A local cache for us excited its such a cool one. Little As favourite cache so far closing in at 100 finds
I have had WAGB, and caching in WA, on my todo list for some time. I contemplated booking in earlier in the year but couldnt commit. Two weeks ago I decided I might just be able to make it work. So a mad scramble began. Last minute flights, accommodation and cache plans - tick, tick, tick! Fast forward a couple of crazy weeks and Ive finally landed. Today I finally get to add the last Australian souvenir to my collection, WA! Having got up at 4am to catch a flight (2am WA time) it was a very long day, but super rewarding and superb weather. This is one of the first WA caches added to my find list.A clever twist on a classic hide. I can see Im going to enjoy my afternoon in this area. A favourite point for your efforts.A big thanks goes to jacaro44 for taking the time to add Canning Views to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! The fun just never stops.Have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? (Think Mega but even more special!)Join us on 22-23 March 2025 in Sunbury to celebrate 25 years of geocaching by logging your will attend at [**GCAP417**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).
We could not find a parking spot near GZ so we drove down Sulman Av and walked the path from there. What a beautiful spot with great views, with the bonus of an extremely clever cache, which was well thought out. Favourite point added. TFTC.
The cache has been treated to ensure all insects pests are aware that they are unwelcome. Especially large spiders
Found it but the cache holder has detached. A HUGE huntsman went in to join it, so there was no way I was going to fight it for the prize, as I'd probably lose. It's the largest I've seen (spider, not cache) and it nearly touched geoson's hand. He was freaked and he loves spiders.Happy to send photo to CO as proof of find.
Very clever little mechanism. I located the cache but my daughter figured out how to get to it. TFTC.
I have just checked this cache again and it Definitely, does not require any maintenance. It only requires a little more attention to detail from the seeker of the smiley. Enjoy
Definitely needs maintenance. I found this cache a few years ago when I was still a muggle. So I thought that I should come back and officially log it today, however the cache was not in its spot. TFTC
Found immediately, but will admit that we were here yesterday too. Great cache, thanks!
Brilliant! Fabulous! So clever and intriguing! Quickly retrieved, too, because I read your hint about the toggle, otherwise I would have thought I needed a TOTT. TFTC.
Found by Team SIC Sir Fancy, I C Nothing and Cirrus_Wa for another night of caching. Very nice camo! All caches found easily and in good condition. Thank you for placing.
A SIC (SirFancy, I C Nothing and Cirrus_WA) night out caching.
Cache in good condition.
This is my 2884 find.
Thank you jacaro44 for placing and maintaining this cache.
Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!

Worked past some fencing near GZ and found the container quickly.
Took a few more minutes and a couple of I’ll fated attempts before spying what we were missing to be able to get the cache in hand.
A most deserved favourite point coming for a fantastic cache.

Back at it on a Tuesday night with SirFancy and this week we were joined by I C Nothing, signing mainly as SIC.
We did a bit of a loop through the south east corridor collecting caches from Manning, down to Gosnells and Armadale before heading back towards Cockburn.
On a cool night I managed to collect 10 finds, 5 adventure labs and 1 DNF.

Thanks jacaro44 for placing Canning Views for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 20:13 on 21/6/2022.
This is find number 5275 for me.

Out this evening and passed by this spot so stopped to make this find. There's no access down to the lower path from here at the moment (a while yet I suspect) but still a.decent view and cache to be had. The cache I knew was.in the obvious spot, all signs pointed to it being there, but I had to take a moment to figure out how to make it appear - and luckily when it did I was still able to reach it (although I could imagine a scenario where the cache would have been lost). I note now, "gently" was probably the descriptor I needed. Nevertheless a find is a find is a find. And a good one at that so another FP is added to your growing tally for this one. Thanks for the hide jacaro44
Wow what a great hide! Definitely worth a favourite point for the views and the cache! TFTC jacaro44
Great work and magnificent views on a clear still morning..cache and log in excellent condition tftc and a fav for me

Found it quick enough, but was stumped as to how to retrieve it, soon enough I figured it out, excellent cache TFTC
After nabbing an FTF and enjoying some fish and chips on the Mount Pleasant foreshore, 777Tiger and I went to grab some caches in the Manning area.
Quick find here this evening. An excellent setup - very well done. A fair bit of work went in here. For that reason, I am giving you a favourite point. Thanks jacaro44!

A great little cache that does not seem to have been visited for a long time. We have seen this style used a few times before so we dialed in on it quickly.
Coordinates were good enough but not perfect so just use you geosense and think a bit outside the box. Don't go climbing over fences or causing damage. I think if you wanted you could even do this in a wheelchair.
Thanks for the inventive and well made cache. Very enjoyable.
A favorite from us....

I tried approaching from the east but was blocked by the closed boardwalk. I drove around and quickly found a spot and soon worked out what to do. Great cache and nice view. Have a fav. TFTC
The boardwalk is currently blocked off for restoration and cache is not accessible.
Out for some caching today and down to this awesome spot to get our smiley. What a terrific sneaky cache! Total fav from us. Happy Easter!
Very clever piece of work jacaro44; just perfect. Cache and log both in good nick and extraction method working brilliantly; well done a fav. coming your way.
Day 73 of 365! Two months down 10 to go! It’s been fun following through on my New Years resolution.
Absolute ingenious cache! Took me a sec to figure it out but I eventually did. Very clever. Would give 10 favs if I could! Tftc

Absolutely no need for sticks, magnets, or water to retrieve as the hint is very applicable.
A bit hard to extract, but managed with some sticks. No-one at the park which gave us some peace during search and extraction/replacement. TFTC
Find 7 of 18 with 3 DNFs on a return bike ride from Como taking in Salter Point, Waterford, Wilson and Rossmoyne. The weather was perfect and lunch at Wilson was pretty good too.
All the finds were pretty quick, but the DNFs were long!
Awesome to see the view unfold here. Retrieval had to be improvised as the hint no longer applies.

Great views of the river from this spot. Managed to extract the cache after a bit of effort. Will be easier for the next person to find it. Thanks for the cache.
TFTC nicest log sheet ive seen. Easy to find just had to use what was around to get it.
Found the cache straight away in a spot familiar to most cachers, but getting to it was the issue. Prevailed after a few minutes. TFTC jacaro44.
jacaro44, I found your cache Canning Views dry and healthy . SL TFTH. Image shows: Canning River facing southwest (altitude = 44m).
Chasing a few Favorite caches in order to claim our Stealth mission badge this weekend. Geoson was instantly on to this. Fabulous. Have another favourite point. TFTC
Daily cache gets! I honestly don't think you can get a nicer spot in suburbia...
Great hidden cache, excellent location, and convenient parking. Perfect!

Great views from GZ and a well constructed cache. I walked right up to it as the coordinates were spot on for me and I had found similar caches before. Thank you for the hide jacaro44.
Arrived at GZ and decided on a couple of likely candidates - and came up empty handed. Started to get a little deflated as lots of previous logs indicated this was a quick find - and then geo-13yo casually announces "found it." Loved the hide - diabolical goodness!! A favourite from us. TFTC
After our phone's GPS settled down, we knew exactly where to look, as we had seen caches like this one before. TFTC
omg. i had to hike this terrain from the downside with NO FIND. im so devastated.
Once we overcame the steps and the wonder of why anyone would run up and down them repeatedly for exercise (!) we set about looking for the prize. The lack of hiding options meant a quick find. TFTC!
Headed into Perth for a bit of caching & this was one we found along the way... Only really one spot this one could be, so Jase made a quick find here
Thanks for the nice hide & for showing us this great view [^]
