Logs
With 8 DNF's (the one in the middle doesn't count, me thinks!) and no finds in a year, this one could do with a maintenance check. Would be good to clear it out next time we are in the area if it's back in place.
No luck despite a good hunt. Couldn't see any good cache sites among the brambles.
Like a lot of others, looked and looked but no luck. Pretty tricky in amongst all the prickles. Did have a nice feed of blackberries tho
No luck for us. I would have said that the log that was there has been removed by the look of things which may have contained the cache but see that someone's logged a find a couple of days ago. Oh well, can't find them all .
We were heading to Lake Pukaki to cycle today but the cold wind would of made that a little unpleasant. Instead we were drawn back to the prospect of a sheltered ride along the river and many more caches. Gave this one away. A digger has recently dug nearby. Thank for the cache anyway.
Went out with my Sista and La Vista who were on bikes while I got good exercise running the trails! Luckily it was cooler overcast day, a great day out. Thanks for the cache
M caught up with me here and I found it easily. Watch out for this weed as it cause allergy for the skin.
Even if we did have a fireplace I think it would be too far to lug any firewood out from here !!! thanks for the cache
A good pile for someone but not for me Number 16 on the trail and liking the fact it is over 1/2 way TFTC
Liz dubbed Jacob on the bike and I ran, walked and collapsed. Enjoyed our visit to Fairlie as the A&P show was on; it is a big affair.
Printed out before the co ords changed but managed to write the hint down and found it. TFTC
Enjoying the trail. Good easy finds with helpful hints. Weather very nice with little wind and plenty of sun. SL TFTC
yes plenty of it, only trouble is that its a little too far to carry it out. TFTC #2969
Seeing good wood like this going to waste made my eyes water and took my mind off my sore backside for a while!
Thanks

Found, but on opposite side of track to what GPS indicated, also in exposed location, placed under split branch, will be found without too much hunting.

Second DNF. Too much firewood and possibilities to spend more than 5 mins searching that I had already done.
8th find do far. Got a bit worried when I started out on the wrong side of the pie but soon spotted the cache. Thanks
Paperless caching became very useful for this one. Needed hint (not useful) and previous logs to get it! Found with madiecacher.
After a lot of searching we decided to check out the clue.... So we looked again and then checked previous logs. Juju clue had it in hand - thanks!
3993. Took longer to find this one but persistence paid off. 11.25am
Thanks

Took a bit of searching for this one. Found amongst the brambles. Re-hid as per the last log. TFTC.

We had heard rumours of a new power trail in the deeper south so left the now no longer sunny Nelson for sunnier pastures.
This one took a bit to find, search low and then high, that proved to be a winner for me.

FTF!!! Rather lucky to find this one, as it was on the ground, having survived the rampaging digger, that passed this way recently. Finally beat you to this one n!mrod! Replaced the cache in a split in a log that it unlikely to be moved.
I can see how this appeals to Bitsprayers warped sense of humour. Numerous examples of clue none of which were close to where the GPSr wanted me to go.

If next cacher can't find, suggest a match and set alight to the bloody area and request Bitsprayer performs maintenance.
