Was out for a quick walk to grab a few caches this morning.
Unfortunately, I didn't check the listing before detouring to nab this one.
Definitely not there.

Admittedly it is dark now so cache by iPhone, but we searched the logical and less logical caches and we unable to find the cache. Will try again another day. Tftc
Decided to go for a walk, parked up near the round about and wandered my way towards this one. No issues locating the cache, signed and replaced. Thanks for the hide Bruce's Run.
Lovely location and some pretty nice views. You definitely succeeded in bringing me out to this part of Mulligans. Sidenote - is that bottle meant to be there? Wasn't sure which was the cache at first
How wonderful is Mulligans Flat looking and a fabulous day to be out and about picking up my cache for the day. Missed this one when doing the centenary trail but have now turned the green dot to yellow. TFTC
Found while exploring North Mulligans with contesta and JohnnyBoyACT. Nice location with lots of lily pads on the nearby dam. Suspicious bottle needs to be removed. TFTC
Nice day for a walk to finish off this patch of caches in the north of the ACT. Easy find but Log full so left some paper. TFTC
I had found this one a long time ago but hadn’t shown up as logged. Anyway I have located it again. It’s certainly one of the most memorable ones in ACT - Ouch.
4051 of 3 at 9:29:00 AM on Tealby's Mega Tour (TMT) renamed Tealby's Nice Tour (TNT) because it was dynamite... or so it goes. The TNT team comprised 8 caching identities and 10 actual geocachers; including locals 2 BluFish, Sebass14 and Aykayem, plus visitors Kingfisher_au, BillHill531, Happy Feet 1 and Team GBS (all the way from Zimbabwe!). My tour was meant to be 20km in total, but we ended up walking just over 22km (although some recorded up to 24km on their apps). But we did finish by the promised time - all feeling decidedly weary but satisfied with the total haul. A fantastic day to be out for a walk on this section of the Centenary Trail - I had previously found a few of the caches, but still ended up with my biggest day's tally (and bigger than my total find count for 2013 and 2016!!). I had visions of finding a few extra to take it up to 100 finds, but it got too dark & I was too tired on my way home to bother. Maybe another day. Thanks for all the effort that has gone in to creating the caches - sonly a couple of DNFs along the way. TFTC!
Ok ... Finally catching up on my logging for all of my finds/etc during the Clearwaters Mega (getting around to doing things is not one of my strong points - lol) so sorry about the late log (I am logging it as the date I found it on, but am actually typing this in June ... so only 2 months late
Today began with a breakfast event (at which I did not buy breakfast - lol) and then I had to dash off from there early, in order to meet in Hall, to be ferried to the start point of the CCT tour walk ... which began with a dnf on a missing Gaurd rail cache, then a nice more than 20km walk for the 10 of us, making rather a lot of cache finds (with only a couple more DNFs), and where the last dozen or more were visits to ones I had already found on a couple of walks to One Tree Hill and back. Then it was a quick duck home to grab my ladder, so people could use it for the tree cache I was camped beside at the Mega, then a late arrival to the Meet the Mayor event back in QBN, followed by another 5km walk (in the dark, and part of which I ran, because I must be crazy) to be in on the joint FTF on the new night cache
These logs for today are going to be generic, with a mostly short comment (that I typed as a draft in the app as I found them) at the end ...
As far as I know, all of the CCT caches were logged with our group name "TNT" ... someone had suggested TMT (Tealbys Mega Team) but then I started singing a certain AC/DC song, so - once someone actually recognised what song I was attempting to sing (lucky there were no glass windows nearby - lol), a few N words were discussed, and it was decided that we had to be "Tealbys Nice Team" instead

In Queanbeyan to attend the Mega. So great to get here early to spend time catching up with some many familiar faces. Always taking the time to grab a cache, when the opportunity allowed it.
Out on Centenary Trail doing Tealby's Nice Tour so signed all logs as TNT. Had some fun and laughs along the way, while finding a number or good finds and enjoying the trail with it's wildlife, views and company.
Thanks Bruce's Run for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Found with a nice group doing the Centenary circuit with Tealby and signing as TNT while down for the Mega event at Clearwater. The walk was magnificent following the state border for most of the walk, finding over eighty caches on the way. Tanks For The Cache Bruce's Run

Thanks for the cache out and about in in a group from the mega logged as TNT
We had noticed the very attractive looking Centenary Trail on running a Pocket Query of the area while still back home in Africa, and so when the opportunity arose to hike the trail as part of the Clearwaters Mega experience we jumped at the chance and booked our places straight away. Today we were a group of 10 cachers led by Tealby, and so all logs were signed as TNT (Tealby's Nice Tour!). We had a major glip with our GPS about a quarter of the way around when suddenly, having just changed the batteries, we found ourselves with not a single cache on our GPS. No idea what happened there but many thanks to Kingfisher_au for having helped us get back on track by pinging the caches not yet found across to our GPS. We throughly enjoyed the day - it was a great hike (our GPS clocked up 22 kilometres) in good company with some super views and in excellent weather. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero where we got to see a good number of kangaroos. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Walking a section of the Canberra Centenary Trail from Forde to Hall today with the Tealby led OZ Mega Tour group - better known as TNT Tealby's Nice Tour. Logs signed with TNT for our group. Enjoyed the walk, the weather and the geocaching with a bunch of enthusiastic cachers from all parts of the world.
Love the very patriotic chook too.
Thanks Tealby and fellow cachers.

It’s been a slow caching month for me, work and illness have taken their toll. I needed a purpose, so decided on the last few of the hidden dates list of which this cache was one of the remaining 4.
A good walk with muggle mum in tow, I challenged her to find the cache once at GZ, should thought the container was interesting.
The inside of the container was damp but dried it out. The log is full and will need replacing.

Please do not touch the suspicious container. That is not the cache. The dog toy 'chicken' is the cache.
Found with lkrams and a bunch of geokids including one of my besties. No pen today, but I hope some photos of the find were taken (if required)
I found the chook! I also found a strange bottle of liquid. What’s all that about? Weird. By the way, the log was wet so I dried out the container. Hopefully that helps but the log probably needs some time in the sun to dry. The log is also full. TFTC
We haven't done a long caching walk for a couple of weeks, so thought we'd head out early today to tackle some up near Mulligan's Flat. We couldn't take The Woofer (she wasn't allowed, sadly!) but we still spent a nice few hours wandering the hills, collecting caches and checking out the views. Although most of them were (unfortunately) mint tins or similar, there were a few nice containers that we could leave swaps in. Found 28 caches in 3 hours. Not too shabby!
What a nice little spot for a....hold on, what's this bottle? And what the heck is in it? Put it down and back away slowly... The cache itself was cute, and it was a nice spot to gather ourselves before heading up the hill. TFTC!

I have been watching a couple of caches I DNF'd on the CCT S2. Seeing them come back on line in recent days, I figured I better take a short hike to pick up these and a couple of extras nearby before the day got too hot.
The final cache of the outing after a pleasant walk through the kangaroos. Nice little pond and a nice looking cache. The demonic bottle is still there. I resisted the temptation to sample the contents. TFTC
Random draft log word for this cache: McMinnville

Nice cache in a really pretty spot. The bottle still there, not sure what's in it but was not going to open it. The frogs were croaking even in the day. Thank you for the cache.
Found while out for a walk. The bottle is still there, but I didn't touch it. Lots of kangaroos around, I even saw a wallaby. Lots of wild flowers in bloom, including some donkey orchids. TFTC.

A wander off the beaten track. Followed animal tracks but they kept petering out . I checked out the bottle, it is, indeed, weird. Thanks for the cache Bruce's Run

Out today with dty73 on what ended up being a cold, windy and at times wet day for the walk between Hall to Mulligans Flat along the CCT. Still had this cache the last in the area to do so made the walk across on the way to the carpark, probably the hardest walk of the day with the car the other way! Weird bottle still there and got to see an echidna along the way as well. Thanks for the cache Bruce's Run.
Aquilus1 and I decided it was time to finish this run. The weather was hit and miss, but the wind was almost constant and harsh.
LAST ONE for the day!! We had left this one for some reason, so today we picked it up. Perhaps we should have had a try of the stuff in the bottle? It may have given us the energy to go there other way back to Hall? Or perhaps warmed us up from this stupid cold wind? Not far to the car now, so glad I left it. Who knows WHAT is there!?
We saw the cutest echidna on the way back to the car from here. Nature can be so cool! TFTC!!!

Went caching today with Chakram along parts of the Canberra Centenary Trail along Mulligan's Flat. Really nice cache... and the wierd skull bottle with mystery liquid is there there too. Thank you for all caches along the trail.
Geocaching with Legocacher on a cold, windy Canberra day. Happy to be back on the flat part of Mulligans. Cool container. TFTC
Managed to finish off the last unfound section of the CCT this afternoon. Completed the section in little of 3 hours, with 42 total finds and 2 DNFs. A number of caches had water soaked logs and were unable to be written on, these caches were mentioned respectively.
TFTC and the views.

13 of 14 found on a stroll around Mulligans Flat on a gorgeous Canberra afternoon. As per previous finder I wasn't sure if I wanted to trek into this one after a long walk but I just had to! Weird skull bottle still there...cute container! TFTC!
The last time I was here was over a year ago when I came to collect the newly published CCT series. I didn't have time to take the detour into the wide barren land for this one so it has always stuck out like a sore thumb on my map.
About a year ago another cache was published close to it so now I had two reasons to come out here!
I found a very interesting bottle hidden at GZ with the cache.... it was half full of some sort of liquid too.... oh well I left that there didn't want to bother who put it there! See pic attached.
Thanks Bruce's Run

After finishing nightshift this morning and with an event in Goulburn in predation for our upcoming roadtrip to Alice Springs for the mega event I was keen not to waste my days off. After work I left Goulburn to cache for the morning before the event this afternoon and the plan is meet up with local Canberra cacher darksidedan.
With plenty of energy and not yet feeling tired and with caches to be found I decided to first tackle some of the cct trail and a few nearby caches. With only one dnf I was happy with this mornings caches and most caches were found fairly easy however there seems to be a few who need some maintenance and logbooks were at times and previous cachers were kind enough to leave blank sheets for the next cacher! Handed out a few favourite points too!

Found on a walk across Mulligans Flat to collect some GA caches for the SSH. I have had my eye on this cache before but after walking the Centenary Trail I didn't have the will to do that 'one more cache'. I am glad I got to it today. A lovely spot with ducks on the nearby dam and not too hot today. Cache found in good condition. Thanks again
We found a safe place nearby to pull up. Donned the gators to keep seeds out of the socks. Walked a few hundred metres and made the find. (Didn't see any wriggly sticks today. )
Must have been getting tired - finally figured it out! Not small but irregular - a beauty, thank you Bruce
Nice container. The surrounding dams looked pretty in the sunshine. I collected this on a return trip after a walk along the border track from the little roundabout on Mulligan's Flat Road. I gave up on this one on a previous trip from the bottom carpark after concerted attacks by plovers on the flats. TFTC [8d]
A great day geocaching with TheSkype and the banker. The reserve was soggy in parts due to recent rains but all found. Tftc. Some logs, caches need some TLC big time. Real wet in these parts
#1999 Today I found 26 caches with the Green-Martian and The Banker. The grounds are still soggy from all the recent rains. This cache was a quick find, and loved the container. TFBUH Bruce's Run.
After my initial plan to grab some caches (and a moveable) in Mulligans was scrapped due to the cull (when did it become a 3pm start?!).. I rode up to the Northern Parts hoping to see if it was open...
And it was!
Headed to the Chook straight and quickly found. Gave it a few squeezes to further confuse the Roos nearby.
TFTC!

The forty-third of fifty caches found today on a very pleasant walk in Canberra's north. Great fun. TFTC
I took a quick walk to the Northern Campground to suss out water tank levels for a scout hike. Grabbed this one on the way back taking a different route planning a navigation exercise. Thanks BR.
First find of the day, what a great surprise to find this type of container, we loved it! I did have to empty water from main container, but log container was dry.
I had been planning a big day of caching for today. My goal was to get 105 caches for the day, starting with the CCT trail heading towards Mulligans Flat and then joining onto the Jackakid caches before finally finishing off with some more caches in Forde and then making my way to Yerrabi Pond for the last ten or so caches. This plan included around 30 km of walking, something which I was hoping would not be a problem given the amount of breaks I would take to find each cache. I loaded up my bag with food, ~3L of water, GPS, phone, and other essential caching/walking equipment.
I hit the trail at 8:30 am, starting off with CCT - S3 - And so it begins. I set very good pace for the S3 set, finding a cache every 3 minutes or so (which was well ahead of schedule), until I got to CCT - S3 - Twisting where I took a very long time to find the cache (half an hour to be precise). There was one spot that looked incredibly obvious and matched the hint well. PAFs were went out and it wasn't until I started searching more methodically that I soon spotted the container in a spot which I did not expect. With that one knocked off, it was back to the earlier pace. There were only a couple of other tricky ones along the way but I had finished the CCT trail component of today's walk in about 4 hours.
Included in the CCT trail caches were some nice ones by other geocachers. It was nice to find a Spindoctors cache along the way as well as an mtbikeroz one, a Tankengine one (which I didn't have the best timing with) and a few Rapidlywild caches (including Reaching for the Sky which I was really happy to find as I didn't want to do a return trip. It was a bit of a silly idea as it was quite windy when I attempted it but I signed the log and descended to the ground unscathed without requiring a 'Special Tool'). Thanks to Champs2Monkeys for this part of the series, it was an enjoyable walk!
After collecting all the caches on the trail, I headed over to start the Jackakid caches. Overall, I had no trouble finding them which meant I had time for a little side trip to collect a letterbox hybrid, Celestial Storm (I had gotten first to solve on this one, it was a great and cleverly constructed puzzle and I learnt quite a bit) and some of the NPS series caches (which gave me just enough info to confirm where I thought the final would be). After collecting these few, I headed back to the main trail and continued on finding the Jackakid caches and others that were along the way.
After about an hour and a half in Mulligans Flat, I headed out and continued around Bonner following the Jackakid trail. The smell of smoke was in the air and there was a massive dust storm blowing in the distance. I spent a bit too long searching for Ducktasia which really cut into my limited time. It was about half past 3 when I reached JackaKid's Geocache 5 - Dunstan VC and was headed off to the last few caches in Forde before heading for Yerrabi Pond. I found Fore!ign Body without a lid so that may need to be check up on.
I was really tired by the time I reached Damp Fore!head, and called in to my mum to say I was ready to be picked up. I headed off and collected one more (Wings of Excellence) before going to Forde shops to buy a drink, without realizing I had dropped my money along the trail. I ended up with 93 caches for the day, and some massive heat blisters on my heels to remind me of the trip. All up, it took me 8 hours to find the caches. Thanks to all the COs who placed caches that I found today, I apologize for the copy paste logs!

Wilbert67 joins us today on a day of caching in Canberra, we hopped on our bikes , early start while it's still nice and cool. We did this trail and picking up others along the way. A detour across a rather large "paddock" led us to this cache. We were heading back to the car, but still had another km or two to cover, and this cache provided us with a midway point between our location and the car.
A rather cute cache guardian greeted us and we signed the log before heading towrds the car on Mulligans Flat Road.

Sunday 19 April 2015 - cold Autumn afternoon with rain clouds that settled in since mid-morning so at 10 degrees we were rugged up to manage both cold winds and a light sprinkle of rain every now and then.

Nice night out, quick find a little awkward putting the cache back in its house. Also the original Log is full & disintegrated from getting wet. Someone has put a sheet of waterproof paper in there but it is filling up.
