Up this way with ABCDF4 for a few daysSo to the CO for making our time away enjoyable
Oh dear, an overgrown blackberry jungle, lost some skin, bleeding and covered in mud . We’re defeated and bailing out now. Thanks anyway
Easter Monday and time to collect some more caches. Decided to head back to Stillwater today as this is a walk we enjoy and still havent found all the caches yet. Made a nice quick find here not sure what are problem was on our previous visit.
Quick find.
Track was rather wet to get to it .
Other than that everything is good.
Thanks G-2

A quick find although the track isn’t as well delineated as it probably once was. Cache damp and logbook fragile but able to be signed. TFTC.
Headed up this way again as we spotted a trail of challenge caches we had qualified for, so thought to make a day of it...Joined by team HeMaLuDy, well actually HeMa only .....
Parked up and headed along the trail to this cache ....
Luckily the weather was on point for the walk, but still managed to get soaking socks as the grass was saturated from the days before rain and a heavy due this morning...
The cache was all good.
TFTC.

The Stik-A-Crane's planned to do this costal walk and a nearby series on a road. Mr and Mrs HeMaLuDy decided to join them for the adventures. Beautiful weather allowed us to really enjoy this very pleasant coast line. Followed the hint for a nice quick find of the container. TFTC
Why are there gateposts here, apart from so that there is somewhere to hide a cache.
Micro wanted to take a photo of Max the Tiger at each cache and if that’s what motivates him to get to the next one, that’s fine with me! Quick find and all good here. Thanks for the poster-cache!
Getting late and starting to rain so Ed took a quick detour to grab this one while Soapy kept the kids on the main track. TFTC
Out for a drive with my daughter and happened to find ourselves close to some hides ️ thanks for this one
We leve still water and head to the big smoke via a low tide estuary crossing yay.
So we make our way around the head land to wate for ow tide. Its a bit like watching the jug boil takes for ever .
So I hade plenty of time to pick up this one.
With log signed on my way south .
Living life one foot steep at a time as i walk from cape reinga to bluff and caching my way home as I walk the
Te Araroa and discover the hidden treasures new Zealand has to offer.

Sick of working from home during lockdown, I've taken the day off to spend with my girls. A nice morning for a walk - this was our first find. Thanks!
Mr Coblet looked in one spot and Mrs Coblet looked in the other and Mrs Coblet claimed the find.
An interesting area, some very experienced woodcutters seem to have been working here recently and left some of their perfectly sliced offcuts behind. TFTC.

Find number 6598. Decided to do a couple of days caching in the area. With an emphasis to try to clear the Dalmatians. After parking up in Riverhead and riding the bicycle from there. I only got a few done before the batteries on my GPS went flat and when I lost phone coverage I had to change plans. In the end I ended up with 29 caches today and spent the night at Murawai.
Day 2 was. Murawai, Dalmations and then onto Orewa for the night. Another 50 caches done.
Day 3 was Shakespear and Stillwater. 29 More caches before heading home to Hamilton. Lots of long grass on the track to GZ, Pile of wood there as well but not affecting the hide.
Thank you for the placement.

Beautiful day out! Pleased to say we found it, cash is in good condition but paper is a bit wet. Ttftc awesome spot
Made the walk over for this one but its not my day for caches on posts by the looks of things.
Out and about for some cache finding fun today. Taking advantage of the fine, yet cool weather to get some exercise along the northern section of the Okura Bush Walkway. The track is much wetter and muddier than I expected. Luckily I chose hiking boots for this trek. Once at GZ I found this one in the very first place I checked. Looks like there are dark clouds ahead. I may be in for a shower. Cheers for the cache placement!
Hint is all about. Another plesant find in the area of Stillwater Reserve. All good at GZ. TFTC
We'd had our eye on this track and series for the last 3-4 years, and the mission of this summer was to complete it. Mission complete, but our geosense was definitely off today, or was it the new GPS. Not the post I thought it was, Mr T got this one right, thanks
I suggested to Mr & Mrs Beconaze we go for a walk - the walk for me and mrs beconaze, this walk so Mr beconaze could zoom off ahead of us and collect the caches while we meandered along.
I read out the clue as we walked towards the spot, and Mrs Beconaze literally looked down and picked it up. We're all part of a team, even if my part of the team seems to be navigating, not finding right now... right? That's what you get when you are the only one who has downloaded the caches offline, and their phones are suffering from bad service

It was a nice day for a walk so Jag50, Aiden29 and I headed here for the day. We spent too much time investigating the wrong place before spotting the right place. Mr Jag removed the sopping wet log and we replaced it with some new waterproof paper
We headed out to do part of the Okura Bush walk with Jag50 and Merlot58. Once we got to GZ we focused on a number of wrong hint locations and were about to walk on, when we turned around and saw another possibility. Sure enough, Mr Jag found the cache here.
We were heading out to walk the Okura Bush walk with Aiden29 and Merlot58. This one took longer to find than it should have as we found several items matching the hint item. Mr JAG took the honours for finding this one. The log was wet, so added a new piece of waterproof paper.
Found cache in very wet condition as it was not properly closed. Log was mush.
Aired out container and replaced the log with a fresh dry one and properly closed it. TFTC

Having done the Okura Bush Walkway South of Dacre Cottage last summer I thought I'd tackle the North side with the kids... although I had no idea it would be so muddy This was the 1st find of the day and once we'd located the correct post it was an easy find. The log was pretty wet so I replaced the ziplock with a new dry one, TFTC!
Just discovered I missed one, never mind, I will be back
So at last its official, I am on the Okura estuary walkway! its after 2pm, I left home at 11am, woops...
Found fairly quickly, sadly the log was soaked, but was able to scribble my name. Thanks for the hide, and bringing me here.

I missed this one on the way out, but spotted another possibility on the return. TFTC.
Saw skinks running around on the path and the fallen tree, healthy signs of wildlife around here. Cache easily found and left water bottle at GZ as I headed along to the next one.

After nearly meeting Tufty yesterday where I found signs of his caravan but not him, I later encountered him at the Okura walkway and he filled me in the Piggy in the middle story, ahh that makes sense now.
Another weekend day in Auckland and still have the car my friend lent me to get round and see the sights (Geocaching). Todays plan was a many splendored thing; start off with a Wherigo and an Earthcache, clear the new caches off the 101 Dalmation road(s), do few at each end of the Stillwater/Millwater walkway at Okura Bush, dinner with my Aunt in Kumeu before returning car to Greenhithe around 7pm. A few targets and a wonderful days weather for my efforts too, nice one Auckland cachers! Managed to grab quality caches for the most part and a nice round number of 33 for the day was just the ticket.

evilno9, TheMexican and I spent a fruitless five minutes before we realised there was another post we hadn't seen initially. A nice easy find from there. Nice hide, TFTC

After a nearby DNF I wandered over to this spot and thankfully it was a quick find and off. TFTC
Initially looked in wrong spot which was very prickly! Re evaluated and quick find
Looked for a while in the wrong place before finally resorting to look at my phone and the GPS [:o], TFTC
Kiwi & Scotty out enjoying an early afternoon walk collecting a couple of caches for our daily streak. This is an area we have never really visited before. Strange sight and sounds as we approached gz. A pair of honking Paradise ducks perched at the top of a nearby dead (but still standing) tree. Tree ducks......... not your everyday sight, Another quick find with the use of the hint. Cuddlefish pathtag collected. TFTC
We were out doing some tree planting in the area, so after we decided to go for a walk and have lunch on the beach followed by a few local caches.

I searched for a little while before I saw the obvious, should have worn my boots today instead of running shoes. A very 'wetty walk' under foot finishing of the powertrail.
Found with quinella. Didn't see 2 muggles approach who thought we must've lost our fox terrier down a hole. What to say??? Tftc
Out grabbing the Northern part of the Oakura walk today. Despite the weather forecast it's turned out brilliant.
Geosenses were spot on. Found with no trouble.
Find #461. Thanks for the cache. 1/06/2014 13:40

Stay away from "Thorn in my side" (or in your legs). Left a painting smurf as a guardian and later gift for the next kids.
No luck for this one either. I hope it's still in place, considering all the DFNs. It could be though, 'cause I wasn't at the top of my game today ^^. Thanks for the hide.
Lots of wasps at GZ today, not game to poke around due to the caching kids and the dnfs logged recently
What a nice day to take the doggies out for a run. We now it's mentioned no dogs. But now from locals that dogs are allowed untill the "real no dog signs". So off for a nice walk
But here it went wrong. While running, Xento runs against my leg and my ankle said "Ouch". After a bit of recovery went on with our walk, but it wasn't going as fluent as before.
Unfortunately we couldn't find that cache. We also have got a couple of ouches when looking, but no find

On our way to Dacre Cottage and back as well we looked for this cache. But couldn't find it. What a pity.
Frustrating one and reading the logs made us wonder why we were saying ouch the whole time during our search. After we stopped saying ouch, we found it

I don't usually like cut / paste / template logs but will make the occasional exception for 'power' trails. And this trail was indeed 'exceptional'. Started off at the Okura end just before 8am and was back in the car by about 1.45pm having made it all the way to Stillwater and back. I loved the variety in the terrain, although some of the up and down was quite hard work and I loved the variety in the caches too. This one took a lot longer to find than it should have done as I overthought the hint. Eventually got at the right angle and spotted the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
I enjoyed a great afternoons walk on the Okura bush walkway through to Stillwater this afternoon with Yeetrees and gonefishing. The caches along the way really were an added bonus. I'd recommend this walk to anyone!! Two visits for me here today, I returned after the Mega Dinner to look for my sunglasses clip-ons, thankfully they were an "instant find in the first place I looked". Cheers and TFTC
Another small detour off the main track. Enjoyed this end of the walkway today.
Cache was an easy one, thanks.
The trail is a good mix of hard and easy.

Found during the Mega weekend. The weather turned out to be much better than expected, and we enjoyed exploring all the walkways, nooks and crannies. Many thanks to all the owners of the great caches we found.
