Logs
This a very delayed log. Our great trip to Tassie brought us to stay at Bicheno in October 2013. (only just getting to logging our finds as Mrs had some health issues that have taken up a lot of time - nothing to do with our trip to Tassie). So many lovely places to see and so many caches to find we have to return. Found this one on 3/10/13. Bicheno is a lovely spot. We left a smiley. TFTC

Didn't find it. Didn't see any penguins, just muggles giving me strange looks wondering what the strange girl was doing in the bushes.
I looked for about 30 minutes before I started to worry that my torch would go flat.

In light of the number of dnfs and the time frame since the last find, could CO look at this please. Cheers
Looked around the cache site and saw evidence of penguin activity. Having already seen 1 penguin this morning further up the foreshore (at midmorning) we didn't want to disturb any others.
Didn't read activity log before visitng. Still glad I came though - lovely place to bring your lunch
So many DNF's A CO or his local maintainer visit to confirm all is okay would be appreciated by all we are sure.
so many penguins about here maybe they have buried it.

Had a quick look but couldn't find this cache and there were a lot of muggles around. Looking at the past few logs this cache may have gone missing. Might need CO to drop by and take a look.
Sorry to say I too had a bit of a poke around but was unable to find this. GPS was bouncing around wildly, and like others, I was unsure about poking about in what appeared to be a nesting area, although, had I known they don't come back until sundown, I may have spent a little longer if I could hone in on gz.
Didn't find this one. Felt a little bad going off track near penguin territory so didn't search to long.
Second for the day on an average tassie day, dark and wet
Parked close and walked the short distance to GZ. GPS was off by about 5M however container was soon located.

West Aussies campervanning around Tasmania for our 1 yr wedding anniversary, and Muggle Husband allowed me to do a few caches along the way, and even joined in on looking for most of them.
Spent ages on this as it didnt seem like it should be that hard. Even went back a second time for a look but no luck...seeing another DNF log maybe its been muggled?

The last gc in Bicheno for us to find, every visit had muggles creeping about every where, today we finally got a chance, like some of the comments say it is a few metres off gz but then not many are exact, SL and TFTC
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
Cache was located without much difficulty. Too bad we aren't able to come back after dark to see the little penguins. Maybe on our next tour of Tas.
Thanks for the fun theperthvan!

Spent the night in Bicheno, and visited the penguins in the evening, despite the stormy weather. Came back this morning to see the blowhole and views by day. This area looks quite different by day - still wet and windy though. TFTC
Here for a week as part of our epic journey through SE Asia, NZ, and Australia. Enjoying the coastline here despite the rain today.

Found it late in the afternoon and then came back that night to view a few Penguins. Sure beats having to pay to see them
while cycling with friends in this beautiful Island, manage to do some geocaching, tftc
Found this one together with dule already in January while travelling in Tasmania. TFTC! Found the cache at daylight and came back later to catch up with the penguins
Nice cache; quick and easy find and great location. Came back later that night to see penguins everywhere! The cache was a few metres from GZ but still easy. Found with Jordaocr7. TFTC!
Found with the help of some fellow cachers. The clue from the photo of red top helped find as the coords where out a bit. TFTC.
Took a quick search around but cache was found at S41 52.575 E148 18.632. We popped in a little red fireman. Lots of lovely shells to collect here. The geokids are going to take them back as presents for friends in Brisbane.
Day 2 Family Tassie tour: We didn't see any penguins, just the cache. Naturally they would be well hidden awaiting the delivery man to arrive as was the cache waiting for a finder. We we planning on watching a penguin parade later in out tour.
Lots of beautiful fan shaped shells here. I collected some to take home for my friends.

Four experienced searchers looked for 20 minutes in a 10 m radius from GZ.
Has it been moved, as suggested by previous logs?

# 7262. Holiday time on the Apple Isle with Robmc. We are moving camp today - from Coles Bay up to the Bay of Fires and are finding just a few caches along the way.
After reading a few logs we decided to widen the search. Not sure if it has moved from its original position but when I spotted it my GPS was reading 8 metres out. On our way back to the car we stopped to read the memorial plaque to family members lost at sea whilst fishing. Sad!
Thanks theperthvan

Travelling between Coles Bay and the Bay of Fires for the last part of the holiday with BettyBoo3747. Grabbed a few caches as we travelled.
No penguins marching around this time of the morning, although it looked like a lot of big penguins had been here searching!
We found the cache a bit further away from where we were originally looking.
Thanks, Robmc.

TFTC. We extended our search wider and found it about 8 or 9 m from where our App was indicating GZ. Easy to spot once you find the right place.
Wish we could have stayed for the penguins to return.
Had to search for a while but finally something red flashed up...

Hate to admit it, but absolutely could not find this after 20 minutes or so of hard looking! My GPS was right down to 0 at GZ, but no joy.
I was very moved by the memorial stone; what a sad loss, but a touching way to memorialize one's dear ones.

A quick trip to tassie with my caching buddies Hearse068, Zobo04 and Hearse068's geo child. Just the the scenery over here you have some really beautiful spots to visit. Unfortunately we only had a couple day so we tried to cram a bit into those days. Made a quick find here not to many muggles around which was lucky for us. Another great view .TFTC
Found with Gonefishen07, Zobo04 and my geo son on a quick trip to Tassie to do some sight seeing and some caching. GF07 made the quick find. The kids played on the rocks while we watched the blow hole. There are so many great spots along this coast line. SL TFTC
Found with Gonefishen07, Hears068 and my cuz. We came to tassie for a quick trip. Sightseeing and caching on the menu. We had a great time while here and will hopefully be back soon. Thanks to those that placed caches to make our holiday fun. TFTC
Found this one on our way up to St Helens today. Such a great area. TFTC theperthvan
[red]Find #1756[/red]
There was quite a few muggles here when i turned up. Lucky for me they had just finished their lunch and were off. Then an older couple sat nearby [8)] I waited again and now the coast was clear. Took me a few goes to find this one but finally got it. Stamped and returned as found.
We enjoyed a wonderful 2 week trip around beautiful Tasmania soaking up the sights after visiting here almost 8 years ago. This time the little Na'wals are with us and some caching is to be done. We had a wonderful time time even the the terrible weather that we uncounted most of the time here.
[blue]Thanks for this Cache the Perth van TNLN[/blue]

TNLN TFTC had a great time waiting for two seals way out on the rocks to do something other than look like blobs. Had to be content with phoneography of seagulls which were much closer.
A better view of the seals from here, and pertinent as we were going to do the Little Penguins tour this evening.
We did this one as a drive by and parked in the nearby car park. Then it was a short walk, past the new memorial, and an easy cache to find.
Nice quick find and a bit early for penguins tftc

Stone the crows, this one took some time in the dark! But we got there in the end just before a lost group of Asian students arrived looking for penguins. t4tc

Would live to be here in penguin season. TFTC. Angus the great GeoWestie assisted by grey nomad Carer Lis Brown en route from Bundaberg Qld to Perth WA via all of Tasmania.
We had to look a while for this one, mainly due to a muggle mother with 3 kids who were exploring the area too. When they were out of sight we had the cache in hand in minutes. TFTC theperthvan
This area was muggle free at 2.30 p.m. today which was very lucky considering how many people were at other lovely spots in Bicheno. A quick find. Thank you for the cache.
Jumped out of the van and was whacked in the leg by a stone that had flicked up from the ride on mower of the council worker mowing nearby. Not a good start but the cache was quickly found and once the mower had left the area we grabbed it. We swapped the few stamps in there for a fridge peg. Thanks.
Smuggle in a car but GZ out of sight line. So a quick retrieve & entree & walked off whistling Dixie.
A quick find once the groups of people using the picnic tables moved on. We spent the time waiting watching a big black seal out on the rocks. Loved it. TFTC
Took a little while and newbie made the find. Took token a will be taking to West Sussex sometime soon. TFTC.
Found this cache in a delightful spot with smuggles hovering all over the place. But they were blind to our evasive tactics. TFTC.
Stopped to grab this one after visiting the blow hole nearby. Nice hide TNLNSL TFTC
Yay - found it while on the Great Tour of Tasmania - resting in Bicheno for the night. Had really hoped to see a penguin or two but this was not to be tonight. Not sure if it was too early or too late for them. Thanks theperthvan. A great location for a cache.
Found this hide as darkness approached. Keeping our eyes open for penguins but maybe a bit early?? Cache in good condition. Came across a memorial for two lives lost from the rocks nearby. Very sad TNLN. Picked up TB to move on. Thanks for the hunt
Tftc eckomac2013 we have a swappable that we will bring back to put in this cache
Stopped for a break in Bicheno on our trip north. This one was on the way. It took a little bit of searching tp locate it. I started in the wrong spot. Unfortunately it was lunch time so no penguins were spotted.

Second cache of the day with lmb, a very late log due to no phone reception. TFTC (:
The second found today with rkmpariah on our quick stop in Bicheno. Plenty of muggles around so had to wait a while. TFTC.
Found it!
Having a great walk around the area.
Found by RupertRat.

After a busy day in Bicheno managed to find time to do a couple of caches. The sea was roaring but we were too early for the penguins Maybe next time. TFTC
