 for braving Blueys Christmas?
We caught the train in from Beaufort this morning with the main goal being to attend an event in Brighton hosted by Swiss geocacher tante resi. Arriving in the city with an hour or so to spare, we made our way up to Bourke St Mall, then wandered around the arcades on our way to Flinders Street.Being a chocoholic, this cache was right up Chook's alley. Lots of lovely chocolate shops in this city! We even passed an official Chocoholics Tour group. The hint for the cache was greatly appreciated so it could make for a stealthy, quick and easy retrieval in between the passing muggles. All is good at GZ. Thank you for this multi cache CamBendy.
We have got way behind in our logging and are trying to catch up and get our caching in order.Life has been pretty hectic this year, and a lot of it has gotten in the way of efficient logging of finds. We want to thank all the Cache owners for providing an array of caches for us around our countryside and in our cities. We apologise for the generic logs. We must do this to get through the backlog.Unless otherwise specified, all the caches we found were in good order.Thank you, CamBendy, for this Traditional cache.
Got some chocolate frogs from Haigs when I was passing through as they had been highly recommended to me by a colleague a few months back. I didnt attend ALL of the choccy shops, that would have been dangerous as I was hungry. Made a quick find once I was in the right spot. Shame some of the places dont exist anymore but TFTC
I found myself in the CBD today with an hour or two to pass prior to my work engagement commencing, so took the opportunity to meander around and add a few more smilies to the map in order to pass the time. This was my first stop of the day. Im pretty sure it was the same work engagement this time last year that I started this cache, and made another stop or 2 around trips to the football throughout the year. Today I was left with 2 WPs + GZ to finish this cache, which I was able to do fairly quickly. With a screaming headache and staring down the barrel of an afternoon of varying beverages I elected to spectate rather than participate at the last few stops. My initial approach at GZ was correct, although my search was far from thorough enough, resulting in my spending a good 10 minutes checking out irrelevant spots before heading back to my initial location, conducting a more thorough search, and being rewarded for doing so.Thanks for placing this cache for us to find, a nice execution of a multi cache that proved different to most.
Quick find while out and about grabbing caches with LittleLeah79 in the CBD.TNLNSLTFTCTTFNBeaker DGS
A lovely walk around the closed chocolate shops, picked my time to do this for my belly.Enjoyed the waypoints and nice smiley before an event.
What better way to fill in time on a pleasant Sunday morning - looking for chocolate. Found this cache after a tour of the local area
Took a little while to figure out what I needed to do. Eventually made my way to GZ and looked around for something that matched the hint. Found a spot and searched around a bit, but didn't find anything. Looked at a few more spots and then went back to the first one and found it well hidden. Thanks for the Multi. Last physical cache of my trip to Melbourne ending with my favourite items...
Greetings from Ireland - this is a generic log for now until I return home / have WiFi - I want to log all finds now so I don't forget them.
FPs will be awarded at the time of this log (where applicable) so I don't forget them. Tftc!
Note - there are two identical containers here

Still in marvellous Melbs on a "fam retreat" and visit to the NGV so what better thing to do than a multi - but hey I've been here!! Bit of a late log but so memorable A FAVE for a chocolate block idea! I love wandering the arcades and being mesmerised by all and sundry - possibly a common syndrome for small country town folk! TFTC and the FUN!

After a long time I finally had the coordinates for the final but left it for an early morning stop to visit to avoid any muggle attention. There were a few around but none close by so I was able to do the required duties unnoticed.
Thanks CamBendy for the cache

Caching in my new back yard with my old caching buddy. Did lots of k's today. This one had us going around in circles a bit, but got there in the end. Chocolate Shop owners were left wiping drool off their windows everywhere we went.
I headed into the city to do some caching with day1976 in his new backyard (new as in nearly a year!). We freestyle cached with no plans as such. Ended up doing about 17.5km of walking by the end of the day.
I love chocolate! Peered in a few chocolate shop windows and drooling. Found the cache by the end luckily.

A great stroll! Cache quickly found at GZ thanks to an excellent hint. No one really gave me a second look!
Thanks.
Thanks.
Visiting from Port Macquarie.
Great little walk. A lot of foot traffic at GZ, but cache was easily to grab stealthily.

Finally got this one, arrived at go and very swiftly and quickly had the cache in hand
I absolutely love chocolate so this was an excuse to always get some chocolate in the city

I can't believe I finally got this one. It has been solved for ages but there has been too many muggles each time.
This time there were some gaps in traffic so I managed to make the quick retrieval. Tftc, love chocolate!

In the city for a conference and I thought I would collect a few geocaches while here. Obviously this was one of them. Collected a few early and a few after the event. Pleased that it was a lovely wintery day and still surprised how quiet the city is a peek hour compared to 5 years ago. No way would I have tried Melbourne City Square geocaching peak hour then.
I had solved this one a few years ago, but had never found the final. It had always been extremely busy anytime I had been in the area. However at 9 am today, stunned that it far fairly quiet and I was able to find the geocache in the second place I looked. Broke my pen trying to get the log out, but glad I had a few spares. Took longer to get the log out than find the cache.
Thanks for the cache Cam Bendy

After an earlier attempt today prior to attending the event A Frenchman in Melbourne, V1, we were assured that the cache was still there, but not where we had searched previously.
After the event Traveling Jack and I returned with several other attendees, to add our name to this tricky little devil.
Thanks CamBendy for another multi to add to my long list required for a challenge I’m working on to find 1000 of them, and to Traveling Jack for his research and company.

Find 15 of 20, first on a wet and cold 12km bike ride out to the MCG in the morning, then a 7km walk around the CBD in the afternoon when it dried right up and cooled right down! Coming from Perth's autumn warmth we underestimated just how chilled we would get here.
Mrs O had done the armchair work so we just had to locate the cache. The GPS was all over but the hint was enough to make the find.
TFTC CamBendy!

Did someone say chocolate? Down in Melbourne for a long weekend with the family to visit family and footy and of course a sneaky cache here and there. I did the leg work to find this cache before our trip but while down in Melbourne have also been past a lot of chocolate waypoints. I was so excited when i managed to find the cache in the second place i felt. Great idea for a multi . Thanks for all the fun.
A second urban cache found between passing muggles and using the guidance provided by the hint that helped me sure up its location. tftc
Find # 11872
Found while spending a day in the city with sharkiefan.
A great walk around the CBD. And quite a good hide location.

On our last evening in Melbourne we could not resist to spend some quality time doing some more caching. This is such a high muggle location so a lot of stealth is required. The only distraction we had was a fire truck who attracted the muggle eyes allowing a quick retrieve. We had the best liquid salted centred truffle along the way. TFTC.
A bit of time to kill before dinner, so tackled this multi.
Chocolate… mmmmmm
My weakness.
Thanks for bringing me here by placing this cache, CamBendy

Found it! Requires some serious acting skills to lean/play with your phone on this busy pedestrian crossing. Thanks for the "sweet" journey
I arrived in Melbourne this morning an a flight down from Brisbane for an extended weekend stay with my wife. Some previous travel had been cancelled due to Covid and we were now using up some flight credits before they expired.
After checking in to our accommodation we headed out to visit some galleries and museums, but along our walk I was able to stop at a few caches including this one.
I am a bit of a sucker for chocolate so thought it best to visit the various waypoints virtually beforehand to protect the waistline. A peruse of Streetview established a possible hiding location and heading to GZ today my hunch proved correct and I laid my hand straight on the cache. Despite the muggle foot traffic I was able to retrieve and replace the cache without attracting attention. TFTC

Arrived at the location to see some muggles parked on the bench nearby. Will return another day
Day 11 of our Australia Tour 2023, which we spent in Melbourne. We got lost soon, but in the end we walked directly to GZ.
Thanks!
Thanks!

A day spent in and around the C.B.D. Quite an adventure, so many changes and of course such a variety of caches waiting to be found, including this taste tempter, although it must be mentioned that it has been on the geo- gameboard for 11 years!
Thanks to CamBendy for adding this cache to the gameboard.

During a wet rainy stroll, we thought we’d knock this one off. No chocolate shops were open at the time of attempt so straight to final WP we went.
After searching a few things, RC took a step back and tried something else - Bingo. CIH!
Tftc. Can’t wait for a hot choccy!

We had a long weekend in Melbourne city and were working our way through a variety of different cache types over the weekend. We started this cache on the Saturday, making a purchase at the first waypoint, enjoying the afternoon stroll. The final however was not found until the evening on the Monday. With our calculated coordinates, we wandered along the main street and then all of a sudden decided to look intently at the shop window displays. I was happy that my hand went straight to the container. What a nice hiding spot.
The log sheet was signed on a nearby bench, and all was secretly replaced. Thanks very much for a pretty straightforward multi that we all enjoyed Cambendy. Cheers

We are in the CBD tonight for a performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and we had time for cache before we needed to be at the theatre. Lyn had done a little research and we soon had the coordinates. But how to find and retrieve the cache without looking obvious. Fortunately I managed to locate the container by feel and then retrieve it. We moved away to sign and then had to wait for a smoker to move on. The cache was replaced without an issue. Now off to the Regent! Thanks to CamBendy for the cache.
Don't have the coin to spend that much on chocolate, a Delicacy I can hopefully one day indulge in. We did enjoy the cache however, particularly the final. Sneaky right in the middle of the city. Brilliant thanks for the tour!
After some help from previous finder was able to log. Just enjoyed lunch and tour of Manchester Unity building. TFTC
