Very cute. Not a 1.5 diffHides very very wellFirst trip back since watching Mick Doohan and Wayne Gardner win back in the 90s at the Australian GP.Tftc
A fabulous day adventuring on the island with doddlingalong. A very cute little find just before the rains hit. TFTC
I probably shouldnt have come in the dark haha will come back during the day!
After a few not too easy caches, they should have been, we just couldnt find them, we were pleased to come up with a cache here.Read a few logs and read the hint, all helped with the find. After sighting a big brown snake yesterday we came prepared today with our thump the ground stick to scare any snakes off.Another cool area with another great beach, gosh the locals must get sick of these awesome spots. Thanks Hell +Back and GoneFishen for the cache, found it, signed it and replaced as found.
The rain foiled us as we were only able to get about 10 minutes in to our hunt. Well be back!
Find 3242We failed to find this one back in October 2021.Today we were determined to get it this time. Some previous logs certainly helped on this one. Even though it still took a good 15 minutes to discover the well hidden cache.Log sheet is quite damaged, but still got to sign it. Unfortunately I didn't have a spare with me.Thanks Gonefishing07
In the area to continue some nearby AdLabs and decided to try and find this cache while in the near vicinity. Unfortunately for us, this one evaded our sight, leaving us with a DNF.
How thoughtful of you to provide ample parking suitable for the vehicle that I am driving today. It's just a lap to the left, and a lap to the right. Then with the eyes at the correct elevation, the cute cache was soon spotted lurking nearby. I enjoyed this little break and the opportunity to stretch my legs before continuing on to Wonthaggi. Thanks hell+back adopted by Gonefishen07
Lovely quick find. Nice camo. Log may need a bit of maintenance as it didnt seem to fit very well. Otherwise, a cool little cache.
We found lots of bones in the area, which was strange but had nothing to do with the cache haha.
The cache itself is very cool. Bring a small plastic bag to replace the one there if possible. We didn't have one on us and it's getting damaged. Very fun idea!

TFTC SL - I was just about to give up and then I discovered the cheeky little critter
I tried to dry out the log as best I could and seal it up so it won’t get as wet in the future
I tried to dry out the log as best I could and seal it up so it won’t get as wet in the future
We found a place to stop and then proceeded to walk around it several times before looking a little higher. Then, the well camouflaged critter was discovered.
The log was a bit damp, but we were able to sign and make a hasty exit.
Thanks hell+back and Gonefishen07 for this tricky one.
Chiefton!!!

After a damp and windswept visit to the nearby SS Speke and Forrest Caves, we decided to go traditional and give this a go. It took us a while but finally trusted the coordinates and found the cache looking at us. The log is damp and unable to be signed or fully replaced inside, we didn't have a spare so will email CO. Thank you
Found this with my muggle husband. Lady walking her dog wondered what on earth we were doing. Did explain and she knew what we were talking about thank goodness. Cache is not in the best condition and neither is the log. Only just hanging in there. Could do with some maintenance. TFTC TNLNSL
Took us a while to locate it.
The log isn’t in the best condition but still readable just.

Great cache, thought it was gonna be a hard one but ended up being one of the easiest I've found!!!
Caching day around Phillip island with few adventure labs. Found it and cute cache. Thanks Gomefisjen07 for placing this cache
I thought I could do a quick drive by and grab this one but couldn’t locate cache and my muggle friend kept telling me to hurry up. Another time maybe!
Found this cache on one of my many drives around the Island. As the previous logs suggest this really does need some TLC soon, with the log quite damaged and almost out of space, with an open end in the cache. TFTC!
OzHockeyChick suggested we head out of Melbourne for the weekend. No need to ask me twice! The car is packed, which direction?
We ended up in Phillip Island and after camping nearby overnight we headed off to gather some more caches before targeting my 12,000th find on the way home.
A nice quick find. Unfortunately there was actual road kill only 5m from GZ.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

A plan was hatched for a trip to the Island with RoamingHowie to explore and finally turn some dots into smileys.
Parked and walked past some recent roadkill as we made our way to gz, where I walked straight past where RH then quickly spotted the sneaky cache.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Gonefishen07

Walked in to this one from the other caches nearby. Nobody around so I could do a pretty thorough search. But didn't want to damage the vegetation so went around the outside of the bush and looked in. If it's there it's extremely well hidden as I turned up nothing. Maybe this one is missing and needs a check.
Second stop on the walk from Cape Woolamai to Cowes!
Really cute container! Unfortunately it’s not in the best condition, see note.

The end of the container appears to have broken off, and the log though still useable is slightly damp and very difficult to re-insert once signed.
I reckon this little guy needs a bit of attention.

No luck today. After going round and round and not really sure what I was looking for, I have to DNF’s and will come back another time.

Great hide… log book container is broken and could be a bit dangerous if not careful!

Sadly we just could not see this one today. Spent a good deal of time but nothing for us.
Thanks maybe another day.

Decided to check out Forrest Caves and get a sneaky cache or 2 if I'm lucky. This time I was in the presence of my best mate Memorychip and his geokids. Was looking at the wrong part first but once my GPS settled in I was hot on it's heals. Found the cache sitting loud and proud. Creative... Thank you
Nice first find for Poppy and the grandkids. True to the clue keep your eyes peeled for creepy crawlers!
150m from our beach house, great first find for the holidays <3 tftc!! Keeping skull
I must say, a very apt name for this cache. I parked close by and walked around, stepping carefully to dodge animal deposits .. no luck .. i went back to the car and read up a few logs .. no luck here but i went back again and had another go and there it was .. How did I miss that? well done hell+back for placing the cache and Gonefishen07 for keeping it in play
This one had me stumped for a while. Surely it's not in those bones? Or in that dead rabbit? I widened the search, and eventually found it. Cheers!
On a road trip to Phillip Island for a couple of weeks, picking up random caches as we travel around seeing the sites. This one took far longer than it should have and it was probably because of the dead rabbit near GZ being a little off-putting. But after going around and around and around Mr Pooky finally made the find and it got him. TFTC and a favourite from us.
This cache certainly lived up to its name. As Steve approached GZ, there was a dead rabbit in his path. Thank goodness I was lagging behind and quickly turned around and left him to it.
Log signed, now we’re going home.
Cheers Gonefishen07. Not a great note to finish on, but we did have a wonderful day collecting more of your caches.

Out with Omegaman1971 to do a few caches in the area and attend our first event in along time.
This was one of the caches we found today. We had a great day checking out the many places the island has to offer.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.

This was fun cache I gave it a favourite point because it was a sneaky hide. Needed a geotool to get log out.

We soon spotted this good fun cache once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Spending the weekend in Phillip Island so thought we'd take the opportunity to grab some caches alongside the help of Divewombat and family. This one was nice quick and easy and a good one to start us off. TFTC CIGC TNLN
Didn't see the parking area just ahead so parked on side of road and got some filthy looks as I signed the log.
Waited for no cars and replaced cache.
Thanks

Found after a short search. Cute little critter - i loved the roadkill series that was here originally so a favourite point for brining this one back!
Number 3 for the day and 17 overall on our trip to the island.

As we approached, I soon realised there was not much room on the road, so I babysat the car and let Cathylm do the searching. Kinda glad as I'm not keen on certain types of bugs!
Thanks for the fun

This one took me a bit to find as I didn't know what I was looking for and it was camoflauged into its surrounding. TFTC
Ive now noticed a trend with the hubby if a cache is on the side of the road ill jump out while he finds somewhere to park, somehow i always end up back at the car before he's even gotten out which was the clear example here. Log was a bit stuck but after a couple thumps i managed to get it out and sign it, replaced and all happy where it belongs.

Found this little cutie after a bit of a search, watched on by a curious wallaby who was sitting just up a bit in the middle of the road. When he was satisfied that we’d found the cache and signed the log, he hopped off. And so did we. TFTC
Now this one is cute!
Almost didn’t go for it due to a car parked right at gz jump off point. The big 4wd actually provided good cover though. Wonder what they’re doing here...

09/09/2018 - 11.45am - Find No. 963 - 1st of 5 finds and 2 dnf's for the day - with Non-geo-son.
We had loosely made plans to do a bit of geocaching earlier in the week & to head a bit out of our normal direction to allow for some new areas for his Pokemon/Ingress bits while I did some finding. I hadn't heard one way or the other about the trip after our initial discussion so I was pleasantly surprised when ngs sent a message to say he was out of bed & on the way, via gyms, stops & portals between his & mine of course! I had re-loaded finding device with a few more caches just in case the night before (which could have been testing the limits of finding devices capacity...) so I was ready when he arrived with a map loaded to check out the best direction to head for me to get a handful of caches & him to do some Po-Go/Ing stuff. After map perusal it was decided to head towards Tooradin or thereabouts ... well we started that way & ended up on Phillip Island instead ... Sort of close?
The weather was cloudy with a bit of a gusty breeze but we enjoyed it being slightly warmer than we had expected ... a pleasant day to head out for a bit of Pokemon/Ingress/Geocaching. We let the cache & known Pokemon/Ingress locations be our guide starting with Surf Beach, Sunderland Bay & then back past Scenic Estate before we headed off the island & made a stop at the cheese place at Bass for some afternoon tea before heading home but completely missing the location NGS had thought to stop at ... I had forgotten & he turned back towards home too soon, oh well ... next time for that one. We did encounter some misty rain & stronger wind along the way during the day & even some heavier rain while we were attempting to find a tricky one while we were in the midst of some ti-tree (yep ... where we got a dnf) but all in all it was a nice leisurely trip.
Our first stop had us heading off the main road towards this cache which just happened to be 60 metres from a known Pokemon/Ingress location . NGS quickly did his bit then we headed back for a quick look, find, log extraction ... camera retrieval (cos I'd left it in the car), photos, log signing, a better rolling up of the log so it wasn't jammed in & a return of cache to it's resting place as found. All good & thanks for the hunt Sorry for the late log ... just couldn't get my brain to give me words.

Found this little fella today after a lovely long beach walk. Has some trouble +++ getting the log out so the mark I left was tiny. Next time I'll remember to bring some TOTT. TFTC
Love the container!!! Met a wallaby on the road just checkin out the sunset! My first find on the road where I live! Thanks for the smile!

Today was time to get out the geocycle and travel along one of the many routes in the area so today we found 23 traditionals with 8 DNFs it was not a great day but it was a good day for a ride but those DNFs bring the day as a whole down but thats caching (Cache Blindness) or they just werent there only the cache owner knows which is the case. The other option is the lack of GPS accuracy using Iphone as GPS wasn't preloaded before going for the ride.
Thanks hell+back for placing and Gonefishen07 for keeping it in such good shape for us to find today all was good with this one.
Grand Cache count = 843 total consisting of 758 Traditionals, 24 Multi, 14 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual, 6 Event, 2 Werigo and 2 Letterbox.

This one took a bit to find, and luckily the road was quiet. Finally we spotted the cache, but getting the log out required a tool for us. Finally, signed and back, thanks.
