We looked at the wrong rock until we realized we were still 50 something meters away. Don't worry there were no spiders in the crack it's in.
After a long day of travelling, I arrived in Alex and decided to stretch my legs. Kubabelle suggested this cache and so off we went with the little one in tow. This was a really beautiful park and I enjoyed the stroll to the cache. A very good hint and spot on coordinates. Thanks for the cache.
Had a very pleasant walk to the cache - parked by the dam and walked south over the private road into the park proper. Clearly a very well-cared-for area, and I will definitely be back for a more casual walk in the future. Cache was easy enough to spot and glad to find one with a bit more room for swaps. Tftc!
Mr Adinache took the hard track up to this cache. Spotted by a muggle just as he opened the cache…. “What are you doing?” After an explanation on what caching was, he remembered someone telling him about caching then proceeded to talk about the park and conserving the area. TFTC

with annielin and dsi. nice to be exploring the area that i've not been in before. have driven past here numerous times, and finally it was time to stop and expleore.
As always I took the long way to the cache. Nice area. All good with the cache. Thanks
Very hard to find not exactly where the marker is on the map, great clue though, look for the two ‘eyes’ in the rock looking over it closely! Thanks, great hunt for the kids
Wasn't sure how to get to this one so today ignored private road signs and drive in. What a fabulous place. Gets a fave from me. Love these rocks.
A nice Sunny weekend missed this cache prior. But an over night trip with P&Vee and hubby's found it no problems.

Like VDH56 said, second time trying after trying to come in from the bottom. Never would of knew this hidden gem was here.
Out with a friend from the area showing me around. So I showed them geocaching. Tftc
Just moved to the area and this cache lead us to the most amazing spots nearby!
Amazing park - so peaceful and pretty. Had no idea it was here
Thanks for placing the cache and bringing me here

Don’t recommend doing it in Jandals though!! Tftc

What an amazing spot! Can’t believe we’ve never been here before - will definitely be back. Got chased by ducks at the dam, will need to bring bread next time!
How amazing to find such a quiet, peaceful place so close to the highway. GPS brought me to close but did move around a bit. After a bit of a hunt around, I read some of the previous comments about the typical geocache stack, and soon had the cache in hand. Love the fragrances of the trees in here. A Fav vote from me. TFTC.
Cache 420 This park is amazing not the standard kiwi bush. It reminds me of pictures I’ve seen of Yellowstone park in America with the rocks and sparse trees it’s absolutely stunning, I’m so pleased there was a cache here so I could enjoy it (for that this cache gets a fave point ) Cache was well hidden but spotted by a recognisable geocache stack in front of it. Cache in good condition Rock bug added to cache T4TC
Lovey area never been here before, took our dog he loved every bet of it. Tftc sl and replaced!
Tftc. Had a great hunt through the park. Even found a painted rock. Our 2 GPS machines were not that handy in location has to rely on your catchers eye.
Fun cache with the little ones. Lots of exploring to be done. A great view from cache site. Tftc
What a magical hidden gem thanks so much for showing me this, gotta love geoaching awesome as and for my 1000th cache very fitting and a fairly easy find tftc
Needed a cache to keep out day streak and after spending some time feeding ducks at the nearby pond we walked over and found quickly as it was obvious with items hiding it. Dropped a tb. Thanks for the cache.
*Galloping head long into October Spring days with a return to Otago now that the majority of attainable caches saved on the PQ in Southland have been signed*. Two years, three visits, grrr. I don't like Alexandra that much, it's the further most town from my caching centre and less likely to be passing through going to other places north of the line. I don't cope well with the heat here and have never had to endure a Blossom festival. Something about high temperatures, alcohol, crowds - alcohol, said crowds lined up behind the rent a fence waiting for their guardians to collect them. Yep, don't like Alexandra. Had targeted the PMO nano, an archived cache and the armchaired multi the first time caching in town, yep drunk peeps at 5am. Found 2/3 before daybreak and then attempted this cache. Blown fuddly temps grrrr trees grrr rocks grr useless hint grrr. Walked away, twice. Returned, parked up the private road, no one came running. Walked down old places, searched old places, move to next place well over to left of previous places, ok - spotted the holey rubbish bag in suspicious firewood pile in something resembling the hint and found the yoghurt cache. Been dry for awhile since others had maintained it and the two logbooks were dry and double bagged. The CO had not recorded a O/M in six years but have been active in the area last season. Removed the tatty rubbish bag and returned the cache to the hide. A more helpful hint would be proximity to the memorial plaques and pencil cedars. Thanks for bringing me back here, threefold, for the cache, noice arboretum covenant. *A standard dot day cache*.
Jammed my thumb in the van at work so a few extra days off work so back up this way for a few more days and some more caching. This was a nice walk ut took a long ti.e to find. TFTC
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 5 of our extended Easter break in Central Otago. Today we are travelling south to Roxburgh, via Roxburgh village and Roxburgh East Rd, then back to Clyde again via SH8.
We had left this cache for the return journey. The hardest part was finding a way in. The link on the web page no longer works but I found some info on line. We parked where near the sign, but found there were no tracks there, so carried on further up the road, where we spotted a track from the road. It was not signposted so obviously the locals want to keep this lovely wee park a secret .
Lots of crisscrossing paths, but we made it to GZ, where the batteries in my GPSr died. While I sat on a nearby seat to rectify this situation, SW got down to business and found the cache. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.

#17002. Parking place number 1 was next to the first sign we saw, but we were on the wrong side of a gully, so that didn't look promising. We decided to drive a little further, and ended up parking next to a pond. We climbed up to a pond and followed a track around the edge of the pond that seemed to be going the right way, and before long we were at GZ. We enjoyed exploring the park. TFTC.
One of 15 located today between Cromwell and Roxburgh, including the Bendigo area, on day 2 of a week-long break in the Central Otago / Southland region.
Nice setting here. Found the spot without much difficulty but the outside wrapper caused me to think this was actually discarded refuse which I didn’t want to touch! Continued searching but came back to the original object. Prodded it with a stick and it felt like hard plastic. At that point I decided it could be the cache, and so it proved to be! #2395. TFTC.

On our South Island adventure from Perth WA. A nice easy find with Spuddycakes in tow. TFTC
My phone didn't want to play under the trees so we put it away and looked everywhere after about 10 mins we had it

Once again made an easy find a lot harder than it needed to be. Anyhow great hide in a very good area. Geodogs loved it too. Tftc
Just completed the Otago Rail trail and tomorrow we are going to ride the Clutha Gold trail. A rest day in Alexandria walking 18 kilometres and cycling 6 kilometres geocaching. TFTC.
Lived in Roxburgh many years and never walked in this parkland...nice walking spot. Will be back. Not too difficult when you get to the spot
Up for a couple of days of caching staying in Cromwell. Loved every minute of it.

Did a quick diversion to here on the way out of Alexandra this morning. I'm glad I did, it's a great area! Found the cache very quickly, no problems. Signed log, thanks for the cache and for bringing me here!
An evening wander from our holiday rental to find this relatively old cache. Impressive area! Found that the logbook was full, so returned a couple of days later with a new logbook. Also wrapped the container in a plastic bag to keep it dry over winter.

About a year ago I drove by but had gone too far past the cache before finding a suitable parking spot. Today I drove a lot slower and then made a cross country trip to the cache. Nice country.
Light was fading and after parking nearby, took another track to the GZ, the wrong track. Headed out another way but appears to be a private road??? Will pop back some day and hopefully cache will have been maintained by then not needing a new logbook. No one likes finding manky putty logs.
I had to bring geandsonbthro for sport so while he played i disappeared off to licate a cwche or two while down here in the south usland. This was my second visit here after getting hopelessly confused last time. So it was good to locate it . I found a space and I tried to scratch my initials on a the damp and full log book. Thank you for 5h8s cache and another smiley face.
A quick visit to Alex for grandkids Staurday net ball sport do i hived off to locate this cache. I tried scratching initials unsuccessfully as full and Wet.
I'm on a 5 day caching trip in the south island. Have a few aims - right now its to up a few specific caches that I need to complete my grid for a challenge - and find some interesting caches on the way 1800km later I can say I've accomplished my aim!
This is another of those places that you wouldn't know about without geocaching. We've often driven past on the main road out of Alexandra and never knew about this lovely park. Found with debsnz
Thanks for placing as we discovered a peaceful place away from prying eyes. Found with AorakiSheep
Guwapo, Mama and Papa on the way home and stopped for a cache. Nice walk in the park and found without any problems. Salamat!
Log book full.
Log book full.
Took my son and nephews to introduce them to geocaching. Met the founder of the park, a lovely man who created such a beautiful asset for Alexandra.
What a special spot and did we choose the right time to visit (see photo). Hard to know where to park but found a wee lay-by on private road.
A lovely afternoon exploring the area and getting a few caches. Never knew this park was up here. Funny to see so many daffodils growing when the gound is so dry. TFTC
Staying in omakau for the weekend. time to put a few smiles around Alex.
Felt like I was wondering through someone's garden with all the hose and sprinklers around the place. Quick find tftc poured out the water from the container.

5th and last find of the day. Thanks for taking us to another place that we've been aware of but never visited, and some views. Pleasingly, the nearby dam looks much tidier than I remember.

Found this with Bid and Frances. Not too hard to find.
Was lucky to meet Mr Manning on the way to the cache.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Traveling from Te Anau to Queenstown via Roxburgh (on a geocaching quest involving two continents), we also happened to pass through Alexandra and noticed that there was a travelbug to be rescued here. So we HAD to stop. Turned out the terrain challenge was raised a star by the fact that a rainbird (sprinkler) was working very hard right on top of the feature the cache is stashed in! We took temporary hose-stoppage measures while we grabbed the cache and then rehid it. Great little park! Very happy to have had a reason to visit. TFTH.
What a lovely, charming park! found with annevoi, teamwork to obtain & replace. TFTC!
A pleasant walk with my muggle friend. The daffodils amongst the trees looked gorgeous.
Were unsure how to get into the park as said Private Road. Is it a private park? However a nice little walk to the cache. Someone is doing a lot of work with all the hoses!!
