Logs
Out and about again today, this time with Lshaesully. All's quiet on the track today. Nice quick find at gz. TFTC
Had to follow other readers' logs for this one. 4m from gz on our phones but we got there
We cleared out the coast side of this area so moved the car to the Wattleup side because there was a couple that needed smileys. We enjoyed the walk to gz even with the heat of the day setting in. Once at gz we made a nice quick find and and sat in shade as we added our names to your log. We returned your cache back to where we found it. Its always good to do a welfare check on one that hasnt been found for awhile and the cache is doing fine but I dont think its in its original hiding spot but still very much at gz. TFTC Allied Pranksters and Keego and Chil.
Out with axell33 for smilies around here. We moved the car from the coast side to Wattleup for better access. It was pretty warm out here now so we just got on with it. A good walk to gz and a quick find. Not exactly hiding as described but at gz. We made our mark and returned the cache, which is doing very well!. Enjoying the historical stories. Thanks for the hide here.
found host but saw many snake holes and didnt feel great will come back during winter
Pleasant walk along the path and deviated off for a nice quick find. After a week off Tuesday night caching with I C Nothing and Monkeywand was back on the table with the mission for the evening collecting the last caches available in the Henderson bushland.Started off down the southern end of the reserve before making our way to our second stop and finishing off the northern caches we missed a couple of weeks back.By the time I headed for home I had 12 finds and 0 DNFs. Thanks Allied Pranksters for placing AP 271 Pioneers Mahogany for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 20:55 on 12/9/2023.This is find number 7640 for me.
Monkeywand, I C Nothing and Cirrus_wa out for another Tuesday night adventure. We found your cache easily and in good condition. Signed MIC. Tftc
Out on a Sunday arvo run to find a few caches and complete some maintenance. Cheers Allied Pranksters!
Another quick and easy one on a nice stroll in the park.
Thanks to the COs for the cache.

Maybe this one is too hard. Will drop the difficulty down and go for the boring old 200ml cache on 9th Sept unless there is one objection to the change.
I had a few hours to myself today and with a fine weather day what better way to spend it than caching!
Spent a decent amount of time here to no avail. Will watch to see when the next find is made to be sure it is still there. Lots of green ground cover.

Too hard for me today, already found about 30 and phone battery dying so did not want to spend too much time after seeing alot of DNFs and CO also having trouble finding his own cache.
Sadly though I did spend about half hour looking, as phone is dying I may need to go back and read more found logs as this is definitely tricky.
My spidey sense was not working, although I went through plenty of webs searching and feel like I may have a few spidey hitch-hikers on me...eeek!
I'll be back Allied Pranksters and Keego and Chil

No luck but I will think about this one and if I get back out here I will have another look.
Our only dnf for the day but with our 2 devices giving 2 very different GZ options we knew it was going to be difficult to locate a micro here.
Third time here, took ages to find but got it in the end. Signed and put back. Thanks for the hide
I knew this one would be tricky, but searched for a long while, couldn't find it despite reading old logs, I will return
This one had me going for a while. I definitely trampled the bush and turned over a lot of ground before I stopped and read prior logs. After that it still took me 5 minutes to make that aha moment. Favourite point added for the great camo.
Had a nice afternoon riding the MTB around Beeliar Regional Park. I found 11 caches from 11 attempts. I saw a tiger snake sunning itself on the sandy path parallel to Rockingham Rd too.

A looked for a short while before reading the clues again from previous logs. Thought I’d give it another look, turned around and there it was. I swear it wasn’t there a moment ago
Thanks for the hide.
Thanks for the hide.
2 hours spent caching in the area on foot and this was my only DNF. I spent 30mins here, searched everywhere, read the logs but still nada. Eventually I just got frustrated, swore and left. Grrrrrr. I beat me.
Nice piece of work here; thanks AP and K&C. We enjoyed the search and loved the find. Great that you've made the effort and taken the time to set up and maintain this baby. As you'd know; the cache and log are in great shape here.
Looked for about 15 mins where I placed cache. And I knew what I was looking for. Replaced log.
Looked for a good 15mins but to no avail. Ill have to return with more eyes to get this one
Hi Allied Pranksters and Keego & Chil, I found your AP 271 Pioneers Mahogany. SL TFTH.
Wow - this clever little sucker took ages!!! Truly was giving up but got there and couldn't be happier.
Gps was bouncing around and sent me to a few possible good hiding spots but the final direction was correct. Tftc

This one led us a merry dance around. The GPS would not settle one minute it was reading 1m to go then it would read 6m. We looked here we looked there but could we see the obvious, then out it popped, Hmmm had walked over that area twice before, anyway we had the little sucker in hand and the log was soon signed and replaced before moving onto the next cache.
Tested our patience and tenacity, but found eventually, easy to overlook this 'natural' object, until you question: does it naturally belong HERE? Sat on fallen but still live tree to complete the log, interesting. Look out for the rabbit warrens. TFTC!
TFTC! After collecting a bunch of new caches around the atwell area I came down to complete the Pioneers series of caches which have been on my radar for quite some time. Was a nice walk, would have been better on bike, with a good variety of caches and experiences. Thanks
Great camo - I've learnt to look for what seems out of place with this series!!! TFTC
Finally!! In the end it wasn't hard at all. Don't let the title fool you - just trust your GPS (heard that before?)
In the area so came back for another try. Failed again!! Since someone found it recently, we will be back!
We did the walk up to Mt Brown and the view on a clear day was magnificent.

I saw an object and as I approached I whispered "please be it. Please be it. Please be it." And it was! Then I turned around and got poked in the face with a pointy branch.
But that's ok. Geo-scars are cool. TFTC.

Nearly gave up on this one but we adopted Dave's ruse of saying we were going & up it popped. TFTC
On the way to work, i decided to detour and get my morning caching fix. And the longer days mean it's actually light
I decided to tackle this series and up around the lake. Left the car at 5.10am and back at 7.05 for 12 finds and a DNF A very enjoyable early morning walk.
I'm Looking forward to meeting other geocachers at WA GOES BIG IN 2015, in Busselton.

Two of us search for a good 30 minutes but to no avail - will try again another day.
Unlike others who have visited, my GPSr had no problem settling on a GZ. I was unable to locate a cache at the GZ. Thanks anyway.
Our only DNF for the day. We were at it for ages too! Will return with a fresh mind another day.
Decided that today was finally going to be the day that I got out the mountain bike and headed through this bit of bushland collecting caches. I parked near GC4MB50 and headed in. This one took me the longest to find today, spent a good 15 minutes searching the nearby trees. Turned around and saw something I hadn't yet seen, and sure enough, there it was. TFTC.
Tricky little one this one. Took me a while but I got him in the end. Great camo, thanks.
An RDO today along with some great weather saw me dusting off the mountain bike to turn some of these icons into smileys. I really enjoyed this area and there was a great variety of caches (with some very clever camos) and hiding spots, not many muggles either! Too many flies though
I spent about two and a half hours total here and only had 2 DNF's. TFTC Allied Pranksters

Out on the last day of the Great Scout Geocaching competition and trying to get the lead in the Cubs section for WA. Will have to see how the other cubs go. Thanks for all the caches we had fun!!!
Out with patfam (geofamily) to get caches on last day of great scout competition. I hope to be on the leader board for the joeys section. Thanks for the caches
out on a geocaching run trying to keep my lead on the last day of the great scout geocaching competition doing a few in Coogee and mount lake brown are TFTC's
Found lots of Mozzies, but no cache - will come back shortly on another dog walk to find this one. TFTH
Second try on this one, determined to get it while the weather was good - with the sun beating down, far less mozzies to be eaten by. Finally got this one after spotting something slightly out of place. TFTC Allied Pranksters
Tadpole was relentless but still no go. Stumped and mauled by mozzies. Gotta get back for this one.
Mmmm, have a bit of Swan River Mahogany under foot at home and it is now going to be a constant reminder that we couldn't get out hands on this one!! Have no fear...we will return to finish series (had to stop due to rain) and revisit our DNFs. Thanks for the brain tease Allied Pranksters.
Finally found it! On the second time out, giving up a few times during the search due to excessive mozzie and midges. Nothing in the comments helped too much. Did have to walk in and out several times for GPS to settle. Really amazing feeling when you find it though
Decided to give it another go, finally found it with juzzzz and geo_kg! Thanks
What a great day to go cacheing, sun was out on a fine winters day.
Geodaughter had a friend over so we took her cacheing and created a new cache nut.
Excellent nano Allied Pranksters, very sneaky camouflage.

Took a little while but got the smily. The last two DNF had me expecting a similar outcome so this one is a bonus. I did use c:geo on my Android at first and it was jumping around a bit so I deployed my Garmin 60CSX which a little more accurate. I still found it was best to place them on the ground in a cleared area and then pace off in the general direction.
Initially I assume a strong link between the story of the pioneer and the hide but got that wrong this time round. Having found similar hides in the past I was keeping this in mind as well. Thankfully it paid off this time
Thanks for challenge. All is good with the cache.
Oh I found a Munzee across the path as well so a nice little bonus

No luck too many trees which one as GPS won't settle down grr... so DNF for me. Thanks AP and Keego....
[:o)] A nice day, I parked in the park off the road and wandered down the path to the location required. I have lost count of the wanders down this track
[8] [8] TOday it was a quick find, I don't know how I missed it on previous occasions, and would you now it, the scribble stick decided that it would not work, I made some scratchings and will be back again to write my name [:o)]
Thanks Keego and Chil for the cache and this series , it took some time but now achived. [^]
This is my find number 2173

[:(!] Went for a caching run for the day, after doing the Periodic Table run, we then continued on our caching run once again and we decided to give this series a go, parked the geocar at the Henderson Cliffs car park and I rode the geobike from there and the geowife then picked me up at the corner of Cockburn Road and Success Way, on arrival at GZ and within minutes I had the cache in hand.

Luckily for us the GPSr has been playing the game today and I easily spotted the cache Maybe it was just luck as there certainly is alot of spots that a cache could hide around here TFTC Allied Pranksters, it was a nice spot to recharge the batteries here, as Master 3 seems to be getting a tad tired now after going flat-out for the previous caches [|)]
Found @ 13:29.
Thought I would try to get all the caches around Beeliar Park today. This was find #12!
Being new here, it is good to find out a bit about the history of the area.
Was a little stumped with this one, but noticed a familiar something at GZ that looked a little out of place...!

Found this one after attending the numbers event in Rockingham. This one proved to be the most difficult cache of the entire series for us. But we refused to give up, and found the little blighter eventually. Wasn't what I was looking for though... Should know by now never to make presumptions when it come to an AP cache. Thanks Allied Pranksters
