As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. With the morning to ourselves, my son and I came out for a walk.
At GZ I was turning over and looking at all the rocks around, while my son ran up and down the path.
I decided to give up after I lifted one rock to find a small snake coiled up under it!
(facing away from the lake it was to the left of where the grass shortcut track is, a few meters from given coords)
With so many DNF's maybe you should raise the difficulty or give a hint.
Thanks for the walk, it is a very nice area and I will be back.

Wasn't as straight forward as we had been expecting, but very satisfying to find. Lovely view! TFTC!
Parked in Green Point Drive and walked down to GZ. Looked for what seemed ages and we were on top of it all along. Very clever hide! Great view! No sea eagles today. Thanks for taking us to great places in our own backyard. SLTN. TFTC.
My son and I looked for 20 mins but could not locate the 'prize'. It was worth the walk though for the view. Maybe it has been moved?

I was familar with the area having ridden MTB in here with the Cogheads. I arrived at GZ and looked and looked and looked. Expanded my search and still had nothing. After a PAF I had the cache.

I had come to find this cache when went to the right location searched for ages but didnt find mabe been moved
Fantastic view. Simple cache turns into wild life reacue mission! Saved a little duckie.
Awesome spot...... Was a little trickier to find than I though, seeing as though there wasn't a clue needed...... GPS was playing up a bit, so ditched it and just went bush bashing...... Excellent hiding spot.... Took cricket bat, left toy car TFTC

Just realised I hadn't logged this find. Quite a tough one and took plenty of searching to find the well concealed container. SL TFTC
Had a good look around with WebbyHRT and couldn't find, dare say it's not here, nice place though, no Eagles
Can't find it, but we saw an eagle Thanks for bringing us to this nice place. Regards, Team AR2147, Germany.
This was our second cache for the day on a very hot afternoon.
After reading the past few logs we were a little unsure whether we should attempt this cache, but needing the walk, we decided to go and have a look anyway.
It took a little hunting but we eventually came up with the goods.
Nice hide.
There was a crushed coke tin in the cache and a dirty small plastic shopping bag screwed up next to the cache so we did a bit of CITO and took the rubbish and placed it in a rubbish in at the picnic area at the base of the hill.

Did the walk in and had a good search but couldn't find then broke my thong so had to walk out bare foot on the hot concrete path.
Will try again as it appears to be still there.
Thanks for the walk and view.

Unfortunately today I didn't have any luck with the cache. As I didn't have a GPS I couldn't even pinpoint the GZ. But the views were amazing. Thanks for that.
lovely scenic veiw along the 700m track to GZ, cache is there. it was half buried under dirt.
Was revisiting this cache with a niece but this time couldn't find it. Knew where I found it last time, wasn't there now. Has it moved? Been muggled?
Didn't see any sea eagles today but the bell birds were out in force. Lovely spot, lovely view. TFTC
Mrs C has been past here before on her many walks but this was my first time. Great views. A quick find due to accurate coords. Left halfpenny and bouncy ball. Thanks al3xm.
Reperio at 1615.
After spending a quiet day at home with the family, it was decided that a walk was needed, so we decided to head out and grab a cache at the same time. Have been here a few times before and never get tired of it. Our little girl loved bouncing up and down in the baby bjorn as we walked up to GZ, although at times the wind picked up and started to take her breath away, and so I ended up walking backwards half the way...but after locating the cache, we stood and admired the wonderful view, as well as take a few happy snaps before heading back down. A great spot for a cache.

Totally awesome spot! I grew up in Belmont and forgot just how special this area is. Had two sea eagles sharing the high life with us.
Good Friday is a perfect day for caching, especially in usually high muggle areas, new record today, TFTC al3xm!!
Beautiful views on a perfect day. Took the club penguin with the geochain and will send him further on his travels.
Found at 8.15am GAFF5 in the company of Robmc. The view from here would have been spectacular on a clear sunny day. We had to settle for an overcast day with the wind picking up. Couldn't see much activity on the lake - maybe people are working!
Thanks The Cash Man.
Thanks The Cash Man.
We walked around the coast checking out the earthcache until we came to this lookout. There is quite a large picnic area here. We didn't see any Sea Eagles today, but then maybe it is their lookout! Good view across the lake.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Found today at 4:15pm - walked up from Green Point Drive after heavy rain and enjoyed listening to the many bellbirds. Thanks!
Amazing view! Part of a great day out at the Reserve.

I have been going to do this for a while but I just had to wait for a hot day and lunch time in belmont first ( Yes I do need my mind read as soon as they find it! ) It was a very enjoyable walk to gz although the shortcut was not such a good idea and some great views of the lake then after a easy find I had to get back to the car and work.

We previously logged a find for the old Cache in this spot.
Quick find, signed the log and then we were off to find "Old Belmont Colliery" nearby.

Forgive us Geocaching Gods - it has been six weeks since we last went caching - due to family and work commitments! This will also be our last chance to cache in in the greater Hunter area before we relocate to Canberra. We have been here before to do the cache that was here previously. It was a beautiful day and the view from here is fantastic. We will certainly miss this place. This was a nice easy find for us - thanks for bringing us here again. Dropped off the Traveler Turtle TB and signed the log. TFTC
This is a great lookout which we last visited to find the old cache. That time we did see a Sea Eagle, but none this time. No swaps, thanks for another good hide in this excellent reserve.
even though we were approaching this one from the top today instead of the track along the waters edge, a feeling of deja vu was sweeping over us. This is a awesome spot to look out over the lake and take a break, the muggle cyclists on their mountain bikes must have agreed as they were enjoying the GZ. As we approached they decided their rest time was over, they mounted up and moved along. We now had the view to our self's so the search began. It was fairly brief with that same feeling haunting us once again. All in all a great location and a very enjoyable cache due to the great surroundings. Thanks al3xm.
I really enjoyed the view from up here what a great place found the old cache when it was here too Thanks al3xm for the hide
FTF! Just beat the rain to get to this one and see a great view of the stormy weather. TFTC. TNLNSL. Great cache.
Bugger, I had spoken to another cacher this week about replacing my muggled cache Sea Eagle Lookout. Found this after picking up Belmont Colliery. As expected macca had already been here. I love this lookout. Thanks Al3xm "Overall Experience:3"
