Logs
We were eventually going to head south, but the caches were taking us north first! TFTC!!South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - MEGA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!
Checked all of the white posts I could find on both sides of the road but no sign of a cache. In light of the number of dnfs for the last 2 years, I replaced the cache with a pill bottle (log is double bagged to keep it dry) as per the hint and with the CO's permission.
1077. 11:52 am. Day trip with a little geocaching. First find of the day. Added a new log. Found with eKitten, GRAkiWi &Co. TFTC(with a great roadside view).
Found it on a windy day with some onlookers.
We didn’t open as it was covered in mud.

After spending a couple of days, north of Dargaville, visiting my Parents with the elder Future Finder, its time to make our way back down south finding some caches along the way. The planned route is to leave SH14 and take the back roads out to SH1. We parked up just before GZ and got to searching. It took a while to track this one down. I missed it on the first couple of passes before making the find on the third go. The log seems to have dried out from all the sunny weather lately, so, I was able to sign it without great difficulty. Cheers for the cache placement Flowernz and for the maintence Riser5!
A bit harder to find than expected. Log too wet to sign. Windy and beautiful rainbow. Tftc
I had a big day planned. I was 20 caches short of the Turtle souvenir and I was hoping to get them today. Unfortunately I only got 13 so I'm still 7 short. I wrote quick found it logs as I went correctly thinking that geocaching.com would be slow tonight with the souvenir challenge closing soon. I parked across the road and was trying not to look conspicuous. I failed miserably as a passer-by asked it I was alright. So many cars kept coming past. I dashed over and quickly found it then hurried back to the car to sign the log. The log was mush so I added a piece of paper - the film canister seemed to seal so I don't know why it's getting wet. This sure is a busy road and it's not even sale day. Thanks for the cache
Quite surprised how open and exposed it is up here and with the very short grass around GZ, I half expected the cache to be missing. But no, it's still there, safe and secure. TFTC
A quick stop off on the way home on a dark, drizzly night. Opened the cache to find the inside quite wet, the log is very damp and fell apart in my fingers. May need replacing soon. Tftc!
Took a tiki tour around Whangarei to Waipu where we're camping so found this a few kms off the main road. Easy to find !
Found it, logbook completely wet so couldn't write my name on the laminated paper.

Found .. Very wet log so unable to write .. Thanks for the cache .. Another one I always drove past done
This afternoon we are taking a rather indirect route from Whangarei to Tangihua collecting a few scattered 'remote' caches along the way. A quick park and grab at Ormandy Road. Thanks.
Heading out for a days adventure in the bush with Friendly Muggle and his 9 year old Mugglit, who is waits for visits to get another taste of this interesting game... so we had to pull over and find some more treasure on the way... bit wet in side but able to sign the log:-)
On an early evening cache run back to Auckland, nice quick find at Ormandy Road on a route less travelled, TFTC.
Had a huge day planned today to gather at least 50 caches which were at least 1km apart from the last, for part of the geo-licence series. We started out earlier with the first cache found just after sun rise, and the last log being signed about 15 hours and near 500kms later.
We had an epic time on this trip and saw some great places along the way, through an area we had both travelled through many a time but never stopped. Thanks for everyone who had placed a cache along our route so we could finally stop and see the sights.
#38. Not to many options so soon found the cache.

#205 - merry Christmas. Soo full from our lunch thought we would go 4 a lil caching. Nice spot.
(527) Quick road side find once i had the right co-ord in my GPS. Spent a couple of minutes looking around the wrong white posts. TFTC
Todays mission is to reach 500 caches with the help of Mini Mob. #498 Road works going on here so had tobe a quick grab and go. TFTC.
On our way to do the "loop" and play golf at the Mangopai Golf club (which we found out later does not exist) so ended up at Waiotira? Golf Club -oh well. Quick find under watchful eye of sheep.
Quick find on a wet and windy day. Looks like the fence has been recently painted as the cache is splattered with paint TFTC.
Yet another one that looks like I forgot to log back in June. Sorry! Cache was not where I thought it would be so had to trust the GPS and have a further look. White railings had only just been painted, and they even managed to add some more camo to the cache with the way the paint was 'slapped on the railings"! TFTC
Great views this morning as we made this nostalgic trip back to Maungakaramea. t4tc
I think I may have done this one the hard way? but there were some great views driving along Ormandy Rd from Mangapai. TFTC
Lovely farming views, and you have gone to a lot of trouble to make the cache contents interesting. TNLN TFTC
12.15pm. Found the last one on this trip. Thank you Flowernz for this little series. David and Geoff.
Nice rural views, as we signed log a guy on a super-bike roared past,awesome.TFTC.
