As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Hi everyone.
Sorry, the final for this (including the guardian!) have escaped... I will sort out a new one when I can.

Boo! we had no problem with with the cartridge itself. Enjoyed it and defeated the dragon. Unfortunately we got to the final location and after a good poke around and finding the likely hidey hole and camo which was most likely covering the cache, we couldn't find it. think its been muggled.
Had no trouble with the path to the dragon and totally enjoyed it. With magdajh couldn't find the final cache.
Darn it! After a lovely Autumnal morning following the amusing pathway of this cache for about an hour, we fell at the last hurdle and couldn't find the cache. We looked for ages, to no avail. (Sigh)
We managed to get all that was needed for this cache including the dragon kill but unfortunately we could not find anything at the final location [?].
In Auckland over night. Have a very narrow window of time, so thought I'd be super organised and make a list of caches to find...
This was on the list... Used iPhone App and had a few hiccups. I went everywhere... collected everything... walked this way and that way several times... and still couldn't complete. Got to the end where the dragon eats the fish... and then I was told I should have slipped something in the fish. Tried to find out what was missing, but no clues or warnings or help was given. After an hour of frustrated walking, I gave up. Liked the layout of this one, but not well sequenced for me. Will have to come with a better game plan next time.

DNF... No luck banishing the dragon... the fish were too quick for us to catch today. Encountered a few bugs with the cartridge on both the Oregon and a couple of 'Droids.
Armed with the iPhone app we rushed back to the Gardens set on killing the Dreaded Dragon before the rain set in ( not very intrepid - but wouldn't want the iPhone to get wet). Great fun! Loved your graphics and inventiveness. Didn't even realize sound effects were possible. Our most enjoyable whereto yet - a fav from us. PINO TFTC
Using an Oregon 450. Managed a few locations and picked up a couple items but couldn't talk to anyone, no pictures , no sounds. The poor gps just couldn't cope so we finally turned it off and enjoyed the tui, magnolias and poppies. Great time to be there. Looking forward to a time they have an app for iPhone.
PS - thanks to MccuthcunClan I downloaded the wherigo app from iTunes and am amazed at how great it looks. Will definitely be back to try again sometime...

I was looking forward to completing another wherigo but it wasn't to be. I just wasn't allowed to pick those herbs today. Lovely area so I hope to be back.
A fantastic cache, even though it was raining it was good to do this cache,
We used both Whereyougo for android and a Garmin coloradro in tandum to complete this, The droid was by far much easier to use, it showed all the pictures and made all the sounds, navigation was really easy.

Second attempt, with all three offspring in tow this time.
Quick solve, since we'd done all the work last time bar the final stage. Obtained coordinates, and went on to GZ where the cache was quickly in hand. Kids all happy about selection of swag, though March had to be left behind... added some nice objects for the next finder as well as a GC.
The Wherigo is good fun (particularly catching the fish), but would benefit from having 'Read book' return some message.
TFTC!

What a great day for a Wherigo! After a lousy summer and forecast storm over Easter, it was just a perfect way to spend a glorious Easter Sunday afternoon.
First Wherigo for the family so not really sure what to do, but it all became clear soon enough. Kids all said that they enjoyed this kind of cache. Thanks AMANDANON putting this together.

Went to the park -- managed to find a book, and catch a fish, but just couldn't work out which herb to pick or how to read the book. Good weather and a fun hour spent with the kids, though. Maybe next time...
Well this cache has just about completely destroyed any passion I had for wherigo caches.
First trip got stuck after I couldn't see a button, turned out I had to scroll to see it but missed this everytime I looked at the page.
Got some help and now saw what I had to do, did the first excercise at home, but decided to do the rest in the field.
In the meantime, got a new smartphone, SD card moved from old smartphone to new smartphone which had the saved cartridge on.
Second trip, with new phone every time I tried to complete an action I got a force close. Gave up!
Resurected old phone.
Third trip, yay made it to the end with the old phone, went to final GZ to find a couple picnicing very close.
Forth trip, finally picked up the cache.

Our first Wherigo and it took us a little while to work out what we needed to do to play wherigo using an iphone.
Once we had worked out what was happening the game started to make sense and we had great fun gathering the items needed to slay the dragon and then find the cache.
Thank you for taking the time to set this up, what a great experience for our first one, cant wait to try some of the others now. Definatley a favourite.

I couldn't catch the fish or chase the dragon away, despite visiting all the waypoints again and ensuring I had done everything and got everything, would love to know what I am missing but think I may have to start again and visit a few waypoints in a different order.
A bit too much doubling-back IMO, but an excellent wherigo regardless. Will do it again with family at a later date. Nice work.
Started this wherigo last Sunday but ran out of time to complete. Back here again after work this evening to complete it and find the cache. Really enjoyed the interactive element of this wherigo! This is one wherigo definately worth doing! Only one criticism is that its not long enough. Definately worth a favourite point. Thanks for the wherigo and the cache!!
Joined up with FMZ to solve this Wherigo. We entered the gardens in the late evening via the northern gate which is 24/7. We quickly had the final coords for an easy find just after mid-night. This is a very cool wherigo which is very well thought out with a great story - gets a fav tick from me. Good fun! ...TFTC Took TB
Picked up 10cc and headed on down to this new Wherigo for a late night adventure. We weren't the only ones in the gardens tonight, but I guess we were the only ones there to slay a dragon. Awesome wherigo cache, really well thought out and executed - exactly the type of cartridge I imagined when wherigo first came out. Earns a fave point from me. FTF #979 TFTC!!!
