After competing in the Hillclimb at nearby Murrays Rd, stopped off here to find this cache. Found the holy tree, but unfortunately no cache present.

21-Nov-15
heading out for a caching weekend, with the route choose by caches off the beaten track,. just how we like it..

unfortunately we found plenty of holes and plenty of candidates here but no container... so the rain eventually dampened our enthusiasm sufficiently to move us back to the car

09-Oct-15
Staying with family for a few weeks before heading onto Oz. Kids were playing in the park when I noticed this one not too far away.

Quick find once the right tree was spotted. TFTC!

06-Oct-15
Could've parked closer, but found it - this tree was in need of a cache.
Lovely park, but dogs are tired after doing the planet series.
TFTC

04-Oct-15
A quick easy find as consolation prize after losing out at the Dmax Hunt nearby. Very picturesque & lovely park, good hide & a nice new fresh logbook. TFTC

29-Jul-15
On a job around Onewhero ways, I grabbed this on the return to Hamilton. No problems here, had to run back and grab some tweezers to pull out, TFTC! Smile a nice area

28-Jul-15
Out and about this morning for a drive in the country, collecting some caches as I went. This was my first stop. Parked up close by and made my way to GZ. Cache was detected in the first spot examined for a super quick find. Took longer to get the log out! All good here. Cheers for the cache placement!

31-Dec-14
Excellent access to the river from here. Cache found in good condition. Cheers for the cache.

28-Dec-14
Please can finders just replace the cache and cover it up with some bark. I did a cache check here today and it was just thrown in the hole in plain sight. Why would you do that????????

29-Nov-14
Another choice treasure hunt, cheers!

16-Nov-14
A huge thanks to FapAndGap for fixing this cache for us. It had been far to long out of action. we owe you.

15-Nov-14
10.10am - Replaced log sheet and container for the jaybees with their permission. Cache in same location so this cache can now be reactivated. SLTFTC

15-Nov-14
Another grand adventure with Gap (of Fap and Gap). We hope to rack up as many caches as we can, and put them toward our current GIO License Challenge. Today, we head to North-West Waikato to tackle some of the most isolated, far-flung caches I've ever seen. A big drive that will take us from Port Waikato to Raglan Harbour, and everywhere in between... And the weather is going to make this ride interesting.

This cache had definitely disappeared and it had been disabled for a while. Gap was given permission to replace this, so we signed the log as found. It is now ready to be reactivated. The container is a small 'V' bottle. TFTC.

02-Jan-14
Looks like is missing. Will fix when we go that way in the future.

02-Jan-14
Found the obvious location, but no cache.

16-Dec-13

28-Oct-13
Coordinates good, clue even better but the cache appears to have gone.

18-Aug-13
Today, Vamber, KiwifruitsNZ and alpenmilch80 decided to tackle some of the caches out this way. We enjoyed a day of lovely (and muddy) walking, chatting and caching of course!

This cache proved no problems for us, despite taking a wee bit of the muddier approach to GZ!

TFTC Smile

18-Aug-13
After finishing the Solar System trail, Vamber, alpenmilch80 and KiwifruitsNZ decided to tackle a few more caches in the area, with one aim being to see KFNZ secure their 1600th cache!

Whilst one team member decided to stretch their legs, the rest of the party drove to ground zero. Despite the use of automobiles, the tortoise was the winner on the day!

18-Aug-13
During the event at the Auckland's Botanical Gardens Team Vamber invited me to come along to tackle together with KiwifruitsNZ the Solar System trail and other caches in the area. I was a little bit scared about the weather forecast but it turned out to be a rain free sunny day Smile. Due to the rain yesterday we had some muddy patches to cross which we all mastered slip-free and were rewarded later the day with some great ice cream....

Had a man vs car race to GZ which provided some nice laughter within the group. TFTC

16-Aug-13
The hint makes it pretty obvious but a cool hiding place anyway.

29-Jul-13
Quick n easy find. Then walking back to the wheels Mr ToT read the hint. Where we found was not where the hint suggested it be. So back we went and now cache is where hint suggests it be. TFTC!!!

21-Jul-13
Found it eventually when we abandoned the phone in favour of the old GPS. More looking down was required. Tftc

Wasn't very optomistic, with the last couple of DNF's, and was even not going to look for this one. Decided since I'm here I might as well have a quick look. Got dragged into the bark pile and started digging but the cache name didn't quite make sense. Looked around abit and found something that was look plausable. Cache in had soon after.

01-Dec-12
Oops, no joy today in the obvious or in the less obvious. Too sneaky for me.

01-Dec-12
No luck for me either

20-Nov-12
Interesting part of the world, can't remember ever have been here before. Cache was a quick find, thankyou.

03-Nov-12
Had to laugh when I read the hint then saw the "handy" pile of bark within 10m of the cache that I assume the cache owner must have left there for our convenience Wink (see photo).
Many thanks

11-Feb-12
Found on our 24hr cache-a-tron mission from Auckland to the Waikato. Unfortunately the gardening gloves were left at home, but our paper with all the caches we hoped to find did the trick and moved the prickles out of the way and we soon had the cache in hand! TFTC!

28 of 164 finds in the 24hr Cache-A-Tron Waikato Cache Raid
(http://cacheatron.blogspot.com)

Alas Loz47's excellent bag of tricks failed us and we were gloveless for retrieval of the cache in amongst many prickles. Fortunately, our 16page thick cacheatron cache list provided a most worthy substitute, and the cache was quicjly retrieved from it's hidey hole.

Nice place - we were all very impressed with the houseboat we saw on the way here too

Great little spot, Would have been a nice spot for a picnic beside the river, but no time for that on this trip. 5 Min timelimit. those were the rules. Found it and moved on quickly. Prickles, damn Prickles.

Found on our 24hr caching mission, Cache-A-Tron - Auckland to Hamilton and back again. Gardening gloves would have been useful for this one, should put some of them into the geocaching bag... Luckily our paper worked ok to move the prickles out of the way. TFTC.
