Cool cache. Easy calculations, got distracted as others did at first but after a few mins saw a familiar hint. Tftc!
After picking up EthisEthat, I was left with an awkward block of time that was too small to do anything substantial in a direction that wasn't in line with tonight's event, but too large to not do anything at all.We settled for two little finds in the area before Mr Hunters' birthday celebrations commenced! The numbers for this multi had been collected several months ago although the final was just barely out of the way enough that I decided to leave it behind then.Tonight, however, it was perfect - and gz even allowed me to keep the car running and the headlights on instead of pulling out the headtorch!EE pointed out a neat little signal that soon gave way to a robust hide that's in fine condition. Thanks to wing6rider and Crystal Warrior for placing this multi!
Interesting history. Too bad the services club seems to have been demolished. Nice garden with the tank and fuzzyvwuzzy angels. No problems getting the coords. Easy. Off to GZ and found after spying the obvious symbol. Cool hide. Not what I was expecting.
Day 7 of mogni and sir_spectre visit the ACT. Today we tackled the many, many city caches. We parked at Parliament House and started walking and walking and walking. It was another beautiful day and lots of people out and about enjoying it.We really only stopped so we could attend a local event and saw few a familiar faces. As per normal if a cache needed a bit of love, it got it. Thanks to wing6rider from mogni
Stopped to get my multi count in ACT up to over 25 multi's. Solved with Mogni. Quick find. Found with Mogni. Myself and mogni are headed off to canberra on the " I missed the Capital GeoBash Mega " holiday, since last minute family problems came in to play and we had to adjust our plans by a few weeks. On the way over we targeted multi's, wherigo's and puzzles to make sure we had 25 in each or at least close to that total ( or more ) as possible, getting as many new New South Wales LGA's as possible, the 17th most favourite point NSW cache and every cache size in New South Wales. In the ACT it was getting 2 of the 5 oldest letterboxes, oldest wherigo in Australia, 2nd oldest earthcache ( with a side trip to get the oldest earthcache of course ), and ACT oldest cache too. I also hosted a CITO and planned on getting every different cache type i could and eevry different cache size as well. I also needed 9 more virtuals this trip to get my virtual count over 100. Finally canberra was far enough away from from house to complete the well aged well travelled cacher 0 to 1000 kms with a cache every 10 km's ( i only need 7 more caches to complete )Leaving the ACT it was going via Victoria to get there last active web cam cache and slowly getting a total of 20 finds in each LGA i passed through if i had enough time plus also hosting a CITO in Victoria as well. A busy 11 days. Trust me by the end of the holiday you would have thought the 6 meter ladder weighed more than 13 kg's to amount of times it was used or carried up hills or over creeks. If your cache was found with a broken container/lid it was replaced or if the log was full it was replaced or a extra log if the container was big enough ( except for nano's, do your own maintenance on nano's.
TFTC Wing6rider and crystal warrior. Wasn't sure I'd worked the sum out correctly thought it was much harder. Went to GZ not sure that I was in the correct area. Then yaaay. Discovered the cache. FP from me. Down from the GC for the weekend. ??
I was visiting Manuka in Canberra and collecting any caches along the way. I enjoy a short multi and the military aspect of the one appealed. After working out the numbers, I was off the GZ for a fast find - mostly thanks to the sticker nearby. Cheers!
Out and about again, headed around Canberra for the MEGA. Super excited my first MEGA and heading over with 2 others from the Cockburn Crew. Took a while before Cathylm said she had it. A bit further out than I was looking. Thanks for the fun
I was in the area doing an AdLab when I saw the tank. Surely there had to be a cache here!! Well there was a quick multi that we solved easily. Short drive to GZ. We were searching initially in the wrong place until I read something in a previous log that helped us. I switched sides and started checking different places. I had actually originally checked in a couple of these spots, but hadnt moved far enough down. Then I spotted the little sign of where it was. Fav point Shame about the RSL as this area is looking quite neglected.
Found during the Mega event in Canberra over the Easter long weekend. Our team comprised courtneyrose_, Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Featherwaite, Freddo, gridge98 and Team Waldron, signing the logs as ABP to save time and space in the logbooks , or with our individual caching names. Enjoyed a great weekend away finding a rewarding range of cache types, d/t combinations, cache hides and retrievals. Thanks for the cache wing6rider!

Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter.Today I teamed up with FeatherWaite, Team Waldron, gridge98, CourtneyRose and Davidwazza. Logs were signed ABP to save time and space on the logsheets. It was a productive day, focusing mainly on caches of interest, with a variety of cache types. The weather was fine and quite warm, in contrast to some of the other times Ive been in Canberra over Easter. Thanks wing6rider for the cache.
Found this during a fantastic weekend away at the Canberra Mega, with gridge98, Freddo, Team Waldron, e.gregory1, Davidwazza and Featherwaite. The log books were either signed with the name ABP or our individual caching names. Was an excellent Mega, grateful to be part of it!
Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. Had to have a second crack at this, as we got one of the digits wrong (my bad). Wasnt out by much, but enough to cause problems. Initially spent time searching the wrong host before spotting the correct one thanks to the little clue logo. The log has been signed as WAC to save space, abbreviation for Western Australia Crew. Cheers wing6rider! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 3 and we had an absolute blast, after an earlier night last night we got up early to head to Yass and the surrounding areas to cleanup a bunch of caches inparticular whereigos and our personal favourite the challenge caches. We stopped in Yass and completed some high quality caches before venturing back to the trails. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Logs signed as part of team WA/WAC (WA Crew)
Its Easter Sunday and I havent spotted the Easter bunny however it has been an adventure with a mega wedding, volcano eruption and witch hunt.Time for some standard caching!Nice quick multi and amazing to see a tank on a main road!Had the correct idea for the hide but was a little out off by the dog poo hanging bag with something weighty in it phew glad I didnt have to open that!

30 March 2024This is find number: 9473Streak Day: 3026Found Today with Snoopy1976 and The Booos. Headed out this way from the Mega to do some caching. ThanksThanks to wing6rider for placing and maintaining this cache. TFTC
Tftc, a quick find here. Paper is slightly wet. Watch for the obvious for the caching eye. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache.
Quickly found the numbers on the tank. Took a little longer to find the cache. TFTC
Solved this earlier today on my lunch break, and returned on a glorious dusk with Baristayan who found this almost immediately. Brilliant little hide! And fascinating info about the tank, I didn’t know any of that…thanks
Finally able to avenge this one. was in the area dropping off some film to the nearby film lab, and thought I'd have another go. Luckily no one was around GZ, and I was able to make the find quite easily, a very creative hidden in plain sight cache. TFTC
Not really a dnf, as there was someone parked right at GZ, so it felt very awkward to be poking around in front of her. To boot, it started raining quite substantially. Will definitely be back to avenge this one!
How's this one for a relatively in plain sight hide!
After practising my CPR technique nearby, I decided to get the numbers for the multis around the area. This one was close enough to grab afterwards so I made my way over.
Thanks for taking me to the tanks, I join the legion of cachers who never noticed these machines hidden behind the bushes. Great hide at GZ as well. TFTC!

In Canberra for the weekend for the Australian running festival. As we are staying just a few hundred metres down the road, I couldn't resist completing this multi as it was only a short detour while walking to the nearby shops. It's a shame that nothing yet seems to have been done with the land at the posted coordinates, but nice that the tank and Kokoda memorial are still there to admire. At GZ I had the right idea at first but somehow missed the correct 'spot'. Started thinking something different but then after a quick scan of the logs I spotted the tell tale marker I'd missed the first time around. Thanks for placing this interesting multi!
Well I finally made it to Canberra. There is so much to do here it is just crazy. I had a look at what is near me and what I could do without a car. OMGoodness within walking distance was a few caches and as I waked and walked I kept getting closer to more and more caches. I was on a mission while I am in town to get at least eight different types. I had a plan so lets see if I can conquer my task.
Manuka seems to have a variety of caches, I have completed a virtual, a trad, a lab and now a puzzle. I had earlier solved the St. Christopher multi and the a couple other multi’s in the area. With my Beam scooter, I was off to collect. I signed the log and replaced as found. Then it was off to some more interesting caches in the area.

Out for a walk and thought it was time for this one. Math done and a quick walk had it in hand.

Wow, had never noticed this before, despite being in Manuka many, many, many times.
Nice quick find at GZ with a little help in the environment.

A nice multi to add to todays mix of finds. With WP1 visited (twice in fact after we were unsure of our calculations) and the GZ calculated (and double checked), we were onwards to the final location. Took more searching than it should have given what previous people have said in their visitor’s logs. TFTC nonetheless. The name is very apt!

I worked out this cache YEARS ago, even had a look where GZ was and then filed it as a cache to get if I needed one in a hurry.
Tonight was the night. I had visited a friend in Griffith and when I looked at the map, I saw the "solved coordinates" symbol ... in someone's front yard. What???
I must have made a mistake with the input. Luckily I remembered what GZ looked like. I took a little searching to find the right street, but once I had parked the car it was a quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

Quick find today. I cant believe I missed it when I last tried to find this cache. Preoccupied with the bush. There's even a sticker showing the location ! TFTC wing6rider!
#763 Returned here tonight to make the find as it was a good day to fill in some needed calendar dates for both Turtle and I. We’d previously been in the area and picked up the needed info before moving along. With a solved GZ punched into the gps we were off to the races. A brief search in a likely spot before readjusting our search and soon making a fairly quick find. Log signed and cache returned to its hiding place. Thanks wing6rider and Crystal Warrior for the hide and maintenance over the years
#2668 Back this evening with DT to have a look for this Multi. We had collected the information on a previous visit so it was now time to find the cache. Once at GZ we surveyed the options and had the cache in hand a short time later. Thanks wing6rider and Crystal Warrior for preparing this cache. I remember visiting the club a few times before it unfortunately burnt down. Much history lost.
A quick walk on a brisk morning before another day in a large room with a lot of people.
Gathered the required info last night after dinner and calculated in my hotel room. Past logs indicated to ignore one area which if I did and the telltale sign was soon spotted.

Fast find tonight! Always great to be out caching with onieferret and GLISS! Thanks for the multi fun thanks for the cache.
Aim for tonight was to complete the local AL with Nibletricecakes and GLISS!. However, things dont often go as planned, so a few caches were found in the area.
Thank you
Thank you
Hopped onto my bike and ORIGINALLY was just going to go caching in the ANU, doing a bit of a spring clean up (or a Christmas clean up as it is almost Christmas). Well after saying 'Just one more' several times I somehow found myself at Manuka Oval, how did that happen? I swear I was at the ANU like a few minutes ago. Hmmmmm... Oh well, at least I got quite a few! Like way more than I had intended . Arrived back home 6 hours later with legs that felt like jelly
TOTAL HAUL FOR TODAY: 22 CACHES SPREAD OVER 5 TYPES (yay a PB!)
THIS CACHE:
Quickly calculated GZ but spent a while at GZ. That was until I spotted something that I couldn't ignore, and yes it was the cache. I like it, I like it a lot, hiding in plain sight? TFTC Wing6rider & Crystal Warrior!!

Tftc and the multi, focused on the traditional cachet hide, when in fact it was where the GPS told me it should be.
Officially one of my fave hides!! Did what a lot of others did and looked in the obvious spot before realising it was a no go. Once you spot it you’ll wonder why you didn’t see it straight away. TFTC!
Simple offset multi which I do love. At the final location we focused on the tree, but then saw the tell-tale sign that changed out focus. Tftc
I had an hour to kill while the younger GeoKid had a music lesson, so popped down here to investigate the tank. Numbers found and soon had good looking coordinates, close to where I had parked the car.
Couldn’t see the cache near the object I thought it was, but turning around spotted a very useful pointer that saw me secure the sneaky hide in no time.
Thanks - great fun! A favourite from me.

We have a few of these dotted around the place back home.
Quick calcs, and equally quick find in the very obvious spot.
Not many muggles around at this hour..

Nice look at the tank and quick calcs for gz. Spent a few wasted minutes there till I read a log or two. Spotted quickly after that and signed and on my wa before the rain set in. Tftc
Out caching with Mary and Donna for their first caching outing - this was their first multi-cache find. It was interesting reading the sign and looking at this little beast. It was hidden in long grass and I was relieved that we did not have to go round the back to get the required info. GZ was fun and an interesting hide technique to show the gals. TFTC
While visiting our son this weekend we are taking in the sights of Canberra and finding some caches as well. After having lunch nearby we went to grab this one before heading home. Numbers gathered and final gz located we took the stroll to gz where hubby found the cache.
Found on 2 October 2020 at 2.36pm. TFTC, wing6rider & Crystal Warrior.

A few minutes for calculations and then off on the hunt. Looked in one spot and decided pretty quickly this wasn't it. Changed focus and a quick find was made. TFTC
We have been meaning to find this one since we moved back to Canberra and to a house very nearby. Today we needed an option for our daily exercise so this was it. The coordinates were worked out quickly given we took some paper (always helpful) and then we were off to the final GZ. We love these types of hides, still remember the first time we found one somewhere further south in Canberra and our minds were blown haha. TNLNSL TFTC
Grabbing a few caches with MinnieK and GLISS! while out and about getting some exercise. TFTC
Out caching with GLISS! and k8tybee for a Wednesday wander around Manuka.
Love a quick multi! Nice quick solve at the Leopard then a short wander over to GZ. Took a bit of finding but once found. Signed log and put back where it actually should be.

Wednesday is team caching day. Today minniek, k8tybee and I targetted a few caches around Manuka.I do like a quick multi and this one ticked the boxes. We quickly collected the info & calculated the end point. Once at the gz, it was minniek that made the find. TFTC
TFTC. Was looking in the wrong obvious spot, widened the search and had cache in hand. Wasn’t where the sticker suggested it should be
What a nice multi. Awesome piece of machinery and a nice spot to visit. Had me going for awhile but reading through the logs helped. Thanks for getting me out and about
Found on my second visit to the GZ. I was automatically drawn to the evergreen tree but eventually looked at other options. Now that I know where it is, I can’t stop seeing the clue. TFTH
With one spiderling having his nap under Daddy Long Legs' supervision, the elder spiderling and I commenced our routine holiday geocache walk to clear out the caches around our hotel. This was closest and handy for us, WP1 benefits from our lack of height. WP2 took a bit more time but previous logs helped me spy the obvious. Tftc!
Took a few minutes at GZ but previous comments in the log helped me out. No pen I'm afraid so have attached a photo of the logbook. Tftc
I was in Queanbeyan with my boyfriends family, As I've not cached before, I signed some logs of the caches I found with XC, until I came up with my caching name.
I had lots of fun, met some nice people and found some great hides.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

In Queanbeyan to attend the Mega. So great to get here early to spend time catching up with some many familiar faces. Always taking the time to grab a cache, when the opportunity allowed it.
Out around Canberra with Di Morgan and newbie signing as XC, picking up some hides, after attending this mornings event. Had some fun and laughs along the way, while finding a number of good finds.
Thanks wing6rider for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

The goal for today was to collect as many remaining suburbs as possible, and a few extras to make the day more interesting. A nice quick multi for the day. TFTC!
Day 16: Clear Waters Mega Trip
The plan for today is picking up random suburbs, adventure and mega labs and other exciting random things.

Thanks wing6rider & Crystal Warrior for being part of my Clear Waters adventure.
Overwhelmed by so much temptation in and around the Clear Waters Mega precinct, chose to concentrate on caches while in town that assisted or completed challenges I’m chasing and this one ticked off another “multi”. Picked my timing poorly however as sporting match nearby had streets blocked off and parking a nightmare. Lucky it was a holiday weekend and I snuck into a “customer only” carpark of a nearby closed business, made the quick calculations and grabbed the cache virtually under the noses of the road traffic crew straining to hear the cheering crowds but not knowing which team had scored. Few give away signs (at least one of which I rectified after the last finder left it totally exposed) made this a quick grab.
I have always loved tanks... used to build models of them when I was a boy. Mostly WW2 tanks and the german ones were always the best.
At GZ I was gravitating to the small tree and was searching around it when I saw a needle, though it did have its cap on I decided to reevaluate where I was looking and then I saw the very tell tale sign... once you see it there is no doubt where it is and indeed, there it was.

I've always kinda wanted to take one of these for a drive...
A nice simple multi - info easily found and a straight forward find at gz.

We looked for this a couple of times but time was against us. We had an event to go to so we figured we would ask a local for a hint and come back in a few hours (so technically a long look and not quite DNF status assigned!).
Boys can look at guns and trains.
Came back and there it was, in a spot we actually figured it would be but discounted as we had boys looks!
Joining forces with endeavour3 made this cache find a lot of fun. The cache was cached and we move on with a big smile!
Thanks to wing6rider and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Nice multi I should done years ago.
Enjoyed the history at the start and a nice final hide as well .
Many thanks for the challenge.
