TFTC. Our first find on this visit from the UK. What a beautiful place! Lots of wild birds and wading birds. Thanks again.
a fun fast find for our 5yo in winter. Travelling the country in a caravan and exploring beautiful spots.@blomm_voyage: a fun stone we found down on the beach
Didn't plan on geocaching today and didn't have a pen. But after a walk on the beach, we stopped on the basket ball court for a sheltered snack. Quick find at gz. Both container and logbook were in good condition and perfectly dry.
Quick find on a walk to check out cute courts. We have our rackets with us so will have a game this afternoon! Tftc
Hunt successful! Out on a days caching expedition to track down caches I've been wanting to do for a while - super handy when there's 2 cachers!
I had wanted to come up to Gore Bay for awhile, knotobsessed had told me about it before, so we opted to team up and get a few rural caches. On the way by, we grabbed this. Everything was fine at GZ. Nice area, thanks for bringing us here TFTC HeyTopps, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 2 find(s) of 10 today, making this find #4645
A beautiful day to be here. No one playing tennis so the cache was a quick find. TFTC.
Drove out to Motunau Beach in pouring rain. A quick search soon had the cache in my hands. Nice to be able to tick this unfound off. Thanks HeyTopps.
Had a lovely wander around here with my friend today, lovely camping area and we enjoyed looking at the rocks on the beach. Thanks for placing a cache here, much appreciated.
I've been here before, can't remember why didn't find it, possibly too many muggles. Thanks HeyTopps

A crowd was exiting from the courts as I was approaching so I continued down to the beach for the multi. All clear on the way back out which made for a quick park and grab. TFTC # 18,904
A park and grab. Was able to park very close to the cache with the car shielding my activities; TFTC
Found after a fossil fossick for International EarthCache day. The coordinates were a little bit off, but the hint made it very clear. TFTC!
I was here 6.5 years ago but didn't have any luck but not this time. Dutifully signed the log.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Visiting family at there bach and decided to come up and look. Had a quick few holes of golf before doing a quick find.

I found this last Sunday 1/8/21. A bit late in logging it. A good easy find .
Early morning walk whilst camping overnight here. Lovely and sunny but a bit chilly. My GPS wouldn't settle but the hint helped. Poppy the dog didn't even notice the dead hedgehog! Only one muggle in a ute giving me the suspicious eye but a dog and a poo bag is always good camo. Lots of bird activity though so I went back to the camper to enjoy their singing. Tftc
First time ever in motunau-staying in caravan in the campground-only ones here so far. Easy find-TFTC
As we were driving around trying to locate the cache site we saw two other cats parked at GZ. Now what could they be doing? Signing a log! We joined then and introductions were made. By the time we left there were 5 cars there. We all continued down the road to the meeting place for our afternoon tea event.
Nice easy find on our way to the event at the beach. We landed up with about 6 vehicles and what would they all be doing????? Found with Geomum007 and Streetwalker and Troodles. TFTC
Arrived to find several other vehicles parked up and cache was a quick find
Pulled up here and located the cache with SWAT and Busy paws. Then got joined by another 6 cars on the same mission, good fun! TFTC.
Arrived at GZ to find a group... but none had tennis racquets... they seemed to be more of a huddle and armed with pens. More and more vehicles stopped... anyone would think there was an event on or something. TFTC HeyTopps
We were on our way to event at Motunau and this was on the list to find before that. Stopped and found many other vehicles here all doing the same. Happy to sign log, thanks for this cache HeyTopps.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ, Geomum and Busy paws en route to the event at Motunau. Thanks to the hint, the cache was a quick find.
Just after we had rehidden the container, a car stopped by us, and this was the start of a continuing succession of geocachers arriving for the event. We weren't mean enough to make everyone search for the cache , and just handed it to each new arrival. TFTC.

Fortified by afternoon tea at Fossil Point cafe we got this on the way to the event. Tftc
#18711. We got to GZ about 30 mins before the nearby event, and it was deserted. Half a dozen cars arrived in quick succession, and the log book passed through many sets of hands. TFTC.
While driving around we spotted a group of fellow cachers at GZ, and stopped to join the queue to sign the log. Them drove en-masse to the afternoon tea event
A nice quick find thanks. Pulled up and couldn't get a park. So many geocachers here! They moved on to the Picnic then we made a QEF.
Ms_KR and I cruised around town for a while then a wee road trip to Motanau Beach for an picnic and Earthcache. The weather got better throughout the day and it was a nice drive.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

After a lot of searching we found it in a different place so relocated it back to coincide with the clue.
A bit damp. Lovely area.

A bit of a "mad-cap" drive to Motunau late this afternoon with K C N - I had the urge to claim the Drive to Motunau Multi and felt like an air-conditioned drive.
This was on our way, so we were happy to stop & find this cache first.
Not particularly well covered - we tried to improve things a bit.
Thanks for the cache, HeyTopps.

Found with Kotuku SI who made the find after I had a quick look for it in the spot found. First find of the day as we were here to do the Multi as a priority - this was a bonus.
Out for a nice Sunday morning caching drive with the middle one. The cache was not really hidden as it is visible when standing over it, but the coords had me 20m out. TFTC!!
We looked for a while and were just about to do a DNF when my daughter found it! Well hidden keep looking!
Took a wee while to locate this. I had to read back through some logs then I honed onto it.
Its all in good order.

Motunau is a Beautiful Place We have a Bach here and thought it would of been a nice opportunity to grab a cache in my favourite area Unfortunately I could not find Cache Think it has been Muggled

Not many little bunnies for us today, too brown out here for them. A quick grab having walked past it a few times while we were down camping at the domain. Cheers
Found with Injeanious and The Burnsy - we signed the log as JeJeBu to save space. Nice quick find, TFTC!
A quick find for us on a hot day. We timed it just right as the people who were playing tennis were just leaving as we arrived. Tftc.
At the moment Pfote and me are on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. After more than two years in Australia we took the chance to be so close to New Zealand, which is the farthest place on earth from our home. So we hopped over and will travel at least most of the south island in the upcoming months.
After spending some time walking around the cold and windy beach we walked up here and scored an easy find.
TFTC and greetings from Germany.

JDScout was keen to go for an adventure with me today. I suggested coming out this way and he agreed. We nearly gave up on this one but I spotted it. I can't remember visiting Motinau before.
It took us a wee while to find this cache, a few metres south of the coordinates. As it was actually in full view, we placed a white rock over it. TFTC
Took my grandchildren for a very successful fossil hunt and found this afterwards. TFTC
We didn't hold much hope of finding this after reading the previous log. It was cold and windy and absolutely quiet, a perfect time to have a good search. Quick find! Though the co-ordinates were out a bit we looked where we thought it would be. TFTC HeyTopps.
I think this one has gone if it was in the bush just inside the gate.
If not, I still couldn't find it as I did look elsewhere.

TFTC. I was in the area to complete the nearby fossil earthcache and thought it would be rude to drive past this one.
The coords had me on either side of the fence. As I was considering my options a loud voice boomed out "Where you ere the first time, somewhere near a white rock!!" I looked around and on the hill across the road was the waving. observant and helpful local.
TFTC HeyTopps.

TFTC HeyTopps.
Found quickly! The cache location has been littered, if someone decides to clean up, the cache probably won't survive.

Found this one on our way back to chch.
We were going to do the Motunau Mouth multi, but then found that final location (if we worked it out right! ) would not be the best to access in rain in the shoes we were in!
So found this one instead. Took a while actually, as the cover made it look like undesirable to touch rubbish!
But touched and signed in the end.

A quick find before a lunch stop in Motunau today on the way north to Kaikoura. Signed log, TFTC!
Nice quick find on the way out of Motunau after going down the beach to the Fossil Fossicking Earthcache. A little exposed so hid slightly better. TFTC
Quick find in the dark. We would have loved to have been here in the light, looks like a great wee place tftc
A quick find after the main "Drive to Motunau River Mouth" success. A lovely day, boats going out fishing - what a life.... TFTC
deserted today..cache exposed, may not be at origonal spot, left it more covered
