A nice find, missing tacks. Ten bucks took me to it. Will be back with family.

26-Apr-24
This is a great cache and I completed it years ago but after a recent DNF I was contacted asking if I knew the way. I helped Splatplays to complete this one but there are missing geotacks, plant growth covering geotacks along the route, and the final location has no geotacks at all. This makes the cache basically impossible to do for a first time visit. I will reach out to the cache owner and see if we can help/organise some maintenance.

14-Apr-24
Dnf. Came here with kids. No geotacks where found. Walked most of the track.

25-Mar-22
Finally. But needed help from another. Tried it day and night. Thanks

21-Mar-21
Found but pretty hard to follow course and to read the metal plaque. Thanks for the hide.
Perhaps CO could do some maintenance in making it easier for kids.

30-Sep-20
This one is a long way from home so I knew I would never be here after dark. I used a keen eye and common sense to complete this one during the day. Not as fun as it would have been at night but I did have entertainment in the form of a neighbors goat playing and jumping along the fence line. Great cache. Made some swaps. TFTC and have a fav.

12-Apr-20
I LOVE THIS! We don't normally do multi-caches but I noticed this one said it was a night cache- whooooo, that got us excited and it didn't disappoint! One of the most enjoyable hunts so far. We placed quite a few new trinkets in the cache for the kids on future night adventures.

29-Mar-20
Awesome one for the youngsters. They really loved this.

After dropping FlyingPigSquadron off at the airport we decided to continue on our way and Cache Armadale. We had a wonderful time, the weather was perfect and the caches interesting.
Thanks Keego_and_Chil, for your cache.

05-Oct-16

Headed out with the geodaughter Kristybelle to pick up a few caches that have been on the to do list for a while. The weather was great for bush walking today and it was great to see all the wildflowers out.
It was hard doing this one during the day but it was a pleasant walk and we managed to make our way to GZ and find the cache quickly. A fav point for this one TFTC Keego and Chil

Out with richlinks and everlasting for a day of caching...TFTC

02-Oct-16
Decided to take a chance with the weather after yesterdays atrocious state. Although overcast, grey and a bit chilly it was perhaps the perfect day to tackle the Armadale Tails series and a couple of others along the way. This night time cache we had started a few years back when we did some of the VC series. Decided since we were here we'd try to finish it off, having four pairs of eyes to assist in finding the last waypoint. Luck was on our side and we soon had the ammo can in hand and recorded our joint visit with Everlasting and JacobsCrew. Thanks K &C

Enjoyed accompanied with Richlink and JacobsCrew. The weather didn't so bad - no rain phew!.
It was good fun and bushland - pretty wild flower - see Richlink's comment .. [^][^]

Fav from me [^]

Thanks Keego_and_Chil for organising the cache and hunt [^]

21-Jul-16
TFTC! Spent the day out caching with Cravo10 on our usual Thursday outing. We've spent a fair amount of time recently cleaning up a bunch of caches near the Rockingham and Baldivis areas so we decided to change things up a bit and head to the Armadale area to cleanup the new couple of cache series by the Armadale visitor centre, the Victoria cross series and a few odd ones along the way.

We were a bit unsure of what to expect with the poor weather that had been around for a couple of days and what was forecast today so we decide to play it by how things were on the day. As it turned out it was perfect caching weather, a little bit of drizzle and intermittent showers to keep the muffles away but just enough that it was bearable for caching and a nice cool temperature for the bush walks we intended on completing.

We completed the two settlers common series of caches quite quickly before attempting a bunch of the VC series to get the bonus box. Unfortunately two caches in the series appear to be musing and we couldn't complete the series, even though we tried to force the co ords by grid searching the area. Alas we couldn't find the ammo box, have emailed the CO and hopefully they can help us out.

A good day out if not for our shoes getting a bit too wet and making walking with water in the shoes a little bit fun. Thanks to the COs for the days caching. Cheers

21-Jul-16
Out and about with barnzy12 again today. Today the weather wasn't great to start with however this didn't delay out start at all. As usual Steve headed to work for a few hours and then I was able to pick him up.

The mission today was some of the new series published last week and as such meant that we didn't need to drive to far today. All up only around 50km for this Thursday's efforts not Too bad at all.

By the time we hit the trails the weather almost had cleared and only some light rain lingered. It was however still a little cold but once we got into it evening was great.

All caches were found in good condition TFTH TFTC

This was my second night cache and it did not dissapoint! Had some gps troubles and I took a wrong turn at the fork but I got there in the end. Tftc

29-Apr-16
Found this one with Chooke and Alias the adventure dog but had a little trouble following the tacks. I am not sure if some of them are missing or what not, the ones we could not follow we just walked on following the path for a little bit until we saw the next tack. TFTC

29-Apr-16
You may want to stick a few more tacks in the trail as I believe some may have disappeared .

12-Mar-16
Couldn't find this one.

05-Mar-16
Thought we had logged this already and found it sitting in our pending file! DOH!

This cache was brilliant. We had an awesome time night caching with a ton of kids and this did not disappoint Smile

Well we stood at the trailhead, pointed our torches east (even though we didn't really need them as it was still quite light) and looked. And looked and looked for about 15 mins at all the trees in the vicinity but ... we couldn't see a marker. How disappointing! I assume we're looking for a metal tag tacked onto a tree? We walked down the path for about 300m looking for other waypoints but we just couldn't see anything. Boo-hoo.

06-Jan-16
Could not find it (the waypoint)

05-Jul-15
I wanted a find a cache with more than 10 Favourite points for the Geocaching Road Trip and with 14 Favourite points this cache fitted my need perfectly. I also have 2 other caches like this planned, but this is 'insurance'. A pleasant walk around the pathway shortly after sundown (not full dark) and finished in the full dark roughly 40 minutes later. It appeared that one or two points may be missing (I didn't see any for about 100 meters?) but the description said keep to the bitumen, which I did and the last tree was recognised quite easily. This was where things went purple for me. I had read the cache notes very quickly earlier and with no ammo box to be found thought the cache may have been muggled. Also thinking 'outside the square', I walked to the end of the bitumen looking for more fire-tacks and found ... nothing, so I returned to the tree with the three fire-tacks. At this stage I looked around a few black-boys to no avail and after humming and harr'ing for a good 5 minutes I decided to look at the cache notes again (I had them in my GPS. That done I found the tag and the cache quickly.
May I suggest that the CO highlight the tag with 6 or 8 fire-tacks so people like me can see it please? - I had bent down and must have almost bumped it with my head while looking around the base of that tree! Red Face
After finding the cache I signed the log but in the container I found a new cache container and log (which I quickly fell into my cache bag - it will appear as a new cache close by to my home in the very near future (once I find a good place for it). T: new cache container and log book, several small Bali purses and some geo-badges etc, SL. Thanks to Keego and Chil for a great kids cache (yeah! I know I'm a bit too old for Kiddies caches but it was the Child in me (not the adult Wink ) that went geocaching tonight.

Our second night cache for the night. We soon picked up the trail and followed them around. A few sounds of the night and a few Roos crashing about. No real problems with the fire tacks and we soon found the tag with the co ords. A polish up of the tag and the numbers for GZ were confirmed. A short walk to GZ and an easy find in a typical bush setting. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.

10-Apr-15
There are kids caches and then there are kids caches... This wins the kids vote for favourite hands down!!! A must for all families. TFTC we will bring some swaps along this week with our geo cousins who the kids say must come do this cache Smile

13-Dec-14
Carried the torch for the group and followed the dots. Nice night for a walk, but watch out for spider webs.

12-Dec-14
Set out on a beautiful starry night with Malpractice & Brandoniann with his significant other, who is the GeoDaughter (as well as the 'not so Geodaughter') 2 do some night caching. With a little bit of a stumble on our first attempt elsewhere, we thought we might try one with a little less overgrowth & a path - always good 2 start a off simple & work ur way up!

This was great fun & would certainly recommend to all, even for those of us without young kids - nice mix of an evening stroll with a little caching thrown in for good measure.

Just watch out for the 'Cache Guardian' - even the older kids scream!

22-Nov-14
Good one easy definitely great for kids

22-Nov-14
Really liked this trail. Possibly has something to do with the fact that it was our 3rd night cache and this one didn't require bush bashing or steep climbs (my knee thanks you)
Tftf I love night trails, I think we need more! I shall see what I can do about that Wink

10-Oct-14
We were headed out for some night caching with my family (jasenjanine), Kyzabra & jinta29 & this was one of the caches we found on our night time adventure Big Grin

Thanks for the fun Keego_and_Chil [^] I loved this cache!

10-Oct-14
After planning a night caching expedition with Kyzabra for well over a year, finally we had found a night suitable so that all of us could be in attendance... The night was arranged & jinta29 came along to enjoy the fun with us too Smile After enjoying a BBQ not far from here, we were very excited to be heading of on this night time adventure... The kids even more so as they ran ahead of us, screaming for joy each time they found another marker! As we made our way around we all kept in contact by coo-eeing and flashing our torchlights through the bush Big Grin

The kids were on the ball & quickly found the marker leading us to the final cache... Once plugged in to the GPSr, the kids were soon on the hunt & more screams were let out! Maybe because of the spider guarding the cache, but more likely because they just found an ammo box Cool

Thanks for placing this night cache Keego_and_Chil [^] You found the perfect area to place it & we all had fun doing something a little different from our usual game! *Recommended* Big Grin

Back up and running, beware the path does have bumps in it now due to regrowth.

10-Oct-14
jasenjanine and i had been trying to organise a night caching evening for some time now and the planets finally aligned today.
i called Jinta29 as well cause they are always up for a family friendly caching run.

Kids packed, bbq packed, caching supplies packed.

This was our primary target for the night and after checking with the CO it was right to go, we headed out.

The kids bounded off while the parents wandered behind. The men detoured for the traditionals while the women folk tried to keep up with kids. We could hear their laughter in the distance so we knew we were t far behind.

The reflectors were easily spotted and were able to find the coords for our favorite type of cache, an ammo can, easily.

I grabbed the TB from this to continue its journey.

I loved this cache Keego_and_Chill. The kids had a ball and were asking "where's the next night cache ?" A favorite point from me and the kids.

Thanks Keego_and_Chil for your cache K & C 111 - Kiddies Night Time Trail. We found it on 2014-10-10 at 7:10 pm. This was my find number 2065

A night time caching adventure with kyzabra and jasenjanine. The kiddies were all full of excitement here and they ran on ahead lighting the way. We got separated from them at one point but the ladies caught up with them while the makes headed iff to grab another traditional not too far away!
A great walk and heaps of fun had by all, thanks for getting this back up and running K and C.
A well deserved favourite here from us

We have been waiting for the planets to align correctly for a crack at this one, and tonight was the night, Mrs Joker had the day off work, I had the night off work, the kids were on school holidays with a friend sleeping over. So after the movie despite it being late we packed up the car with everyone, including a couple of umbrellas and several torches.

The rain had eased off by the time we drove the 20 minutes to the starting point, I was nice and dark due to the cloud cover and the trail worked a treat! The kids raced ahead with excited chatter all the way, we spotted frogs, crickets and heard a myriad of other night time critters, it was a excellent adventure and the excitement of the kids added to the experience.

The rain held off for most of the walk with the umbrellas only being used now and then, the final was found and then the excitement really kicked off when I told them they were allowed a prize each.

Dropped off Norfolk's Indiana after taking him to a few caches.

Thanks K & C for the night adventure. A fave point awarded as pointed out by the kids for a most awesome cache.

Nice easy find, great view, very well stocked cache which we left for the kiddies! TFTC Keego and Chil!

31-Aug-13
That wa lots of fun. When we pulled up it started to rain so we thought it would be a bit of a slog but after about 5 minutes the rain stopped and we could make our way to the start of the Night time trail.
The markers were easy to spot and we could make good time as we followed them.
We had a feeling of the likely concept but ignored that and enjoyed the walk. There is something magical about walking at night in the bush.
One torch gave up the ghost but the other kept of shining till the end.
The cache was well stocked and we left it like that so the kiddies can enjoy the finds.
Thanks for a special cache and one we loved finding.

21-Jun-13
We had found this after a night out a few nights ago with Me&B we knew our grand children would love this one so we waited took them. They all had a great time finding the next one and then it took them ages to pick a prize, dropped exchanges in and signed log. Thanks keego and Chil this was out first night time cache and it was great fun. A favourite from us.

14-Jun-13
Decided to stop for this one on way home from new AP series....always fun looking for those firetacks...and great views of the lights of surburbia below....a favourite point.....thanks Keego_and_Chil

14-Jun-13
MDV was all over this one...he knew that we would 90% be able to cheat and locate the last fire tack in about 2 minutes....and frustratingly, he ended up being correct.

I am much more of a rule follower, so insisted that, "some exercise will do us the world of good". After a glance to the heavens above from an increasingly irritable MDV, we were off to play "spotto" of the firetacks. The trail worked almost to perfection, with us being able to spot the next tack from the current tack on all but one occassion.

A quick find of the metal tag and we were off to GZ where a speedy find of a well stocked ammo can was made. Knowing there'd be usual K&C style goodies inside, we really were like excited children as the latch was opened. MDV instisted on upending the entire contents (which resulted in a glance to the heavens above by me) and then examining every item!!! Eventually the contents were reloaded into the tin, minus a very cute pink mini torch which I slipped in my pocket in exchange for a favourite point on the cache. Smile

I was confused about the log; there was a log style book inside a 200ml sistema in the tin but also a larger notebook that others had signed. We stamped the larger book only.

Thanks for a well constructed adventure Keego_and_Chil.

After a lovely dinner and some chin wagging with the dogs and us at the Elizabethan Pub we came up here to do some night caching. It pays to have a strong torch and back up, mine was fading away as we were walking on.
Dodged a big spider!
I love these kind of caches, they are great fun!

We came out last night and followed the trail but could not work the GPS to enter the new co-ordinates. So we returned tonight with a new GPS and followed the trail again (of course, that's part of the fun) and found it this time. TFTC

06-Apr-13
Fun night out for the kiddies. Recommend complete darkness so torches work better. After finding the cache and about to walk on out, we came across a baby snake trying to warm itself on the pavement. Thank you for the cache. Pics to come soon.

Joint *FTF* with the family.

Chwiliwr was bored after watching the only show on TV that wasn't a repeat so convinced the rest of us to go for a late night walk. Had no trouble with the markers and enjoyed the walk in the reserve.

Found the cache OK and dropped in some trackables. Left the prizes for real kids.

Thanks for the cache.
