My eyes were giving up in the fading light, but had a good hunt, nevertheless. No find tonight.
Two of us, three different GPS,s and still no luck. Think we found where it might have been ??? Sadly there will be one smiley missing for the caches along this track
It is time to get the bike of the rack and me suited up for the Fairlie River Walk/Cycleway series of caches. I started at the end and worked my way down the Opihi River.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
This is our worst ever day geocaching. Another one not found. Too hard. Giving up.
Out on the trail on the bike to collect these lot in intermittant drizzle and rain, no problems with overheating. Cheers for the trail, glad to get it ticked off the list finally.
Out for a warm bike ride to get this series of caches with axllal and mr axllal, warm day and it is further than it looks. Thank you for these.
not where I thought it would be got it after dodging the brambles tftc 3/5
Found on the way back from a caching adventure in Tekapo. Started biking in brilliant sunshine, had a bit of rain and finished in the clouds. Still a great ride. TFTC
I can imagine that the dip gets pretty muddy in winter but it was dry today. TFTC.
We were heading to Lake Pukaki to cycle today but the cold wind would of made that a little unpleasant. Instead we were drawn back to the prospect of a sheltered ride along the river and many more caches. Spotted simultaneously. TNLN SL TFTC.
The breeze we encountered in this section of track was outstanding! Glad to make the find here...
Went out with my Sista and La Vista who were on bikes while I got good exercise running the trails! Luckily it was cooler overcast day, a great day out. Thanks for the cache
Couldn't find with the hint, as it was on the ground put back securely. Could be the birds again!! TFTC
Found this one on the ground think the birds might object to it lol and kick it out !!!!! Replaced it back where we thought it belonged - hopefully it will stay put !!! thanks for the cache
Started looking in the wrong places here till the more obvious place presented itself to us. Not the original hide site so replaced for another go TFTC
Liz dubbed Jacob on the bike and I ran, walked and collapsed. Enjoyed our visit to Fairlie as the A&P show was on; it is a big affair.
Enjoying the trail. Good easy finds with helpful hints. Weather very nice with little wind and plenty of sun. SL TFTC
The touble with dips is that you have to bike out the other side but the stop at this one was well worthwhile!
Thanks

A nice MTB ride down the trail this morning. Thanks for the ride, and the smiley!
Dip indeed! Dips, stones, sticks, mud and grass made for a bumpy ride. Sure is not as smooth as the asphalt we rode back to Fairlie on. The trail was definitely more interesting, but by the time we'd finished the series it was getting late. We got a late start to Stoneleigh.
Found with Mporokosa. The 3rd one today that was well out of place. This one was lying on the ground so we replaced it in the place it should be - consistent with the hint. Wonder if it will stay there? TFTC.
good cache, although maybe the only one cache name not so obvious. we were lucky. thanks
Last one for us as we conclude this great series on the Stoneleigh river trail. TFTC
Sixth cache find of the Stoneleigh series on my MTB ride to Fairlie.

We had heard rumours of a new power trail in the deeper south so left the now no longer sunny Nelson for sunnier pastures.
Just dipping over the 5700 mark, not many to go!
