Agree with KiwifruitsNZ: no finds during this year, just a string of DNFs so time to archive.
Weekend away with MuzzaL53, heading to Lake Rotoiti, phones in hand, personalised manual for the weekend, and collecting caches as we go.
This cache was unfortunately a DNF! Time for archiving!

Had a hunt. Found nothing. Wondering if maybe the container is tramping boots...
We were pretty sure we knew what we were looking for, but unable to find it. One side of the road had a dead pig [xx(] (it smelt bad...), rubbish, long grass and brambles. The other side had recently pruned branches.
After giving up and crossing the ford to carry on back to Richmond, I spotted what I'd been looking for, out in the open. Hopped out of the car for a look, and turned it upside to see if it contained logbook etc (no way I was putting my hands in that!) but nothing. Maybe it was dumped together with the nearby clothing.

GZ appeared to in some pine trees above the track. Lots of recent off-cuts made searching tricky. We gave it a good go, but came up empty handed.
Took a whole diffrent meaning to this cache but once found made sence love the cache hide and worth another favourt
It took us a while to find this cache, as the coordinates seemed a bit out, but we had an idea what we were looking for, and knew immediately when we were in the right place. TFTC
Makka pakka 2 went out to day to see what he could find and look what he found TFTC.
Over shot GZ but went back over by foot. Nice hide great camo cache. Didnt have to jump the ford again Mrs LB drove the car to us.Tftc
Let Heafudd M find this - I didn't want to sit in wet shoes all day. He liked it TFTC
For to long Spooner's has been both to close and to far away for a cache run. When we thought about it and couldn't come up with an excuse this beautiful autumn day was earmarked there and then to remedy the situation. We already had a few caches done today and heels didn't seem to fit the current environment. It all came together at GZ. TFTC

Our last cache for the day over this side of the hill before turning for home again. The name for the cache very quickly became apparent at GZ. TFTC.
A quick stop for our only cache on the way to Nelson, glad to get at least one on the trip. Thanks

Slight detour on our way to Blenheim looking for caches and some sunshine. Finally we have found both , great hide and well themed cache TFTC.
Great stuff isnt there a song about these. g.p.s took awhile to zero in but than it all came clear. Thanks.
Was wondering all the way to this one about some of the previous comments. But it all made sense when my GPS stopped running around in circles and took me to the cache. Clever use of materials that appear to have been just laying around. TFTC

Cache location became obvious as I approached GZ. Not quite what I was expecting though. Left 'Mandurah Red Racer #3' TB. TFTC.

Heh, indeed not much use for them. Easy find on the way south. Cheers Gav [11931]
I have been up and down this road several times this week in some pretty extreme conditions. Today I tried my best Cinderella impression but in the end just had to settle for a cache. So I guess the ball and prince are off the agenda. I was a bit worried when I couldn't spy those red spikes as it seems there has been a bit of trimming done here very recently and you know that ad about the lumberjacks but no they are still there quite stiff with the frost and recent snow fall. Nice One!!!!!!!!Came down to the valley for this one after spending a very pleasant couple of hours up on the hill. Clever hide, yet where else could it be. Container was exposed, so Grandson Bryn "rehided" the cache and added a bit of a humorous touch. Much fun! Thanks
I Found this With A Broken foot on a caching Trip With Family - me, Gracie7 + mum and dad, we did 101 Caches over the Easter weekend. Gracie7 has given me a list of every cache I have done with her that i have not logged, TFTC A special thanks to Gracie7 + Mum for the Log List, I Had Tink from the start but she was not a traceable back then
Found on Easter Monday with furpurse, Mum & Dad. #16/24 finds for the day. Not exactly what I what expecting but a good hide all the same. TFTC

Last one for the evening and Mrs KE wasn't letting me go anywhere near the ford. Oldest Little Explorer and I had no trouble jumping it so nice dry feet. GPS went in circles for a while but eventually we stumbled upon the feature. Tempted but not quite my size. TFTC.
We had been waiting for a much nicer day to do the new caches in the area and today was it. We suspected a walk in the hills closer to home would be very muddy and this area would be much better. The only wet we ended up facing was on the way to this cache. Heaps of signs of water near GZ had us worried but we spotted what we expected to spot quickly. Thanks.
Hmmm I wouldnt be able to walk at all in the shoes on the cache page !!! I could perhaps totter or maybe break my ankle lol good then that I didnt have to for us to find GZ - Stretch0 resisted the ford as there was enough wet stuff falling out the sky to be bothered playing in more thanks for the cache
Managed to find the right approach and with a quick scan of the area my suspicions were aroused and upon closer inspection we came up with the cache. Nice work TFTC
FTF Thank you
good one

Drove the 4WD through the nearby ford a few extra times just for fun... No not really. Ended up on the wrong side initially so back up to prevent wet feet. Not that these would have been much help in that department. Nice hide that brought a smile to the face.. Didn't find it tough as at all. TFTC, Biggles.
