This road trip was hatched about a year ago by Tycoon Otto and myself. The original plan was to go back down to the US and hit some power trails, but it morphed into a 13 day, 17,500km geo-odyssey. During this road trip I had several highlights:
1) Got my 7,000th cache and well onto my way to 8,000.
2) Signed 1,026 caches in a single day (HMD power trail California).
3) Visited 18 states in one single 24 hour period.
4) Got 12 different cache types in a single day.
5) Visited "Mingo" the oldest active cache in the world.
6) Signed 1,548 caches during this 13 day period.
7) Cached in 48 states.
More importantly, there were several memories and sites I will never forget. I thoroughly enjoyed the town of St. Charles, Missouri and Cadillac ranch on Route 66.
I will post a picture of our track log in GCZ02V (Seeing Seagulls) and GCMQ1X (Weigh up), the first and last caches in this road trip.
As always caching with Tycoon Otto was a blast. Thanks again for a great caching experience.
To all the cache owners that made this possible, thanks for the cache and happy caching!!!

So today I was Day 6 of the “Desert Rats Caching Crew” (DRCC) caching Expedition to California and Nevada.
The crew consists or MarbleGuy, Firefighter Skippy and I (wawindaji).
So today we started out at 0500hrs in Las Vegas, Nevada, we cached in and around the Vegas area specifically the doggy series, before heading down to Barstow CA where we did the Yer series and the Planes trains and Automobile series. In addition we picked up whatever other caches we could along the way. Our final destination for the day was San Bernardino CA.
Yet another great day of caching, total haul being just over 500 caches.
As usual I will not discuss the specifics of any cache so as to ensure those that follow may enjoy the experience.
Logs were signed either, DRCC or Desert Rats Caching Crew, depending on space available.
Many thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining these caches.

The DRCC (Desert Rats Cache Crew - myself, Marbleguy, and Wawindaji) Have come west from CT. Today we drove from Vegas to Barstow. We did several different power trails and managed over 500 caches today. The weather today was sunny, and warm so much nicer than New England where it is still cool (30's at night to @60 in the day). Thanks to the cache owners for placing the caches for us to find.
The Desert Rats Caching Crew has hit some more of the Southern California desert today for another caching adventure. Today we began our journey in Las Vegas and then headed to the Barstow area for some power trails. We cached today from early in the day to quite late at night.. Thanks.
Found the location with kcorne1, but no container. We replaced it with a new container & log, but thinking back later, I probably didn't sign the log. I wrote the GC# & "Replacement Log" on the log in the replacement cache but probably forgot to sign our names, but we were there. #4 of 36 today. TFTC.
Today was a day for Geo-Art
Thanks you for the idea and the work for all those caches, Moredale-NL.

Spent the day picking up a few series in the area. Nearly all caches where quick finds and in good condition. Thanks to the cache owners for placing all of these caches for me to find.
We've come to the desert to escape this years endless New England winter, find sunshine and to pick up some caches. We have succeeded!!! TFTC
