I needed to find a multi cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [RoamingHowie's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=24963346-56c5-4daf-8308-a01f60f5a5ba&wid=6a725450-9b6f-4892-abca-126a7026759c&ds=2) [WCW - 95% Multi Calendar Challenge (GC9Z59M)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z59M) and so after work I opened [Cachly](https://www.cachly.com/) and had a look around for unfound multi caches when I spotted this one. This one seemed like a nice and easy multi that would get be out for a short stroll and enjoy a bit of nature. So after work I hopped in the geomobile and headed for the posted coordinates. I was able to find a spot to park the geomobile right at the posted coordinates and although I didn't see Mrs Baluke, I was able to spot the required numbers without leaving the comfort of the geomobile. With the numbers obtained I was quickly able to do a bit of maths and work out the coordinates for GZ and with a set of coordinates that seemed logical and not to far away, I was off to GZ. It was a lovely little walk over to GZ, the sun was shining and the weather was still a bit warm. Lucky for me the area was fairly quiet today and I only crossed one muggle on my way to GZ. Which meant once I arrived at GZ the coast was clear and I was able to make a nice uninterrupted search. It turned out to be a nice quick search before the cache was in hand and the logbook signed. A big thanks goes to [baluke](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=c61406b1-d75b-4934-b48a-2ad9b580d0b1&wid=c574bde5-ebaa-46a9-ad35-42234b75cba1&ds=2) for nice fun little multi. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape and the attachment mechanism still seemed strong. The logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

In marvellous Melbs on another fam care stint and I am also on a multi mission too - that's after not a lot of motivation to do them previously - now I'm on the hunt. Numbers easily located and then crunched to head off for a Yapidka moment! Nice to see a corridor of green and natural bush in the area - the burbs need them. The cache is in good nic and has been treated nicely - just what all CO's could do for their humble wee containers. TFTC and the FUN.

I had a spare few hours and decided to collect a few caches in the Templestowe area that I hadn’t found yet. The numbers were collected and GZ was ascertained. I headed down there and soon had the cache in hand. Thank you baluke for placing and maintaining Choclit Thunder #47 for us to find today.

Find # 1624.

On the hunt for our multi month mission. Thanks for placing this one and it being part of our challenge!!

25-Jan-23
After seeing hand surgeon went to catch up with my lifelong best friend and convinced her that we could go walking and geocaching afte dinner. Sad that Melbourne people have a fear of walking on dusk. We found easily and continued on our way.
TFTC baluke, by contributing to our game by placing and maintaining geocaches for us to enjoy

29-Sep-22
Tftc, multi #1/cache #2 for the evening

01-May-22
Did this multi while picking up some other caches in the area. Co-ordinates were calculated and lead to a well hidden cache.

15-Jan-22
This cache had not been found for a long time and I debated whether or not to give it a go. The numbers were found easily and the calculations done. I headed for GZ not really expecting to find the cache, but I put my hands on it straight away. It is in excellent condition, and I get lots of unloved.

23-Oct-20
I was here and helped find this cache back in 2015. I wasn't really caching then so am not sure if I signed it or not. So here I am again today. Thanks for the cache.

23-Oct-20
Out to enjoy thank you day before the rain sets in for the weekend. Up early to make the most of the day and get the steps up.

To busy talking and walked straight past the cache... claimed on the return journey and signed the log.

Thanks baluke for placing the hide!

Thanks to an impending football match somewhere, we have a day off today. Now that recreational activities that dont require shared facilities are allowed, we decided to explore to the north-west within the bounds of our 25km radius.
No sign of Mrs Baluke in the garden today, so no hellos. After gathering the required info, we made our way to gz. Being way too busy chatting whilst listening to the daily Uncle Dan presser, we managed to walk right past gz. After double-backing, we soon had cache in hand and signed.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, baluke

14-Sep-20
Out again for my lunchtime walk. It is great to get out on this lovely day

25-Jul-20
Easy find and clear instructions.

09-Mar-20
Wow a quick multi here, thanks for this. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to say Hi to Mrs Baluke. At GZ, it took me a while to retrieve the cache as the muggles kept passing me. Thanks BaLuke for the cache.

06-Sep-19
Caching day in Templestowe area for the day. Quiet path to walk along. Puzzle solved. Found it. Thanks baluke for placing this multi

28-Jul-19
Met Baluke while solving the puzzle. Great cache.

13-Jul-19
Found on a squally and wet afternoon. Tftc.

31-Mar-19
A quick stop at WP1, and some calculations later, I soon drove off and parked the car in a different spot. A short walk resulted in a cache find! Thanks so much for placing this cache BaLuke

05-Jan-19
No Mrs CO in the yard when I arrived but her husband was there. Wink
Waiting for him to dig a hole, the crowd gathered.
Enlisting the aid of one of the ladies and the motor was soon running.
Discussions continued for some time before the crowd broke up and retired for refreshments.
With the numbers gathered I took a short drive.
Deciding that a twofer just wasn't quite going to cut it, I worked my way backwards to number #40.
A couple of these had been visited over four years ago.
The haul for tonight included four trads, a multi and a mystery, with a total of five kilometers walked.
It was dark at the last find and of course my torch was back in the car but the thoughtful CO had provided ample lighting to sign the log.
Thanks for the chat, the exercise and the smiley faces BaLuke.
Happy New Year.

Last one for the day. Quick multi. TFTC

24-Aug-18
Thanks, first find for a while, pleasant area

03-Aug-18
Second of two caches that dad and boy managed on a windy Thursday night.

We didn’t get to meet the CO but did feel quite suspicious shining our torch on the power pole. With final coordinates in hand we made the short trip and grabbed the smiley.

Thanks Baluke for a great little nocturnal adventure.

22-Jul-18
I arrived at GZ ready for a stroll on the nearby trail. I quickly obtained the coordinates from WP1. No gardener could be seen but the garden waste bin was out and the garden was looking very tidy indeed, ready for the spring, well done there.
I quickly obtained the coordinates and went in search of the cache. A few passerbys came along and we had a chat about the area. I explained I went to the high school nearby for all my high school years. The cache eluded me but I soon discovered its perch; I seem to be getting better at this. It was a clever hide. Thanks for the cache and the walk!

I took a walk today from #40 to here, happy to complete a multi and the puzzle as well. Got my info at wp1 and sat in the park to work it out. Easy enough and a nice spot for a hide. thanks for the cache!

#1054 - 5.20pm
I was drawn here this afternoon by the Mary Hyde promo that puts a focus on the good old Multicache. It was cool coming to this area as I'd driven past a thousand times but had never actually stopped to investigate.
I pulled up at WP1. There was no one in the garden today, lol. I appreciated the sticker at the waypoint because sometimes this particular method of information gathering can lead to a number of possibilities. It was a welcome surprise that elicited some certainty.
I did as suggested and parked near 'Montpellier Rock & Roll'. But there were a number of after school muggles in the area so I chose to fill some time by gathering the information for the nearby mystery. It was a lovely walk on a still overcast day with the weather ever so slowly closing in.
By the time I had returned, the evening gloom was taking hold and a soft rain was setting in. But before I could recheck the location of GZ my phone started ringing off the hook! So I was busy with calls as I made my way to GZ... or at least in that vague direction. I hadn't glanced at the map since I crunched the numbers way back at the waypoint, so it was going to be a case of give or take 100 metres or so. While I was still busy with the call, the geo senses suggested a couple of likely possibilities. Naturally, I didn't find it. But when the call ended and I could check my position, I found that I'd actually been within easy reach of it - I had just missed it by looking the wrong way!
Nearly a great victory for geo-sense.
So very nearly...
Wink
Thanks so much, Baluke. I really enjoyed myself in this neck of the woods today.

Quick find with lots of muggles on the track today

Our second multi, great fun. TFTC!

Great little hide. Mrs Baluke is a great gardener! TFTC

My first multi. TFTC

14-Apr-17
Mmm choklit, my favourite! After I worked out the numbers I headed towards Montpelier Rock & Roll and to do the Pack Pack Pack series, where I saw several muggles head in the same direction. So I decided I'd get it on the way back. Once at GZ I saw some hidden tennis balls, could that be the cache?! Then I used my geosense and found it

06-Dec-16
I had two goals today on my walk after work. One, start trying to utilise the tracking function on my Garmins for motivational purposes and secondly clear up the BaLuke series of caches between Lake Ruffey Park and the Yarra.
I half-succeeded on my first (my batteries died in my GPSr) and almost totally succeeded on my second (didn't quite feel the desire to do the creek crossing for #41 which meant I couldn't solve for #48) but on the whole I got in a chunk of exercise and found all that I sought with the bonus that the trail was almost entirely muggle free.

A nicely set up cache, especially with the path elevation and declination between Montpellier Crescent and GZ.

27-Nov-16
Found it.

07-Sep-16
Seventh find for the day. A short pitstop at WP1 where I got the info then headed off to do some of the others in the series. As I was headed to the mystery one I first stopped to get this one. At first my GPS was all over the shop, telling me I was 40 metres away on the other side of the creek. (It turns out I was just going to fast on my bike for it to be accurate, I went back and forth a bit and it settled down).

Once it had settled, it was a matter of thinking, where would I put it... and it was quickly located.

TFTC!

29-Jun-16
Got the coords quickly, got down to GZ. Had a brief look around while I waited for a jogger to pass then I thoroughly search and found what I was after. TFTC

10-Jun-16
Found in between muggle walkers, had a little trouble retrieving log book, but all good now. Smile

06-May-16
On my way to pick up my son from uni today I detoured into Templestowe to pick up a few caches.
Obtaining the required information at WP1 was made difficult by the loads of mulch which had been delivered and the parked car. I did not see Mrs Baluke. Perhaps she was gardening in the backyard.
At GZ there was work going on behind the fence but I was able to retrieve and return the cache without attracting attention to myself. On my way back to my car I stopped to chat to some hens in one of the backyards along the track. Thanks baluke for an interesting multi.

Suscoe was out early today to wander about this area of Melbourne in search of caches of all types.
The day started out quite drizzly and later on it became sunny.
Traffic was light on most roads which was appreciated.
We arrived at the listed coords and gathered the required numbers.
Did the calcs and headed for the hide.
A quiet GZ greeted us.
Thanks for creating this multi.

01-Dec-15
Got sick of shopping and still had time to fill. Oh, look...some geocaches. Draggedalong rolled his eyes, but was happy to play navigator. A quick find. Place was quiet. TFTC

06-Nov-15
A small detour from my walking route to WP1. Mrs Baluke was not around, but there was a car parked next to WP1. Owner's? Wink Final cache was quickly found.

13-Sep-15
I had a day to spare in Melbourne today before getting down to work here tomorrow. So I decided to head out and see how many caches I could find on foot. After 7.5 hours walking about, I had found 43 caches (including a few not from this series) and encountered a small number of DNFs, DNAs and MIAs. Not sure if I'm doing these in the right order as I seemed to be going a bit back and forth at the moment. Anyway, no trouble getting the numbers at WP1, but it took me a while to zero in on the cache and WP2. Got it eventually, whew! TFTC, Biggles.

Our last cache for the day is this quick and easy multi. Grabbed the numbers on a drive by, some basic math and it's off to gz. Well, doesn't this look familiar, we walked down this very path less than 30 minutes ago. The gps get us close enough that it doesn't take long to bag the cache. Filling out the log and I am trying not to look too suspicious loitering here as a woman walking her dogs looks very unconvinced of my innocence. Ok, she is out of sight, pack up my gear and replace the cache and now it's time to head home. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for thanks for the cache.

This was a fun little multi in a lovely and very quiet area. Just about my level of competence. Didn't see Mrs BaLuke but perhaps she saw me...

I think I saw your house today... was very tempted to knock on the door and say hello. Smile Not that I'm a creepy stalker, but your notes said something about saying hello if Mrs Baluke was in the garden. Did you stick that yellow piece on the pole? It looks very much like it should be there... but also, if I know anything about your hides, like you have mimicked something and stuck it in plain view where nobody would ever suspect the truth Smile.

Loved this walk around your neighbourhood. Will be back for the 'question mark' cache another day.

Find 1178 at 12:31. I was out caching with Burge today and we were aiming to pick up quite a few caches around the Templestowe area. We were taking advantage of the unusually dry weather, given all the rain we've had lately, and it turned out being a good run with 56 finds all up. This was find number 3. It didn't take long to gather the required info (loved the detail of the GC sticker at the WP1 clue too) and we were soon on our way. Thanks for the cache, baluke!

20-Jul-14
After doing a drive by on wp1 it was very cool to see the geocaching sticker on the clues. Once we gathered the clues it was a short walk down a slippery hill. On the approach to gz we already has determined to locations but the compass confirmed it for us. Quick grab. Tftc tnln sl

Find #1220 logged at GZ at 11:00, will update shortly.... T4TC BaLuke!

On a misty Sunday morning, decided to focus on a few caches in this area. Ankle still a bit tender after breaking it in April. But well on the way to a full recovery and return to ardent caching.

Find #398

Out on the 2nd leg of the Yarra trail again this morning. Collected #37 through to #48. A nice short multi with the opportunity to say hi to the COs. Today Mrs Baluke must have been enjoying the AC inside but their pet was guarding the numbers. This multi GZ guided me back to the trail which was good as some of the streets are confusing on bike. Thanks for the effort and providing some fun along the river!

18-Jan-14
First to find it this year

16-Nov-13
Finally, we had a sunny day after a very wet week!
I had half a day to myself, so I decided to find more caches in Baluke's excellent series.
This was my seventh of 18 caches for the day. I enjoyed my little sit in the sunshine.
TFTC, baluke Smile

Wanting to keep my run going, I nervously watched the rain fall all day. Decided I was going to probably get wet no matter what so thought I may as well do this little multi. Grabbed the needed numbers - no one gardening today! Made the stroll to GZ and it had stopped raining!!! Yay. Another nice cache done in this series. TFTC

Actually headed to this one by mistake, but what the heck, a cache is a cache!! Was a bit concerned as we approached the final GZ as to whether the cache might still be accessible after the recent rain. But all is well and we soon had the log signed.

Today Pam had her quilting buddies over for a sewing fest, so under those circumstances it was best for everybody concerned if I went caching.
I had a great day, and this was find number 19 of 29 for the day.
First multi for the day.
No gardeners at GZ.
Got the calculations correct first time and found it was close to the next cache, so repositioned the car before getting a double header.;
No trouble at the final, good clue.

I decided to go out for a ride today. And completing some more of this trail was the plan. Also seeing that the Puzzle had been released and the clues were contained in caches i needed to find. Most of he finds were straight forward when i stopped trying to follow the gps. Coverage and my gps updating itself was taking awhile.

Thanks for all the caches. It was a fun mornings ride.

Up the hill to the telegraph pole. Down the hill to the park. I always struggle to set myself up with coordinates - OK that one's nearly right, now over there to line up the other one ... Is that private property? Can I go in there? Did I get the coordinates right? And while I'm dithering, down comes the rain. Thunder. Shelter under a tree - the first one doesn't have enough leaves. Dash for the next one. Hang on, sheltering under trees in a thunderstorm isn't the best idea. Better beat a retreat. Now very wet and no sign of the rain abating. Won't be checking out the DNFs on the way back. Will have to come back here another day. Thanks anyway, Baluke.

Worked out the co-ords earlier and headed to the gz not long after with spiffy, we soon had the cache in hand and happily signed the log, thanks baluke for the cache.

Out with Happy Pants today just freestyle caching. Took a few wrong turns due to my bad navigating and the way too many dead end roads around here but eventually found the clues and the cache. TFTC.
